Agree with you 100%. Unfortunately, as far as I know, sheriffs are elected and this makes them politicians. :-((
I do wonder, in this case, what investigation is necessary. He was watched by many do this, disarmed by a woman no less and restrained by two men. He’s NOT a “suspected gunman” or in this case innocent til proven guilty…..HE’S GUILTY! Even an insanity plea does not take away his guilt of committing the crime…maybe just changes his mode of incarceration…if he’s lucky enough to be incarcerated.
A trial is necessary but in my opinion, should only take a day or two and then only be to handle the formalities….like for instance, yes, his fingerprints ARE on the gun and the bullet(s) match the gun and then his sentence.

Diamond back, you’re right. I just despise those people who go around with red pens trying to correct others comments. You’d think we were in school instead of writing comments. Many of us make mistakes because we’re typing too fast and fail to recheck properly. Ok well, I consider those with the little red pen usually have little who-who‘s or it wouldn’t bother them so much. This is for comments and ideas, not a blackboard at school waiting to be corrected for spelling & sentence structure.

The left has redefined the meaning of the word “indecent” to levels below that of defiling the memory of the deceased. With the smoke of gun powder still in the air and the bodies of the victims down on the ground, they shamelessly attempt to politicize a national tragedy.

What a disgraceful lot they are. They are to be held in the lowest of contempt, below even that of the indecency of the Westboro Baptist Church. Despicable.

When the letter from the shooter’s safe proved without a doubt the killer was a leftwing nutjob, the sheriff refused to accept the truth and keeps babbling the same lies long after they have been proven wrong. Does this sheriff have the right to “voice” his own opinion i.e. “Free Speech”? Indubitably
Does he have the responsibility to make sure his ‘personal’ opinion does NOT get in the way of his professional job as an elected official? YES!!!
What he has done here is absolutely irresponsible for a Law Enforcement officer. I don‘t care whether he’s Left or Right. As a Law Enforcement officer, he is required to be objective. And if that statement is too unclear for you, that means he leaves his opinion at home when he’s on the job. That’s what he was elected and paid by tax payer money to do! I noticed he was slow to admit this young man had been in trouble before (5 times) and with his mother’s influence, perhaps there was a slight of hand in how it was handled. Sorry, the Sheriff might be a good ‘ole boy, but he needs to be reprimanded severely and asked to resign for his personal comments at this heinous crime against people in his community.

The more I think about this guy, the more suspicious I get. Consider: 1) He’s obviously VERY liberal or left leaning. 2) He’s been a proponent for being a sanctuary county for illegal immigrants – with a statistically much higher incidence of violent crime involving Drug cartels. 3) As a Law Enforcement officer of several years, and a superior of other officers I might add, he would KNOW FULL WELL that his spouting off this opinion garbage was going to taint the prosecution of the suspect. The defense attorney will eat this up. At the very least, keep the case going for some time with all the basis for appeals. This all smacks of a deliberate act to provide the suspect a viable defense, and hence, raises my suspicions of him being on someone’s payroll – and I‘m not talking about the taxpayer’s either. Makes me wonder what would come to light should someone “follow the Benjamins”. hmmm?

You probably can’t fire a Sheriff unless you can prove some sort of wrongdoing.

Anyway, what you can do is realize that the global elite, through the Progressives, are using this crisis to try to take away our right of free speech and our guns. Whether you realize it or not, this country is on the verge of having its sovereignty completely dissolved into this NWO. All that’s left to do is to declare martial law in the US and turn on the Socialist / Communist system of the NWO. That’s it! Of course, these officials fear for their lives too much to do this with an armed citizenry. So they are using this crisis to its fullest.

See, if its not legal to speak out against the governemnt, they’ll just use Homeland Security (USA’s version of KGB) to call you a terrorist and imprison you. Then they’ll use the FCC to keep you from posting the wrong kind of speech on the internet. The Republicans in congress aren’t scared enough to go along with limitations on free speech and gun control. So the Progressives will use the unconstitutional regulatory branches to bring their evil plan to fulfillment.

This Sheriff is just one more pawn in the system. Maybe he has some skeletons in his closet and got word that they are going to be brought public if he isn’t on TV every 5 minutes calling for limiations on speech. After all, seeing a sheriff say that speech provokes people to commit murder is supposed to make all the stupid serfs believe that something must be done. That something is supposed to be an end to free speech and an end to the right to own a gun.

Time for common sense here. Do not accept your own slavery. We have to hold this country together for two more years, then we can change it with the elections. We have to make sure our newly elected representatives are watchful not to let the FCC and Homeland Security bypass Congress and trample our consitutional rights until then. Believe me, the Progressives will try like never before. They’ve got 2 yrs, then they will be out of power, at least for a while, but hopefully forever. Let’s hope we still have a country by then.

He has a right to free speech but not to blatently lie about the event when he said that the Tea Party was partily responsible for this attack which is flat out wrong, Disgusting, and a complete lie on his part.

      You Think You Know?
      FOUNDING FATHERS WERE AGAINST DEMOCRACY

The Founding Fathers Were Against Democracy Because It Was Really Anarchy In Disguise; They Chose System of Governmental Control.

