Bachmann Camp Accused of Shoving ABC News Reporter in South Carolina

AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — ABC News says a reporter trying to question GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was pushed and shoved by members of her camp after a campaign event in South Carolina.

Network news senior vice president Jeffrey Schneider said reporter Brian Ross was shoved Tuesday as security tried to block him from the Minnesota congresswoman while he asked whether she had to miss votes because of migraines. Schneider said Ross has been a victim of worse violence but added no reporter should be roughed up pursuing a story.

A spokeswoman for Bachmann did not immediately return messages seeking comment.

An online news site claimed Monday that Bachmann was reportedly sidelined by headaches. Bachmann says her symptoms are controlled with medication and have not gotten in the way of her political work.

    happy to see the blaze scooped this story before o’rielly— he alluded to a story while talking about bachman and an abc reporter last night… says they are researching it and will be on tonight…. just like bill— always a day late to any story…. I guess prime time has its drawbacks! LOL!

      I lived in Aiken for a in 2009/2010 managing a construction project at a pharma facility and remember this reporter as having a strong liberal idiology, especially if the story was about a down and out just needing a hand from Uncle Sam.

      The senior statesman of evening news has the credibility which he DOES,
      BECAUSE of his personal INSISTANCE upon EVERYTHING being fact-checked and TRIPLE-SOURCED.

      No, he doesn’t get “the scoop” very often.

      But, what he reports, you can bet your bottom dollar has been as reliably confirmed as is possible!!!

      I‘ll stand by Bill’s cred ANY DAY !

      Theblaze.com tries to be more cutting edge, though they seem late out of the gate on some stories as well. I attribute that to growing pains and a young, unsophisticated staff. I keep hoping that they will roll out a full-fledged site with the lauch of GBTV.

      Bill O is one of the main reasons we have Obama, all his we tortured the prisoners crap that the left constantly used against Bush, his softball dry humping interviews with Obama, etc were disgusting, he’s as close to a RINO as you can get with out actually being a politician. He does really make the point though that a diploma from Harvard is pretty much worthless.

      I’ve watched Bill O since the very beginning and believe me I am no “Birther” or conspiracy theorist. But when he scrubbed the Social Security email segment, that was it for me. I can not trust any person who prescribes to such measures to protect self. I do not watch him any longer and will not watch him any longer until I hear a reasonable explanation and apology for the scrubbing. Mind you, it is not the content that was scrubbed that cost my viewership, rather it was the mere scrubbing of what actually happened merely to protect self that did it. How can you trust someone that would do that.

      IMO. babblin’ billO is all about self aggrandizement.
      I watch him, but not as much as before. When Williams subs for him. I switch channels.
      I think they should give Laura his spot and move him back 2 hrs earlier to Beck’s old time slot.
      As for his ratings, whilst it is great, one must remember he gets two segments one at 7-&8 pm (central & eastern) and again at 10&11 pm.(central & eastern)
      Then again the next morning at 4&5 am (central and eastern). So w/in a 9 hr time frame, his show(same one) is seen 3 times.
      Whereas, when Beck was on, his show was at 4 pm (my time) then again at 2 am the next morning.
      Most people are at work like me ,at 4pm (my time) and for sure most are sleeping at 2 am (my time) .
      So he does have an obvious advantage in the rating contest.
      I could be wrong on this. but deep down, I think Babblin’ billO is a closet Soetoro supporter. Well, he has to give him a bit of hell now and then so as not to be too obvious.

      I think O’Reilly thinks like a Liberal sometimes, a Conservative on other issues, a Progressive sometimes and a Libertarian in others, but he always says what he thinks. I don‘t think he’s about self-aggrandizing, but he’s a bit arrogant and it may appear that way. I think he‘s sincere about doing what he believes what’s best for America, although I disagree with him often. He’s an Independent, so he’s all over the political spectrum.
      Is Glenn Beck growing a goatee? ^_^

      The Bachmanns need to use “subtle security” and address legitimate public concerns. The GW Bush Administration (under Karl Rove) was famous for controlling so-called public events, so it CAN be done.

