The problems facing Israel today are great and they are many. During his show Friday night, Glenn Beck and his expert panel discussed what options the Jewish nation still has, particularly in dealing with the radical Islamic Iranian regime, seemingly hellbent on wiping Israel off the face of the map.
Lieutenant Gen. William G. Boykin told Beck that the time for Israel to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities is now.
“I would strike, and I would strike now,” Boykin said. “I would strike before the election, he will have U.S. support and he will have support from Obama.” However, he added that if Obama is reelected, he would be less inclined to stand by Israel if they attacked Iran.

January 2011:
When Meir Dagan steps down as director of Israel’s Mossad spy agency, he says that Iran would not be able to produce a nuclear weapon until 2015.
“Israel should not hasten to attack Iran, doing so only when the sword is upon its neck,” Mr. Dagan warned.
Later he said that attacking Iran would be “a stupid idea…. The regional challenge that Israel would face would be impossible.”
All these holeyer then thou war mongering Christian and Jewish extremists, are no better than the Muslim extremists.
But hey, if religion is no good for making war – what is it good for?

Posted on August 25, 2012 at 9:17pmYour asking that Israel follow the advice of a man whose information was from over a year and a half ago? Why didn’t you cite a statement from the last couple of months? Couldn’t find one that said what you wanted? No country is stupid enough to follow such advice.
You‘ll also notice that Israel didn’t attack Iran at all in 2011, thereby following the precise advice they were given then even though Netanyahu was Prime Minister. Maybe that advice was good in January 2011. I personally didn’t expect Israel to do anything last year outside of a few covert operations which seem to have taken place. It wasn’t until spring of 2012 that I felt an Israeli strike was less than a year away.

Posted on August 26, 2012 at 4:10amImminent Iran nuclear threat? Yes, starting back in the 1970ies a
Late 1970s: US receives intelligence that the Shah had “set up a clandestine nuclear weapons development program.”
1979: Shah ousted in the Iranian revolution, ushering in the Islamic Republic. After the overthrow of the Shah, the US stopped supplying highly enriched uranium (HEU) to Iran. The revolutionary government guided by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini condemned nuclear weapons and energy, and for a time stopped all projects.
1984: Soon after West German engineers visit the unfinished Bushehr nuclear reactor, Jane‘s Defence Weekly quotes West German intelligence sources saying that Iran’s production of a bomb “is entering its final stages.” US Senator Alan Cranston claims Iran is seven years away from making a weapon.
Though Israel had secretly done business with the Islamic Republic after the 1979 revolution, seeking to cultivate a Persian wedge against its local Arab enemies, the early 1990s saw a concerted effort by Tel Aviv to portray Iran as a new and existential threat.
1992: Israeli parliamentarian Benjamin Netanyahu tells his colleagues that Iran is 3 to 5 years from being able to produce a nuclear weapon – and that the threat had to be “uprooted by an international front headed by the US.”

Similar predictions received airtime, including one from then-CIA chief Robert Gates that Iran’s nuclear program could be a “serious problem” in five years or less.
1995: The New York Times conveys the fears of senior US and Israeli officials that “Iran is much closer to producing nuclear weapons than previously thought” – about five years away – and that Iran’s nuclear bomb is “at the top of the list” of dangers in the coming decade. The report speaks of an “acceleration of the Iranian nuclear program,“ claims that Iran ”began an intensive campaign to develop and acquire nuclear weapons” in 1987, and says Iran was “believed” to have recruited scientists from the former Soviet Union and Pakistan to advise them.
1998: The same week, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld reports to Congress that Iran could build an intercontinental ballistic missile – one that could hit the US – within five years.
2004: Then-Secretary of State Colin Powell tells reporters that Iran had been working on technology to fit a nuclear warhead onto a missile. “We are talking about information that says they not only have the missiles but information that suggests they are working hard about how to put the two together,” he said.

June 2008: Then-US Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton predicts that Israel will attack Iran before January 2009, taking advantage of a window before the next US president came to office.
Dagan was the Director-General of Mossad from 2002 till 2011.
Following his departure, Dagan made several controversial public statements concerning the prudence of an Israeli military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilties.
After Dagan voiced criticism of the prime minister, he was asked to return his diplomatic passport before its expiration date.

Posted on August 25, 2012 at 3:24pmLoyd Drako. I think you are missing a very important aspect of the Muslim mind. A good way to get along with an Arab( yes I know Iranian are not Arab) is to be the stronger more dominate, and ready, willing and able to throw down and kick as*. If Israel wipes Iran from the face of the earth Arab nations will crawl of their bellies to make peace with Israel. You can never trust that they will give you and even break. In one of W.C. Fields movies he says.” Never enlighten a sap, never give a sucker an even break, count your change before leaving the window.” There I think that sums up the Arab attitude toward each other and especially for Jews and Christians.

