Beck: Real Story of Protester’s Seizure Points to Revelation This Thursday

Scroll down for the video:

Last Friday an Occupy demonstrator had what appeared to be a seizure while protesting Glenn Beck’s book signing in Fairhope, Alabama. The other Occupiers mainly stood and watched while the man lay convulsing.

WKRG described the scene:

For about 15 minutes the shouting was heated until one of the protestors fell and began shaking uncontrollably.  Police officers and other protesters surrounded the young man until an ambulance arrived.  This appeared to take the wind out of everyone’s sails and the protest stopped on a serious note.   The book signing continued without the loud chanting that preceded it.

But before the police showed up, someone can be seen in the video The Blaze originally posted, helping the seizing man — but who?

You might guess one of his Occupy compatriots, but you’d be wrong.

No. The man seen helping the stricken Occupy protester was actually part of Glenn’s team.

“What did you people do to him?” shouted one of the other Occupiers to the Samaritan as he helped the ailing man. “What kind of Nazi trick did you play on him?”

But not everyone reacted in such a hostile manner. While some Occupiers looked to fight the act of humanity and decency extended by members of Glenn’s camp, other demonstrators appreciated the care and concern shown to their ringleader.

In the following sneak preview of Glenn’s upcoming Thursday broadcast, he relays what unfolded next as, after his book signing, he and members of his team were thanked by none other than the co-chair of the day’s anti-Glenn Beck protest.

After showing Glenn a pamphlet the group had been circulating about him, Glenn told the woman that he believes in her right to free speech and then wished her a Merry Christmas.

“Merry Christmas to you,” she replied.

At the end of the day, according to Glenn, what matters is that while nothing was solved in the way of politics, they were “human to one another.”

“We must treat even our enemies with love and respect, dignity and grace,” Glenn added poignantly.

Catch a sneak-peek of the upcoming Glenn Beck Program on GBTV below and be sure to tune in for the full episode Thursday at 5:00 ET:

      @Libertarian,

I, too, cancelled my subscription. While I agree that this is a kind act (especially by Glenn‘s ’team member’), I cannot get over the fact that Glenn adhered to the media blackout concerning NDAA. That coupled with his contempt for Ron Paul gives me a gut feeling that his pipe music, while leading in the opposite direction than the left, will end up meeting at the same place on the other side of the hill.

Incorrect observation on both counts. After referring to the OWS group as communists, rapists, thieves, drugees on his radio show and on the blaze, GB now wants to imply goodwill by saying Merry Christmas to someone who confronts him. How about debating an educated, well spoken member of OWS. Or like when Ann Coulter got trashed in a debate by Al Franken, does GB avoid a real discussion of the issues. One beyond the cheap name calling.

Loving your enemy does not mean supporting evil actions, it does not mean that you help them or empower them to do wrong, it doesn’t mean that you condone them hurting you or your family either. What it DOES mean is, If your enemy is thirsty – give them something to drink, if they are hungry – feed them, if they are hurting – console them, if they are having an epileptic seizure – help them if you can. BE HUMAN – don’t go over the cliff with them in meeting their bad behavior with bad behavior of your own – it means do the right thing by them. Do unto them as you would want someone to do unto you. I find it so interesting and encouraging that an example of how we are to be comes at such a time. providence? coincidence? that’s for you to determine on your own. The point is – be the best person you can be to ALL mankind.

One of Mr. Beck’s tactics is to cultivate detractors. He can then call them enemies. This allows him, and all his keys, to become victims. The mythology of the Beckian universe has
Mr. Beck constantly under attack. This creates a solidarity in his followers. When enough group cohesion is created Mr. Beck can then use double-speak like he does in this article to convince you that his hateful actions are actually good.

Psychologically, words from detractors like me only strengthen opposing beliefs. So if you read what I write the effect is to plunge you further down the rabbit hole. Have a nice fall, keys.

The defining characteristic of a fascist movement is the appeal to the superiority of it’s members over non members. Fascist leaders promote the idea of the superiority of its members to gain wide support even as they promote policies that benefit only a few when such policies are not in the best interests of the majority of its members. Nationalist movements usually devolve into fascism. Mr. Beck tells you you are Keys. You are better than your neighbors. Divine providence has chosen you.
Mr. Beck was wrong when he said that Communism and Fascism are the same. World War II was a war between the Communists and the Fascists. He has since modified his error saying that they are only different in Europe and that America has a unique political climate (again the appeal to superiority). Mr. Beck is talking nonsense.
I must have heard Mr. Beck say 20 times that the book “Rules for Radicals” was dedicated to Satan. If he did not say in every day, he did say it at least once a week for months. It is a lie. It’s not.
Mr. Beck went on National TV and said that Code Pink and Steven Lerner were the instigators of the worldwide economic protests. That’s great comedy.
      Mr Beck lies daily.
Go back in the archives of this site where Mr. Beck is talking to a worker from New York worried about his pension. Mr Beck says unions are the problem. The caller says to Mr. Beck that he just said unions were the problem. Mr. Beck then denies he said it. then he says it again. all in a mi

Wow – your description of fascism fits the current administration to a tee! This is the definition of fascism per Encarta: dictatorial movement: any movement, ideology, or attitude that favors dictatorial government, centralized control of private enterprise, repression of all opposition, and extreme nationalism. Except for the extreme nationalism, this also fits the administration to a tee. It is true the Soviet Socialists fought the National Socialists in WWII – but I don’t think you can categorize the Brits and Americans, who also fought the National Socialists, as Communists .

