Beck Admits Olbermann Caught Him in ‘Egregious Mistake of Fact’

Before we get to the video of Glenn…full disclosure: I was in the room at the National Archives while Glenn examined George Washington’s first inaugural address. I examined it, too. Did I “hold” it? That depends on what the definition of “hold” is. Perhaps I “hold” it closer in my heart for having gazed upon it? Perhaps I “hold” it in greater esteem for having pondered the care and craftsmanship of the author and his solemn decision to accept a course that he would not have sought.

In that moment, my heart lept with gratitude. Primarily for the fact that I had jammed a pair of 1.25 reading glasses in my laptop case. I’m no Sandy Berger, but I’m going to confess here that my very eyes came within 18 inches, perhaps 12 or 14, of the esteemed document.

All of this to say that I found it beyond laughable that lib-crits pounced on Glenn Beck’s assertion that he “held” the document. I’ve read a couple of the Beck slam pieces. Full disclosure: I glanced at them briefly. Wait. Damn. I was “holding” my laptop while I read them. So indeed, I “held” these artful criticisms in my very hands.

Right now, my face is about 20 inches from my laptop screen. Yes, I’m wearing the reading glasses. I’m not leaning in close to the screen in anyway comparable to the way I leaned forward to examine the Washington inaugural. FYI — the casing of the speech provided no opportunity to Tweet or “Like” the document. So while my intense and “closer” observation of the speech provided breathtaking moments to ponder for a lifetime, indeed, I will admit that those moments can’t fully equate to the physical reality of my “holding” of the laptop which radiated the Helvetica-mockery of Beck’s claim.

I read (rapidly perused) one account (not worth a hyperlink) that asserted with some authority that Beck & Co. had only briefly entered an Archives sanctum for rapid perusal of Chelsea Handler’s bar tabs. Full disclosure: The last four words of the previous sentence were not actually the implication of the account I had perused. The actual “truth” is that our small group had more than an hour — an epic, epic hour — to examine 15 rare documents from this nation’s history. I have the notes on the Moleskin notebook I “held” at the time.

Did I “hold” or “touch” any of the documents? Ask Sandy Berger. Did Glenn? Do copious streams of dripping tears count? Just asking. I’m going to be bold here and also indict a non-Glenn member of the Beck family who began to weep while looking at Thomas Jefferson’s letter of congratulations to his country upon the execution of the Louisiana Purchase.

While I’ve watched Glenn “hold” his iPad and never been as moved as watching him read the words of Washington “held” inches from his eyes (lets not start on how what he “sees” must mean to him now), he decided to confess:

Perhaps the sagest observation falls to Mediaite’s Steve Krakauer:

Seriously though – this was the egregious lie that came out of the Restoring Honor speech, left-wing media? There has to be something better…

It really has nothing to do with Glenn saying he held the document. Their problem is they are controlled by a spirit that despises the way God was praised last weekend and that is causing them to lash out in pure hate. It is all they have. The attacks have been ramped up because the master they serve is furious in his little pit of hell and they are merely expressing his outrage. keep it up,they are crumbling before our very eyes.

The left worships Barack 0bama. To them, he is god. On the other hand, the One True God says that we should not worship anyone or anything other than Him. That is the great divide.

The sad thing is that these mockers of Mr. Beck, “8/28″, and the entire “Restoring Honor Concept” have never read “The Good Book”. Perhaps if they took some time out of their oh so busy schedule, and got to know THE ONE TRUE, AND LIVING GOD, they might come to the realization that the history of our “not too distant future” is already written.
We bare witness to this “Prophetic” time, that time when The Bible speaks of “a great falling away”, or “apostacy” even as THE LORD pours out HIS spirit over the entire world.
Those of us who have read The Bible know how the story ends, and are very thankful for the knowledge that we’re playing for the “winning team”
ON A PERSONAL NOTE, I DO BELIEVE CLINT EASTWOOD’S CHARACTER IN “PALE RIDER” IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF WHAT AN “END TIMES” PREACHER SHOULD ASPIRE TO EMULATE.

What is even harder to believe is that he actually has loyal viewers that hang on every last word. I think if this is the best “Gotcha” KO can come up with the libs are done in November.. He was wrong about the economy, (ok 99.9% correct but not all of us have a bomb shelter like his). He has been wrong about the Bush Spending (ok, he was against it but not as much as Obama’s spending, ok, Obama has spent 6 times as much as Bush, but we know it is all Bush’s fault). He is wrong about history (ok, so we were taught a liberal lie in school, they can’t be perfect and we know that the Department of Education has to approve everything). Well there you have it, just a liar.

Who were the people that delivered the Message?? Who understood the message? I find it Funny one man has an idea and people believe it is a good one. Heck, it is amazing how much time ALL of these liberals broadcasters with a fraction of Beck’s audience — spend talking about Glenn. Obviously viewer and listener rating numbers are quite accurate and Beck drives them nuts for that reason. Talk about living rent free in someone’s head. Frankly, I’ve never heard of most the lib broadcasters who Glenn is nice enough to talk about on his show. If Glenn, Rush, Hannity, Levin et al stopped talking about MSNBC, CNN etc and all of the penny-anty wannabes for a month, I’ll bet the ratings for all of the lib mouthpieces would crash through the floor. Granted, they would still be on the air but only the handful of seriously disturbed. hand-wringing socialists out there would still be listening.

Now I don’t think it was worth mentioning as it a dramatic flair, but Glenn would have called Keith on it. Or if President Obama had said something like that. Also, its not as though Glenn doesn’t do this, it’s just that Glenn picks better things to harp on. Granted the Bees and the Rats reoccur quite a bit, but one has to wonder if that’s more comedic purposes. In any case, what you’re looking at, with this fire-fight, is MSNBC clamoring for what little ratings they have left. It’s hard to tell you the sky is falling for eight years, and then all of a sudden stop, and tell you everything is fine now.. You’re right. It’s too bad that Glenn had to take time out of his already packed radio show time to explain what he said. Glenn didn’t lie or “misspeak”. As he said, he was being succinct rather than superfluous. Again as he explained, it would have been too awkward otherwise.

The fact that Olbermann used such an insignificant thing to bash Glenn for, just goes to show he and the left have no ammunition against those who stand in the “blaze” of truth.

I don’t watch Olbermann-don’t need to when I have Glenn to turn to, but from what I do know about him, he demonstrates his ignorance every moment he opens his mouth.
