I see it as – Why are you questioning Obama‘s progressive motives but not Newt’s. He wants the Tea Party to look at why they are so accepting of Newt‘s and not Obama’s. we are at a crossroad like no other. We must all look at our souls – this country is entering a dark dark period and we must seek the light.
I pray for Glenn, I think he is having a “George Bailey” moment relative to Newt and Obama being the same. As a tea party person I am not particularly for Newt, but at least he supports Israel and 2nd admendment rights. Both will probably be gone with 4 more years like today.
That is my feeling as well about Glenn having a moment. Of the 4 real candidates left
1) Newt – Most Articulate and Best Communicator – Does have a spotty record towards government intervention
2) Romeny – Most Presidential looking and has the Money – Can you trust that he is not just the Third term of Bush 43
3) Bachmann – Love what she stands for .. not effective in Congress
4) Presidential looking and has the record to back it up – Lost his last election and has only been a Senator …
I have some a questions. Why is Michaele Bachman being agnored by the TEA party and the media? Is it because she is a woman? Is it because she is a Christian? Do people honestly believe that moral issues are not revelant? Are we selling out our principles and values once again, becuase we don’t want to be uncomfortable or do the hard work?
Moral issues are relevant, but freedom issues are more relevant and being usurped every day the progressive socialist Demoncraps are allowed to get their way!
Without a sound economy, America is toast. Ron Paul is the only candidate who will retun us to that, not Newt. Newt and Clinton are both CFR members, so they decided to ‘balance the budget’ together so Clinton can win a second term. That ‘shutting down the goverment’ garbage was just a stunt. There was still more spending and the debt continued to go up under the Clinton/Newt monarchy.
And don‘t forget that it was Newt’s Congress that passed Clinton’s NAFTA, Gatt and WTO deals along with the Community Reinvestment Act that led to the housing bubble. http://www.city-journal.org/html/10_1_the_trillion_dollar.html
I have been looking over the GOP candidates from numerous sources as time and resources allow. Lately I‘ve been listening to Newt’s speeches. The 21st Century Contract with America on c-span for example did not ring Progressive to me. Reducing the bureaucracy, returning the power back to the states, encouraging the citizens to take up the duties they have allowed the bureaucrats to take from them. We must reduce the size of government and grow the citizen similar to Restoring Love.
I just watched the conversation, and I find my blood boiling over what was said, the truth in it, and the lack of leadership of the 537 in DC, causing US to go in that direction!
I have said before, we are out of the horse and buggy generation, so we do not need 435 congresspersons. Send up to 200 home, and maybe we can see some of the bickering go away!
