For the last month, Glenn Beck has been tight-lipped about who the host of a new fifth hour of his radio show will be. Today, he announced who will be behind the mic — conservative female commentator S.E. Cupp.
The extra hour of radio will be called “S.E. Cupp” on Beck’s exclusive “Insider Extreme,” which already airs a TV-like version of his three-hour radio program and an extra hour featuring his co-hosts Pat and Stu.
Beck invited Cupp on radio this morning to make the announcement, and playful banter ensued, with Cupp dishing sarcastic jabs as Beck joked about her love of hunting and fishing. Also revealed during the segment — both Beck and Cupp are NASCAR fans:
Beck’s company, Mercury Radio Arts, announced last week that Cupp was joining the team, however it did not specify what her role would be.
Cupp’s show debuts on Tuesday, February 8 at 1 pm ET and will be available to paid subscribers at GlennBeck.com/SECupp.

Posted on January 31, 2011 at 5:31pmGlenn Beck realizes that he must do something besides laughing at his own jokes with his three clown-boy friends to improve his ratings. The main radio stations in New York have already cancelled his show; and the three stooges will never compete with a real fox.

Posted on January 31, 2011 at 8:10pmyes Philly canceled Beck too. His new book is a new age retread of all Oprah ‘s guests and book of the month winners on the Oprah show. Keith Ablow is a fake and the book misleads people into believing that we have the power within us to change things. that is the rubbish all oprah guesta like Marianne Wiilliamson “Course in Miracles” and Eckart Tolle preaches. Keith Ablow just stoles this crap from them. Beck should separates himself from this Guy and his mormonosm which is bases salvation on works.

Posted on January 31, 2011 at 7:55pmI bought a year plan been debating on if I am going to keep it….. as the 4th hour has become ESPN lite vs an extension of the Program but…..
You do get
1> The TV Version of the Show
2> Archive of the Show (which is orginally why I signed up because I can never listen or watch live)
3> Specials… These are actually fairly good, there are some good history vids and all of his “events” like 8/28, The Ohio thing etc. Everything but the Stage Shows. and the Election night coverage etc
4> The 4th Hour, which would be GREAT if they a> Reduced Moreon Trivia, that is a ok segment but not for most of the hour…. b> Limited NFL/ESPN lite to no more than 15 mins per show. If I want sports talk I have 15 ESPN’s, sportcenter and 1000′s of other sources.
5> Online Version of the “Fusion” Mag, (never read that though)
and now S.E. Cupp
So it is really up to you if it is worth it

We are also getting more blacks who are reading us. Our goal is, in part, to wake-up the Black community and to break the Dem hold on the community in time for the 2012 elections. We will need more Blacks voting for the conservatives to beat Obad then. We are trying to connect with more orgs. to get this done. Thanks

Posted on January 31, 2011 at 3:13pmThere just aren’t that many black conservatives. Many blacks are actually very religious and lean conservative on social issues (abortion, school prayer, ect…)… BUT conservatives were also against Civil Rights and federal protections against discrimination, so blacks tend to vote Democrat in the end!
As more blacks enter the middle and upper class they may begin to vote on economic issues and desire lower taxes and less regulation, but for now they are beholden to the “progressive” legacy of LBJ and Martin Luther King Jr. that favors a strong FEDERAL government that protects them and keeps them free!

Posted on January 31, 2011 at 4:12pmTHANKS .. guys!
Report Post »Pragmatica
Posted on January 31, 2011 at 4:39pmDo I really believe what? Yes, blacks are oftentimes very devout Christians and do lean conservative on social issues (abortion, school prayer, gay marriage, ect…)! BUT conservatives and Republicans oftentimes favor “states-rights“ and ”Jim Crow” separation of the races, while “Progressives” (Kennedy, LBJ, Martin Luther King Jr., ect..) fought for FEDERAL Civil Rights protections against racial discrimination. Thus, blacks align more with Democrats and “Progressives” because they are the ones that liberated them from Jim Crow and fought for their right to vote!
As for liberal policies hurting black America. I don’t disagree there. BUT keep in mind that we have had some reform and we have moved away from “War on Poverty” strategies since Reagan redefined politics in the 1980s! We now have things like “Welfare Reform” and “Welfare-to-Work“ programs and there are LESS welfare handouts and ”redistribution” in 21st Century America! Things like income tax rates are at historic LOWS right now. Obama’s upper income tax brack is some 35% LOWER than Nixon’s (70% – 35%)!!
We also need to point our attention to other causes of ghetto poverty such as “globalization” and “suburbanization” in my opinion! Stable, high-paying manufacturing jobs exited rustbelt cities (Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis, ect…) just as African Americans were gaining their freedom in the 1950s and 1960s and moving to Northern cities!
Around that same time, tons of resources exited the central cities as people flocked to the suburbs, leaving behind a geographically isolated “underclass” in America! Many of the doctors, lawyers, and middle class blacks have abandoned central city areas, and now these areas face unique challenges due to social isolation and a lack of economic opportunities!