When the United States was born, the Founding Fathers were adamantly against democracy and sought to establish a republic. Their goal was to create a nation that would be strong, upstanding and committed to a fair deal for its entire population.

They were even in many respects opposed to democracy as the following quote attests. ‘A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where 51 percent of the people may take away the rights of the other 49. ‘

      – Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States, author of the Bill of Rights.

The Founding Fathers looked high and wide for the most reasonable system to put in place for the new country that was to become the United States.

But they found in history only reasons to avoid democracy, at least in its literal sense, as one of the worst forms of government ever to be attempted. It is for this reason that the United States Constitution does not refer to a democracy.

What it does say is that the United States should guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government.

This jack a– is typical of most police chiefs and sheriffs. There are exceptions but not many. They are mouthpieces for the liberal agenda as they are usually overeducated, underexperienced officers who hid in special assignments and will never have a clue what a real police officer thinks. 101, I gotta agree, if this mouthy sheriff had been doing his job, probably none of this would have happened. He’s proving himself to be a consumate loser. The more he opens his mouth, the more the rest of us can see what a mistake his district made and hopefully they will replace him at the first opportunity with someone competent. As we look back, we also have to point to the FBI and wonder how this shooter passed his background check. Granted that if he was adamant he could have found an illegal weapon, but somehow it was too easy for him to obtain a legal weapon. I don’t want to make the purchase of a weapon for self-defense or for hunting, more difficult, I just want to make it nearly impossible for the criminal element and the mentally unstable to get a weapon. Of course to do the first, we must have competent law enforcement (which excludes this sheriff and many, many judges). To do the second, we may need to revisit how information that shows mental problems can be used to protect society. Think of the murders at Virginia Tech. Same thing, a very deranged young man was able to obtain weapons and kill innocent people. We need to get some dialog going on this before our elected democrats attempt to further curtail our freedom and Constitutional rights.

Almost before the bullets had stopped flying in the assassination attempt of Congresswoman Giffords, the mainstream media invoked the preponderance of propaganda proclaiming that this was just another violence incident caused by “inflammatory right-wing rhetoric.” An investigation of the perpetrator soon proved that he was just another proponent of tyranny with little or no connection to true patriots.

“Inflammatory right-wing” rhetoric, of course, is any disagreement with President Obama’s actions or proposals. The purpose of this propaganda is to discredit and silence the opposition to tyranny (Obama’s programs). Even though the thug has been proven to be just another disciple of tyranny, the attacks on patriots continues.

One would expect that after so many failed attempts to tie the rhetoric of freedom to the cause of violence, the mainstream media’s credibility would be severely damaged. Sadly, this is not the case. The lies just continue with the expectation that the quantity of lies will trump the truth. So don’t expect the mainstream media to apologize or even admit that they were wrong.

The tyrants, with virtual control of the mainstream media, are following Joseph Goebbels’ instructions for the dissemination of propaganda. The volume and quantity of lies will be used to bury the truth with the expectation of discrediting and silencing those who advocate freedom.

The tyrant’s premises are false. So the only arguments that the tyrant can use are fear mongering, emotion, sarcasm, ridicule, attacking the messenger and misrepresentation of the facts (lying). Those who expect to reach huge profits from the misery caused by tyranny are experts at these tactics. These tactics are very effective when the tyrant controls most of the media. Do not be duped by repetition. The 10,000th repetition of the lie is no more valid than the initial statement.

The only relevant issue is freedom or tyranny! http://commonsense21c.com/

He says it is because he knows and loves Gabby; well, most everyone else does, too. He says he is just voicing his personal opinion: Sheriff, it is one thing to voice your opinion in your living room. It is another the spew angry, emotional accusations on national TV. This sheriff reminds me of a cop back home. Try to find the facts that fit his theory. Never investigate to find the truth, but get an idea in his head and then do everything to prove it, whether true or not.
To do an honest investigate, you take the crime, the Known facts at the time, collect the evidence, do the foot work to find any more evidence/facts, and put it all together to see where it leads.
You can not do the leading just to end up where you WANT to be.
This sheriff fails Invstigation 101 big time. Even a rookie knows better. Hopefully the FBI will investigate correctly and not allow anyone, and I mean anyone to change the facts.

Sheriff Dupnik is actually right in saying that the level of vitriol in America is disconcerting. It is shameful that progressive socialist democrats and the activist liberal media elitists conspire to lie to America by ascribing the leftist assassin’s personal politics to the Tea Party and conservatism.

      Combat the lies!

1.) Register more conservative citizens to vote.

2.) Vigilantly disallow vote fraud in all forms.

3.) Boycott all advertisers of news outlets that lie.

If you don’t like divisive vitriol caused by the lies, then fire the liberal politicians and media liars! Don’t let the enemies of our Constitutional Republic bring our nation down, care enough to clean it up! Restore America’s conservative values, especially if you share the frustration of Sheriff Dupnik, a dedicated public servant who took an oath to support and defend the United States Constitution, including Amendment 1.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

“In matters of power let no more be heard of the confidence in man but bind them down from mischief by the chains of the constitution.” Thomas Jefferson
