Why are you insulting a major religious figure of Islam by calling him the 12th putz? You know what they do to people that draw cartoons of religious figures in Islam? Context doesn’t matter to them.

You have a jew talking about Muslims so you know he’s lying. I wonder if he is part of the jewish cartel that has ruined the US. Open your eyes people the jews run the media and all the financial institutions. The whole Muslim thing is smoke and mirrors and Beck is a hypocrite. The Egyptians want the jews to stop controlling their country. You people better start doing your home work because Beck is in the media and he is controlled just like the rest of them that why he never tells you anything about these guys Chabad-Lubavitch.

By Tim Powers Goodmorning my fellow Americans, and welcome to the next next chapter in the fundamental changing of America. As the middle east is now on the verge of being completely over run by Muslim groups under the disguise of democracy, I just want to illustrate my veiw of what is happening and how it will effect us. As the news is now posting at an alarming rate through numorous outlets,it is very easy to become wrapped up in one particular story. But we must take a look at the big picture here. For many years now, there has been an influx of muslims coming to America. As I’m sure everyone of us has seen, you can no longer go to a gas station, motel,or convenient store with out seeing someone of middle eastern decent running it. It has been reported on numerous occasions that there are muslim training camps right here in the United States being operated right under Homeland security’s noses, such as Islamburg…just outside of Hancock,NY. Recently, a book was discovered in the Arizona desert which was printed in IRAN,giving praise to many suicide bombers that have sacrificed thenselves for allah. We currently have muslims inbedded in our military..IE…Nidal Hassan..(fort hood terrorist) as well as in the department of homeland security. Do the research,Napolitano appointed two muslims to her staff. Now think about this for a second…two years ago,we were worried about a swine flu epidemic originating in Mexico…two weeks after Obama was there. Coincidence? I think not. One year ago,we had a major castastrophe at a coal mine and the BP gulf oil spill during the height of the global warming debate. Coincidence? I think not. Obama issued moratoriums on OUR offshore oil drilling against a federal judges order while he gave BILLIONS of American tax payer money to Brazil for oil exploration. The big winner in the Brazil oil deal? George Soros and CHINA…the American people will receive NOTHING for their investment. Coincidence? I think NOT. Now lets look at the unrest in Egypt. Hosni Mumbarack, althoulgh not the poster child for leadership, has maintained stability in Egypt and a peaceful relationship with Israel. Now there is civil unrest there as well as other middle eastern countries and the Obama regime has decided to take the side of democracy..(just like the one in IRAN) Information has been released that Napolitano had met with the muslim brotherhood back in January of 2010 to discuss the overthrow of the Mumbarack regime. These claims are supported by recently leaked state department documents thanks to wikileaks and the UK telegraph…do the research. If Egypt falls into the hands of the muslim brotherhood, here is what we can expect…the suez canal and the strait of hormuz will be shut down immediately thus creating an oil shortage of epic proportions.(remember now,we are not allowed to drill our own oil) This will send energy prices through the roof world wide, cause the price of food and other commodities to rise to epic proportions which I fear will lead to an entire economic melt-down. Once the US has been crippled by this then I fear that the muslim take-over will begin.(remember the mention of the influx of muslims into the US? the ones that own the stores, gas stations, and motels?)Well there you have it. These people are very patient, very well funded, and ready to die for mohamed. This master plan has been set up for a very long time with alot of help from government officials and left wing radicals. They all share a common cause…the systematic distruction and take-over of the western world. You can choose to heed my warning and do the research,or do nothing and let it happen. My fellow Americans, may God bless you and your families and may he keep you safe. Remember,WATCH THE OTHER HAND. Comments welcome

Y’all are so racist. Yes you can be racist about religions too. You wonder why you’re ignored buy mainstream media (of which Glenn participates btw)? Because you believe things that don’t make logical sense, and you feel safe when people say strong-sounding things, but in reality, they haven’t thought it through, and you‘re just accepting what they’ve said because they’re in a position of authority, and they’re wearing a tie to boot.

Wake up Christians. Wipe this Conspiracy theory musk off yourselves and start acting like valuable members of an intellectual community. Besides, I doubt God cares much about politics.

