Beck Reveals Presidential ‘Dream Team:’ West, Bachmann, Paul and…Beck?

Is Glenn Beck getting ready to run for president? That was at least the joke on radio today.

While on the road this morning, Beck took some time to reveal who would be on his presidential “dream team” ticket come 2012. Sure, he’s revealed his love for Michele Bachmann before — who made his list — but today he revealed who he thought would best serve the country as president: Rep. Allen West.

Beck‘s picks came after a discussion about Donald Trump’s chances at becoming the GOP nominee and then president. According to Beck, they’re not good. After talking about Rick Santorum’s qualifications (who Beck likes and respects) he revealed his “dream team:” West as president, Bachmann as vice president, and (mentioned in the second clip) Ron Paul as treasury secretary. Listen to him defend his picks below:

Bonus clip

Alert: Glenn Beck considers running for president

Ok, not so much. But that may be the headline you could see after people heard what else Beck had to say on radio today. Basically, he speculated about his own presidential plans. He pointed out that considering the events of late (i.e. him transitioning from his daily Fox show) and Sarah Palin’s refusal to not name him as a running mate (said very facetiously), could it be that he is looking to throw his hat in the ring?

I agree; I like West. I was a a former GI and I would rather have a West then a Powell any ol’ day. We need folk who will do what they say they would do and live with the consequences of such decisions. We need folk that respect the troops and protect them despite the consequences. We need folk who are fiscally conservative (which of course an obvious qualification). West is the man for the job. Not sure he will run now though or Cristie either. Too bad for us. :)

      Agree, Matabravia.
Also, we must remember what happened in Kenya when Obama’s cousin,
Odinga, lost the election (same time as Vermont primary, Jan ‘08).

Obama stepped in and a “Unity Government” was created.
(Of course, this was after Christians were slaughtered with machetes,
and Christian churches were burned with worshipers locked inside.)

My, the stories Obama could tell. News at that time revealed
Obama was in constant telephone contact with Cousin Odinga.)

His Cousin Odinga now serves as ?Co-President
and a new Constitution was drafted favoring Shariah Law

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Col. West used unusual tactics to extract information from an Iraqi insurgent disguised as a policeman. It saved lives. He also immediately advised his commanding officer of the transgression and accepted responsibility for his actions. You sir are a fool for not researching what happened and why. You just accepted the MSM characterization of a true hero as “war criminal”. Do a youtube search on col.west. watch any amount you choose and then tell me about his status as a war criminal. The assertions that the man Colonel West terrorized was an insurgent and that information he gave up saved lives are both unproven. No real evidence was ever found. I guess that’s why interrogations are supposed to be conducted by people who are trained to sort useful information from nonsense. I don’t know why my original post was deleted. All I said was that Colonel West was a dirtbag war criminal and that decent people would never vote for him. Whether you agree or not, there are a lot of people who feel that both of those statements are perfectly true.

If Allen West managed to win the Republican nomination ( doubtful ) his only hope of winning would be to split the African-American vote . Do you think he could do that ? The Republicans should run Ron Paul as president and Eric Canter as vice president. Ron Paul could garner votes from independents and libertarians and Eric Canter could bring along some Jewish voters. That seems more relistic than a West-Bachmann ticket.

Like Sarah, Newt and Donald, Glenn is showman enough to know that simply talking about the presidency is extremely profitable for a very long time, especially if he does not run. It will add to his resume, increase his book sales and speaker fees. he will also gain TV talk show Gravitas. Not to mention exploratory funds he will get to keep.

Governors are Oath Takers. Governors make your safe and keep your life free as possible. The good ones do anyway. TV Talkers are professional fund raisers on behalf of more fund raising for themselves, period.

I will have to say however that the only way this kind of ticket would ever happen would be the tea party express would have to be in overdrive. The GOP as well as the DEMS would never support a ticket as such. The GOP wants a mild mannered white guy whom they can control. The DEMS want the devil (they just don’t know it).

Now this can be viewed many ways, by a lot of people. But before people start jabbering about “Media Matters” and the other “bad” reasons, perhaps we should watch the Conneticut senatorial races. Joe Liberman has announced that he will not run in 2012, and as of now there seems to be no other candidate running, add to that the fact that Glenn Beck lives in New Cannan and Fox News has a strict policy that no one with a show or a contributor of any show can, while employed by Fox News, run for public office.
The election in Ct. is in 2012 and voted on the same ticket as the Presidential election.

Agreed. RP would be an excellent choice for Treasury Sec. The reason Glenn doesn’t give RP any credit is because RP has close to zero chance of winning in the general election. He’s smart as heck and sticks to his principles, but voters don‘t think he’s leadership material. So the best we can do is to put someone that could win against Obama (which West can do) and then convince them appoint RP to his Cabinet.

I miss Glenn, I am so angry at Fox for caving into the Soros funded radicals and the color of Change organization, It shows how the media is being forced into a mold.by groups that do not give one whit for USA principles. I think Beck’s choice of Allen West and Michelle Bachman, shows real promise of a team that would be a threat to the Democrats. Former military officer West, and business owner Bachman, are not out to destroy this country, which seems to be the agenda of the present administration and its radical appointees. I have been around for a long while, and I have never seen such division and under handiness in all those years. Obama, promised to bring us together, however he has done everything but. He has been the biggest disappointment with his unusual actions of slamming the country that elected him. It is time for a Real Change and Hope. Please think and act wisely when voting in 2012. America needs and deserves good strong, patriotic leaders to bring us out of the morass that Obama is leading America into.
