Beck Reveals Why We‘re Living in ’The Most Dangerous & Most Exciting Era of Our Lifetime’

Beck Delivers Speech on Media FutureRecently, Glenn Beck spoke to a group of media minds about how he views the industry and where he thinks it’s headed. He didn’t disappoint.

Our friends over at Business Insider were there to capture it all, and they have just published an excerpt from the talk. Here’s how they describe it:

The prime example might be the way Beck opens the clip: “I believe this is the most dangerous and most exciting era of our lifetime. This is going to be a period of time in the history of the world that people will study for decades.”

Why? Let’s let Beck explain. But a few hints: it includes the history of the internet, the Soviet Union, and of course some drawings on the chalkboard.

    Anyone but Obummer in 2012! I will vote for whichever candidate is chosen to appose Oblamer, whoever that may be. If Ron Paul is the declared candidate then that is who gets my vote, if it is any of the others then they will get my vote. More important than having a certain (R) in the highest office is having a certain (D) out of that office!!!……. If Ron Paul supporters threaten to not vote, or vote for Obumbler to spite their fellow Americans because they did not get their candidate, then Ron Paul and his supporters will be etched in the history books as the reason why America was subjected to 4 more years of Obutthead and the eventual destruction of our nation. How about we all go out and support 100% our choice for president, and not talk down anyone but Obraindead. We have a long process ahead of us, it‘s anyone’s game. It does not end after Iowa, don’t we have 49 more states after that?….or is it 56? (according to Obonehead) everyone who cares about the Constitution and this country agrees 110% that Obusinesskiller must be defeated! So let’s unite against our common enemy (OBAMA) and get our friends and families interested in this election, let’s get behind our perspective candidates and help them fight against O-bow-to-our-enemies, and when the process comes down to “The One” let’s all agree to get behind them completely no matter who that is.       My Gosh everyone….Stop saying Anyone but OBAMA!!! We’ve made a grave mistake pinning this on Obama and not progressivism. Obama is just the tip of the Ice Berg, the visible part of the machine running under him. You think electing a different type of progressive will fix things? You think the president will change things? No one is talking about taking Congress, just the white house. Progressivism is everywhere!!! GOP and DEM! This is what Glenn has been trying to say.       This is the biggest edge that the democrats have on republicans. They will follow the leader into the hubs of hell without question and repeat him word for word like they have no brain at all (Zombies). Republicans are more of a separate mind and thinking but of a general direction. That alone is a disadvantage at the polls and it should sound like something you have just described with Paul supporters.

      I’m 100% Ron Paul, I’ll write his name in, vote 3rd party, you name it. We need a president with his ideals, his true commitment to our Constitution, to America. The rest of the GOP field are just political GLOBS much like the democratic party. Ron’s a non-interventionist, isolationist is just a scare tactic used to scare voters away.       I think most of us will be doing the same thing. Voting for anybody except Obama. That is except for the Ron Paul crowd. They insist they will PUNISH the GOP if Ron Paul doesn’t get the nomination. And…….its because of those kind of supporters…..>Ron Paul will not get the nomination.
      He’ll probably run with Gary Johnson on the Libertarian ticket. The ticket that will draw about 5% of the vote from the GOP……not any from the Socialists. Handing Obama another term in office and the demise of the USA.

      I agree that Obama has to go! But, I stop short of ‘anyone but Obama’! Obama is nothing but a puppet in a much larger game. See “Lucky Bastard”, by Charles McCarry. The book was written about Clinton, but it applies ever so well to Obama! Where did this guy come from? What are his accomplishments? Who are his backers? (Both visible, and the more sinister invisible!) He came out of nowhere–and THAT was no accident! No one knows him, and THAT is no accident! His accomplishments are ephemeral, and THAT is no accident! Ii simply is not plausible that he ‘did it himself’! If he didn’t do it himself, who is pulling the strings? I am really unhappy with the guy, but I don’t want to find ourselves jumping into even greater unknows! Beware the dark horse candidate that might appear at the last minute, as the Republican candidates implode (I cannot believe that only two managed to make the registration hurdles for the Virginia primary! Either everybody was so distracted by all the debates and national fluster, or Virginia is viewed as ‘doesn’t matter’! Somehow, I doubt the latter!) Have we gotten so complex in our election process that only a well-oiled machine can work it? Something just isn’t right!