Cupp, 2 seconds of my time…yes…based on the name, that’s right. Tell me what your name is, drop the ego problem you have, and THEN we can talk.

Posted on January 31, 2011 at 8:03pmWelcome S.E. Neat to hear you hunt & fish. Did that myself for 40 years. I could out-fish most of my family and my gun skills were right on. Never needed more than one shot, because I aimed and shot carefully. The men would bang away ruining the meat sometimes letting shot game get away. I hated seeing a hurt deer wander away & die an awful death, so I was careful and made my shot count. If couldn’t get a good shot, I didn’t shoot. We did eat the meat, better than store bought with all the hormones & other horrible drugs that are passed on to us in most store bought meats, including chicken, Ugh! I try to buy organic or products without drugs added. So welcome

Posted on January 31, 2011 at 8:42pmYou obviously have issues. Why should it matter whether a person uses their initials or not? It is a personal matter and should stay that way.
If I were in the national spotlight, the thought of using just an initial instead of a full name would be appealing so people wouldn’t know it. Many stage and movie actors use names that are not theirs.
Take a chill pill and worry over something far more important than a person who uses their initials.

I didn`t read all the comments or replies to your comment, so I apologize for any redundancy.
While there are several professional reasons for a female to use initials instead of full names, there is also the matter of security. Look in the phone book, or on mailboxes of females who you know live alone or are single parents…….there`s no need to advertise to a miscreant that you are a female alone !
Just sayin` !

Posted on February 1, 2011 at 7:15amAt long last, does Glenn’s move to hire this atheist in an attempt to build his online cash cow finally open your eyes to what Beck is really all about? Posted on February 1, 2011 at 7:25amYo Beckisnuts, you sir, are an idiot. What in the blazes is wrong with hiring an atheist as a staff member? Are you that prejudiced against anybody different from you? What is wrong with you? No reasonable person is out to worship Glenn Beck. He’s just one of the many voices of reason in the media, and the only one who happens to be any fun to listen to.

Posted on February 1, 2011 at 9:30amNoodlefish, the fact that you cannot see the hypocrisy Glenn is neck deep in here comes as no surprise. Beck has been trashing atheists for years on his fear-mongering radio show and now he hires one as a member of his broadcast team, clearly in an effort to expand his listening audience and fatten his bank account. But you can’t understand that.
I bet you can put out one hell of a “BAAAAAAAA.”

I just find it odd when somebody feels the need to copy what somebody successfully did years and years ago. It’s nothing more than a shallow charade. But, remember, it is my opinion and I do have the right to express it.

“Beck has been trashing atheists for years on his fear-mongering radio show and now he hires one as a member of his broadcast team, clearly in an effort to expand his listening audience and fatten his bank account. But you can’t understand that.”
S. E. Cupp has frequented Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld for quite some time, so we know where she stands on religion. She’s not the “surprise pick” you make hour out to be.
While she’s an atheist, she understands why someone would be motivated to pursue religion, and she understands that it promotes good toward our fellow man, in general. She sees Atheism as not excluding morality, and therefore the push by the big name Atheists to discredit religion at the expense of morality to be unnecessary and generally bad for society.
I disagree with her on her Atheism, but she understands how the world works, and she’s great to listen to. For example, when she’s doing the half-time show on Red Eye, while she’s talking I pay close attention to her legs which are hot, and she has this great smile, and I love to watch her lips when she speaks, cuz they move and they’re amazing like her legs – and she does this thing with a pencil, she’s amazing.
