Something has changed with Beck. While at FN his programs were exciting and filled with thought provoking ideas. Since his move to South Lake, the show has become really mediocre at best. I hope there can be a revival of the former Beck.

Glenn is the first one to admit that he is not perfect gang. He is trying to live life and learn just like the rest of us. Glenn challenges himself as well as his listeners. We do not have to agree with him and who cares if he throws a tantrum when you don’t agree with him. He’s the guy that is trying to push us to think before we walk. If he angers you, so be it. Maybe that will cause you take action in your own community.

How can you dam-n glenn for the passion that he has for his country. We are not going to always agree. Stop being so hateful. Glenn has a radio show where he has to be a bit provocative to keep the conversation going. Now what are you going to do. Learn what you can from him, dismiss the things you don’t agree with and take action in your OWN life. GLENN is not running for office Mitt, Newt, Rick and Ron are. They should be ripped down and picked apart.

Let’s quit worrying about the messenger and listen to the message. This was really started by Ben Franklin who, in the end, found it impossible to totally succeed, but concluded the journey was more valuable than the destination. This is an exercise that, at worst, will help someone actually think about their own action and, maybe make them a better person. I’m in!

      @rdiet

If Washington was president today would we be in 130 countries with 900 bases? Would we have Iran surrounded with bases and 3 carriers off their coast? Would he sell our children‘s and grandchildren’s future for more wars and over spending? Would GW think it freedom to have TSA, The Patriot Act, SOPA, and NDAA?

Ron Paul doesnt think those are good things, but Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich do.

    George Washington was an anti-semite…

In Washington’s Farewell Address of 1796, he says that the USA shouldn’t protect Israel:

    ——————————————————————————–
“Excessive partiality for one foreign nation and excessive dislike of another cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots who may resist the intrigues of the favorite are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people, to surrender their interests.

The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible.”
-President George Washington, September 19, 1796

The money powers prey upon the nation in times of peace and conspire against it in times of adversity. It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, and more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces as public enemies, all who question its methods or throw light upon its crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the Bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe.. corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money powers of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed. Yes, a well researched book that concludes that Washington was an orthodox Anglican. This should come as no surprise to anyone given his background and the times he lived in.
He was undoubtedly one of the greatest Englishmen of all time.

Faux Snooze is MEANT to ‘incite, provoke and ENTERTAIN.‘ GBTV by and large is designed to POINT one to part the wool and ’de’ ostrich-ize those who can see the trees for the forest. it isn’t MEANT to entertain you (although Glenn has TOLD us time and again — he IS a ‘rodeo clown’) — doesn’t mean we have to AGREE with him. But — I’m still free enough and OPEN MINDED enough to want my information unsanitized and RAW — with BOTH sides of the ‘story’ including all facts on which I can then form my OWN opinion. Not to get all ‘religious, but — Hosea 4:6

Best would be JESUS CHRIST, which is the ONE George Washington patterned his life after. Maybe Glenn thinks asking people for follow CHRIST would be too tough for us?

We are to worship GOD and none other.

Nice idea, but it falls way short. However, it is a beginning, and the more we get into Scripture, the faster we get to know this GOD of LOVE. Whatever it takes, LORD. We need to get YOU into our lives and us into YOURS a.s.a.p.

Glenn isn’t suggesting we worship George Washington, just try to emulate him. There’s a lot of difference between respect/admiration and worship.

I’m uncomfortable with Glenn Beck embracing George Washington as the owner of his history. It’s unlikely that he even authored the book but rather a ghost writer. For him to take full credit for the authorship of his books is galling.

Well, maybe by the end of the year he really will be familiar with this great man and adjust his views accordingly. George Washington put the liberty and well being of his country first.

Ben Franklin was a womanizer and drunkard…even in his later life..even though being with his common law wife for decades….Ben loved his ale and the ladies in the salons.

Was he a great man…yes…but Washington have more on the religious morality side than Franklin. Still love Benny don’t get me wrong..the guy was one of the greatest thinkers, workers, philanthropists of all time…
