Bears Fans Post Many Videos of Cutler Jerseys Being Burned

Bears Fans Post Many Videos of Cutler Jerseys Being Burned
CHICAGO (AP) — The Bears came out of hibernation too late behind a young quarterback. And it wasn’t Jay Cutler, either.

Cutler was off target and out of sync, and the Chicago Bears simply ran out of magic Sunday, dropping the NFC championship game 21-14 to rival Green Bay at Soldier Field.

EDITOR’S NOTE: CONTENT WARNINGS APPLY ON SOME OF THESE VIDEOS

It was a bitter ending for a team that appeared to be coming apart midway through the season, only to go on a big run that led to the NFC North title and a first-round playoff bye.

The sight of Cutler on the sideline after he was replaced early in the third quarter by Todd Collins sent a shiver through the crowd on a cold day. Then again, what happened before that wasn’t exactly warming them up.

The offense was sluggish and punchless all day.

It looked like offensive coordinator Mike Martz simply ran out of tricks against Dom Capers’ defense before third-string quarterback Caleb Hanie led a comeback bid. Then again, what could Martz do with his starter like performing like this?

Not since high school had Cutler led a winning team, and in his first NFC championship game, he sure seemed jittery. He forced passes, threw off his back foot and wound up going 6 for 14 with 80 yards and an interception.

It was a sharp contrast from the previous game against Seattle, when Cutler joined Otto Graham as the only quarterbacks to throw for two touchdowns and run for two in a game.

This time?

He was on the sideline after the opening drive in the second half with an unspecified knee injury and the Bears trailing 14-0. It was not clear which knee he hurt or how it happened.

The seldom used Collins lasted two possessions before third-stringer Hanie came on, and that’s when the Bears got going.

An undrafted free agent out of Colorado State in 2008, he led the Bears on two fourth-quarter touchdown drives but also got picked off twice. B.J. Raji returned the first 18 yards for a touchdown, and Sam Shields sealed the win with an interception in the final minute.

These teams had met 181 teams and never had the stakes been higher. Only once had they played in the postseason, with the Bears winning at Wrigley Field in 1941, a week after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The odds that the Bears would even reach the playoffs this year seemed slim at best after they dropped three of four before their off week — an ominous sign for coach Lovie Smith, who was given orders to improve or else by ownership before the season. They were 4-3 and Cutler was getting knocked around like a human tackling dummy, but they used their time off well.

Martz committed to the run and the Bears won seven of eight before dropping the regular-season finale at Green Bay.

Along the way, Cutler seemed to answer critics who questioned whether he was capable of leading a winner. He did just that, up until the biggest game of his career with a shot at making it to the Super Bowl.

Let’s see, Muslims burn American Flags and symbols of the U.S. Fans in Chicago burn Jersey’s and Obama is a Muslim. The whole city of Chicago are Muslim’s , now we know! Only in Chicago where the Bears have a great comeback year when they were counted out and make to the NFC Conference Championship. Another word for football fans in Chicago,“IDIOTS”! At least they won’t be going to Dallas to show their idiotic behavior! Hey my team as played in 5 national championship games and only won one. We still have our coach and glad off it! We would never burn a Sooner Jersey, we just reload and try it again. Thinking about it I know why they are burning Jersey’s they are ,“Progressive Marxist Democrats”! That’s all that needs to be said!

Here’s the deal people, Im a Chicagoan, and a die hard Bears Fan, Mr. Cutler has had many opportunities to connect with Chicago, to connect with the fans yet never done so, he plays like all he wants is his paycheck, and its heart breaking, he quit the game because his itty bitty knee hurt, with players like Urlacher, Olsen, Hester, Forte who play this game with a passion someone like Cutler acts like he cares less, he has proven today to us that he doesn’t care, and with a coach like Lovie who called a time out right when we got the first down ruined the game for us, we need a complete overhaul with our quarterback and coach, get them both out, and bring in someone who is passionate and knows what they are doing, Urlacher deserves a superbowl win, once, that man is the face of the bears, I dont want to lose Urlacher or Hester or Peppers or Forte or Olsen or the others who truley want to won. Cutler is a sour puss cry baby who quit before he should have and ruined this for us, they should of started the third stringer first. I can feel with these fans because it wasn‘t about going to the superbowl it was about kicking green bays booty on our field and our pansy of a QB didn’t try hard enough and our coach just has no idea what he was doing, I want an 85 Bear as our Coach NO MORE LOVIE and NO MORE CUTLER!!!, Mcmahon wouldn’t have quit.

