Beck: Facebook’s Failure May Be Part of Government Plan to Control Internet

Was Facebook systematically overvalued in order to force it into a government bailout?

That’s the hypothesis that Glenn Beck offered on GBTV tonight, and like many of Beck’s hypotheses, you might be surprised at the evidence that exists for it. In a nearly 20 minute segment, Beck meticulously and carefully picked his way through the past record of the company that handled the IPO for Facebook – Morgan Stanley – and pointed out that they don’t exactly have a record of success in helping companies go public.

“Morgan Stanley was the lead consultant on Fannie and Freddie bailouts,” Beck said in the segment. “They also set the IPO for General Motor. Whoa.”

The evidence from that point continued to mount, all to support Beck’s contention that the administration wanted Facebook to fail. Why? So that it could be brought into the orbit of the government as one of many formerly powerful companies that had to take money in exchange for loyalty. Beck suggested that the reason the government would want this is because control over Facebook via public money would enable them to have huge amounts of control over the internet, which they would then use to stifle dissent.

      As part of the takeover, all closed accounts will be reactivated with full public view. You may want to close the account six months before the bailout — it takes that long for permanent account closure.

      public, made them use his bank, then made the bank
      set an unrealistic IPO ( which people paid), so the government
      can take them over. A lot of people made tons of money
      and a lot of people lost money. Isn’t that what
      capitalism is about? Obama will mess with Facebook yet
      leave Glenn n Mercury alone? Mercury made 80 million
      last year from what I read. Glenn, been listening since

      P.S. I deleted my FB account months ago. Not only due to the privacy issues but the fact that I got tired of hearing the idiotic posts.
      The middle east used FB for overthrowing their regimes, meanwhile we use facebook to mention our dogs bowel movements.

      Yes, Glenn‘s ’paranoia’ – like when he predicted the middle east wars and the caliphate. His promotion of gold when it was $900 per ounce. All paranoia (at the time) and all bore out true. I am skeptical on this one – what could justify the bailout? But I cannot argue with his track record.

      Like the failed track record of the left – From Woodrow Wilson to FDR to LBJ to Carter. History has shown over and over that cutting taxes and cutting spending will grow the economy, yet the left continues to try the opposite, and when it fails they find every and any excuse for their failures. Their programs always grow into unsustainable MONSTERS that will bankrupt us…

      The Facebook issue is the zuckerburg explicitly wanted no advertising on the site to begin with. This was terrific for building traffic but then the platform was never designed to allow brands to engage consumers – that remained an afterthought and an area for the brands to figure out themselves. The weak ad revenues relative to Facebook reach are therefore becoming a concern and value destroyer.

      I am involved with a new startup called ikonverse.com which is taking a very different approach to social media by designing a platform where consumers can engage in substantive conversations amongst themselves. The brand platform will also thus allow consumers to connect with the brands and participate in more substantive brand to consumer conversations and consumer to consumer conversations about the brand. This will fit better with the needs of the net worth > 0 consumer that wants control over his conversations, audiences and identities. All my family and friends are on it and I wanted to get out but they want me to stay so I can see their pictures and be part of their lives. That part is okay, but the insecurity of your personal information and life and inability to be anonymous unlike blogs, doesn’t apeal to me. I would never pay for this service and a lot of others don’t either. I pay no attention to the advertising, so they are stupid for spending money to post their ads there. Okay, I feel better.

    Something doesn‘t seem right with this ’failure’ but I was thinking along different lines…that maybe Mr. Z. has outlived his usefullness and like all good ‘useful idiots’ it is now time for the administration to “zucker punch” him to get him out of the way. The idea of planned failure resulting in gov bailout/buyout of Facebook is really interesting considering all of the information all of us post on it. Combine that with the HHS super computer medical/biographical information and talk about total information (and control) over everyone. Knowing what I do know about the ‘research’ component and possibilities with that super computer really raises some interesting possibilities. And just think…with blood samples being collected on ALL baby boomers (for your safety, don’t ya know — you might have hepatitis C) and subsequent DNA sequencing immediately populating that data bank that HHS has…….hmmmm… Very interesting indeed.

      When are you going to realize that even if YOU are awake, you‘ve already been boxed in and all you’re doing is railing against the inevitable?

      I highly suggest you find a ENG translation of Sun Tzu’s Art Of War and bone up on it — big time. For all the noise you’ve made, you still allowed yourself to be outmaneuvered and trapped on indefensible terrain. We have no solution for victory at this time, simply because the oplan went in the wrong direction (see below).