      OBAMA is NOT the cancer. He is merely a symptom of the cancer. Again, I ask, is Ron Paul the answer to ending cancer? No. Is Newt? No. Is Romney? No. Is anyone? No. We are the answer- because we are simultaneously the cancer. It was us that allowed the entitlement state to be built. We are the ones that said pensions would be okay, that medicare and medicaid for seniors was fine, and that SS is okay as long as we get what we put into it. We were so ready to turn the other way while our government spent money as long as we benefited. The Cancer is progressivism, NOT OBAMA. Again, you think a lesser of two evils is a better choice? If we have cancer and are bleeding from the skin and experiencing a headache, you say, let’s stop the bleeding, and keep the headache. Sounds logical right? But then we forget we have cancer and die anyway… It’s so obvious, yet conservatives won’t admit it. Did things get better under Bush? Did the Government magically shrink, or regulations go down or our debt reduce? NO!!!! A thousand times NO!!! Yet, he was the conservative we all asked for. HE WAS PROGRESSIVE. Just like Obama, just progressive lite, still progressive. Sill heading down the path of dying from cancer. Yet what got blamed? Progressivism or Capitalism? CAPITALISM! Do you see a pattern here? Elect Newt, Romney, Ron and conservatism gets blamed when it was their progressive policies that ruined us. Then we get someone worse than Obama in the long run.

      Ron Paul supporters are not fans of Obama…

      I really wish Ron Paul was more sane on certain issues, because I *really really like* the fact that he’s the only candidate that wants to actually follow the Constitution. We completely ignore certain bits, like Congress needing to pass a Declaration of War, these days.

      Also, he’s against the NDAA and SOPA, which are the biggest threats to our liberties these days… and the media (Fox included!) are refusing to even mention the massive controversy over them! (If you don’t know about NDAA and SOPA/PROTECT-IP, please look them up.)

      Ok, let’s all relax. We don’t have a Republican candidate yet. Whoever it is won’t be perfect, but they will get our economy going and we will have to deal with any baggage they carry. We know we don’t want Obama, who will destroy the economy further and he will put in place a shadow totalitarian-style government using Czars. He will also weaken us further internationally. I believe in the 3 P’s (Prior Planning Pays), but its too soon to react to Ron Paul as our candidate as there is a long way to go in the selection process. [As a side note, if you don't know who Ann Rand is then read "Atlas Shrugged." It is a long book and very wordy, but at least you'll understand who John Galt is and why he did what he did.]

Sura 3 verse 28 (their booki) introduces taqiyya which says that no Muslim can be friends with the infidel except for the purpose of deception and only with the intent to covert, subdue or destroy him. Get rid of O’bama and replace him with anyone, a coke can or even a Republikrat! That’s what must be done to save our precious country and we must stay strong during another 100 elections, pass this down to your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!       It must be a morale Christian, God fearing and believing Constitutionalists, only. Elite republicans have been the problem all along. Mitt, Newt, Perry and Huntsman are associated in some way with the NWO.
      If we do the same old thing of sheep following we are going to get the same on steroids. Vetting must be done and I am coming up with Santorem as a clean choice so far. Bauchman I love, but America doesn’t seem to be ready for a women in these times ahead. My heart is still with Palin, she was the fighter I needed. Paul, I am looking into, but foreign affairs dispute is big. It looks like it is up to Americans to vet and decide, we can’t have perfect but we can unite. We must unite or we will fall.

    This era will only be remembered positively if we realize that ratifying the constitution, i.e., creating an absolute monopoly of power, a State controlling and living off We the People, was a mistake and actually do something about it!     My civilian expertise in government has prompted this response and suggestion to the debt burden of the USA.

    All parties involved must address the reduction of the SPENDING.

    To start: reduce all salaries of all personnel receiving revenues from federal taxes, namely:
    25% reduction for all politicians and those appointed by them
    20 % reduction for all federal employees
    15 % reduction for all military personnel
    10 % reduction for all retired military personnel
    15% reduction for all gov’t programs that are buying stuff

    THAT would be a good start, the government belongs to the people – the people and the taxes do not belong to the big government.

    In my case, thankfully, I have had a 20% salary reduction, my 401k is spent, we have enough cash flow to stay above default, we have food and water.

    It is time for the Federal Gov’t to look like it is part of the citizens and economy of the USA..

      I can agree to most of what you want, except the reduction in military pay. The E-1′s – E-4′s are paid below or at the poverty line, and E-5 is a bit above. We can’t lower that. Retirees are on a fixed income, and with inflation any overpayment they might be getting now will be taken care of in the years to come. We need to change the retirement rules for government employees. If you served in the military and retired then moved to a regular government job you only have to work one day to get retirement benefits. Senators and congressmen that serve even one term get to have full congressional retirement on top of their military retirement. That is what needs to change.

      I could never buy that Ezekiel 38 and 39 were pretribulaiton Antichrist battles. The Bible only mentions Gog and Magog in eschatalogical meanings in Ezekiel 38 and 39 and Revelation Ch. 20. In Revelation Ch. 20 the Antichrist has already been cast by Christ into the lake of fire, so who is Gog and Magog then if the Antichrist is gone? Does this mean that the Gog and Magog of Ezekiel 38 and 39 are different than the ones mentioned in Revelation? Also, note that both battles of the aforementioned Gog and Magog from both books end with a cataclysmic judgment from God above. Because of them only being mentioned in these two places and them ending the same I personally believe that Ezekiel 38 and 39 is giving the details of the final battle spoken in Revelation Ch. 20 after Christs millenial reign.

