Beck Responds to Al Jazeera ‘Smear Campaign’ Comparing Him to Al-Qaeda Terrorist

I don’t know many people who would respond well to being compared to a terrorist. Add Glenn Beck to the list.

After Al Jazeera published an op-ed on Sunday comparing Beck to Al Qaeda operative Anwar Al-Awlaki, Beck unleashed an epic response to the news outlet on Tuesday that included pointing out Hillary Clinton’s love of the Mideast news outlet.

At one point, Beck went line-by-line to dismantle the op-ed by Palestinian-American Ahmed Moor, who accused Beck of hating “homosexuals and strong women.” Beck pointed out that not only does he have homosexual friends, but also married a very strong woman. He also noted that he came out strong against the Oslo shooter on Monday, calling the man “monster.”

That, however, was just the beginning. Beck went on to use his humor and satire to roast the outlet and author:

      I am always fascinated by leftists who are patently incapable of intelligent discourse. Those who, instead of presenting a factual argument, simply label, smear, curse and attack. The arguments devolve instead, into who can “one up” another, all the while becoming more and more strident, hoping to drown out the opponents. When I bother to waste time debating liberals, I ask them to agree up front to some rules – no labels, no name calling, no arguments based on wishful philosophies, only cold, hard fact. Truly, I have discovered that this is a gargantuan waste of time, as I have never had a liberal last more than 30 seconds without violating the rules. Your arguments are specious and devoid of reason, and based completely on intimidation and suppression of any argument that differs from your own. Watch any video of those who use the word “hate” in order to attempt to suppress speech from their opponents. You’ll notice something striking. The accused is usually calm, the accuser is practically foaming at the mouth, a sure sign that, while they are gifted at cursing, there isn’t a single coherent thought that has ever made it past their lips. I’m sorry to tell you this, but you and your ilk who fling the word “tolerance” around like a mace, are sadly incapable of reasoning on this level. Anyone who disagrees is a “hater”. I know…there is no hypocrisy from the left because, like all “tolerant” liberals (so long as you agree 100%) the end ALWAYS justifies

      Is there any argument or defense for Beck comparing the victims of the Right Wing Christian Mad Man to Nazis. He called them hitler youth because they were at a political camp that disagress with, his argument that any child sent to a politcal theme camp is akin to a member of the Hitler youth, I guess that also goes for the 9/12 Camps various Tea Party groups have set up.

      9/12 camps are nothing more than tbag indoctrination centers. They teach Beck approved history with their own reactionary slant. But, again that is not the issue, the issue is that Beck did not qualify his statement, he said all camps that have a politcal core are like Hitler Youth Camps, that would include the 9/12 camps as Hitler Youth camps (the irony). The bigger issue is that Beck said anything against the victims of this Right Wing Christian Loon.

      By the way it was Norway’s Labour Party Government that fought the Nazis in WWII.

      I think Glenn Beck was correct in saying that the political camp in Norway was like a “Hitler youth camp” they had anti-Jewish signs and pro Arab signs and so when one is indoctrinating the youth against Jews as the Nazi’s did then any thinking human being will see they are one and the same.

I could have agreed with you that it would have been horrible if he did compare them to Nazis, but I am a Norwegian and I have been to a camp like that and EVEN I got what he meant about what he said.       I agree with Glenn, the camp is like Hitler Youth and it is indoctrinating these kids. I am against any camp, political in nature, brainwashing children. I am against the Jesus, muslim, and any other religious camps too! No camps for kids that indoctrinate them and interfere with critical thinking. Period.

      I never heard him make that comparison, but political youth camps do sound kinda creepy. Maybe that’s just a European kind of thing — but as an American, it seems very odd. To me youth camp means church camps or Boy Scout camps, not Young Pioneers, Hitler Youth, or whatever.

      The correct analogy for Mr. Beck would have been the Young Pioneers, a movement which is still alive in most communist countries. During the existence of the USSR, thousands of Young Pioneer camps and Young Pioneer Palaces were built exclusively for Young Pioneers, which were free of charge, sponsored by the government and Trade Unions . There were many newspapers and magazines published for Young Pioneers in millions of copies.

      But as usua,l Mr. Beck cannot resist the over the top Nazi comparison.

      I personally was a member of B’nai Birth Youth Organaziation when I was in my early teens. Although the organization has changed greatly behind-the-scenes over the years, its original tenets still remain true: dedication to Jewish life, a pluralistic approach, commitment to community service and social action.

