Posted on October 30, 2010 at 11:26amI listened to this live and knew they were both joking. However, I didn‘t think Glenn’s comments about giving his kids cancer or the rape whistle were at all funny. There is nothing funny about either.
I have listened to Imus (except during his “vacations”) for almost 40 years. As we have aged, I have listened to the maturing of an independent cynical entertainer that has not ever been politically correct. That being said, his work with children with cancer has deep unselfish commitment that has taken an emotional toll on him and his family. In my humble opinion, Mr. Beck owes an apology. The comments were not only politically incorrect, they were distasteful.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 12:21pmI love Glenn Beck but when you have a fast mind and have not mastered discression you say things that are edgy and Glenn you have said things that are just wrong and you know it. You make me sad. The molestation of children will never be funny to me, maybe for some. Glenn stop this kind of damage. If we can laugh at something we find it easier to accept it.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 3:00pmTo those that thought this was somehow funny. If you ever had a child with cancer or was abused by a pedophile, perhaps you would look at it differently. Sick humor, is well, sick…and I don’t need my head examined….but perhaps folks that look at dark humor as acceptable may.
In fact if you cannot find any fault with Beck, maybe you are just as mindless as some on the left say you are. Pity, this was a decent place to write an opinion without personal attack..that’s gone and so am I.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 11:17amThank you to The Blaze for posting the segment . Great back and forth banter. Don Imus did a nice job of teeing up a few for Glenn to drive down the fairway. There are so many serious issues : the election, the GWOT , etc… that I sometimes forget to take a few minutes to laugh. I needed the laughter.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 10:52amI think Glenn is on to something here friends. I am a bit put off by him most of the time, the doom and gloom side of his show. I think he wants the best for America as we all do, but he depresses me too much to be a full time listener. To see a bit of humor, to hear the banter between him and Don was refreshing. Maybe he can take some of this to his show. Jon Stewart does this all the time with people he disagrees with. As a ex-morning zoo radio show host I know he can. Being that I am an “evil” liberal (smile) I think we all could have a better dialog about issues at hand. Humor is the best way to difuse differences in opinion. Thank you…..

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 4:35pmAbsolutely, probably 75% of this country has their heads either in the sand or up their you know what? A little dome and gloom (reality) is necessary to turn the lights on. Without a reality check it won’t be long before the dark pall of socialism blankets the entire continent of North America. For those of us who do not have our heads up our you know what humor is essential to staying sane. I listen to Glenn nearly every day, too and some too and sometimes I laugh so hard I cry. He seems to be well rounded spiritually and emotionally enjoying life to the fullest no matter what comes his way. Bravo for him. Make me laugh Glen and thanks for keeping me informed.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 11:12amThe main point is that Glenn is telling America to learn from the past, admit we have made mistakes and made great successes, then get going forward. Do not get tied up in the past mistakes, let the wounds finally heal and put the ghosts to rest.
THEN get going forward to make the country even greater – and in the hands of her people.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 10:40amImus is constantly making wise cracks about what he used to be (as a human being) and what he is now. The man has changed (for the better) in recent years. The rape whistle comment did not offend him, he laughed at it because he (unlike the far left Beck Haters) thought is was funny in an adolosent humor kind of way. If Imus had a flaming left wing liberal America hater running the kids camp, then I think “rape whistles” would (and should) be standard issue to every child there.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 10:27amYou Can’t Fix Stupid – but you Can Vote ‘Em Out !!!
Our great country was founded by and for the citizens of the thirteen colonies. It was designed to insure that a central government was controlled and limited by representatives of those citizens. It was given a limited amount of power, with many checks and balances, to secure the rights and freedoms for its citizens. They were making sure that an American Government would and could not become as Britian had. England enacted laws and taxes on their American subjects, but without allowing the colonies a say in their government. Ignoring the will of the people of America, they bullied and took away what limited rights they had and tried to force them to comply. Sound familiar? Yes, we don’t have to look far across the Atlantic at a despotic leader, we have only to look at the Oval Office in Washington, D. C. and to those whom we had entrusted the liberties of the people and the country. Our representatives, Senate and the House, are there to represent the will of the people. Instead, they have consistently lied to their constituents, both during campaigns and when in office. They have consistently robbed the American people, not only of their money, but also by stealing their liberties, little by little. The incumbent office holders allow themselves to be above the law, they allow themselves to steal by back-room corrupt deals and the like. They ignore the very people who put them in office, they even resort to passing laws, under cover of darkness. They hide laws and corrupt deals in the midst of thousand of pages of laws. This has always been a trick of unethical lawyers. Their mindset is to bog down any opposition by inudating them with mountains of paperwork. Then, they laugh and call the people stupid and ignorant, or worse! No doubt, I could go on and on. Their lack of character, morals and ethics makes them unfit to be employed anywhere, let alone entrusted with the security, freedom, and economic growth of this great country. They have taken your freedom to worship, especially targeting Christianity. They have tried to rewrite the American history, to further their agendas, just like the Moslems continue to do with Israel.
Soon after deciding what sort of Government America was to become, that very question was asked of Benjamin Franklin. In reply Franklin said, “A Republic….if we can keep it”. This is a question that should be upon the lips of all true American patriots. If we can’t or more correctly, if we won’t, then we don’t deserve it. The choice is up to us, the American people, and the answer should be and must be yes we will!
You’re probably asking how do we insure that we will keep this nation a free Republic. Oh, we voted for only those who promised no more taxes, no more spending, etc., etc. Of course they all were proven to be liars again (or should I have said they were just not quite forthcoming or perhaps they were a little disingenuious?). Then we did the “best of the two evils” choice. This was no different than the “Magician’s Choice” trick! We now know that there is no difference between Republicans and the Democrats when it comes to which is telling the truth. Neither has the best interest of America at heart, probably not even in mind! Their goal is simply to acquire power, money, more power and more money while doing and saying anything to remain in office.
So what is the answer? They don’t listen when the people, overwhelmingly, protest and tries to voice their opposition. So the American people need to get their UNDIVIDED attention. How? WE THE PEOPLE, must vote any and all incumbents out of office. It doesn’t matter if they are better than most. If they haven’t been part of the solution, then they are part of the problem. THEY MUST KNOW AND WE MUST LET THEM KNOW THAT GOVERNMENT WILL NO LONGER BE RUN BY ROUGUE LAWYERS AND OPPORTUNISTS, PROGRESSIVES (AKA SOCIALISTS), ETC. THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN MODERN-DAY CARPETBAGGERS OR WANNA-BE DICTATORS. THEY MUST BE EDUCATED TO THE FACT THAT THEY WILL BE VOTED OUT AGAIN AND AGAIN, UNTIL THEY LEARN THAT OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO RUN THEIR OWN VERISON OF CRIME, INC.
AND THOSE THAT ARE ELECTED TO OFFICE, BUT CONTINUE TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT WILL SOON LEARN THEY WILL HAVE ONLY ONE TERM IN OFFICE.
We, the people, need to lobby our newly elected representatives to enact new laws to insure ALL our freedoms, our security, etc. Enact laws that ethical or criminal behavior of representatives will be prosecuted swiftly and severly, with no possibility of any pardon…not by a state Governor nor by a President! Enact laws or amendments to limit a President to one term only, ensuring that any damage to our country will not be as damaging as is obvious with this Government. Further limit the terms of our Representatives, both in the Senate and the House. Imperative to limit the term of all Supreme Court Justices to no more than an eight year term and make an amendment that the justices can no longer re-interpret the Constitution, but uphold the laws as it was written and intended by the original framers.
So, the bottom line is this: unless the American people get the undivided attention of those in government…when you and your family members are homeless and hungry or at the very least jobless…remember, you have only yourselves to blame.
THE ONLY WAY TO INSURE THAT YOUR FUTURE REPRESENTATIVES WILL LISTEN TO ITS CONSTITUENTS IS VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS!!! FROM THAT POINT ON, EACH REPRESENTATIVE MUST KNOW WE WILL VOTE THEM OUT AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL WE HAVE RESPONSIBLE REPRESENTATIVES THAT UNDERSTAND THEY ARE THERE FOR THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE.
You Can’t Fix Stupid – but you Can Vote ‘Em Out !!!

