Beck Interviews Dad Who’s Teaching Kids the Skills of Entrepreneurship Through…Lemonade

Glenn Beck and his team at GBTV finally launched their national lemonade stand and bake sale day — an event that celebrated entrepreneurship and the spirit of American giving all at the same time. The turnout was immense, comprising people of all walks, who sought to be part of a community-wide push against big government regulation. Below, Beck talks about the driving forces behind the event, and explained why he hopes Americans will continue to set up lemonade stands long after the day is done:

Below, Beck interviews Michael Holthouse, founder of a non-profit dubbed “Lemonade Day,” and his daughter. Their organization teaches children the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, and how, through the American Dream, can become anything they want to be — and in today‘s day and age where a college education doesn’t guarantee anyone a job, this may be the most valuable skill one needs to learn. Watch below:

Glen Beck: In February 2012 the Obama administration gave seven (7) Alaska Islands to Russia for free. If this is true, why hasn’t been reported.

My 14 year old has his first job.
Mowing lawns, does the neighboors and does a commerical place.
He makes $125 every two weeks.
He buys his own gas for the mower and the trimmer.
Takes him about 4 hours of work to do two lawns and the Comm.
He puts $50 aside in a savings account and spends the rest on whatever he wants to.
He is learning running his own business is hard at times when it is hot outside and he has to go and mow when his friends are playing.
He has his foot in the door and he is learning all about running a business.
The next step is teach him about hiring someone else to do the work and pay them $60 dollars and he pockets $65 without having to lift a finger.
Then going out and getting more lawns to mow and putting more people to work, they make money and he makes money being the boss.
    Thus begins a new business.

I don’t have the stomach to actually watch FAKE-conservative/libertarian Beck’s “interview,” but I’ll wager the free-market-DESTROYING TARP/Bailout – that Beck and Beck-SUPPORTED leftist Romney supported… didn’t make it into the interview.

These are all Feel Goodism stories and that is all they are. The facts are the Democrats destroyed the poor by the nanny state. But far worse than that was what the lying Republicans did to the middle class. They outsourced all of the good paying jobs because supposedly people wouldn’t do them. (NAFTA…etc…) All lies, and very evil and greedy.

I listened to Hannity yesterday for 20 minutes blasting the President and he so deserves it. But the facts are these trade agreements ruined the middle class and you have these talking heads saying nothing about the pure evil and burden this has put on our county.

By default I will have to vote for “the chosen one” only because he is not quite as evil as Obama but none the less very evil policies and more lies.

@ SMITH…you go SMITTY. I noticed anything that they are clueless on that all the BeckBots shy away from because they don’t have a leg to stand on.

For that matter they are clueless on everything unless BeckMistroo conducts them with their talking points.

BTW again the Republicans are praising service (lemonade and cookies) jobs like they are going to do something to pay down the debt.Thats all the Republicans have is service jobs since they sent all the middle class jobs (manufacturing) overseas and also with their unfair trade policies like NAFTA.

At least the Democrats will tell you strait up that they are creating the nanny state.

The Republicans lie and cheat about what they are going to do. The wars, NAFTA, abortion, etc…etc….

Bushie 2 ran on the fact that he was against abortion when he owned Congress and the House his first two years. Bushie could have signed an executive order to rid us of abortion or at the least not to be tax payer funded.

Never fear “the chosen one” is on the way.

      Enjoy the Olympics.

Maybe Romney will tune in and see that real business and good entrepreneurs dont need government bailouts like Bain did.

You fail to mention that during that decade CHINA started taking over the steel industry and it was fading rapidly due to UNION DEMANDS and unreasonable pension costs. China and federal government regulations shut down more steel mills than any investment company and UNIONS allowed it! “The federal government insurance agency had to pony up $44 million to bail out the company’s underfunded pension plan.” That’s becasue the FEDERAL government GUARANTEES these union pensions. WHY?

      @equal

Its still a bailout and Bain made like 10 to 12 million dollars off the deal. I am not saying that Romney did anything wrong. He used the system to make money, but its false to say he is a Mr Capitalism also when more than one time he was bailed out by the government. When you buy a company you buy its debt also, this was particular steel mill, cost us because who does the government get their money from?
