Beck Reassures Radio Audience: ‘Do You Trust Me?’

Thursday was a big day for Glenn Beck as he worked to reassure his fans that him “transitioning” from Fox is not bad news, but rather good news. He delivered that message while talking to concerned caller, Lisa.

“Do you trust me?” he asked.

“Yes,” Lisa said:

Later, Beck delivered a more serious message about the changes. “It is a new era,” he said, while offering some more details, including that Fox will decide when the TV ends:

WOW, maybe no one feels that it’s profitable to reply to bigots. If you want to hate Jews just hate them, don’t look for excuses or try to justify your hatred, just hate. Personally I believe hate causes sickness. Maybe you should just try loving your neighbor as yourself.

you may not be geting answers because we’re not sure either. would like to say that the left is being rather sneaky with some of the attachs so try not to read int it too much. as for some of the hateful comments made to you , they are’nt being nice nor do they remember not to judge. asking questions is an outstanding quality so don’t let these jackanapes deter you from seeking the truth.
as for Glenn Beck, prat for him and be patient. the way of stategy is not to reveal too much too soon, rather, set and hold while positioning, until the proper moment is revealed to you.
      hope this helps

I agree with Barbarian…you are probably not getting the answer because people don’t know. I will however say this: In my opinion it does not really matter who sentenced Jesus to die. I used the word sentenced, because no man could kill him. Is he not God? He gave His life willingly to fulfill the will of His Father, so we could be cleansed of our sins, if we follow him and sincerely repent when we sin.

With that said, lets look at your argument with this letter. Assuming they could kill Him and it was not Christ giving up His spirit from His physical body for a short period., this letter states that the Romans killed Christ, you state that the Jews killed Christ. I would say both parties played a roll, the Jews brought Christ before the Roman courts to be judged. Pilot, although he “symbolically washed his hands” does not mean that he was not part of it. He let another go, so Christ could be crucified. The Romans then scourged Christ, placed thorns on His head, mocked him and then nailed Christ’s hands and feet to the cross. Need I remind you that the cross was used extensively by the Romans to punish their enemies, this was not a device used by the Jews.

My point here is just because you did not fully think the story in the Bible through does not mean whoever wrote this letter is not a Christian. If Glenn did write this letter and I disagree with it, does not mean that he is not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Glenn and I can both be members of the same church and disagree on points.

Hopefully you can see your errors from this and correct them and stop trying to prove something that is not true.

      Thanks

WOWIDIDNT… as you are probably aware, the ADL website writes about this and posts the letter Glenn wrote. “ADL Welcomes Confirmation From Glenn Beck That Remarks Calling Up Anti-Jewish “Deicide” Charge Were Unfounded http://www.adl.org/PresRele/ASUS_12/5827_12.htm
New York, NY, August 3, 2010 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) welcomed a clarification from Glenn Beck for remarks on his July 13 broadcast on Fox News Channel where he made reference to the death of Jesus, including the comment that, “Jesus didn’t come back from the dead and make the Jews pay for what they did.”
But of course you all knew that because you do your own research as he tells you to, right?

As a child I heard that these times would come, when wrong was called right and when right was ignored. But I feel blessed to know that there are those out there not just waiting for the end and their reward, but those who understand that our God, His plan for us, the promise of the U.S., and our purpose in this world, relationship with a Loving and Holy God.

I remember him saying a few months ago that we needed to stop depending on him and about the time that would come when he wouldn’t be there – encouraging our independent action. So he’s been thinking about it a long time. He sounded like it was his idea and not theirs. Probably feels like he’s said much of what he wanted and thinks these other projects (he called “specials” at Fox) will really be helpful even more…plus they’ve got The Blaze launched, etc. and his website, etc. Sorta reminds me of when parents reluctantly, gradually “let go” of their grown kids — not really wanting to but knowing it’s best and they need to “move on” more independently. Yes, most of us trust you, Glenn – I think God has “raised him up” to help educate/encourage/enlighten us b/c we need it so desperately in these dire times (along with Rush, Fox, etc.). God bless…continue in the good fight..

I listen to Glenn Beck on my computer or smart phone through his website. It is FREE to listen to him LIVE when he broadcasts-which is from 9:00 AM-NOON Eastern Standard time. FREE folks. FREE. And NOOOOOOOOOOOO static.

I have a monthly subscription on his site so I can listen to him any time I choose to. I can pause and unpause when I need to walk away or take a break, and if I miss a couple of shows, I can always catch up later because they are archived. You can actually WATCH him do the show (which is hilarious) if you want to BUT you do not have to “watch” the radio show if you don’t want to, or you don’t have a good enough video card etc. You can just listen to him using one of his audio links instead.

