Beck Responds to WaPo Story About Romney’s Alleged High School Bullying

Glenn Beck Responds to WaPo Story About Romneys Alleged High School BullyingEarlier today, The Blaze reported about John Lauber and his family’s startling response to allegations that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney bullied him back in high school.

This morning, Glenn Beck and his radio team spoke out about the media’s handling of the situation, specifically when it comes to outlets’ consistent failures to properly vet President Barack Obama.

(Related: Family of Romney’s Alleged Bully Victim Speaks Out: ‘The Portrayal of John Is Factually Incorrect’)

GlennBeck.com recaps Beck’s discussion about The Washington Post report that brought the allegations out to the forefront:

“You know, here’s the Washington Post vetting Mitt Romney in this way for a haircut, a haircut, 50 years ago. Almost 50 years ago, but they have absolutely zero interest, none whatsoever, in the chosen one’s past. Barack Obama has done and said ‑‑ I mean, the guy was mentored by a card‑carrying Communist,” Pat said.

Glenn added that in the sixties and seventies the words and insults that are now associated with “gay bashing” weren’t necessarily used that way then. Glenn said that he used to be called a “pansy” because he was terrible at sports, but neither he nor his friends associated the word with having sex with men or other homosexual behavior.

“It’s not what they meant. We didn’t think this way,” Glenn explained.

“The culture was completely different then,” Stu added.

“Is everybody in the Washington Post so secure in their high school career that there’s nothing they fear coming out?,” Beck asked.

There are a few things to the story that were missed:
1 – Romney has saved the lives of about a dozen people since then.
2 – The main stream media has started bombarding their networks with this crap story: http://www.thedailycandidate.com/video/2012/may/msm_romney_pranking.html
3 – The ‘victims’ family denounced this story.
4 – Obama was and is a bully

And so much more to come…

      It never happened.

      A) The family don’t recall it.
      B) The story changed and the WaPo lied about changing it.
      C) The Daily Mail (UK) who ran with the story (they hate Romney) last night and had over 700 comments this morning COMPLETELY scrubbed the story by 10:00am (EST).

That’s all I need to know.

Media fixates on Romney highschool bullying story; IGNORES OBAMA FELONY POSSESSION/USE OF DRUGS FROM HIS BOOK.

Romney was a minor in highschool when the bullying supposedly happened.

OBAMA WAS AN ADULT WHEN HIS FELONY DRUG USE AND POSSESSION OCCURRED.

A quote from the original news story: “The incident was recalled similarly by five students, who gave their accounts independently of one another. Four of them — Friedemann, now a dentist; Phillip Maxwell, a lawyer; Thomas Buford, a retired prosecutor; and David Seed, a retired principal — spoke on the record. Another former student who witnessed the incident asked not to be identified.” These men who paticipated in this vicious act are incredulous that old Mitty couldn’t recall this. They ALL remember it and are remorseful for their actions. Mitt, conveniently, doesn’t “remember,” which I don’t believe! He’s a LIAR. Had he taken responsibility or showed any genuine kind of regret for having participated in this incident, it would have made the news story just look like a opportunistic chance to make Mitt look bad. The fact that he REFUSED to do this shows a severe lack of conscience and character. Romney is a disgenuine, phony, arrogant, pretentious jackass! He can’t express a cogent thought or platform fro the republican party. If he is the person who represent all of your views and values….then our country is doomed for failure.

Every tub will stand on its own bottom. It is not about what everyone beside you does or does not do. It is about what you do to insure you are right in the eyes of God. No men are perfect, but some who want an upheavel in a society who has bent backwards to appease is not going to make the cut. There are limits to everything even to freedoms that are excessive. There has to be structure and guidelines and a basis or foundation upon which to make laws in order to sustain as much fairness as possible. These Truths in law must be above what man will have in order for them to be just. Men are just not capable of making just laws. The Spirit of God is in law when people ask his blessings over a country. That is why this country has prospered as much as it has. People are ruining it because they want to follow after hedonism more than follow after God. People are, by their own doing, dirtying up and twisting these laws to suit their agendas. This should not be, for it will not stand.

Does not matter, Paul is going to win the nomination. Rule 38 of the GOP handbook, that has been used in the last two elections, states that no delegates can be bound by any state, therefore, on the first round of votes, delegates can vote their conscience. There are more Paul supporters as delegates than anyone knows about. I would say that one third of supposed Romney delegates are Paul supporters and Paul is in a close second with delegates to this point. Add the Paul supporters that nobody knows about and we have a very interesting convention coming up.

