Barney Frank Complains GOP Cost-Cutting Will Be a ‘Pain in the Ass’

With a Republican majority taking control of the House of Representatives in January, Congressman Barney Frank, D-Mass., worries that his job spending the country‘s money won’t be as fun as it used to be. In fact, the current House Financial Services Chairman predicts that serving on the Appropriations Committee in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives will be a “great pain in the ass.”

“Fascinating fact, apparently for the first time in anybody’s memory, members of Congress have declined seats on the Appropriations Committee,” Frank said Nov. 18 during a CATO Institute panel on defense spending.

“The Appropriations Committee, which has been a great plum, is now going to be a great pain in the ass because you’re going to be expected to come up with cuts in things that are very popular, et cetera.”

  We the People have been fooled for so long. We thought that politicians would honor their oath and OUR America with all of it laws and Constitution. I really thought it had safeguards in place, boy, was I wrong. The Socialist/Progressives/Marxist have been very busy trying to put things in place to overthrow us Nevertheless, we have caught on and will take OUR country back making any sacrifice necessary to that end and that is going to hurt a lot of human beings.

  Since we were victims of Freddie, he can take his Appropriations Committee and shove it where the sun don’t shine. I wish I could inflict on him the pain that his lack of oversight caused my family in the last two years. Would I love a class action suit with his and Chris Dodd’s names at the top, which is probably not the Christian thing to do, but I would feel oh so much better. So, Barney, get over it!

  please, discrestionary spending is about 300 billion. How about cutting defense. Like cost plus contracts? how about private contractors making 10x what our soilders make for doing things our soilders used to do. like feeding the troops and protection of dignataries? How about cutting spending on weapons we dont need and dont work? that would cut trillions. as well as descretionary spending too. How about this crazy idea. cut spending and raise taxes to pay for this massive debt. Every time republicans double or triple the debt they end up raising our taxes anyways. Its the only way. We all have to sacrifice to cut the debt. that means paying more. Cutting this little bit and that little bit isnt gonna cut it people. Let make government smaller and streamline first then lets pay the debt by sacrificing. Why have 2 wars and not pay for them? Tax cuts while we are fighting wars? Who decided this was a smart thing. Also how about making huge multi-national companies pay they’re fair share of taxes. Like GE all you repubs hate GE right? well they pay no taxes at the end of the year. cause they have so many loop-holes to get out of paying. Clsoe them. make everyone contribute to pay this debt. Not just old people on SS and medicare and medicaide. Thats a drop in the well people. Raise everyones taxes and cut spending. Thats the only way to pay 14 triilion in debt. In MHO