Good place to start? Fact check your facts. If you have a pair of balls, and are willing to step up and be a man, read the NY Times, Wall Street journal, Al Jazeera, BBC, Le Monde, the Economist. Stop being insanely irrational and cherry picking your sources. However you attack ‘the left’ is exactly how you are. Shelftered, unable to see facts, cherry picking your sources, ignoring evidence. You’re describing yourselves. Please.

You’re making the rest of us Christians look like idiots.

Our self absorbed, over educated, elitist government better get some street smarts in a hurry. Now, when he talks about communism and tyranny I know he is right on the spot because I have lived through it and know their system very well.
Because of the above I have a question for you, and the other readers, Glenn included. The question is this:
Why are we, people on the right, so concerned about what happens in Israel, when most of the Jews in this country vote consistently with the left? Personally I do not have anything against them ( I do not know that many ) but it seems to me that they love to buy the rope that they are going to be hanged with.

Gulfstream.41…In Genesis when Adam and Eve had their first children, Eve was pregnant with twins; one the son of Adam and one the son of the serpent….the devil. When Caine was cast out after killing Able, he went to the land of Nod and their started a family. His children, called Kennites, came forward in time as Hebrews. These sons of the devil, have been raising hell and trying to cover up their heritage, since those times. These were the “Jews” that yelled ‘crucify him’, when Pilate wondered what to do with Jesus. So, you see, not all Jews ARE Jews.

      P8triot,
It’s not that they are getting anything wrong, It’s that they are not actually saying anything! They are shading in countries with a a piece of chalk and saying “lost,“ which is such a gross oversimplification of international politics that the word ”oversimplification” is too complex to adequately describe it. You can’t actually have a logical argument if your premises make no sense.

Let’s play a game. I think that the Italians are trying to establish a new Roman empire, with Silvio Berlusconi as the emperor. You don’t agree with me? How about I whip out this map of Europe. Now, how many countries here have ceded their sovereignty to the European Union, of which Italy is a member? France, lost; Spain;lost; Portugal, lost; Britain, lost; the Balkans, lost; Greece, lost. Oh, but Berlusconi isn’t satisfied with just the old Roman territories! He is expanding into German (lost) Poland (lost), and all the rest of Eastern Europe. Clearly Italy is out to conquer the world! Why is no one paying attention to this horrifying trend!

Now, can you disprove my logic there?

      Bullwinkle,
I’ve done plenty of research into Islam. Let me share with you just a few of my findings:
      1) There is no one monolithic Islam–just as in most other religions, there are a variety of interpretations of the Koran and its teachings.
      2) The unfortunate reality is that many Muslims in the world live under autocratic governments, many of which enforce a violent fundamentalism as a way to keep their populations in check.

That is just a taste. Let me guess–your “research” conflicts with these obvious facts?

No, just the fact that you seem to only believe what you want to about Islam. Do you really think the Muslim Brotherhood, who are poised to take over in Egypt, are moderate? It matters not whether they represent any majority, they intend to impose their view on all. They also have a dream of the Caliphate, whatever they may call it. Their brand of Islam is the one that will prevail because those who supposedly oppose it are silent, either through justified fear or because they agree. It is these so-called moderates who don’t follow the call to jihad, though they will not oppose it openly.

The Sunnis and Shiites will happily unite to destroy the common enemy. That would be the Great and Little Satan. I fear your views on Islam are based on what you want to be not what really is.

      Bullwinkle,
Your post is the typical mix of fairly minor facts and outrageous assumptions.
      1) The Muslim Brotherhood will most likely have a role in the new Egyptian government, but not even the expert commentators at this point can predict the extent of that role. Your assumption that a Muslim Brotherhood takeover flies in the face of tons of analysis by people who know far more than you or I about the situation on the ground.
      2) The Caliphate itself as a political idea has seen any number of different forms. For the last 500 years until the mid-twentieth century, the Caliphate was supposedly the Ottoman Empire, which did not always have such a great relationship with its subject peoples. While Muslim nations have certaintly worked together at times, there is NOTHING to suggest that suddenly each country will simply leave behind it’s national borders and form some kind of superstate. This has never actually happened, so in this case history is against you here (although if you have any examples, I would eb willing to consider them).
      3) There is no reason to think that the Muslim Brotherhood’s “brand” of Islam will necessarily prevail–you are witnessing right now how Muslims of all different stripes refuse to be silent–or did you not hear about the whole Egypt thing?