Remember- ANYONE can listen to him LIVE for FREE every day. The $6-$7 dollar a month membership fee only applies to those who want Extreme Membership privileges which not only allows you to listen/watch at your own convenience ANYTIME you want to, but it also gives you access to his video archives, Beck University, and two more HILARIOUS hours of radio-one called the 4th Hour with just Stu and Pat and a new show by S.E. Cupp-a hilarious, sharp as a whip, well connected young woman who comes at the conservative side of things with a fresh and fabulous voice. And the little clips of the Czar at Large are some of my favorite gems. Check it out folks. It‘s cheaper than satellite radio or cable television and you don’t need tivo either.

(No progressive trolls I do not work for Glenn Beck, The Blaze, Fox, or any other GB affiliate and I was not paid to say any of this, so BITE me.)

He may feel that by the time he leaves FOX, he will have exhausted his options there and in order to take the next step, will need to do something different. When I first heard the news yesterday, I will admit, I panicked! But after thinking about it overnight and hearing him on the radio this morning, I feel he still has more to offer and won’t let us or his country down. Listen to what he has said the 5 o’clock show is ending, thats all he is still with Fox! All the libs partying over this are in for a rude awakening! based on his show today IMO he is moving to TX and will do a show of some sort from there With or without Fox. I say this as it has been rumored over the net he was looking into a cable network going POSSIBLY the Oprah route.

To go to his Revere analogy Paul stopped ringing the bell and then got into the fight. So what GB will be doing should be even more intense than what he has done in the past. Thus his comment the left will be crapping their pants.

I think a bigger better Beck program is coming that as he also said last night the left celebrating “…are going to pray for the days of 5pm”

I tried to verify this with a secondary source and strangely found NOTHING about it. I tried to ask a few Tea Party people this question and they acted like I was the plague coming to kill them. So, I’ll ask it here. Did Beck write this anti-Christian letter to the ADL, as they claim he did?
      August 2, 2010
      Mr. Foxman,
Thank you for the note and for reaching out to me.
As you assumed, it was certainly not my intention to say what I have been accused of saying. I strongly believe that it is a historical fact that the Romans, not the Jews, put Jesus to death and that fact has been confirmed by the Roman Catholic Church and other Christian denominations.
Although the words I chose did not make this clear, I was trying to reference accusations that have been made against the Jews and how some of those accusations have led to horrors like the Inquisition as they were permitted to go unchallenged.

While as a non-Jew, I can never fully understand the suffering that has resulted from the historically inaccurate deicide charge, as someone with German heritage, I recognize the horrors that have been perpetrated on Jews throughout history and have asked if my ancestors knew what was taking place and looked the other way or how they could not have known of the horrors taking place. .

Thank you again for reaching out to me, I appreciate the opportunity to clarify my thoughts and would welcome the chance to continue the dialogue so I can better understand the injustices that your organization is committed to fighting.

      Sincerely,

      Glenn Beck

I can’t imagine him writing this letter. Everyone knows that Pontias Pilot (spelling?) took a basin, and symbolically washed his hands of the death of Christ because he believed him to be innocent. He told the jews to do as they would, he found no fault in him. Everyone knows that the jews killed Jesus Christ. How could he say it was the Romans? Christ was constantly rebuking the church elder jews and condemning their hypocrisy, it is one of the reasons why they wanted him dead. It’s in the Bible, clear as day. If he did write it, I can’t understand why he would. I really thought he was a Christian. How come I can’t get anyone to say anthing about this? It makes no sense. I am a lawyer. Back in the late 90′s, I spent a few years working for a pro-family NGO at the United Nations. I saw the nasty Leftist juggernaut taking shape there, and Soros was in the middle of it. I kept thinking, “The majority of people in America are good people. If they truly understood what was taking place, they would reject it. But, they don’t understand it because the media is complicit.” Glenn has had a platform for making the American people understand, and he has been using it. He has been teaching history and political philosophy in a coherent way that nobody else is even attempting to do. Who will do this job if he is not longer on TV? Like it or not, that is where a lot of people get their information.

No Glenn, I do not “Trust” you. It’s like this: You believe in a doomsday script that might happen, only because there are a lot of people that follow these religious scripts. If they happen it’s because they allowed it to happen. Because man controls his own destiny, I follow the script without believing in it as you do. Why follow the script? So I can dodge the bullets coming from the stage.