      Michele needs to conduct her campaign as openly as possible or else she will earn herself the reputation of being secretive and covering up some fear or weakness. The media will smell blood and go after her. Also the bullying bodyguard syndrome is associated with divas and dictators who are afraid. -Just sayin’

      The Voters deserve to know if she is heavily medicated for migraines on a regular basis and whether her proud submissiveness to Marcus will provide a “two for one” Presidential package like Bill & Hillary provided. The Gingrich crowd hated the idea Hillary might be wearing the pants.

      Bill’s short sideness is his achilles heel. He can’t add 1 and 1 together to see what will happen.
      Some may argue Beck looked too much into something but Beck could spot 2 long before it hit and Orielly would report on 2 long after it hit. Oreilly couldn’t put an anti-government man on the roof with a scoped rifle and the president in a convertable as an assassinatiion attempt until the trigger was pulled. It’s too late at that point

      Better for O’Reilly to validate the whole story before airing in prime time. You will notice that the initial posting of this story was after 2am this morning; the Factor aired at 8pm EDT on the 19th.

      I don’t have cable, so I don’t watch FOX, but one time I was visiting and O’Reilly came on and having of course heard of him and also that FOX was conservative, I was interested and eager to watch. After his program was over, my thought was geeze, if this is all the conservative FOX and O’Reilly are, I’m not missing much. I also got to watch Hannity that time and, having listened to his radio program where he’s alone, he had liberals on with him like Juan Williams. Thanks but no thanks. They’re balanced alright, but unfortunately the 90% of the media which is democrap are not. That’s ok for FOX, but we need some networks that espouse the conservative position, like the alphabet networks espouse the leftist position.

    Obama’s SEIU and their vicious beatdown of Mr. Gladney – at one of the first Townhall meetings on Obamacare – in Missouri – all caught on videotape.

    Felony assault charges were reduced to misdemeanors – changed from criminal court to municipal court – although Mr Gladney was sent to the hospital with broken bones.

    those are actions of the Far Left wingnuts – such as what occurred w Obama endorsing Martha Cockley in the Special Election in Massachussettes – when she refused to respond to a reporter after leaving a high-dollar fund-raiser for Special Interests groups. Cockley’s thugs pushed the man down in the snow.
    When the story hit the internet, the Obama campaign for Cockley claimed – the man fell and was helped up – when in fact the video of the incident shows an entirely different scenario – he was pushed down in the snow, everyone left him laying there – while threatening him not to get up.

    Get used to it. The media has been working on a plan of attack for the 2012 campaign season for some time. It began with the most unscrupulous unrelenting attack of Sarah Palin and her family and will continue with the same type, if not more ferocious attacks on the new percieved threats to Mr O.. When you have an uber billionaire paying the media and people off the street millions of dollars to comb through emails or to dig up any kind of PERSONAL dirt on a promising challenger for the presidency something is wrong. I am and have been since day one, at a loss as to why the press has never attempted to gain information from anyone about him while he was growing up or in college or high school or whatever…I don’t understand how the first black president seems to have…what…no more than one friend who have come forward to say, “Hey I went to school with him!“ Where are all the people who should now be standing up saying ”I knew him when…” My goodness all other presidents had so much info about them we actually knew their damn bowel and bladder habits!       BTW, why wasn’t Barack asked how he overcame his crack addiction in 2008? Was there some program that he was a part of? I know that crack is highly addictive because my ex-husband became a crack addict. Obama definitely has an addictive personality.

      Cigarette smoker, crack cocaine user, and who knows what what else he’s addicted to. It‘s funny that the alphabet news outlets weren’t concerned that his addictive personality would have a negative effect on his ability to be President, but they zero in on Michele Bachmann’s migraine headaches.

      Modern cigarette smoking is an oral fixation. There is a proven correlation to smoking filter cigarettes and male oral sex. In the House Speaker’s case it is less likely that he can be manipulated if he just sticks to smoking. But some impressionable freshmen are closet smokers, and are being watched closely by the Log Cabin Republicans, and one is also frequently mentioned as a possible Vice President for Michele.
