…and yet, not smart enough to know what the tea party movement is all about and he is confused?
Still, ‘Barb’ knows enough to hope that Palin stays in Alaska?
These two are disingenuous.
I find it odd that the Bush’s have come out of the woodwork after the election.
Where were they when Obama was ignoring the U.S. Constitution and cramming mandated health care down the throats of the American people… or bowing to foreign leaders? Real Americans stood up and were heard – yet you don’t know who those Americans are?
Nobody is fooled by the Bush family – duhhh
Report Post »PubliusPencilman
Posted on November 21, 2010 at 11:31amou see, I think the problem is that an educated and thoughtful guy like George H.W. Bush just isn’t impressed by your empty sloganeering. Do you really expect him to hear some meaningless drivel like “real Americans stood up and were heard” and suddenly have any idea what you are really talking about? I almost never agree with any of the Bushs, but I know that Bush Sr. wasn’t taught to think by some talking head madman with a chalk board.
I doubt the Tea Party will ever truly face the poverty of its ideas, which is why it is only a matter of time before it fades away entirely.

Posted on November 21, 2010 at 3:57amIf her opinion is based on her personal impression of Sarah Palin through meeting her in person than she is entitled to believe what she believes. But in all likelihood her opinion is based upon the derision Palin has received from the same people who said the same things about Ronald Reagan, Dan Quayle and her own son, George W Bush. Does she think her own son is as bad as he has been portryed by the media they seem to adore so much? She should know better. This certainly doesn’t help anyone, especially not the former Presidents book sales. I am a strong supporter of President Geworge W Biush, but I can’t see where his mother is coming from.

Even for the Palin haters…….you‘d think they’d start to figure out she is really ticking off the old guard and they are very afraid of her. Chris Matthews can’t do one weekday show without talk about her, and his Sunday broadcasts mostly every week feature her as one of their two main topics.
In the meantime the machine could care less about any other rhino or so called ‘conservative’ or what they are thinking about as far as 2012 goes……..only Sarah, and of course Glenn….they are quietly holding their breath on that one……..

Sarah Palin is more mainstream America than Barry and that Old thing called Barbara Bush. If you want people to take your seriously, you should take thinking seriously. Just a little advice.

Posted on November 21, 2010 at 12:04pmPalin is an idiot. She would be far worse than Bush. If she managed to cut spending, she’d be better than Obama.
George H.W. Bush was an exceptional President. He did the right thing and didn’t interfere with the recession that occurred in the early 1990s. He allowed the markets to work it out and rebound. The economy started to recover but not in time. Clinton ran saying, “It’s the economy, stupid!”. Bush 41 got punished for doing the right thing and allowing capitalism to work.
Additionally, Bush 41 was smart enough to not invade and occupy Iraq. No question we had to push Saddam back from Kuwait. But, H. W. knew it was the responsibility of the Iraqi people to revolt against Saddam and take over their own country. He told the Iraqi people he’d support them and recognize their nation, but that it was their responsibility to rise up and overthrow Saddam. He was right.
America is not supposed to be an empire that spreads democracy to the rest of the world. The security of the rest of the world is not our responsibility. We’re supposed to be a Republic. President Washington warned against forming permanent alliances like the UN. We won’t be able to be protectors of the world much longer, either, as we’re running out of money. We need a Reagan or a Bush 41. A Palin will be just as bad as a Dubya was for foreign policy and Obama is domestically.
Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal, even Donald Trump would be much better choices.

Someone needs to spend more time pointing out that Huckabee and Gingrich are more like the Bush ruling progressives and less time on Sarah. We know where she stands (on solid ground) it‘s time to focus on the slipper duo who are wearing crappy sheep’s clothing, like those two, before 2012!