So no, I do not trust Beck. But I do listen to the script.

Glenn always says “trust your gut” and mine just is not feeling right about this! If FOX makes a public statement that they offered to renew Glenn’s contract, and Glenn declined, well then the pit in my stomach would go away. But that has not been said. Both Glenn and FOX are tiptoeing around the subject, eluding around the subject, but neither making a definite and definitive statement regarding this matter. That is what is so bothersome and is the crux of this matter.

“I trust Glenn will continue to find news ways to lie to his fan base in order to exploit their fear and ignorance for Beck’s financial gain.”

Encinom you need to get over your hate toward Glenn Beck.

You are the typical Glenn Beck hater. You think he lies but you don’t give specifics. If you are gowing to throw out that you believe he lies you need to list those items you believe he has “lied” about.

I have listened and watched Glenn on a fairly regular basis for over a year now. I was skeptical of Glenn at first because of Glenn haters, like yourself Encinom, so I have done the research and find that Glenn does not lie. He says certain things, “like the Obama has deep seeded hatred of whites”, that gets him into trouble at times but that is an opinion, on his part, and not subject to being clarified a lie.

Glenn said the stock market would crash = The stock market crashed.

Glenn said Gold would be a good investment = For those that bought Gold it was a very good investment.

Glenn said The Muslim Brotherhood would rise to power in the countries where revolution has been happening = Sure looks like that The Muslim Brotherhood will win many elections (We’ll see if there will continue to be elections {meaningful elections / not rigged elections} after The Muslim Brotherhood rises to power.

Glenn said food prices would continue to rise and at an alarming rate = I married my wife a little over 12 years ago. When I was single I could fill up a grocery cart for just over $100.00. Today I am lucky (Very Lucky) if I fill two grocery bags for that same amount. If meat is purchased it is more likely that $100.00 is one grocery bag.

I could go on and on Encinom. So please, list the “lies” you feel Glenn has given his “fan base” exploiting their “fear” and “ignorance”!

Personnaly I put more trust in what Glenn says than President Obama. Let us compare:

President Obama said he would close Gitmo = Gitmo is still open.

President Obama said he would have trials for the Gitmo detainees on US soil = The trials will now be Military Tribunals at Gitmo.

President Obama said we would be out of Iraq by the end of 2011 = Reports today are hinting that the US will still be in Iraq past the 2011 deadline.

President Obama said we would only enforce a “no-fly zone” in Libya = We have bombed tanks, the city of Tripoli and at least one personal residence of Kadhafi. Tanks are not set up as anti-aircraft devices so how is “tank killing” enforcing a no-fly zone. Innocent civilians live in Tripoli so how is bombing Tripoli keeping innocent civilians safe. Bombing Kadhafi’s residence is a clear violation of executive order 12333.

President Obama said Obamacare would reduce healthcare costs for the middle class = My healthcare coverage thru my employer (between premium increase, deductible increase, etc.) went up 70 percent this year over last year. BOY! There’s savings for ya!!!!

President Obama said he hasn’t raised taxes once = Cigarette tax was doubled under President Obama via the “Affordable Care Act”.

Now if that is not enough for you then you can go to http://obamalies.net/list-of-lies for more Obama lies.

Sorry Encinom but Beck vs. Obama = Beck wins by a landslide in the truth catagory.

Remember when President Nixon asked all Americans to “trust me” when liberal hounds were circling all around him? We did. And then in total disbelief we watched him on national TV, saying “I am not a crook.” We watched him some more as he resigned the presidency in disgrace, flew off in his helicoptor to find Air Force 1 and took it to California to sulk his mansion in San Clemente. The bags of money went on to his other mansion on Biscayne Bay, located right next door to his best friend BeBe Rebozo’s much bigger mansion. But then, to Nixon’s credit, at the end of his life he looked us all straight in the eye, teared up and again insisted that he never did anything to deserve impeachment, and then actually said his was sorry…. that he had resigned. I’m not.

“Holy crap balls! I wonder if he is not thinking about a presidential run?”

I very much doubt this on many levels:

Glenn, as much as he enjoys to work, also seems to enjoy his family. I don’t think he will jeapardize that.

Glenn seems to enjoy his work. He has been in media since his teenage years. Why go into something that you don’t know if you enjoy.

The presidential salary is $400,000.00. Glenn is reported to have made $32 million last year.

I think Glenn has too much respect for those he has interviewed (Sarah Palin) as well as other conservatives who are looking to vie for the Presidency to jump into this arena.