You make claims to logic, but your assumptions are based on nothing at all. Listen to someone other than Beck for a while, and you may notice how narrow his view really is.

It really doesn‘t matter if it’s the Islamic Brotherhood or another of the fanatical factions of Islam. It will be a group like that. The so-called moderates are by nature unwilling to take the radical steps to gain power. Check back in a month or so and we’ll see how it all worked out.

“Yes. God was really on the ball in Germany in the 1940s too.”

And yet, here we are with Israel now a nation again. A fairly powerful one at that though they fall far short of their former glory.

Israel is still being punished by God, they are still dispersed. From the Babylonian captivity they were never restored, even to this day. But God has lined things up, the Church Age will eventually end here and Daniel’s seventieth seven will take place…Then, and only then, will the covenant with Israel be fulfilled.

But I think you realize all this and just couldn’t resist the temptation of getting in a cheap shot albeit an ill-informed one. The world will be against Israel in the end…and Israel will stand. Everyone seems to fear this, even the good Christians. I am looking forward to it, I hope it happens in my lifetime. Come Lord Jesus!

The author, Orson Scott Card (who describes himself as a moderate liberal), in his “Ender’s Shadow” series several years ago wrote extensively about a new Caliphate in the mid-East. It was a central element of his storyline. These ideas of an emerging Caliphate are not new, but everyone seems to dismiss it as an impossibility. At this point I think it‘s almost a foregone conclusion that this is the direction they’re trying to go.

Suppose Egypt were to become a radical Islamic theocracy like Iran; would Egypt and Iran then cooperate, as suggested, to take down America’s clients Israel, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, or would they become rivals for possession of holy places like Jerusalem, Mecca/Medina and Karbala?

For there to be a Caliphate, properly speaking, there needs to be a “Caliph,“ an individual ”Successor” (the literal meaning of the term “Caliph”) to the Prophet Muhammad in his capacity as military commander and state-builder, but it is precisely over the identity of the legitimate line of Caliphs that Sunni Egypt and Shiite Iran ultimately disagree:

Shiites believe it is the line of Ali, leading ultimately to the “hidden” 12th Imam, or maybe the 7th, here there is sharp disagreement even among Shiites. Sunnites reject the Shiite claims; for them, there was a legitimate Caliph as late as 1920, when the British forced the last Turkish Sultan to give up the title.

Even if the entire Middle East, generously defined as everything from Morocco to Pakistan, were to fall to Islamic radicalism, it’s highly doubtful that it would constitute a single state, probably something more like a “bloc,” but still a geopolitical entity on the same scale as the US, the EU or China. Like the old Soviet bloc, it could probably be dealt with short of Armageddon, unless of course that is what we want.

The term“califate” does not cover the more suble and occult term “mahdi”. The mahdi is the spiritual embodiment of the ideal jihadist and is a warrior by rite. The installation of the 12th Imam is to the mahdi as Revelation’s false prophet is to the antiChrist, .the spiritual essence and driving force behind “One world government.” Who causes the 12th Imam(calife) to force the worship of allah. Bullwinkle, have you done any research into how Islam understood the world long before the US or the State of Israel even existed?

The general idea is that both the Jewish Prophets and Jesus taught the Koran, but that it was corrupted by wicked men, until its restoration, purification and finalization by Muhammad.

Still, the Prophets and Jesus are regarded as having been inspired by the same God who later inspired Muhammad.

They may regard us as evil, and we may regard them as evil–but that’s not the essence of any of the 3 religions, and all regard the standard of evil as having been laid down by the same God.

Also remember there are as many schools of Koranic interpretation and Sharia Law as there are Baskin-Robbins flavors; the ones inciting bloody jihad have been in the ascendant in some eras of Islamic history, in some regions, but never universally.

How does it help Israel, or America, or anyone to revile Muslims, all Muslims, as literally followers of a devil cult?