      Well put.

Geez, by the tone of these people you’d think they all think Illinois is only ghetto Obama humping Chicagoans.

They act like these 4 people burned the city down. It’s just a couple videos of a couple drunks letting off steam in their own front yards, not like when the Lakers win they burn down the freaking cities.

Number two not one person commenting defending Cutler must have seen him walking the sidelines in the second half with his IPOD on during the game like we did. If my teammate was doing that I’d ring his neck personally one game from the super bowl.

This isn’t the way normal Americans behave, or is it the new normal, after all Obama his Banksters and his Chicago thugs are destroying the financial and moral fabric of society with their smug better than thou elitist attitudes, while they impose programs to lower peoples standards and have Americans turn on each other and inform on their neighbors as was done by the communists in east Berlin and Russia.
Maybe this burning of a Bears quarterback‘s jersey is the flash point and spark of a brand new attitude in the country of ’hate thy neighbor’ brought to you by the evil one Satan Obama all dressed up like a modern day Messiah according to how the left wing news organizations portray him.
So now like zombies in a slow walk of death American’s are ready to burn down their heroes the instant they fail to live up to the fantasied dreams created by the media circus dream makers, the same idiots that gave America Obama and his takeover planned Obamacare. How sad for the country. A quarterbacks life‘s in ruins because the mob didn’t have their expectations met, America is through as a country, because Americans can’t even control or handle themselves any longer. Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie.

don’t be so serious, it’s just a game and the people are just having fun blowing off steam in their own front yards. It isn’t like the NBA when the WINNERS burn down the city in LA or what have you..

And if you lived in the area you would know Jay Cutler has been snotty to the fans throughout his time here so far, he’s never performed to the standards people expect from someone being paid 22 million dollars, that‘s right 22 million dollars and get’s one game from the Super Bowl and ducks out with a ‘knee injury’ that didn’t keep him from walking the sidelines with HIS IPOD ON IN THE SECOND HALF.

Bet you didn‘t know that because they didn’t report it up in this half cocked article here.

This was 4 fans out of maybe 50 million. Furthermore blame the illegals and millions and millions of ghetto ite dems for electing Obama, not the millions of Conservatives like myself who don’t live in the city jungle.

There is Chicago for you. After a dismal start, their team makes it all the way to the NFC championship and rather than be proud of that accomplishment, they do the Pakistan Shuffle and commence to burning symbols.

Forever, folks have ignored Chicago, along with it the rest of us who live in the “other” Illinois, have ignored the plight of Illinoisans asking for help and it bit the whole country in the butt in 2008. We told you so but the elite media wouldn’t listen.. That is one good thing I hope will come out of the last several years, maybe now those of us asking for help in Illinois will be heard and help will come.

I have no doubt Cutler injured his knee. However, team doctors cleared him to play during halftime, so it most certainly wasn’t a severe ACL tear or something similar – probably just a sprain of the MCL or something. After one series in the 3rd he quit, plain and simple. Maybe the coaches pulled him, but I didn‘t see him up there in Lovie’s face, pleading to get back on the field. All I saw was Cutler sulking on the bench. He quit on his team without a fight. As a Broncos fan, I’ve seen this act before – thanks for taking him off our hands Chicago. When the going gets tough, Jay is the first one to check out.

He wasn’t limping when he went in for half time but all of a sudden he was hurt, he did have blood on his elbow but big deal. We think his problem is between the ears. Haney came in and did a great job, just too little too late, but he gave it all he had and the team responded. While we were rooting for Green Bay, I admire Haney’s courage considering how little he played during the season. As for fan response,

Ah yes, how I miss Chicago sports in the winter. We’re one big happy family…then summer comes and half the town hates the other half.

      Cutler, you just got disowned.

Don’t be too hard on Cutler, Chicago, Obama was rooting for you,
Just like he rooted for the Olympics, Jon Corzine, Martha Coakley,
      and Arlen Spector.
They all went down to defeat also.

Chicago and class in the same sentence??? Talk about an oxymoron.

It amazes me how classless some people can be…most of whom probably never boiled a mouthpiece….