It amazes me how little most people know about how our election process works. This is why Paul is doing so well, his supporters not only have the loyalty and fortitude to work the process, but the knowledge also. I have watched some caucuses and am amazed at how Paul supporters use the rules against everyone in order to take over the caucuses, by the rules. It is amazing.

@Patriot, I see what you‘re saying and IF the media was fair to RP and if trucks with votes from Aimes didn’t get lost, and if Maine didn’t cancel caucuses in Februrary because of predicted 1-3 inches of snow, and if they didn’t close people out of special caucuses in NV, and if there wasn’t so many videos of establishment GOP folks trying to shut out Paul supporters, and if the GOP didn’t threaten to not seat delegates from NV, etc… I’d join in with you on petitioning the GOP to change it OWN rules. I just think RP has been given the shaft in more ways than one. How about O’Reilly telling his flock before the primaries that Paul would NEVER be the nominee? Finally, no one is stopping Romney‘s supporters from doing what Paul’s supporters are doing in these caucus states, are they? Just no one is really all that enthusiastic for him like they are for Dr. Paul. They might vote for him because he’s who they think will beat Obama, but they aren’t getting off the couch for him. So really it comes down to RP’s people being activists vs. Romney’s supporters being old and groomed by CFR/foreign owned Fox News. (their blackout is back firing) Don’t worry though, I‘m sure the establishment will pull some crap of it’s own to ensure their good little globalist is the nominee. The central bankers, military industrial complex and other elites are comfy, so they won’t jeopardize RP cutting their gravy train.

@Patriot, Yes, I think the system should be changed. Not in the middle of the primary though. I don’t like electronic ballots. I think the media should be more honest. I’m not a huge fan of the super pacs. That being said, they are playing by the same rules. Ron Paul has NO advantage whatsoever, other than a platform that actually excites people. Everyone said during the primaries the caucuses were basically glorified straw polls. Furthermore, if we went solely by delegate count, people in states whose primaries are late can get completely shut out of the process. I agree the system stinks, but the people from the Paul camp are playing by the rules which is not the case with other campaigns and there’s plenty of video evidence of that. Besides, everyone says it isn’t going to work, and as we’ve discussed before, I don’t think our votes should be counted by a Soros connected company in Socialist Spain either.

Only 10 to 15 percent actually understand what is happening.

Only 10 to 15% understand if you nominate a guy saying “fiscal responsibility” yet he puts out a budget that doesnt cut current spending levels you are going to get hammered by Obama.

Maybe only 10 to 15% want freedom and rest have no problems with the government spying and tracking them. It could be that only 10 to 15% think our military is spread to thin and we need to quit being the global police force.

What I personally think it is though, is ignorance. People listen to Rush, Sean, Beck, and Bill and let them tell them who to vote for. They listen to FOX and do no research on their own because they really believe those men can do no wrong. Dont get me wrong I loved Glenn’s show on Fox. It woke me up to these things. Only you can decide which side of history, and that is what is being made right now, you are going to be on. P8triot, Here is an old clip, but still has the same meaning today as it did then: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OV8RSgCr2g

Our founders were wise men. They put a system in place that had the ability to sidestep tyranny if need be. The voting process is set up to allow the grassroots of freedom to prevail when the establishment will not listen to reason. In order to be free, you need the handfuls of people that have the fortitude to stand up to the special interests, the corrupt that would take everything and give back nothing in return, and ignore the ridicule from the masses that have fallen into the special interests rheroric. This handful of patriots will be the ones that save a nation as the rest sit idly by fearing the unknown.

The Revolutionary War was started from less than 20% of the people and became the biggest force for freedom the world has ever seen. We are repeating history, in some sense, that we are in a fight for our freedoms again, and it is going to take less than 20% of the people to do the right thing. Sad, since most really should know their history and be willing to join the fight. I will be on the right side of history. I will write Pauls name in if I have to.

Your assertion that RP usually gets between 5% and 15% in most of the primaries is true. Remember, though, in many states if a voter is registered as anything except a Republican they can’t vote in the primary. In fairness I admit that I’ve followed and supported RP for a long time. I don’t know if the voting restrictions make enough of a difference to change the primary outcomes, but I do know they certainly are a factor in the lower percentage that RP generally garners. It‘s one of the reasons he generally does much better in straw polls where it’s less likely that a voter’s Party of registration is taken into account. Peace.