As usual, you want things to be as you think they should be not as they are. Do you think the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qeda, etal. would agree with you that Allah and the God of the Bible are the same? No, their god commands them to kill the infidels.

Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate. Do the Muslims believe that? Much as you would like this to be some kind of misunderstanding it is exactly the opposite. Both real Muslims and real Christians know that there is a vast difference. It‘s those who don’t understand the two that want them to be the same.

Max: no further comment except to second PubliusPencilMan.

      Bullwinkle: there’s hope for you!

“Their” God, as you call Him, commands them, in order of preference, to convert, subjugate or–as a last resort–kill the infidels. Most Muslims at most periods of history have preferred the first, but as you say, the MB goes for subjugation and Al Qaeda for killing. He is regarded by them as what we would call “the God of Abraham,” but the Abraham story early on is given twists which a Biblically-based religion could not accept, e.g., that Abraham was the founder of Mecca, and that his son Ishmael, not his son Isaac, was the inheritor of the promises made by God to Abraham. “Allah” is simply the Arabic word for a god, any god, and what Muhammad seems to have done was to elevate the “allah” of Mecca, originally perhaps a moon-god, as Yahweh may originally have been a volcano-god, to a place of absolute supremacy over the universe. And–here’s the key point–at the same time he ingeniously declared that this Allah was in fact the Yahweh of the Jews and the Christians.

No wonder he was pissed when most Jews and Christians did not see it his way! But most Muslims see it his way even today. Vis-a-vis Judaism, theirs is an “Ishmaelism,” if you like. Vis-a-vis Christianity, Islam rejects the Christian idea of original sin, which makes it necessary for God to offer an unmerited “salvation” through Jesus Christ, and instead declares we are born as moral blank slates, so that a God is keeping a continuous tally. You’d better pray that your pluses exceed your minuses when Judgement Day comes, and meanwhile follow Sharia Law–which has more schools of jurisprudence than you can shake a scimitar at.

You’re right, there are differences, vast differences, and Christianity and Islam are not at all the same, though I think their distance is not much greater than that between Judaism and Christianity, or any of the three and Mormonism. Same God–sorry you [insert your chosen term of abuse] misunderstand Him.

Hopes this helps you understand what “Islam” is and is not.

To call Beck’s understanding of international politics simplistic is truly an insult to the word “simple.” Now, all of you claim to be thinking people: what freedom-loving American would pronounce millions of people attempting to overthrow the oppression of a tyrannical government “lost”? Apparently, according to Beck’s worldview, those who strive for democracy as lost–making most of those those who live under autocratic governments… what?… “found”? Is that the straightshooting that Beck is talking about?

What really confuses me is that so many of you people have such hostility towards the President for allegedly being to patronizing, yet you laud Beck for dumbing down these complicated problems so far that he is not really saying anything at all.

And yet so many of you are happy to pronounce Beck right. But what exactly is he right about? All he is doing is shading in a bunch of countries with the side of a piece of chalk and saying the word “lost.” Do you really think that this is an adequate understanding of the internal politics of these countries, the motivations of the rioters, or the relationship these countries have with each other? Frankly, if you think things are so simple, and if you refuse to think any farther, then you are an idiot.

Honestly, it‘s just sad that you couldn’t muster just a bit more brainpower there, and quit the reflexible babble about the Left as if you were some parrot on Beck’s shoulder. Just please, leave the conversation to people who want to think about things.

PUBLIUSPENCILMAN…..For the first time,, we have something to agree on! Yes there IS hostility on this site for nearly anything “Obama”. Most of us don’t even give Obama credit when Glenn does! That includes myself. I think he is a Godless jerk. I don’t believe for one moment that he is looking out for us. I believe that his presidency marks the end of all that was good and righteous about the U.S.A.. He has foisted an illusion upon the world that he is benevolent. All the old chicago “Dons” worked the same way. His administration has been an example of Chicago politics, writ large.
Barack has the mind of a child and cannot deceive a real man/woman. Those of us who have cultivated discernment, have known what kind of a man he is, from the beginning.
We are done with him and his ways, no matter if he unites the world, or nukes china….he’s still a Godless jerk.

