Beck Calls Out Ed Schultz’s Hypocrisy

During his Wednesday broadcast of The ED Show, MSNBC’s Ed Schultz asked of conservatives: “where is the decency?” Strange, coming from the person who recently called conservative commentator Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.”

In his quest to find the love, Schultz devoted the evening to “Race and the Right Wing,” in which he accused conservative television and radio hosts, including Neal Boortz and Glenn Beck, of advocating racism and inciting violence against “Blacks and Latinos” — even President Obama.

HuffingtonPost reported:

“There’s something very ugly and dangerous going on in this country,” Schultz said. “Right wing talk show hosts seem to be amping up racist and reckless rhetoric like never before … the level of racist and violent rhetoric on hard-right wing radio today is off the charts.”

Schultz also accused Glenn Beck of promoting violence for saying earlier this week, “Why would you get a gun? To prepare for tough times, that’s why,” while pointing at a picture of President Obama.

Glenn Beck went on to address Schultz’s hypocrisy during his radio program Thursday, and explained why he feels there is no honor left in the media. He also explained how he was in no way advocating violence against Obama, but rather a camera angle is to blame for the confusion.

      Funny you should ask that.

      A few weeks ago the Blaze ran an article on a drunk illegal alien hitting a police officer and killing him, I believe it happened in Houston.
      The hate from the Christian loving Blazers was alive and well that day.
      That same week, a police officer of over 25 years in San Antonio was gunned down in his car at a stop light while on duty.
      Authorities said Kenneth Vann, 48, was stopped at a red light on the East Side when someone ambushed him — an attack so sudden he was unable to reach for his weapon or call for help.
      They caught the SOB that gunned him down, he was an American.
      Both were senseless deaths, but Kenneth Van’s made national news, but not on the Blaze.

      I know why the Blaze didn’t publish the Kenneth Van story.
      It didn’t incite hate from the Right.
      It‘s almost as if the Blaze is saying it’s okay if an American kills a cop, but if an illegal alien kills a cop we’re going to publish that story on our website because that is not okay.
      Sounds silly and stupid I know. But it’s true.

      2 reason, One year.
      If an illegal had gunned down Sgt Vann it would of been all over Fox News and the Blaze, and the local news reported that the gunman was a Mexican American.

      Wasn’t it a couple of years ago when a Arizona farmer (I believe his name was Krentz ) was gunned down on his farm?
      No witnesses and police still haven’t found who killed him, but it was believed to be an illegal.
      O’reilly, Hannity and even Beck reported on this story for about a week.
      Well if it incites anger and hate of the Right, it’s new on the Fox network and The Blaze.

    Personally I feel it is about time that we have an honest conversation in this country about the thugs and about where the thugs reside. Until we can have an honest conversation and recognize that a great portion of the black youth in this country are indeed influenced by gangs and rap music and are causing most of the urban problem. But if you try to have that conversation you are immediately labeled a racist. I am sure that my previous comment will more than likely be perceived as racist. How about we forget about the BS and call it like it is for once. I wonder if Ed Schultz would feel comfortable walking around two o’clock in the morning in downtown Chicago, downtown New Orleans, or even downtown Washington DC. If he says he’s not comfortable doing that is he racist. As far as having a gun, a permit, and the training in how to use again correctly I believe they are right own time. We are looking at some very volatile traveling times ahead and if you feel that you would be better protected with a gun thing go for it. If you think that you can take on a gang of 15 to 20 violent youth with a baseball bat good luck. We have done a great disservice to the black youth in this country by giving them a pass for the last 50 years by allowing them to get away with anything by just saying the word racist.     Boy the Left would really like to make every single disagreement we have with this administration a racist issue. I was actually kind of intrigued that we had what I thought was a viable black candidate for president. Then I actually started researching him and what he believed in, how he voted (mostly just present), and finally what he said and did on the campaign trail. The last straw was when he told Joe the Plumber that he wanted to take money from him to make sure that the little guy had a chance. Why that wasn’t enough to make everyone who heard it wretch I have no idea, it wasn‘t very widely played on the MSM so I guess that is why a lot of people still voted for him or they just didn’t care. As for Sgt Schultz I don’t really listen to anything this idiot says, he is such a moron that you can actually feel yourself getting dumber while listening to him.

      Ed Schultz is correct on this one. Beck is always, always encouragin­g his flock to violence, taking up arms against the his imagined enemies, always directing attention to the president. Schultz has never done that. Beck got fired because his ratings were tanking and he’s too extreme even for Ailes.

I also watched Glenn‘s program and if he wanted to point at O’Blahblah, he would have done so. He clearly pointed at the chalk board from which he had been commenting on his notes.       AKMIIKEUS – you really are a clueless liberal. “Mormon” is a slang used by non church members. The name of the church is the Chruch of JESUS CHRIST. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. That’s the entire point of the book.

