Bachmann Super PAC Launches New Attack Ad on Perry, Perry Blasts Back

One of Michele Bachmann’s support groups launched an attack ad on Thursday, targeting Rick Perry’s claims at fiscal conservatism.

Bachmann Super PAC Launches New Attack Ad on Perry, Perry Blasts Back

Courtesy of Keep Conservatives United

The Super PAC, Keep Conservatives United, set an ad to hokey music playing up the perception of the Texas governor as a hillbilly who isn’t what he says he is when it comes to money management. The ad slams him as a faux fiscal conservative who increased state spending and borrowing during his 11 years of service as governor.

Take a look at the spot below:

The Perry campaign responded to the ad Thursday afternoon according to Business Insider, saying its claims were “patently and provably false” and attacking the Super PAC by calling it Bachmann’s “front-group.”

“Gov. Perry is a proven fiscal conservative, having cut taxes, signed six balanced budgets, and led Texas to become America’s top job-creating state,” Perry’s communications director Ray Sullivan said in a statement. “Unlike Washington, the Texas budget is balanced, does not run deficits and limits spending, even as Texas added jobs and population in big numbers.”

BI says the ad has already run on CNN, CNBC and Fox News in South Carolina, a very important state who’s support both Perry and Bachmann will be gunning to win.

This is the first public attack on Perry since he joined the race a few weeks ago and also the first one from the Bachmann team. Bachmann now trails both Perry and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in national polls.

Michele Bachmann is a FLAKE and a dishonest one at that. FactCheck.Org states the following:

A pro-Bachmann PAC misleads viewers when it says Rick Perry
doubled the size of Texas’ budget from 2000 to 2010. When adjusted for
inflation and population, the total Texas budget increased by 21 percent
during that time. Excluding federal funds, however, state spending
actually went down by 6 percent.

The ad also says the Texas governor this year is “spending more money
than the state takes in.” That’s true, but the state is required to
balance the budget. This year, the Legislature dipped into a rainy day
fund and made budget cuts to balance the books.

Isn’t it amazing how so many of the pundits on FOX News try to label Rick Perry as a Tea Party candidate? This couldn’t be further from the truth!

Rick Perry is an open-border globalist and not to be trusted.

      Lots of manipulation, from BOTH!

      Doubled spending over the decade
-True when not adjusted for inflation or population growth
-If adjusted for inflation and population growth spending still increased but at 21% over a decade or 4.2% every two years.
-Either scenario Texas Government spending grew

Spent more then taking in- True
-2010 used Federal stimulus to balance it’s budget
-2011 Texas had to tap into oil rainy day fund

      Covers deficit with record borrowing-True
-Record sale of one year notes
-The borrowed money must be paid in one year
-If it had no deficit, it would not be taking from rainy day fund or selling these non-interest notes (a loan)

While Bachmann‘s SuperPAC uses figures for their advantages so does Perry by saying he doesn’t grow government and spending.

Truth-Texas spent more then it has made, deficit, and spending has increased.

What is the difference in either‘s behavior and Washington’s? Nothing…

@okie – Perry tried to make cuts permanent, but, the state‘s senate wouldn’t allow it. Now, they have gone back and done so after all.

I’m not saying he is perfect. Who is?

But, you are all listening to mainstream media spin, and you are getting a BIASED view.

Either that, or, you are actually shills and trolls pretending to be displeased TeaPartiers.

I’m not endorsing Perry, but, I AM going to stand up for ANYONE when I hear mistruths and misinformation being spread.

Listening to the ad and checking it against the state comptroller‘s annual financial reports isn’t mainstream media. Its FACT and doing my own research……

I do not appreciate being called a shill or a troll, that is very disrespectful and non productive. I see it the same as violence. It isn’t very nice to throw insults, especially when unwarranted. Those with TRUTH need no insults just as they need no violence.

So respectfully, what exactly is the “mistruths” you speak of from my post? Back your mouth up with facts please. Thank you and look forward to your reply.

Glen Beck cares about having control over his own body. SO please please ask Perry WHY HE SUPPORTED MANDATED VACINNATIONS of GUARDASIL with NO…got that, for ANY reason WAIVERS.
You simply cannot be a Conservative and take such a position of power over the bodies of the masses. NOPE…I’m warry of Perry and if he becomes the GOP candidate I bow out. No more activism. Because in my view after all the research he is a wolf in sheeps clothing and I won’t fall for that. I want someone who doesn’t get in bed with BIG PHARMA to be my candidate. I’d like to know why no one, not even GBeck has discussed Perry’s support for FORCE VACCINATIONS of Guardasil. When you research, as GB always suggests, you learn about the heinous side effects. And Perry said NO WAIVERS until the death toll really mounted. WHY is no one discussing this. IT is a huge issue because it concerns THE CONTROL OVER ONE’S OWN BODY. Please tell me how a conservative could support force vaccinations. There is no way to justify this. And it makes me HUGELY wary of Perry. Hey that’s a good slogan. WARY OF PERRY!!!
He look asd sounds good…BUT HIS ACTIONS NOW…THOSE SAY SOMETHING QUITE DIFFERENT. I small a rat and I was fooled into supporting McCain when I KNEW BETTER…not going down that road again… G BECK PLEASE DISCUSS THIS ISSUE. You of all people want the right to govern your OWN BODY!!!