PUBLIUSPENCIL…..No what you don’t get is the fact that most of us here are anti-obama and anti-left. That’s all. I figure that if you believe it’s good, I KNOW it’s not good. If Obama wants it… I DON”T. I won’t try to judge your ideas or your rhetoric, I REJECT your reasoning out of hand, and to me the argument is no longer extant! Obama has shown us what he is, and we don’t like it, support it, or recognize it as AMERICAN. In the near future there will be no record that you or barack ever lived on earth. Only truth will go forward from here….even if it kills us!!!

FOX contributer Bill Kristol doesn‘t think much of Glenn’s theory. He writes in part,” But hysteria is not a sign of health. When Glenn Beck rants about the caliphate taking over the Middle East from Morocco to the Philippines, and lists (invents?) the connections between caliphate-promoters and the American left, he brings to mind no one so much as Robert Welch and the John Birch Society. He’s marginalizing himself, just as his predecessors did back in the early 1960s.”

I guess that makes him a liberal Muslim lover. Perhaps he is in on the conspiracy and trying to cover it up.

The Left and Radical Islam walk hand in hand at every progressive event, rally, protest, or gathering I’ve ever had the misfortune of being at.
I don’t need Beck showing them in their own words in video clip after video clip together in solidarity to convince me. I have seen this right in front of me since at least 1985 when I infiltrated progressive anti-American demonstrations in Bayfront Park in Miami to take recon pictures for an employer that will remain un-named.
Sorry, lefties, if you don’t like it, turn on those in your own community who side with the radical Islamic merchants of death.

      Max Jones,
I think you might just need to work on your reading comprehension skills–you have gone and confused me with the President. I am not Obama, nor do I agree with everything he says. I am a thinking and reasoning person, which is I guess more than I can say for you.

All one has to do is read the founding documents of the Muslim Brotherhood like Beck did. Also their 100 year plan to take over America was entered into evidence in the Holy Land Foundation trial. The Koran sets the world into Dar al Harb (house of war) and Dar al Islam (house of Islam). Muslims are commanded to fight the infidel until they are “subdued” with second class status (dhimmis) and pay tribute or convert to Islam. Our first war in 1803 was against the Barbary Pirates because Thomas Jefferson refused to pay tribute to them. What’s so hard to understand.

PUBLIUSPENCIL…..No I have not confused you with obama, and I don’t care if you disagree with him or not. I can tell you are not ‘in very deep’, and you can only run “luke warm” no matter what the subject is
Even though you are only luke warm, you come on like you really have passion behind your P.O.V.. I don’t believe it. You are up to your ankles in the issues, but the water is much much deeper than that. When you get deep enough to realize that you are feeling the swiftness of the current and strength of the current, and its pull on your soul, then you will find passion and committment.
Then you will turn to your true master and commander, for further instructions……..

Almost every generation of Americans has had to step up – cross the line in the sand – and risk life, limb, property and everything else – to defend this noble experiment of ours. My great-grandfathers did it as part of the Texas Cavalry during the political and social unrest of the 1860′s; my grandfather did it with the 1st Infantry Division in Belgium in WWI; my Dad did it with the OSS in Belgilum and later with Patton’s Army in the march through Germany during WWII; my Uncle gave his life doing it in Korea in the 50′s; my brother gave his life doing it in Vietnam; I did it in Vietnam, Panama, and Desert Storm. My family is not unique. The country is fulled with true Americans who are either directly involved or related to those directly involved in “doing it” today. God bless them all. HOWEVER, the time may come when all of us who “frankly DO give a damm” to do it here in our own back yards. It behooves us to make sure that WE ARE ON GOD’S SIDE WHEN WE ARE DOING IT. Better yet, pray that enough people wake up in time to make these sacrifices a non issue.

      @NuclearIran

Yes, the division between Shi’a and Sunni is huge. However, bear in mind that the Ottoman Empire once ruled that whole area plus parts of North Africa and the Balkan Peninsula for over 300 years.

All it takes is an iron fist.

