Beck to Announce New Radio Deal (Report — $100 Million Contract)

If you love listening to Glenn Beck on the radio, and many, many millions of you do, you will get to do so for years to come.
The news about Beck’s radio show hit the New York Times Sunday evening:
His company, Mercury Radio Arts, will announce on Monday that it has renewed its contract with Premiere Networks, keeping “The Glenn Beck Program” in syndication for five more years.
Mr. Beck’s show entered national syndication via Premiere, a unit of Clear Channel, 10 years ago. Now carried by more than 400 stations, the show typically ranks No. 3 among all news-talk radio shows.
The Times quotes Premiere Radio’s president Julie Talbott calling Beck one in a “handful of superstar talents.” Beck praised Premiere as a “true partner in every sense of the word.” The report put the value of Beck’s prior contract in 2007 at $10 million a year:
Premiere and Mercury Radio Arts declined to comment on the value of the new one, but a person with direct knowledge of the deal said it would pay Mr. Beck $100 million over the course of the contract.

It’s we the people. It’s self government. GBTV is the town cryer ( no pun intended). It’s the accurate version of current events. It’s not so much that I pay Glenn for GBTV, but I pay a business for an excellent and valuable service and I’m happy to know of and have access to that service! It is a great benefit to all of us that it even exists because most sources out there are watered down and censored and people inclined to and able to help fix any issue first have to KNOW about it!
Glenn is an excellent example of what freedom can do for you. The freemarket, liberty and capitalist system do work when you set your mind to using it properly.

He may not NEED your $10 per month. He may not even NEED my $10 per month. But I am more than willing to pay my $10 per month because it’s one of the best values around. Where else can you get this much information from all of his enterprises for this cheap of a price tag? And, get it 24/7 when you want it and not on some network’s schedule. If you can’t watch/listen to a show live you can catch it later “On Demand”.
This is as great a deal as my latest Lithium-Ion battery power tool. Just not as expensive.

I like the fact that I have the Podcast available, but it is going to be interesting how low 740′s ratings start dropping. They did have the best lineup, Rush, Hannity, then Beck, with Levin in the evening.