Here’s what Roger Ailes said in an interview with AP: “Half of the headlines say he’s been canceled,” Ailes said. “The other half say he quit. We’re pretty happy with both of them.”

He also seemed to imply that Beck’s show might have been getting a little tired.

“We felt Glenn brought additional information, a unique perspective, a certain amount of passion and insight to the channel and he did,” Ailes said. “But that story of what’s going on and why America is in trouble today, I think he told that story as well as could be told. Whether you can just keep telling that story or not … we’re not so sure.”

I guess you can make of that what you want.

@WOWIDIDNTNOTHAT – I cannot speak as to the letter, but I can speak as to the history of Jesus’ crucifixion. The crucifixion itself was carried out by the Roman soldiers at the order of Pontius Pilate, who acted at the behest of the Jews. It is stated quite clearly in Matthew 27:27-31: “27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the governor’s headquarters, and they gathered the whole battalion before him. 28 And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, 29 and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head. 31And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.”

My family and ALL, and I mean ALL my friends were (past tense) keen advocates of Fox News. However, NOW, the Fox News cowardice issue is relegated to the untrustworthy media graveyard of rotting media corpses.

Sorry Fox, your credibility, within my colloquial world, is now zilch. Your executives removed an honorable genius from your programming who meticulously researched and efficiently explained an alternative, political point of view, which was without a doubt, warranted.

I believe it to be good news.
      Beck, Unchained.
      ————————————————-
      EXACTLY!

All of those people that act like it’s the end of the world may as well find themselves a Dr. Kavorkian and just get it over with. The rest of us will still be here to see what Glenn does next. Knowing him as I do, I’m guessing its gonna be great!

Trust No Man. Verify All Men.
Okay, Glenn … maybe in 25 years …

sheriff BART: “I’m rapidly becoming a big underground success in this town.”
town drunk JIM: “See? In another twenty-five years, you’ll be able to shake their hands in broad daylight.”

Despite what you may have heard from Glenn and others as to the “official” story on his departure, he WAS shown the door by forces beyond his or Ailes’ control. I’m sure that he has always had an alternative plan. The real reason has to be spun in order for him to save some face. Ironically, Glenn was a victim of “bottom up, top down, and inside out.”

Perhaps his new gig at GBTV will allow him to finally say what’s really going on without having to worry if Rupert (NWO enabler and CFR member) , is going to be offended.

AMEN! I, too, trust Glenn. The TRUTH will prevail! God Bless Glenn, his family, Pat, Stu, “Jeffy” and the rest of his staff, including his security staff!

      Beatrice writes:

“I do trust Mr. Beck; however, I no longer trust FOX. It is my opinion that Fox has CAVED to the “Media Matters” harassment and threats.

At 5:00 PM, an historical “ghost town” time-slot, this man, made his bones and YOURS.

I predict that your weak-kneed ailments will forever haunt you and your bank accounts. God speed, FoxNews with your “Barbie Dolls” and “quasi-tabloid” evening reporting, a.k.a., the BO suck-up, O”Reilly.”
      ————————————————————————–

      Encinom, is that you?

Beatrice, or whomever, you state it is your OPINION that FNC caved to outside forces. Then, without any proof, you go on a silly little tirade about how you and your family marched the streets carrying FNC signs promoting the channel to everyone you came into contact with but now…You are disowning them. You berate them and their “barbie doll” reporters and their “quasi-tabloid” reporting…

You either have serious bi-polar issues or you are trolling.

I would suggest you first get your facts straight before you go jumping off any cliffs…

Sheesh, did Beck teach you nothing?

Hmmm. He sounds like Aladdin speaking to Princess Jasmin, right before he met the Genie and lied to her. Not that Glenn has ever lied to us, but I am always wary of someone having to ask “Do you trust me”. Many a snake oil salesman has used that right before picking the pockets of those that have gained his trust. Again, not claiming to know anything, but I will keep him on the same leash that I always have, as Glenn has said many times “The Truth has no agenda”.

      @WOWIDIDNTKNOWTHAT

You are right my friend…the Jews killed Jesus.
One thing you Christians don understand…Mormonism is a cult. They use some of the same language but they believe Salvation comes by works and not by faith in the shed blood of Jesus. The Mormons believe in thier own scriptures( Docteran of covanants and the Pearl of great price) that on Judgment day , the Joseph Smith will sit with Jesus and heavenly Father and Judge people on thier works…….Like Glenn says “Dont take my word for it” google Mormanism the cult”….As a lay person Glenn is doing great works as a Christian, If he still attends an LDS church he is a fraud….but dont take my word for it, check it out yourself