No you don’t get it. Yes we’re at a tipping point. The global elites are playing their end game because the gig is up. Romney is on the global elite team, with the media the banks, The Fed, Republicans, and Democrats, Obama, think tanks, Military Industrial Complex, etc. They’re trying to convince the sheep (sucessfully) that there is a difference between them, but there really isn’t on anything substancial. Romney is it because he fits into their plan. Obama / Romney… no difference, they will both surrender our sovereignty over to the UN.

The “story” of the supposed bullying by Romney is falling apart and the family of the guy says he never mentioned it, and if it had been that bad he would’ve told them. The guy would’ve know who Romney was before he died I think this story is made up….now…what about Obama’s OWN BOOK where he said he bullied the only black kid in his class.

Did he hate being black as a child? So he targeted the only black child in his class. Did he ever apologize to her…SINCE HE ADMITS IT.

Back in the day Obama must’ve hated being black because he targeted and bullied the only other black child in his class and he did that in front of white students who laughed…did Obama ever apologize? It was not that long ago.

It is a blessing that God always trips up would-be dictators by letting them convict and sentence themselves. The Mitt release was obviously timed to add credence to the “evolving” BO position on gay marriage.
Here’s how God took care of things this time: Leftists always forget that Leftists always lie. For years, the gay community, as part of justifying forcing itself on America, has always stated that 10% of the US population is gay. So, BO couldn’t pass up a great voting bloc like that along with the concurrent Hollywood fund-raising benefits, could he?
Well, BO, you forgot that one key lie, which has been spread for so long. The gay portion of the US population is actually less than 1%. In great majority, the rest of the country is not gay and could care less if many of your buddies are, BO. All we have ever said is: Keep it to yourselves and don’t force it on our children by stridently attempting to legitimize it as a great way to live.

I do a question for Mormons. What do you think your prophet was saying right here.

President and Prophet Gordon B. Hinkley of the LDS church. He stated on June 4, 1998, in a speech in Paris, France:

“The traditional Christ of whom they speak (meaning traditional Christian churches) is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak as been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times. He together with His Father, appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the year 1820, and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more of the matters of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages.” (Church News, June 20, 1998, p70)

Also P8riot you mentioned here people have said Mormons will have orgies in Heaven. Well is it true or untrue that the Mormon god has many wives in Heaven who gave him his “spirit children”. If so, he is practicing polygamy. It might not be an orgy but polygamy none the less. Since, Mormons believe they will be like their god and ruling over their own universe it would also take many wives to do that also. If these are true, does your wife know you will be taking other wives to populate your own planet?

      @MUTINY –

I must first ask you a question… seriously… was your previous moniker “Martinez____” (I can’t remember the number combination after the name)? I’m being completely serious in that question because Martinez asked me an identical question and also brought my wife into the conversation. Plus I looked after reading your post, and your current Moniker was created right about the same time that Martinez (also a Paul supporter and daily poster) suddenly disappeared. Please be honest, I’m just curious since I had so many conversations with him :)

Now, to answer your questions. Regarding what Gordon B. Hinkley stated – the website you cut and paste that from left out the end of his quote – it states:

“Am I Christian? Of course I am. I believe in Christ. I talk of Christ. I pray through Christ. I’m trying to follow Him and live His gospel in my life.”

This entire quote says nothing new. We, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that Joseph Smith was literally visited by our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ and was thereafter directed on what to do to restore the Church of Jesus Christ back to its fullness. One of those restored doctrines was that we believe that God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate personages. Is that the traditional view of Christ today in other Christian churches? No, thus as he stated, we have a non-traditional understanding of Christ.

      continued:

As for your second question, that one is loaded with falsities. First, nowhere, absolutely nowhere in our scriptures does it state what you state regarding our Heavenly Father having multiple wives. You can look if you please, but you won’t find any. Now don’t go trying to use books that are not scripture to claim that such is our doctrine. Find me such a teaching in our canonized scriptures if you can. That has never been taught from a single pulpit in any of our churches.

As for your view that polygamy is synonymous with orgy… would you be so bold in the face of Abraham, Jacob, Moses, or any of the other biblical prophets who were polygamists? Would you say such things to the Lord himself, when he stated (through the Prophet Nathan) that he himself gave David multiple wives (and would have given him more if David so desired)? 2 Samuel 12:7-9.

Anyhow, this is a perfect example of people believing things that they get off of some anti-mormon website that takes our doctrines and twists them for shock value.

Do we believe families are eternal? Absolutely. I know that my wife will be with me after we die and our children will be my children for eternity. This is a beautiful truth that Satan wants to hide from the world.

