Beck Blasts Obama‘s Iran Protest Response as ’Mealy-Mouthed’

On radio early Tuesday morning, Glenn Beck said it was an “outrage” that President Obama hadn’t come out in support of the protests in Iran. By late Tuesday morning, it’s almost as if Barack Obama heard that criticism. Almost.
During a press conference on his new budget, Obama finally spoke out about the anti-dictatorship protests in Iran and the fight for freedom, noting the hypocrisy of the Iranian regime for supporting protests in Egypt but simultaneously suppressing the Iranian people’s own cries for change:
But despite the president’s statement, which only came at the request of a reporter, Beck wasn’t pleased. According to him, since Obama‘s remarks weren’t addressed to the people on the streets the words were essentially meaningless and “mealy-mouthed”:

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 5:53pmtell me how is he “in contempt of court” about healthcare? sure, it will go all the way to the supreme court, but it will be upheld.but i don’t agree with Obama on the whole bill, i think if some people don’t want to do it, they shouldn’t have too.but, and this is a BIG BUT, if that person goes to a hospital or doc‘s office and they don’t have insurance and cash up front, too bad no care for you.healthcare nazi style.also,if people opt out, they have to wait a min.of 5 years before they can become eligable for any insurance.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 2:48pmYou ARE confused. Beck is not against the revolt in Egypt. He is concerend about the ultimate outcome of the revolt. As far as Iran goes, the government is a sworn enemy of the U.S. (unlike Egypt). They are already part of an Islamic state. If they did revolt it would be against the Islamic government that is an enemy of the U.S. Beck is concerend and skeptical, as most people are. If YOU aren’t, you should be.

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 2:49pmWe’re here again? Man review all the facts. Iran along with the MB were in on, orchestrating, and joining the uprising, in the first days of all that chaos El Bardadei (pro-Islamist radical and friend of Iranian Theocracy) was calling for Mubarak to immediately step down. Didn’t happen. Military’s in control and the MB fear it. Hard to say which way it would have gone. Hard to say now too. But what you fail to see and so easily dismiss is that MB and the Mullah’s were pro the efforts because they saw that as an Islamic uprising. And we have the words of the MB and the Mullah’s to prove it. Notice the difference to the Mullah’s response to the uprising there as opposed to Egypt? Come on do a little DD.

Of course he isnt supportive of them, but since he was confronted he has to say something. Look at what he did the last time they rose up it was what 10+ days and how many deaths later till he said something. He supports the uprising n Egypt as soon as it started b/c the Muslim Brotherhood is in a power play for control. He supports radicals not free thinking freedom loving people; need proof on this opinion no problem he and his ilk mock the TEA Party at every opportunity (the vids are out there for those who are in denial, they are even featured in vids I produced).

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 2:46pmSo, if all this unrest in the Middle East turns into wide spread democracy and freedom throughout. Will Bush be given credit? Will it be noted that his policy of regime change in Iraq and his backing of a democratic government in that country showed the people what they can have if they have the courage to go out and grab it? If it works out that way, Bush should be given credit. Obama knows this is the case and that‘s why he’s reluctant to speak out in support of the protestors.

It was in 2003, and Bushy expressed enthusiastic encouragement just like everybody thinks they want Obama to do. The Iranians took this as a sign that they could expect material support from the U.S., that we could help them somehow, that we wouldn’t let them be beaten and jailed and killed. So they stood up against threats from the government. But we couldn’t do anything to help them, and they got beaten, and they got jailed, and they got killed. That’s why Obama is trying to be a little bit more careful about what he says and not shoot his mouth off like Bushy did.