As an Army Specialist stationed in Berlin Germany in 1988 my Platoon Leader was giving a class on Russian tanks, aircraft and weapon identification and explained the caliphate as our biggest threat. Since he was a recent West Point Graduate, our military has been aware of this for some time. Glenn is not crazy for saying this, it has been around for some time.

War between Christians and Muslims is on the horizon. It‘s unavoidable because of Islam’s quest to rule the world under it’s Sharia Law. It’s going to be a bloody conflict like the world has never seen before. But, CHRISTIANS need not worry, we are going to WIN. I‘ve read the BOOK and know how it’s all going to turn out. Get yourself a Bible and read The Revelation of John so you can be assured that right will triumph in the last days. God will vindicate His Son, Jesus Christ, who will rein forever in the New Jerusalem.

The infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood of the USA is more extensive than you can imagine.

Frank Gaffney has warned at WND,

Gaffney, deputy assistant secretary of defense under Ronald Reagan, is founder and president of the Center for Security Policy and co-author of the new book “Shariah: The Threat to America.” He told WND that Islamism has infiltrated the American Conservative Union, the host of CPAC, in the person of Washington attorney and political activist Suhail Khan and a group called Muslims for America….
Gaffney also accuses another ACU board member, leading conservative political organizer Grover Norquist, of helping the Muslim Brotherhood spread its influence in the nation’s capital.

Read more: Now look who else is infiltrating CPAC http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=247341#ixzz1DI8sv5xP

@TASKMASTER78 If you can’t acknowledge that Lyndon B. Johnson was the MOST CORRUPT president we’ve ever had, and sent missiles to attack our OWN WARSHIP to give reason to start a fake war, and that the CIA set up the Shah in the first place because Iran’s FORMER, ahem… DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT.. ahem, I need to make sure you read that, was deposed by the CIA because he didn’t want to give us the oil deals we wanted. We deposed a perfectly sound president.

Our current problems with Iran are our Presidents’ fault (plural, more than one president). Also, no one on here bashes Bush, but he pretty much maxed out our international credibility. You better thank God that we have term limits because without Obama, we would never get ANYTHING done internationally.

@BYEHLIK I like your balls, but I very seriously doubt buy guns, food, HAM radios and other stuff would be much of a help in a nuclear holocaust, let alone a nuclear winter. Better to get out of the country being attacked in the first place. Go to South America, no nukes, no problem. Also, we in a constant nuclear standoff with everyone that has them. I DOUBT that anyone would make a move this century, if EVER. Even tiny little North Korea that spits bubbles and calls them nukes..

@STUCK_IN_CA He consults with a LOT of people daily. I won’t pander to guess who YOU consult with.. Turkey is a transitional country between Europe, Russia, and the Middle East. There’s a reason Islamists (note not Muslims, Islamists are a specific group of far right Muslims) HAVEN’T taken over everything. It‘s because people don’t want them to. Period. It’s gonna be alright, and if you believe the Bible, then you’d realize that God sets up EVERY ruler and asks us to respect them and try not to make their lives more difficult then they have to be.

@NUCLEARIRAN Yes lots of wars are fought in the middle east , but the Arab league has been a good force for peace. It’s stopped at least two would-be wars. Secondly, instability in the Middle East is not good for the US or the world economically. We want to see peace. We want to see people lead boring lives. That’s what it takes for investment, growth, and opportunity.

@BRUCE_ALMTY Statements MADE without evidence can be REFUTED without evidence. You’re argument is factually incorrect. I have now sufficiently refuted you’re statement. What do you have against education anyway?

@PUBLIUSPENCILMAN Well said. Beck just shaded in countries with a piece of chalk like a kid would. Maybe that’s what people like about Him. Who knows. But Beck makes too many claims to count without evidence and seemingly on ‘gut’, well we see where that got us with Bush. In two unwinnable wars, and a reputation that can only be described as d-bag of the world.

General statement, NOT EVERYONE WHO WRITES A BOOK IS AN EXPERT. For the love of God! ANYONE can put on a tie write a long book about anything. Books do not give you credibility. Sorry, I question everyone’s authority, and Beck seems wise in his own eyes, which (according to the Bible) makes Him seem like an arrogant fool.