Posted on November 21, 2010 at 8:38pmJust goes to show, that the word Republican can be spelled Progressive. If you think the recent Shellacking will definately change that….your may be surprised. Under Bush 1 and 2 the deficit went to 9T. Now in 2 years its 14T and raging forward. With the New boys and Girls in town….we all must be watchful before it is Progressive Business as Usual. I believe times will get much tougher, tax money goes to pay the USPS retirement/medical, GM Retireds < thats why the decade breaking profits come from, Fed/State pensions < broke < to be paid by tax payers, State budgets < short falls to be paid by the working tax payers, Unemployed 99's < paid by tax payers, Police/Fire pensions < paid by tax payers, the list is endless. Were at a point that the world is laughing at us with no respect. But we did build tunnel's so small turtles could cross the road, farmers closed in Cent. Calif due to shut off of water because the small little fishies, Green electric companies will not pay you for adding energy to the electric grid after paying thousands for solar, their starting to tax real estate transactions, medicare is paying $8 for an office visit…they want to reduce that…I can keep going but whats the point….were done, they will probably end what was America. OH, don't even get me started on the stragic devaluation of real estate that has occurred over the past 2 years and the "in place" structure to handle millions of properties from Fannie/Freddie as "Renting from the Government". What house will you get and how much will you pay? Housing has "kept" us in reccession to meet the progressive ends.

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 2:10amMomma Bush just wanting son Jeb to have a chance to win the job. Palin would clean him up with a mop if they were to go at it in a primary. The Bush family are “Progressives” just like Obama just not as extreme. They are willing to take a longer time to get to the same end but they want Republican elitists to prevail. True Conservatives want the people to prevail in their private lives and not be financing the elite in the country.
“Progressives” want to put us back under a Colonial authority they deem appropriate, the also wish to remove certain classes and cultures of peoples out of their midst. They want to use minorities as their slaves, all “rich” peoples do. It happens every time some one becomes rich beyond their dreams by creating some thing that people clammer for. It puts them in a league into which they become corrupted with financial power and become no longer rational thinking adults.

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 9:06amNobody here will believe me when I say it, but Palin is a honey pot type plant. She’s not what you think she is. She’ll keep us embroiled in war and coasting along on progressive policies. She has no problem giving away our money, she just wants it for her own pet projects. We are being sold a bill of goods with this woman.
I don‘t think she’s a bad person, don’t get me wrong, I just get a very strong sense based on what I‘ve heard her say and what she’s done as a politician that she’s just “more of the same” except prettier.
Ma Bush is an elitist dorkweed of course, she buys into the whole “Palin represents the Tea Party” schtick like many in our cause do, hence her snuffling out her backhanded condemnation like she did

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 6:21amDUSTYLOVE, we aren’t moving away from anything. We have a tea party who has picnics and tour guides who give speeches about the bad things happening without offering any suggestions for solutions to the problem, except to sit peacefully and hear about it all, and pretty much says to bend over and take it with a friendly smile.
Report Post »We aren‘t moving away from anything because we’re letting it happen ’cause we’re friendly and peaceful sweetie pies.
Just look at the TSA searches, for example.
It won’t be long before people get used to the searches. What will happen is the airlines will all become Federal Airways, and this will be done by the Republicans. The Super Highway will be built, and it will have the same sound barrier walls along side of it (the ones that you have already become used to looking at). But, the sound barriers will be twice as tall as the ones you see now. Then there will be drug trafficking all through it, which will cause people to be searched before entering it. You will, by then be used to the body searches. It will take a whole day before you can even begin the road trip because the lines will be so long. They will then close the Super Highway. The wall will still be there. It will be the WALL that divides the country, and we will then be known as USA East and USA West. You will not be able to see your family or friends ever again if they are on the other side. The first wall that the liberals ever built was in Israel to divide the Israelites. They are proud of this, and visit the wall frequently, and even pray to it and worship it. It‘s the best thing they’ve ever done (in their eyes), and they continue to do it. This IS the brick and mortar. God bless those who can see, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 9:49amGeorge Bush Sr. doesn’t know what the Tea Party is about? This isn’t rocket science, the Tea Party is about following the Constitution. Either you are for the Constitution, or are against it, and if you are against it, you have no business calling yourself an American.
BTW, it was so nice of the Bushes to break their silence about criticizing politicians to take a jab at Sarah Palin. The wife could have said she wished Obama would go back to Chicago, or that Hillary should stay in the State Department, but no, Babs saves her first public insult for a Conservative Republican. And you expect me to buy your son’s book now? I’ll pass – you just reminded me why I didn’t particularly care for him as President. These self-serving gluttons have shown their true colors and are as much to blame for the downfall of America as Barack Obama.