      @Tom

The vaccination was mandatory and there is a provision for parents to file an affidavit to prevent the mandate on religious or philosophical grounds.

      The issue is this:
      Executive ordered
MANDATED, forced unless you formally (file paperwork) object at YOUR expense
Perry’s financial ties to Merck, the maker of the only approved vaccination
The State offering it FREE to those without insurance

This is very similar to how Obama illegally passed mandated health insurance except to those who object at their expense to be issued a waiver. What is the difference?

After researching I am shocked to learn that Perry mandated VACCINATIONS for ALL young women in
Texas with the Guardasil vaccination. Now pushing asside your feelings about VACCINATIONS, the bottom line is YOU CANNOT BE A CONSERVATIVE and support force vaccinations. He said NO WAIVERS. That alone is the reason I can’t support him. But friends have added in that he worked for Al Gore’s Campaign and supported Hillary Care. Add in that many say he is the Bilderberger pick and I say…he becomes the GOP candidate and I bow out of even voting!!!

The law enforcement in our area isn’t investigating buzzards anymore. No sensationalizing the situation like Arizona. Our ranch and everyone near us is tied up in lawsuits from Mexico, when its citizens illegally cross the border and attempt to cross our ranches and die from exposure or dehydration. They have not even once been successful with their lawsuits, but it ties up our money on attorneys. We are sick and tired of it and will not stand for it anymore !!!!!!!!

Feel like you are being invaded? Too bad the Governors of the border states do not feel the same or know their Constitution for if they did they would send troops to the border immediately as granted by the Constitution to stop such an invasion.

      Article I Section 10.3
“No state shall, without the consent of Congress, lay any duty of tonnage, keep troops, or ships of war in time of peace, enter into any agreement or compact with another state, or with a foreign power, or engage in war, unless actually INVADED, OR in such imminent danger as will not admit of delay.”

I believe the argument of invasion and delay of the Federal Government to act is suffice for Border Governors to send troops to stop such invasion until the Federal Government acts.

I know your frustrated and you should be but don’t let that frustration destroy your soul by murder. Murder is not a justified punishment for illegal entry, property damage, or even drug smuggling. Something to ponder……

@okie – I hate to say it, but, I agree – I believe governors, DO, in fact, have the Constitutional right to send troops to the border.

Before anyone screams it is not an invasion – let me point out the high powered weapons they are USING on Border Patrol Agents and that they are bringing to and for across the border. They are ARMED and DANGEROUS, and, if nothing else, are a waging a FINANCIAL war against American JOBS and American TAXPAYERS – taking money out of tax coffers, and taking jobs Americans WOULD DO. They are NOT just picking fruit and veggies as many claim. They have GOOD construction jobs, food-service jobs, housekeeping jobs, landscaping jobs, etc. Claim Americans won’t do those jobs? Just watch HGTV or Food Network for an hour. Americans would START THEIR OWN COMPANIES and provide housekeeping services, etc. Many restaurants WILL NOT HIRE YOU if you do not speak Spanish now, because so many of their employees ONLY speak Spanish!!
Now, the Secretary of Labor (an appointed position-not an elected one) is SIGNING INTERNATIONAL TREATIES (calling them “agreements”) that commit us to paying ILLEGAL ALIENS minimum wage. They are not even allowed to work in this country… by law! And she thinks she has the authority to LEGISLATE ??? What the HELL?? I guess it is to protect the seven Americans living illegally in South America.

Please show me from the Constitution were our Federal Government has the power to protect “interests” or “allies”.

What is odd is so many fear a world Government and proclaim to want freedom yet out the other side of their mouth proclaim we must protect our “allies” and “interests” therefore wanting a bigger Federal Government and World Government. You can’t have it both ways….

Why have an “ally” if it can not protect itself? An ally that needs protection is a dependent and should simply become US territory.
The interests the federal Government is required to protect is the American people and territory (States).

One of the biggest is the crony, “I’ll take care of ya” relationship between donors and the candidate. We’ve seen plenty of that with Obama. And…….if places like Fox and the Blaze would actually report some NEEDED TRUTH on Perry, others would know about it.

Shame on Beck’s support of Perry after slamming Obama so much.

And if we get the status quo, nothing will change, the problems get worse, perhaps a bit slower than they would if Obama had won, but still worse. And in yet another four years, the so-called “conservative” who spent money like a drunken progressive will be blamed and the voters will mistakingly blame “conservative” policies and then we’ll get someone who will probably be even worse than Obama.

We must not have a 3rd party candidate if we wish to win & get Obama out of office. We must back the candidate the majority choose. I think that will be Perry.

What 3rd party candidate? Ron Paul is running as a Republican!
The ONLY Republican that’s a true Constitutionalist with 30 years of voting record to prove it.

Actually, Obama is just the current head of the beast, called statism. Cut off that head and two more grow in its place. I say you have to cut the floor out from under the beast by going after the premises, on principle.

    Perry is the ultimate RINO…

His record, not his rhetoric, is atrocious. Now that he‘s running for office he’s saying what he knows the right wants him to say. The fact is this guy is a NWO, Statist, pure and simple. Do your homework! He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

We have a historic opportunity to get a real Constitutionalist in place… This is not the guy!