      Don- Why not? Weren‘t the National Socialists the majority elected party of Germany in the 1930’s and were they not a legal party that opposed communism as one of their planks.       @BIGJAYINPA Don‘t you think that ’indoctrination’ is a slightly hyperbolic term to use? Neither of us really know the ins and outs of what the programme was so why assume the worst? The Nazis never won an absolute majority in any legitimate parliamentary election.The Norwegian Labour Party have never been a paramilitary organisation, have never murdered opponents, have never suspended the Norwegian constitution and have never commited genocide. Their record in office and their current policies strongly suggest that they are of the centre left. If you think that the Norwegian Labour Party are in any way comparable to the Nazis (and their youth groups) then I‘m afraid we’ll have to agree to differ. Just saying.

      I don’t know about the Norwegian Labor Party, but the youth of similarly situated Scandanavian political parties have engaged in a wide assortment of violent thuggery. I remember reading about “center” left Swedes (wwearing masks & weilding iron rods) breaking up political assemblies that they opposed.

      Probably won’t happen when he does stuff like comparing the Norway youth camp to Hitler Youth. Beck can call some things like they are, but he also has an alarming propensity to go way too far in his analogies. That’s a good trait for an entertainer or a pundit, but not a politician.

I hear the group responsible for a disproportionat amount of terror in the world turning to the west and making the accusation that they are being treated unfairly.     Allah is impersonal, God of the Scriptures reveal (1 Peter 5:6-7) .

    Actually no, Allah is the Arabic word for God, and is comparable to the Hebrew Elohim and the Syriac Elaha. Arabic speaking Christians worship the Allah of the Bible, and the Arabic Bible uses the word Allah for God.

    You guys consistently demonstrate your ignorance, which does not help our cause at all.

    The conflicts between The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost to Allah is incredible and irrefutable.That’s just one of many examples that separate the two. When I say separate I’m not referring to the difference between protestant and catholic or Orthodox to Baptist. I’m speaking of such a wide divide that nothing can remotely compare the two in its principal theologies and practices.

    You can word play and deflect the main issue by defining words within Arabic,Hebrew,Aramaic or even caveman drawings from a wall in the mountains of China. It only proves that man and especially Mohammad has hijacked the Term God and used it for his twisted murderous ways. I challenge you to find me something within the Koran, Hadiths, and the Sira (taking abrogation in mind. You do know what that mean dont you?) that are in line and based on the words of Christ and the Father.

    You sir not I are proving their ignorance.

    NO ,Allah and the GOD of Abraham< Issac, and Jacob are not the same.
    GOD is a title and not a name. The name of the creator of the universe is spelled Yod, Hey, Vav, Hay. Pronounced Yahweh, Yahveh, Yeh HaVah, or similar but it is not pronounced ALLAH.
    Isaiah 45:
    So that you may know that I am the LORD,
    the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
    4 For the sake of Jacob my servant,
    of Israel my chosen,

    and bestow on you a title of honor,
    though you do not acknowledge me.

    What I said is true. Ask any Arabic speaking Christian (they do exist you know), and they will tell you Allah is the Arabic word for God. The Arabic translation of the Christian Bible contains “Allah”. Arabic is a Semitic language, like Hebrew, and thus it should be no surprise to anyone that the Hebrew “Elohim” and Arabic “Allah” are cognates. That is not word play, it is a fact (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allah).

    So, when you say “The conflicts between The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost to Allah is incredible and irrefutable”, you are saying that there is a conflict between the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and “God”, since Allah is just the Arabic word for God. So, what you say is nonsense.

    If you were a missionary sent to teach Arabic speaking people about Christianity, what word would you use in Arabic to mean God, if they knew no English at all, if not Allah?

    Now, the rest of your post incorrectly asserts that I am arguing that the Muslim understanding of God is the same as the Christian understanding of God. I never made that argument, so I will not even attempt to defend it. You will have to take that up with someone else who feels that way.

    My point is “Allah” is the Arabic word equivalent to the English word “God”, and the Finnish word “Jumala”, and the German word “Gott” (which is a cognate of the English “God”).

    If you cannot concede that fact, then you are choosing to remain ignorant.

    Hallelujah! That is in English. Do you know how it reads in Arabic by Christians when they read the same verses in the Arabic translation of the Holy Bible?

    Are you aware that there are other languages in the world besides English and they don’t all use the English words “Lord” and “GOD” when referring to the Christian Deity? Those are English words…

    For example, Finnish Christians say “Jumala” instead of “God”, and “Herra” instead of “Lord”. DOes that mean that they worship a different God?

    @Steve,

    The same can be said of Jews and Christians. There is no trinity in the Torah, the Jews do not worship a three in one god but a single entity, in many many ways similar to Allah, something to be expect coming from the children of Abraham. Same goes for the Mormons, a central mormon belif is that God and Christ are seperate beings.

    As for the author of evil, was not Lucifer the first among the Angels prior to his fall, before God there was nothing he is the creator of all, of the Angels of the Heavens and all that is below. If God does not tempt, explain the story of Job?
