Beck Arrives in Israel: Glenn Reveals Information About Surprise Trip

If you were listening to Glenn on the radio Friday morning, you may have heard him say something curious right at the end of the program. He asked listeners to pray for him over the weekend. He promised he would be praying for the listeners in return.
Now we are learning more about the motivation behind the request.
Glenn is in Israel right now.
Over the next few days we’ll be learning more and more about the reasons why.
Beck has been talking a great deal about Israel lately, particularly his concern that “Israel is being set up”:
This is not Glenn’s first trip to Israel. Shortly after 9-11, he scheduled a trip so that he could learn more about the origins of conflict in the region.
“I had done some reading but I didn’t understand until I went there,” Beck told me by phone. I talked with him a length on Friday and again on Saturday just prior to his departure.
He vividly remembers that experience a decade ago: “The Temple Mount almost pulsated. I could feel it.”
So, why this sudden trip? He’s working on a project. The decision to go this weekend was made just a few days ahead of time.
During our phone conversation, he spoke with a measured enthusiasm, indicating the project is deeply important to him and that he hoped have more information to reveal very soon.
“It’s time to get out of the studio and get involved,” Beck told me.
He spoke of the “courage and compassion” he sees in the Jewish people and his desire to amplify that message.
Beck was deeply moved by the murders of five members of the Fogel family in the West Bank town of Itamar. Two Palestinian teenagers have been arrested in the slayings. Beck has focused on the firm response of Fogel relatives: “They have refused to turn it into hate.”
Glenn has talked about the Fogels at length on radio and TV and hopes to learn more about the family during this trip.
Glenn says this trip, and the project that will unfold, is “because of my commitment to Israel and the Jewish people.”
He said that, as a “student of history,” he feels “crisis is coming” for Israel and that it is time for supporters of Israel to take stand.
Of that first trip to Jerusalem, Beck remembers thinking, “It’s the axis point of the world. Where man connected with God.” He seemed eager say more about what the next few days may reveal, but he did not give a timeline. The tone and focus, though, seemed clear: “Courage and compassion.”

I guess he figured it was time he left the “studios” of TV and maybe radio too was “up” and needed to get out and start doing these other projects. I agree that I think Israel will have to “go it” alone bc of our present anti-Israel Admin. & are indeed being “set up”. But God will be with them, as He always has & will come to their aid. Personally, think God has allowed all this to develop to force Israel not to be so dependent on anyone else — to force them to go to God – and hopefully (like it says in Romans) a significant number will finally have their “veils” removed and believe in Jesus as their Messiah & be saved in the end time scenario. Plus it’ll show the world that God has not forsaken them & exists. We’ll see………….

I have educated myself about the coming things to watch for. I am currently re-reading some of the books that were written 10 years ago, prophesying events to come, based on the bible. Today they are coming true. I suggest you read the 12 books of the “Left Behind” seies. “Jerusalem Countdown” and the 3 books in one by Pastor John Hagee called “Beginning o fthe End”, “Final Dawn Over Jerusalem” and “Day of Deception”. I submit, if you read any of all of the books mentioned, you will have direct insight as to what is going on in this world, and what is to come. You can see it unfolding now. It‘s like rewatching a movie you’ve seen before. For the Christian Church, it’s like Pastor Hagee often says, ” look up, pray up, pack up, we’re going up, in the twinkling of an eye”. Posted on May 9, 2011 at 2:11pmI agree that Israel is extremely important in End Times Prophecy. I however, do not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. I used to, because that’s what I was always taught in church. But, I have learned a lot in the last six months, and I think the best advice that anyone can give, or receive, is to pay attention, and be prepared. It would be nice to think all Believers are just going to be miraculously rescued before anything bad happens, but I don‘t believe that’s what the Bible says will happen. Some excellent teachers on this issue are Jim Staley, of Passion for Truth Ministries, and Monte Judah, of Lion and Lamb Ministries.
I will be praying for Glenn and for everyone else on this sight! We all have to keep our eyes open and pay close attention to the things God is showing us!

If one was to believe in a rapture, then they would have to discount much of Biblical prophecy. An example, which I always use here is Ezekiel 37 where there will be a reuniting and restoration of the Nation of Israel, which would include the Northern Kingdom of Israel’s Lost Tribes and the Southern Kingdom of Judah which is Modern Day Israel. We are here until the last trumpet sounds; period. God will have plenty to say to the Preachers that mislead his people.

He dwells only on the Israel that we know today and knows nothing about The United States of America‘s role or Britain’s role in prophecy. I have heard it from his own lips. He is incorrect. He is well known, well liked, a friend of Israel, but on many things he is wrong.
Israel became a state in 1948, but only the tribe of Judah returned to the Promised Land. All of Judah’s 11 brothers still have not returned to Israel to this very day. I have listed them on this website many times.

When these times end; at Revelation 4:1 is what is described as the Rapture – the snatching away of the saints. This same event is seen in 1 Corinthians 15:52 and again in 1 Thess 4:16. This is what was described in the book Left Behind. Those who remain will suffer the tribulation period. However, many shall perish because of unbelief in those times. 2 Thess 2 describes those who will perish vs. 10, 11, 12 “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” This brings the basis for this belief in the rapture and for the Pre-Trib belief. I hope this helps.

But I’ve never met a group that was so thoroughly scripture orientated, until I found my present church home. Seventh day Baptist, BTW the SDB church is the oldest contineneous church group in America, since 1650.

