Beck Tussles With Anti-Semitic Caller on Radio: ‘I Would Like to See the Jews Neutralized’

If you want to see Glenn Beck frustrated, one of the easiest ways is probably to spew anti-Semitic hate while calling into his radio show. That’s what one caller did on Tuesday. The caller, named Scott, tried to convince Beck that the Jews are the problem in America. And that didn’t sit well with Beck.

Glennbeck.com explains:

Glenn had a pretty nasty caller on radio this morning – one who called former KKK member David Duke a hero as part of an anti-Israel and anti-Semitic rant. Yeah, that didn’t go over so well with Glenn who was already having a bad day.

The call was clearly off to bad start when the caller, Scott, defended David Duke, Occupy Wall Street, and anti-Semitism in the first minute:

GLENN: Okay. I want to go to Scott in New York who is a ‑‑ who says David Duke is his hero. Well, hello, Scott. Welcome to the program.

CALLER: Good morning, Mr. Beck. How are you?

GLENN: I’m great, sir. How are you?

CALLER: I ‑‑ David Duke is my hero, and I’ll tell you why. Because I’d like all your listeners to know that I support the courageous protestors of Occupy Wall Street.

GLENN: I’m sure you do.

CALLER: And I’ll tell you why. Because they are fighting against international Jewish capitalism.

Scott went on to say that “Jews are the scourge of the world” and that they should be “neutralized.” When Beck pressed Scott on that point, Scott said he said all Jews should be banished to Madagascar.

Co-host Pat was so taken aback by the call, he said that if he didn‘t know better he would have thought it was a prank call by Beck’s producer, Stu.

So why let Scott continue his hate?

“I don’t shut this guy off. I want you to hear him,” Beck explained. “I’m not into political correctness. I want you to hear him. Why did I go to Jerusalem? Because of people like Scott here in New York. Because of people like Scott. They want you to hate the Jew. He hates the Jew.”

Later in the program, Beck delivered an emotional defense of the Jews:

“There is only one space. There is only one country. It has been our charge and our duty. I testify to you now that the only reason this country exists is to be a safe haven for those who are not wanted any place else, whether that be a Jew or you. This is the place and the only place on Earth where man can be safe. The minute, the minute we don’t defend that with everything in us, we are done. The Lord will have no place for us. This is not about our money. This isn’t about our lives. This isn’t about our sacred honor. This is about our sacred duty. What part of the symbol of the Statue of Liberty do we not understand? It is to represent the covenant, the covenant that we have, the opportunity that God and this land will provide. Not for you. Not for me. But for those who have been rejected everywhere on Earth. Watch them. See what they can do. Welcome them.”

    I do believe Glenn predicted the rise of antiSemetism awhile back. Right again Glenn.
    We are watching preWWII Europe but it is happening in America today. Wake up folks, this will not be over even if Obama loses the election. The evil has been allowed to grow and fester and will reach the inevitable explosion soon.

      Kudlow explained that he took a risk with his money. Investments do not guarantee gains.

      @ dogtags…..I idolize no one but Beck has been right about too many events to dismiss him as you seem to want to do. Yes Jew hating has been around but when was the last time it was so vocal, so promoted and accepted as it is in America at this time? Not in my lifetime and probably not in yours either.

      I don’t understand why we should defend Jews, and not other nationalities like Pakistani or Kurd or Aborigine or Eskimo or whatever. Why should Americans fight-and-die for a nation that lies 10,000 miles away, while turning out back on our peoples also in mortal danger?

      No reason I can think of. I think it’s none of our business. Bing the troops home from Israel and Libya and Iraq and Afghanistan and so on.

      Beck an IDOL. That’s hilarious. I call him my little White brother, who I respect just as if he were born from my mother. If Michael the Archangel appeared I wouldn’t fall at his feet either, but I’d pay attention to his message, because we both serve the same God and I don’t have all the answers.       Has anyone here checked out the 5 major revolutions that George Soros has funded? These OWS people are paid $80 or so a day. George Soros spent 42 million to fund the Rose Revolution in Georgia. THe people walked in and overthrew their dictator. Then the government was handed over to the Soros.and the nct or some such thing.
      When they are done: the government seizes control of everything..no more farming..no cattle growing..the government grows whatever it wants for profits. When the protesters come back and try to protest again, they are forced to sign a no protest agreement..if they don’t, they are threatened with a ficticious lawsuit and threatened with prison if they don’t sign. And then are imprisoned if they break the agreement. Check out Sorso’s Revolutions and how he topples regimes, then takes away everyone’s rights. And this is just an example of three of the rights taken..

      Well because Israel is really the only STABLE and predictable democracy in the entire region. It is in our national interest to maintain a foothold in the region, and one of the best ways to do that is to support your ally in the region. Israel also upholds the same principals that we do, the rule of law, women’s rights, freedom of religion, etc. Not to mention a lot of our tech products contain technology developed in Israel.