      Next, saying that someone encouraging people to get guns is fearmongering would be like accusing someone that encourages their child to wear a seat belt or get car insurance is a fear-monger. Having a gun on your person isn’t about aggression, it’s about defense. The first option is always evade but if you don’t have a way to get out of a bad situation, it’s better to have and use a weapon than become a bullet sponge. EVEN IF HE DID POINT AT OBAMA, he was only talking about the guy that is making up the policies. He never said USE the gun offensively to attack the president. He was saying prepare for things that happen all the time like Katrina, Watts, etc. where having a firearm available to protect yourself and your family could be the difference between having a pulse at the end of the day and not. I carry 2 Glocks most of the time and I use them every day just like I use my car insurance every single day: when I drive my car, I’m protected from risk. When I carry a weapon, I’m protected because of my training in the use of that firearm.

      middleclassprophet, you are either completely unable to comprehend language or you’re just a liberal hack. Beck ALWAYS encourages non-violence. Nearly every show he states that we should use non-violent means in all situations first. However, if you’re attacked, you’d better have something to defend yourself. Unless you’re Chuck Norris and have the time to devote a good portion of your life to hand to hand combat, a gun is the best way to ensure you can propagate your genes into the pool. Then again, you’re right. Guns are bad. You should never carry one. These aren‘t the droids you’re looking for.

      At least in this way, Darwin was right. We need more libs to self-select, bury their heads in the sand and not prepare for things that happen all the time even if the banks don’t go bust, the dollar looses all value, the debt burden collapses the country, all these relativley likely things mandate those who want to continue their journey on this Earth to at least take the basic protective actions like food storage and weapons training/purchase.

      I wish more people carry weapons. I didin’t start until Rep Giffords was shot. Even though she was a democrat, I would do intervened had I been there. We need more citizens trained, armed and willing to help. In Ohio, one police unit covers 700 sq miles. That’s going to get worse with budget problems what they are. PREPARE and then stop worrying; hope for the best.

      Most of us already have guns… he’s just asking those that are behind and trying to catch up to prepare for the coming anarchy. I would suggest that people make sure they have ample ammo and have spent the time needed at the range. A gun is horrible if you shoot someone who doesn’t deserve to die. Practice is everything… or we’re no better than those who do the drive-bys.

      Actually, I watch Beck quite a bit and I’ve never seen him advocate violence of any kind. In fact, he has on more than one occasion stated that people shouldn’t use violence.       Funny, no video here of what Ed was talking about (I’m not Ed fan by the way). Beck asks, “Why would you need a gun?” As he finishes asking the question, a picture of Obama appears on a screen. Glen immediatly turns to it, and points at Obama.

      No video here of Glenn because is OBVIOUS that that he does exactly what he’s accused of doing. There’s no question. The “camera angle” bologna on a highly scripted show like this doesn’t wash. Nor, if you could watch the video, is there any doubt.

      Is there anything more childish than talk show hosts fighting from the comfort of their TV shows. Geez and either one of them should worry why they are loosing viewers and find it difficult to get decent sponsors. Honor in the media was lost when it became biased in its selection, presentation and presentation of the news. When corporations took over the media and decided, based on marketing studies, that ideology sold much better than the facts or actually informing the public. We are all worse off for accepting and many times promoting such misinformation. That fact that many of them have gotten wealthy spewing out such nonsense is not a good testimony for capitalism.

      Do you live in a gopher hole ?? Obviously you don’t watch his show.. I watch
      different networks, I am not stuck on one pituclar news channel..I switch around
      quite a lot. Not a fan of O’Reilly or Hannity but you can get some of your news
      on Fox without your Blood Pressure going through the roof.. But you cant say
      that about MSNBC, these are some angry people, I’d venture to say they have
      a Cardiologist on site for the OhDonal and Shultz shows, no news there just
      anger and hate, the others are just , I don’t know, tried but cant watch !!

I don’t know how to respond to people like you, who like to say the President of the United States is “violating the Constitution” and yet cannot give a single example of how the President is violating the Constitution, referencing the act of the President and part of the Constitution that act violates. You can‘t give me an example of a single freedom you’ve lost either can you? Not one. You are parroting the party line with a single rational thought of your own.

      I’d suggest you not start excersing your “Second Amendment rights” until you bring some clarity in your mind about exactly what freedoms you’ve lost. Otherwise you’re just a crazy person with a gun who gets excited at thought of knocking a few people off for your empty, paranoid cause.

      @ jzs Article 1 section 8- the war powers where it says the congress has to declare war to enter into any conflict, stating the congress’s power to declare war,raise and support armies. The president’s role is to lead the forces if war is declared. He violated that pretty clearly by going to war in libya in any kind of capacity

      Now, article 1 section 9 – “No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”
      He violated article 1 section 9 when he took the office of chairman of the security council at the United Nations for the month of september in his first year in office.

      Libertarian Atheist, not saying I disagree with you, but the US hasn’t “declared war” since WWII. And we’ve been in lots of wars since (Korea, Vietnam, to name two).

      We need to Ed, he’s great to point and laugh at. Ed do your homwork guns save lives, any thug killed by return fire clearly would be defined a thug that Neal would like the citizens to arm themselves for. Neal should go through the police blotter and just select a few or may we should ignore Ed on this point.
      Last time I checked pointing usually ment 1 finger not an open palm, sorry Ed we are laughing at you … again.