Shouldn’t we stand together as Christians and non-Christians alike in common goals and shared values? Rather than embracing our commonalities, we tend to criticize the differences. Most of the Christian-based religions are descent. Yes, a few may have some contemptible pieces of human debris, but MOST are populated by good and decent people. I have not seen an honor killing to date in any Christian religion. God bless the diversity of Christian religions we have in the U.S. and the freedom to express our beliefs without a government accusing us of being a political dissident and whisking the person or their family off for “re-education”.

Many are unaware that our current administration has treated some of our allies like dirt (Israel being one of them). My family and I will be hopping over there in a little over a month. Really, it‘s not a situation where you’re taking your life in your hands, as long as there aren’t any active hostilities going on. It is, after all, the most civilized country in the Middle East. One nonstop flight off the east coast, and you’re there. Hit McD’s, grab a snooze to reset the clock, and you’ve got a whole (admittedly small) country to experience. It ain’t no big thing for an American!
Lord knows the Israeli’s need the PR right now. They’re better than most anyone at taking care of themselves lately, which is just as well. I‘m looking forward to the kid’s perceptions on the trip. After all, a whole country filled with folks that are used to “taking the initiative” cannot be a bad role model for impressionable youth.
I’m not really worried about Glenn. What I’m hoping for is success in his “mission”. What he’s up to sounds interesting.

He kept wanting to know why America turned a blind eye towards the plight of the Russian people time and time again, why our reporters covered up and lied about their conditions over there, why time after time we continued to prop Stalin up when the system may have collapsed.. Knowing the obvious answer to these questions left me short on patience today. It’s almost too much to contain.

However if you would like to trace the tribe of Israel, then you had better know the meaning of the word Adam. You can get the definition from a simple Strong’s concordance – Dictionary. Adam means those who are rosy complected, those who show blood in the face (when they blush or become winded). Thats our Fathers word boys and girls, not mine. Remember Noah as picked because he was perfect in his generations to Adam (Genesis 6).
So how does this relate to the state of Israel? Well many of those in the State of Israel are of the tribe of Judah which is the brother to the other 11 tribes. Where are the other 11 tribes? Easy look around they have a mark, they meet the test of Adam (show blood in the face, rosy complected), and they must protect their brother Judah.

Beck named the worst nine people of the world, and eight of them were jews. Okay, so 89% of his worst people on his list are jewish. With me so far? According to Wiki, there are around 13.4 million jews in the world, and about 7 billion people in the world. Jews constitute 0.2% of the world’s population.
So in Glenn’s book 8 out of 9 of the worst people in the world are jews, and in the world only 2 in a thousand are jews. If you use the “test of proportions” the odds of that so many people on Beck’s list are jewish “by coincidence” is effectively zero (carried to 20 decimal points), and it is 100% likely that being jewish increases the odds of being on Beck’s list. Sorry if that’s over your head.
Also, there is the fact that Beck promotes antisemitic books. I’ll name just one: The Red Network.

Those marbles represent the world’s population. Suppose further that exactly 10 of those marble have, say, the Star of David on them representing the 0.2% of the Jewish population in the world. The other 4990 marbles are of different colors, designs are whatever.
Now suppose you pull out nine marbles from that barrel that holds 5000. What are the odds that eight of those nine marbles will have the Star of David on them by coincidence?
Answer: zero, at least out to 20 decimal points which is all the Microsoft Excel will carry. Conversely, it is, for all practical purposes, 100% likely that those marbles were chosen because they have the Star of David.

I take the number of Jews in the world and divide by the wold’s population. I say Jews are a small fraction of the population (true). Therefore I think Jews can’t rise to power (huh?). Therefore I think Jews are a lesser species (huh?). Therefore I hate Jews (huh? what?).
None of those things follow logically Okie. That series of conclusions simply don’t follow the rules of Aristotelian logic; i.e. it’s nonsense. And you know that.
Here’s a better example: I do not think you are stupid, therefore I think you’re just slinging mud to see if any sticks.

Your saying it is statistically impossible for 8 Jews to be evil out of all the whole population, right? So your stats, you, are saying it’s impossible for Jews to break the odds, right?..Your betting against the Jew, thus making you a Jew hater, or one who bets against Jews in Glenn’s choices…Glenn did not pick them because their Jewish, Glenn picked them because their evil by their actions..Does your stats account for evil, merit, etc? Nope..Just race for that’s all you see..What’s a person who only sees race……………

You say it’s because the worst people in the world really are Jewish. I say Glenn is a bigot. I say that’s why Beck recommends books written by antisemites, why he has lost all his major advertisers (maybe you haven’t heard), lost his FOX show, and why he’s denounced by Jewish groups. Okay, you win.

Posted on May 11, 2011 at 10:01pmOkie, that’s a vague, broad question. I imagine people write entire books on that subject. I assiduously avoid here and in the real world declaring my personal religious beliefs. I know that’s an unsatisfactory answer. But I will tell you what I do believe.
I believe that the teaching of Christ, as I understand them, are principles to live by, principles that serve the human race first, and individuals second (like helping the poor). I believe the teachings of Christ stand on their own (not simply “because God said so”), based on their positive effect for the entire world and for the individual who takes those teachings to heart. Christ’s words of tolerance, peace, loving your neighbor, even loving your enemy benefit each and every person on the planet. You don’t need to invoke a diety to justify and give authority that philosophy (sorrry, not giving my opinion on whether there is or is not a diety). Christ’s words, as I interpret them, stand on their own and justify themselves by emphasizing the best in human nature and promoting the best for the world.
And Okie, I don‘t think you’re a bad person (actually I imagine you are a good guy/girl with strong opinions that I disagree with!), nor do I think you’re a great person simply on the basis of your claim to be a Christian.