At this time in the world the “love thy enemy” thinking is dangerous. We cannot choose our enemies. They choose us. Right now we are dealing with an animal that nobody alive today has ever dealt with and unless we know our enemy better than he knows himself our hands will be eaten as we are feeding it.

That is not to say treat people with dignity and respect. Not at all. But those who want to do us harm and have used subversive strategies and tactics in the past to achieve their goals WILL do so again.

I love life and I love my family. Protecting them and myself comes before loving my enemy. The reality is that there are dangerous killers who want us dead are out there. I am open to anything, but at this point in time loving communists and muslims is not at the forefront of my priorities list.

Why not love child molesters? Monsters that rape and kill little kids then hide the fractued, beaten bodies from thier familys? If we love one enemy we have to love them all. We cannot pick and choose. Period.

Go ahead. Love the monster that killed that little girl in Florida and stuffed her in a closet while her father cried on TV. Go ahead and love the Manson family that ripped a baby out of a mother then mocked it on trial. Have fun.

I have a family to protect.

Loving your enemy also means understanding your enemy. Try at least understanding them. How ever bad their reasoning may be, everyone justifies their behavior (especially groups of people) and at least you can begin to understand.

The goal is not to defeat people, but to help them on the path to truth and goodness. We can’t defeat the Occupy Wallst people, we have to win them over to our side. And we can’t do that if we act like children attacking one another.

Did you ever see the movie Heat? In the final scene, it was cop Al Pachino comforting dying murderer and crook Robert DiNero, who Pachino had just shot. There is a need for civil justice; the authorities in government have a duty to prosecute and execute justice based on law. We as individuals also have the right to defend ourselves and especially for the sake of those who are unable to defend themselves (ie our children). However, any justice taken by an individual apart from the civil authorities must always be tempered with an utmost respect for humanity. In the movie, the cop had NO choice but to shoot, or he would let a dangerous and unrepentent criminal go free to harm again. The cop then had A choice to be a fellow human being to that same criminal after doing his duty. That is love for your enemies.

At this point in my life it is still hard, but I see these kind of people as redeemable and have great pity for them in there lost and pathetic place. You have every right to protect your family and me mine and I would do that with great violence to whomever attempt it. We do NOT agree with this, we oppose it every step of the way, we as christians understand it is a spiritual battle. God is a God of love, forgiveness, and justice; they all work together. Loving your enemy is not natural, but with the Lords help it is possible…. blessings. Yo, hope I gave you some mustard with the ketchup. I know of these things first hand. Unforgiveness causes bitterness of your own heart, so in reality when someone forgives they actually help themselves, and God in His wisdom knows this….

I think that one of the biggest problems is the “demonization” by people of those who they believe are their enemies, whether it be B.O. or Glenn Beck. The fundamental assumption by the OWS group is that Beck’s staff would sooner drive a truck over them than help someone in need of medical attention. And they were wrong. Eventually hate burns out the core because you have to keep feeding the fire. Just maybe that OWS co-chair has a little better insight into the word “compassion” or “caring”.

I just can’t do it anymore. I understand that Mr. Beck is trying to do, but I can do it. I cannot treat these people with any kind of love or respect there is only so many times. You can turn the other cheek or be understanding I have worked with people like this in local government and had to leave my job because of it
no matter how many times I’ve tried to get along or bend over backwards, because I didn’t believe what they believe or think the way they did. I was constantly harassed to the point I had to leave my job.

These people have thrown away, common sense and decency and logic to force their agenda on us I’ve seen the hatred and corruption. Up front and personal
so if all due respect to Mr. Beck and the others here. I’m sorry, I just can’t do it. I just cannot look at these people as anything else, but as the enemy of freedom. And to everything I believe. It reminds me of the old story of the frog and the scorpion. The scorpion asked the frog to take them across the stream and promises not to sting him. And halfway across he does the frog says. Why, because now we’ll both drowned. In his reply, because it’s in his nature.

That‘s what I think were dealing with or maybe I’m just too frustrated with dealing with these people for so long
maybe Mr. Beck is right and you can save some of these people. I hope that’s true

I understand what you’re saying. This is why it is truly impossible to love those who hate you. But, through God, we can and do love even our enemies. It cannot be explained any other way than that. Our human-ness, thwarts that type of love. This is why God is so good. while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us. This is why Christianity is the only religion worth following. For what credit is it to us to love those who love us back?

But I also know that God’s justice does prevail and will come. The seizure for example. Do you think that was chance? Coincidence? I don’t. I believe God intervened. But perhaps he did so to prove that love (Beck’s men) will conquer evil (Occupy Wall Streeters).