      LIBERTARIANS TAKE NOTE: Attempting to win the presidency by way of a single top-level attempt won’t work. There is no cohesive ground-level support, which is the only way to get someone in office. If you want a Libertarian or a Constitutionalist in office, you’ll need to build the brand recognition from the local level up. Hijacking the Republicans is not going to get the job done, you’ll disenfranchise a goodly portion of the R base and achieve no result.

      If you want the inevitable victory, build a proper local->state->national->presidential presence in that order. You’re not going to achieve the result you want in any other fashion. Look at the multiple party structures in Britain for an example, they have it done (mostly) right.

      I agree mostly with your platform, but the overarching strategy has nuked your operating concept. A war is never won in a single stroke by one man. I respectfully suggest you take this lesson to heart.

      The facebook owner who moved to China although an American citizen from birth was raised in Brazil and met the other Facebook people at Harvard. He is not some guy from Ohio who suddenly is turning his back on the US but rather more of a citizen of the world all his life. He has been living in Singapore for years.

    Well, the only thing I‘m pretty sure of is that it was another orchestrated event to benefit Obama’s regime and further their ambitions for their future goal of a Communist/Marxist nation. Doing everything they can to be “set to go”. Also be prepared and not surprised if they get so desperate as to stage as much chaos, crisis event that they will declare martial law and suspend the elections. Their old stratigies aren‘t working this time and I’m sure they don’t intend to lose all this momentum and power to losing the election. Probably getting int’l help from fellow like-minded evil people, including the Muslim Brotherhood. Something has got to give in the very near future in this “window” of opportunity.

    If you use Firefox browser there is a plugin called Ghostery use it and you will find those like buttons are there for a reason and they are not harmless.

      It doesn‘t make sense because they argument isn’t logical. Beck combines an ad hominem and a slippery slope, two fallacies of logic here to emphasize his point. You can’t build an argument on a fallacy, it’s basic stuff.

      1 ) not logical???? please explain

      2) what ad hominem? please explain

      3) what slippery slope ?

      4) what fallacy?

      Yea, like the fact that I couldn’t refuse time line? I had no choice. And every time they “update” I have no choice. And the fact that all my ads were about knitting and crafts and epilepsy until I posted about my husband’s broken leg update and suddenly all my ads were about needing surgery? I just dropped my account this morning.

    It’s all very suspect. Taking down the banks, investors, wealthy white people, the “man”. Zucker’s ethics are questionable at best. And he’s a Harvard guy. He was able to get his billion plus. Oh…and let’s not forget he is a pal of Zero.

    I heard Becks theory on this and he does have an excellent point that fits with everything we are seeing. I find it hard to believe that with stakes as high as they were with an IPO for FB, that folks could get duped. Unless of course, something else is afoot here. Becks right as usual! That Beckster, ya just can’t keep him down.

    The more Obama has empty Houses to speak to, has prisoners getting more or as many votes, the more our Freedom is threatened. I believe he’s trying to wait until he gets re-elected (as he whispered to the Russian) but now that he’s getting the idea that may not happen, expect him to go berserk. I fully expect to see his eyes roll around and smoke to come flying out of his nose. What he’s done to America is Criminal. We must encourage the good House of R’s who stand up to that dope in the WH. We must support those who are running to REPLACE the weak-kneed ones who forgot they are there to protect America and our Constitution.

      BHO is a very dangerous man, he has created a loyal following of absolute zealots who will go the mile or two until they realize they’ve been duped and its too late to turn around…so they must thrust FORWARD to win at all costs or its their heads too!

      We are living in perilous times indeed. I do not predict this president leaving office no matter how bad it looks for him. Expect the perfect false flag event or launch of the War against Iran. This will cause real chaos around the world and heaven help us then.

      I fully expect Hollywood to produce that BinLaden Movie; Soros to cause a run on the banks again; the Saudis to lower oil to butkus; Mooshelle to develop some life-threatening disease (for the sympathy vote)… He is already lying his head off. Did you hear him today?? “He’s spent less than any President since Eisenhower” ? But we can’t ignore his PRIVATE ARMY, already trained, The infiltration of muslims who think they can control the world, the rich set who want a piece of everything. We are in one hell of a mess, but there are 75% of us and 21% of them plus the MSM…everyone needs to kick in…everyone needs to get on board or this will be our Last free Election. Like Reagan said: IF America Falls, where to people of this earth go for Freedom (paraphrased) .

      I‘m sure you’re paid to try to make us believe that. Good luck. No Cigar. (900M participants is larger than a mole). When one has the 99% accuracy track rate that Beck has, we need to at least consider seriously what he’s saying. He has his finger on the pulse and he can connect the dots as can the EXCELLENT, talented and intelligent folks he surrounds himself with. Probably the best group in all of communications.