    Mr. Beck does not and for that matter never has “revealed’ anything which has not already been discussed and analysed many times by many peoples much smarter and much more knowledgeable than he will ever be. Thomas Freidman is perhaps the best example with his international best seller “The World Is Flat”

    The idea Mr. Beck is presenting was the hottest thing back in the early 90s. How do I know, we’ll that’s when I went to business school and that’s all the professors talked about. Call it what you will, decentralization, flat hierarchy, business to business, interpersonal networking, globalization, supply chaining, offshoring, outsourcing, insourcing, bottom-up organization etc.

    Given Mr. Beck’s past warnings and dire predictions about globalizaion, one world government, and a New World Order, it seems odd that he’s now essentially embracing this paradigm.

      Also, Glenn didn’t say he invented this theory, he mentions Darpa and Eisenhower, however he has the popularity, the personality and a media empire to get the message across to people in an easy to understand, entertaining way – unlike college courses.

      I agree, the world is changing and that means rough waters ahead. There are those of the old world trying to hang on to their power (media), and those who are taking advantage of the shift to lead it into the wrong direction (Obama).

      Stay awake and be prepared. That is what Beck is trying to help us do.

      First, I never suggested Mr. Beck claimed this idea as his own. It’s the Blaze headline which stated that he “Revealed” why we are living in a dangerous era. My point was that we’ve been living in this “dangerous era” for 20 years already.

      Second, if you go to the Business Insider site, they are posting this video as their “interview with Mr. Beck”. So this video is presented in the context of a business forum and in the context of business, if you’re a CEO, a middle manager, an entrepreneurs or a small business owner, and you don’t have a business plan or strategy to flatten your organization or to take advantage of the opportunity to market your ideas to the whole world you will not be in business very long.

      Third, I never mentioned government or right vs. left. You can market widgets all over the world as well as ideas such as individual liberty, and free market democracy. Mr. Bush and his neocon cohorts certainly attempted the latter. Ironically, DARPA was the government agency whose communication infrastructure became the backbone of the modern internet empowering millions individuals to create global networks. So in that sense the US government and individuals had a common vision of the future.

    And Glenn has just stumbled across the reason why governments are deathly afraid of the internet. Suddenly, they are no longer in control of the information available to their people. Without the internet, the Tea Party would be a series of small, insignficant groups of freedom loving people WITH NO POWER. Today, the Tea Party is the best hope we have to free this country from socialism. The so-called main stream (marxist controlled) media is fighting an uphill battle against the majority of the country that DOESN’T NEED THEM ANY LONGER to get the daily news. The INDIVIDUAL can now go to reliable sources and make up his/her own mind instead of being spoon fed socialist pablum from the likes of Walter Conkite, or the like.

      It’s why the Democrats and Republicans are so divided (choosing sides) and it’s why everyone is divided into groups (evil collectivism). It’s why our rights are being stripped away. It’s why so many lawmakers ignore the Constitution.

      Glenn is right. It’s the age of the smallest minority — the individual.

      These politicians from both parties betrayed our trust, and violated the oath they took to defend the Constitution. It’s not about the left or right, it’s about our Bill of Rights. Without the Bill of Rights, there is no America. It is the Crown Jewel of our Constitution, and the high-water mark of Western Civilization.

    I never thought I’d be living in such times – with such usurpation by our elected officials and their disregard for the US Constitution. Where kids are taught what and how to “feel” vs learning skills for life. History repeating itself …is no wonder history is not being taught in schools. To see this great country sitting on the brink of Socialism is beyond scary. President Reagan slowed this “Socialist Bullet Train” down a bit. But every President since Reagan has sped it up. Are we to the point of “no return”?

      I often wonder about that as well. I once thought that any child could grow up to become president. Now, I know that politics is an evil game controlled by the banks (media) and military establishment (more money). They control both sides: Democrats and some Republicans, so it’s a losing game for the smallest minority — the individual.

      What is the chance that an honest politician (outside the “controlled game”) can get elected?

      @VECHORIK – I’m always leery of someone who looks at a politician as an infallible figure. Be careful not to build your whole life around Ron Paul. It almost sounds like a religious devotion.

      Yes, to try and bring about a one world religion, believe me I‘ve thought about this for some time and he’s not working on God’s behalf, it’s not the voice of the Holy Spirit he hears, but is a voice of a spirit. A religion where we can all find some common ground, where we will toss out the things we know to be true so that we can all get along and follow man’s way to peace (never going to happen) but close our eyes and allow a new world order with a new world religion. Be careful little ears what you hear.

      No doubt Glenn is sincere, but he is so mislead. This world won’t be here for decades, we are nearing the last days if not all ready in them, poor Glenn, he has no idea. He’s looking for a Mormon messiah to rule in the USA. Ya really think God is speaking is speaking to such idiocy?