      Take care brother!

      @p8riot

I have answered that question before. I am the same person. I changed over because I like the idea of mutiny if the GOP tries to show another crappy candidate down our throats like McCain.

So the man says it isnt the same Christ. That goes to the exact thing I have brought up before, you are not worshiping the same Christ. You can say the name Jesus Christ over and over but they are not the same ones and your prophet just pointed that out. As many of you Mormons like to point out the word Christian came well after Jesus Christ. The point I have been trying to make is you can call yourself a Christian till you are blue in the face, it doesnt mean you will go to Heaven. You are sadly worshiping a false god created by Satan. As I have said many times, if you are correct, I go to heaven some lower tier with the Muslims and Scientologist. If evangelicals are correct you go to where the Muslims and Scientologists go, which is Hell. This is not worth gambling on.

Yes the reference to the wives may not be in your cannon but it was taught by your second prophet.

“When our father Adam came into the Garden of Eden, he came into it with a celestial body and brought Eve, one of his wives, with him… He [Adam!] is our Father and our god and the only God with whom we have to do.” Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, 1:50

      @p8riot

The problem with using Abraham, Moses, and others is they were sinners. The real hitch in the Mormon belief is as Brigham Young said you needed polygamy to even get to heaven. Those men were not in polygamy for religious reasons, they did it out of practicality. Rich men could provide so they of course had multiple wives.

I know these things are not in the cannon because people would reject them and not give Mormonism a shot if you laid out all of the stuff that is kind of out there. It is widely talked about how the LDS keeps things like this from the church even though the higher ups believe it. Lets not forget that polygamy was part of your faith and only because Utah wanted to become a state was it changed.

See I dont believe in a pope or prophet telling me what to think. I talk to God and I am guided by God through prayer. He made it that way so I didnt need a man(sinner) telling me what God thinks. Do Mormons not believe in prayer?

@MUTINY – Honestly, you and I have never discussed how you (Mutiny) are the same person formerly known as Martinez… So thanks for clearing that up – that actually makes a lot of sense looking back at our past conversations.

Thus, I’ve given you so many biblical verses so many times in the past supporting our theology and you continue to reject the literal meaning of what they say… so I think we’re just going to have to agree to disagree. :-)

I am curious though, in your rebuttal to the biblical fact of sanctified plural marriage, you failed to address the one scripture I cited regarding the Prophet Nathan speaking directly for the Lord in telling David that the Lord himself GAVE David his multiple wives – and would have given him more if he wanted if he wouldn’t have murdered to take Bathsheba as a wife (2 Samuel 12:7-9). How do you explain that? You don’t believe the Lord was lying or was a “sinner” just as you claim Abraham, Jacob, and Moses were? Why then would the Lord himself reveal the law of how to care for plural wives (Exodus 21:10; see also Deuteronomy 21:15)? You can’t seriously doubt that plural marriage was at one time was ordained of God and practiced by his holiest of Prophets and Patriarchs. If you do, then you are not accepting the Bible to literal. Sorry, but you can‘t pick and choose which teachings you’ll accept to fit your theology.

Brother, please listen to what you just said. Do you know that you‘re not the first to reject God’s living Prophet? Do you know that many of those who rejected God’s Prophets used the same excuse that you use – that they didn’t need or believe in Prophets, that they could figure it out on their own…

Please see the following for examples. It is always better to learn from others’ mistakes rather than your own.

      1 Kgs. 19:10 (Rom. 11:3); 2 Kgs. 17:14; 2 Chr. 24:21; 2 Chr. 36:16; Isa. 30:10; Jer. 1:19; Jer. 11:19 (Jer. 18:18); Jer. 11:21; Jer. 12:6; Jer. 26:8; Jer. 37:15; Jer. 44:5; Ezek. 20:49; Matt. 5:12 (Luke 6:23); Matt. 10:41; Matt. 13:57 (Mark 6:4; Luke 4:24; John 4:44); Matt. 21:35; Matt. 23:31; Matt. 23:37 (Luke 13:34); Luke 11:50; Luke 13:33; Luke 16:31; Acts 7:52; 1 Thes. 2:15; Heb. 11:37; Rev. 16:6.

Of course, we all must receive personal revelations in our lives through prayer and the Comforter. However, from the beginning of time, it is irrefutable that the Lord used living Prophets to lead the Church (and the world) as a whole. Amos 3:7 – “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”

      Have a great weekend!
