Bacon Milkshake?! It’s Happening at Jack in the Box

Bacon Milkshake?! Its Happening at Jack in the BoxIt‘s probably safe to say Michelle Obama wouldn’t approve.

Fast food chain Jack in the Box is offering a new sweet treat that will likely delight as many people as it horrifies: a bacon milkshake.

It‘s part of Jack in the Box’s new “Marry Bacon” campaign and will only be available for a limited time — and if customers know to ask for it.

“The shake is not listed on our menus in the restaurants, so it’s more of a ‘secret item’ that people can order. Each restaurant is getting a very limited quantity, so we don’t know how long they will last,” a Jack in the Box spokesman told the Huffington Post.

The ad contains a similar disclaimer, warning that “The bacon shake is limited as limited can be. There’s no telling when it might disappear.”

Alas, the shake doesn’t actually contain real meat: According to the fast food chain’s website, it’s made with “bacon flavored syrup.” It packs a caloric punch, though — a regular 16-ounce size holds 773 calories and 40 grams of fat. A 24-ounce large one contains 1,081 calories and 54 grams of fat. If you want to check it out for yourself, it’s listed as a “beverage” rather than a “dessert.”

Oh, and if you were curious about what the “Marry Bacon” campaign is all about, here’s an ad to clear things up:

      Wow… so much for moderation!

There is NOTHING WRONG with a bacon flavored milkshake!
In moderation, it is just fine. Kind of hypocritical to claim you are for moderation, then to badmouth a milkshake, don’t you think?

You body doesn’t know the difference in high fructose corn syrup and cane sugar and beet sugar and date sugar. It’s all simple carbohydrates and affects you the same.
In moderation, it is fine. Like most things.

      @TOMFERRARI

My point is that people don’t practice moderation anymore lol. If people practiced moderation, we wouldn’t have diabetes as rampant.

I’m big on personal responsibility, that’s where my moderation comes in. I won‘t drink this milkshake simply because I don’t want to have to work twice as hard to shed unnecessarily calories.

Moderation. Oh right let’s have the fast food industry continue to innovate as they clearly have the health and well being of the people as their primary mission. Take a break from the angry mob long enough to read Dr. Esselstyn’s book and become a little bit educated about the food you are putting in your mouth.

This Just In! First lady Michelle Obama was seen incognito gulping down large BACON SHAKES at the Jack-In-The-Box, near Dupont Circle.

Mrs. Obama was wearing Jackie O style sunglasses and a large tunic as she kept circling the drive-through in “FLOTUS 1 – Ground Mobile”; an Oprah Winfrey designer Cadillac Escalade from Government Motors, fueled by Argentinian switch grass

Mrs. Obama is trying – single-handedly, according to spokesperson Barbara Doubletalk, to “save the nation from getting fat”, by “drinking every single last one of these unhealthy shakes”.

“Plus”, she said; “Mrs. Obama said; ‘Barack likes that junk in my trunk!’”…..film at 11.

how about something happier for America today:
Service members in Afghanistan will be noshing on 10,000 pizza pies as they watch the Super Bowl on Sunday, thanks to a 4-year-old program run by a retired Air Force master sergeant.

Mark Evans is the founder of the Pizza 4 Patriots program, which brings together large pizza restaurants, the shipping company DHL, the military and thousands of individual donors. The program has delivered more than 50,000 pizzas to troops in the Middle East since 2008, when Evans’ son, then 15, asked him about the possibility of getting 300 pizzas to troops overseas.