Posted on August 25, 2012 at 6:31pmIsrael does not have the physical capability to “wipe Iran off the face of the earth.” You are talking about a country of 50 million people and nearly a million square miles. The Arab world, and the broader Muslim world, would not be cowed by such an Israeli atrocity, it would be enraged, and rightly so. A limited strike to set back Iranian nuclear development, yes, a war of annihilation, no. Even Netenyahu is not considering that, only some of his more extreme American enablers.

They knew that the Muslim Brotherhood would take over and undermine the treaty between Egypt and Israel. While claiming that the movement for “democracy” was up to the Egyptian people and outside interests should not interfere the POTUS and the SOSUS were making speeches that, “Mubarak must go !”. If Israel goes before the election the US response will be lukewarm at best, giving the appearance of support to Israel only if it helps their re-election. If they go after the election with a Democrat win they can’t count on any help If Romney wins they may be forced to help to save face. More from the propagandist. Time to use some truth to clear up your talking points that don’t even cite a single fact.
Jordan, the country that has the largest Palestinian population in the world and to which they are the indigenous population, is ruled by an autocratic totalitarian ruler of Arabian descent. One of these rulers, King Hussein, slaughtered Palestinians living in his own country in a massacre known as Black September. During this month long atrocity, which not a single Arab leader, including Arafat himself, ever condemned or acknowledged, more Palestinians were murdered than have died at Israeli hands in over 70 years of conflict.
Either Israel is the worst oppressor in the history of the world or Israel is actively trying not to be the oppressor. To draw any other conclusion one must ignore the facts and use rhetoric to make their point. The Jerk is an expert on both counts seeing as I myself have pointed these facts out to him in the past. Just look at his post: pure rhetoric that doesn’t so much as mention a single event to fit its narrative.

Just like if one lived in Ohio is an Ohioan but where did they originate from? The Kenites, the decendants of Cain lived among the Israelites in Jerusalem for protection. They became scribes etc. So does that explain why so many of the Jewish faith enjoy the same mind set of Obama? The groups that do not honor the living God as their Master have all come together to honor their father who is of the world. Therefore the living God calls them fatherless because He created all souls. The Kenites, offspring of Cain live among us and continue to reject God. The Lord will return AFTER the false christ or impersonator of Christ is here 5 months. The false one(play actor) will look like the Lamb but will deceive and have the voice of the dragon. Posted on August 25, 2012 at 2:04amPM Netanyahu is nuts if he attacks Iran in October in order to take advantage of President Obama’s vulnerability running for re-election. A strike against Iran during the presidential election would be calculated to force American support for a war with Iran.
By taking this action, the Israelis run the risk of being overwhelmed in a conflict on four fronts, that include a rain of missiles from Hezbollah as well as from Syria. Moreover, Assad’s adversaries could turn from civil war in Syria to attack a common enemy. According to sources in Israel, Egypt has established antiaircraft missile batteries in the Sinai; terrorists do not posses fighter-bombers. Egypt has also deployed tanks on the Sinai border ostensibly to intimidate Islamists who have proliferated in the the desert.
As long as Syria remains in turmoil, Netanyahu should wait and avoid a possible military confrontation his forces can not contain. There is a difference between a calculated risk and a gamble. A calculated risk, like the D-Day invasion, allows a military force to recover. A gamble on the other hand, like Custer’s attempt to wipe out the Indian encampment on the Little Big Horn, can end in irretrievable disaster.

Posted on August 25, 2012 at 11:40amWhether they are 30 days or 30 years away from having a deliverable nuclear weapon, the point is what they will do with it once they have it.
My hunch? Nothing.
By my count, 9 countries have nuclear weapons: the US, Russia, China, Britain; France, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea. Only the US, has actually used them, and that was in a war already in progress.
Countries do not develop nuclear weapons for use but for display. If Iran gets them, it will keep them close to its chest and use them for bargaining advantage, the apocalyptic rhetoric of certain Iranian leaders notwithstanding.
They would dearly love to see Israel destroyed, but have never threatened explicitly that they themselves will do the destroying.
They are counting on surrogates such as Hezbollah, but since they do not totally control them, they aren’t likely to trust them with nukes. An Israeli preemptive strike would delay Iranian nuclear plans, but at the cost of provoking renewed assaults against Israel from groups occupying parts of its near neighbors, not Iran.
Within Israel tself, there is by no means unanimity that such a strike is necessary. It’s not 1967, when the threat was imminent and obvious.