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 11:25amYou know I find something of interest here based on some postings from the last couple of days at the Blaze. I have mentioned that as a resident of AZ I am a conservative libertarian and have considered the responses to this admission. One person even suggested I must have voted for the Democrats and for big government. Fine, they can believe what they wish, no problems.
No, I did not vote for big government, I am one who staunchly believes in the Constitution, and wants to ensure the personal liberties and freedoms of everyone equally in this land. This part is why I see myself as a conservative; the libertarian part is due to the betrayal I feel from almost ALL POLITICIANS over the years. The government needs to be reigned in and put into its place, the way it originally had been envisioned by the founders. Yes this will take time, and drive by the people of america who must hold the politicians accountable in all areas.
Glenn and Imus here are of different opinions and hold certain views in common. They joke and still get the point across about learning from the past and moving forward.
We all have the freedom to disagree with each other, and I respect that and will defend even my worst enemies when they are wronged and I can prove it. We need to learn this lesson from the both of Imus and Glenn – you can agree to disagree and still be civil about it. Even with their joking they have a great time.
The elections are Tuesday, and we need to start getting prepared for the Progressives firestorm that may be coming. Glenn is right that the most dangerous time is ahead for us, and we need to be ready, make the stand, and say that this great country will not go into the night without a fight.

Posted on October 30, 2010 at 2:48pmSeven, the Blaze is more and more becoming a tabloid blog. I have yet to see one article dealing with the economy. We are the very edge of a total economic collapse here in the USA. Glenn often quotes from articles from the Business Insider.com. It’s a great place to learn about the USA economy and the world economy.
I would also recommend that articles be pulled from freedomsphoenix.com which is liberatarin based world news, economics and scince advances.
I don’t know what these people are being paid but I would do it for free as my major service to the liberty cause.
Frankly, if it doesn’t get better after Nov 2nd, I may look it once in while and comment even less. I‘m saddened that a great idea of Glenn’s is being so poorply managed.

I wasn’t saying you voted for a Democrat I was saying you “effectively” voted for the Democrat. By being so rigid that you couldn’t understand that a vote for the one that you (and very few others) agreed with 100%, rather than who you agreed with 70%, allowed the one you agreed with 5% to win.
Again the main premise of the earlier comment wasn’t that you lied about WHO you voted for but your lack of vision that allowed the wrong person to win… I even gave you a very clear example of how Ross Perot followers cost Bush the Elder a second term. I if you choose to mis-understand, theres’s little I can do.
Dems have always relished the situation of running against 2 conservative choices… they can usually count on the stongly principled conservative to split the vote. Yes …principles are wonderful things and we all need them. “Principles without goals are like piety without Heaven”