There is also a time to wipe the dust from your feet. We are to turn the cheek. But we don’t have to stand there constantly getting slapped. We can move away can’t we?

One day, evil will prevail on this planet until Christ’s second coming. So, it is going to get much, much worse. Your faith and love will be the only things to save you then. If we turn to vengeance and hate, we will be lost.

It’s actually easier to love than it is to hate. Love is from the heart. Hate needs to be drawn out from the deep recesses of our body. Why put so much effort into hating anyone? Though I don’t like to pity anyone, I do feel sorry that many of them don’t understand what they are doing. That’s when you have to remember how magnanimous Jesus was when He said, “Father, forgive them fo they know not what they do.” Think that way and you will feel love.

I totally understand where you are coming from Patriot. However, please consider this. When you are angry at someone unfortunately the anger hurts you more than it does them and you become miserable within yourself. It’s much better to just let it go. You don’t have to accept what they say or do but you can be compassionate as in helping someone who is injured or sick. That does not mean you are approving of them or their actions. Keep working on it, it takes time and it’s not easy. Don’t let anger consume you.

And Demint you totally missed the point of the I statements. When someone is talking as Patriot was is could be interpreted as being self-centered. Which if you avoid will in many ways help you to concentrate more on the problems and needs of others thereby helping you to be more loving and helpful to them. It’s a simple concept. Give it a try, it doesn’t hurt.

“What did you people do to him?” shouted one of the other Occupiers to the Samaritan as he helped the ailing man. “What kind of Nazi trick did you play on him?”

You first bloody yourself and blame the other side.

The guy will prob sue those that helped him. lol

I don‘t have grande mal’s, but I can bring a seizure on myself. I imagine more can do this, too. Getting really stressed out is one way. Knowing the left the way I do, and I’m reminded of criminals in custody who slam their own face down on the table and cry police brutality and show the cuts and bruises as proof, it’s entirely possible. And no body tell me I’m cynical. I’m an epileptic and have been a police dispatcher in the past.

And yes I have had a seizure while driving with my pregnant wife riding shotgun. Long story but a farmer did stop and throw me in the back of his truck and whisked me off to the hospital. This happened while on a bridge over the Fway. The wife had to fight for the steering wheel and throw the column gear shifter into neutral all the while seizing at WOT. (wide open throttle).

      It was a Tonic–clonic seizure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nds2U4CzvC4&feature=topics

The incident involving the man with the seizure shows that one side doesn’t know whats going on. The only thing they know is what they have been told from so and so…. and thats it….

But the death threats are generally from individuals and not groups. Those are the very small minority and need to be dealt with totally independently from the group as a whole. I agree they are not the enemy but merely misguided and brainwashed. Some will be “saved” others will never change their minds but it’s our job to try. When all avenues have been tried we do what is necessary to save our Country.

You know Mr. Beck, I stopped my GBTV subscription because of the way you have treated Ron Paul throughout this primary. I used to believe your motto “the truth stops here” but realized that although you provide good and somewhat fair news – you like all of us are fallible.

For a year you described the founders, talked about the constitution and through your show a man kept shining through as a Jefferson-reincarnate. Ron Paul, his purist view on the constitution and his economic solutions are exactly the medicine this country needs. Instead it was his constitutional foreign policy with Israel is what detracted your support with him, like him I believe that God’s promise to Israel is all they need to protect them. I do not support socialism, whether its to individuals or nations, and government aide to Israel is welfare. I believe God will protect Israel because it is written. Like John Hagee’s support for Israel I will gladly support it individually, but I cannot force a man to pay for something that he does not agree with, nor could I force a man to tithe or give to charity for my reasons and not his.

I don’t agree with your view on Ron Paul, but after watching this message I will resubscribe to GBTV because your heart is in the right place – and I can support that.

      God Bless you

@ Libertarian During one of Glenn’s last shows on Fox, a woman asked Glenn why he never had a Founders Friday show on Thomas Jefferson. Glenn replied, “Eh. He didn’t really do anything important. Not really.”
You can find it below, after the 5th ‘Commercial’
      http://squalorscholar.blogspot.com/2011/06/glenn-beck-program-june-17-liveblog.html

So the Declaration of Independence wasn‘t ’good’?
      The Louisiana Purchase wasn’t good?
The US Military Academy at West Point wasn’t good?
Abolishing the slave trade wan’t good?

I would love Beck to explain his comment.

It seems that Glenn has just now said exactly what Ron Paul says about ‘love you enemies. You are correct when you say that Glenn’s suuport of Isreal has turned him from Ron Paul. That continues to have me question Glenn. One difference of opinion ruins a relationship? Seems petty to me. Paul says Israel should be free from America. I don’t understand why Glenn wants Israel to be subjugated by America.

You are right according to Mark 9v25-27 “When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.”

A lot of believers today do not believe that the demonic realm is real and they do so to their detriment. First they are calling Yahshua – Jesus a liar for all the references he made to the demonic and how those that were believers were supposed to have power over it:
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. ” Mark 16v16-17.
And in Matt10v8 “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
Paul tells us in Eph 6v12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high plac

It’s the other side I worry and pray about the most.