      The rebel and para military regimes in the region and much of Africa offer none of those things. Busting in there to “save” people would constitute an act of war, and we have enough “,ilitary actions” going on right now as it is.

      I’m divided on this; 

      I think Glenn was only trying to use this to “fulfill” his prophecy of anti-Semitism. (Hasn’t anti-Semitism been here since I don’t know, Jesus? Yes) So anti-Semitism is nothing new and Glenn continually talking about it actually makes it more rampant. It is the same as the race card being used over and over and over and over. We get it Glenn. Here in the USA we are all the same, Americans. Seeing race, including Jewish race, is racist. 

      The caller was obviously dumb. If one likes David Duke, their choice but one is obviously ignoring David’s ties to KKK and hate speech. To say “Jews” need to be “neutralized” is obviously stupid and hateful. To say all “Jews” should be banished to Madagascar is stupid. Both statements are unAmerican and not part of what being American is about. 

      Neither Glenn or caller addressed the problem of Wall Street or OWS direction. Glenn spent time casting pearls to swine. Don’t give haters another voice Glenn. It will only bread more.

      It makes one wonder….is anti-Semitism on a rise again or did it never go away? Is there any truth to what these folks at OWS are saying? A lot of it is the same stuff that was said 80 years ago in Europe. Is the stuff they said about Jews as true today as it was back then? Back then they claimed Jews owned the banks. Today people still say Jews own the banks as well as the media, Hollywood, the Democratic Party, etc . Is it true? Does pointing out the truth make you a hate monger? So either this anti-Semitism from 80 years ago in Europe that is replaying now is totally a lie and based on falsehoods or else there is some truth to it. I suggest you look up who the people in power at these banks, media, and Hollywood are. Look up their names and decide for yourself. If you see names like Cohen, Kahn, Greene, Fine, Goldberg, Silverman, Pearl, you can bet they are Jews. From what I’ve looked up there are a huge number of Jews in positions of power in corporate America as well as degenerate, gay loving Hollywood and the media. They are the 1% that OWS are opposed to.       First of all I stand wholeheartedly with Dr. David Duke not Glenn Beck. Dr. Duke is an honorable, moral, extremely courageous and intelligent man unlike the foolish idiot Glenn Beck. Even in my 20s and 30s when I was aware of him but not listening closely, I never heard him say one word that I disagreed with but at the time it just wasn’t important to me and I didn’t not understand all of the focus on the Jews. Today I have a much greater understanding of the Jew and their role in history. It is that understanding of the Jew and the Jew’s history (particularly their role in Marxism and the Russian Revolution) that enlightens the individual and enables them to see the extreme danger which they pose to civilization.

      Now ole Beck is extremely puffed up with knowledge and pride. He wants to be seen as a modern day Prophet but he is nothing but a pathetic sick shill working for the Jew. (Who owns FOX and who is the CEO of XM/Sirius?) He predicts a rise of anti-Semitism such as was witnessed in 20th century Europe. What a genius Mr. Beck is! How many Nations just across Europe has the Jew been expelled from over the past 1500 years? Predicting a rise in anti-Semitism is like predicting a person will get hungry before the sun goes down.       Wasn’t it jewish groups that were trying to get Beck kicked off the air because they were saying he was antisemitic for pointing out several people on his show who happened to all be jewish? Isn’t it jewish people who overwelmingly threw their money and support behind Obama, in which I’m sure they will again this time as well. Aren’t most of the people Beck talks about on a daily basis, George Soros,John Holdren, Cass Sunstien, Emanuel, Axelrod, Francis Fox Piven, Andy Stern, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, Barney Frank, Anthony Wiener, Wade Rathke, Alan Greenspan, Ben Bernanke, Blankfien, ect.       Morals and way of life, and Iranian does not share our values of free people as Israel does. Same as North Korea not being equal to our Canadian allies. It’s about how they treat their people.

    I’m wondering if this whole call is a prank. Some of the call has obviously prerecorded segments. And it’s all a little, too pat, this guy calls in and they have all this stuff ready? Over live radio? Nope, I‘ll bet this is just another of Glenn’s old Shock Jock pranks coming out of the drawer so Glenn can play Wise Prophet.

      No, that just means they’ve used the set up before. Or it means that there is a bigot named Scott somewhere. It doesn’t mean that Scott is at OWS nor does it mean he is in the leadership of the group. It just means that Beck got someone to say things he could be against. It doesn‘t mean it wasn’t a set up.

      Oh come on Beckbots. DesertRose has an obvious point here. We know that Beck is going out of his way to prove what a friend to the Jews he is to repair his image. We know he’s trying to prove that the OWS movement is fundamentally antisemitic. And then conveniently they’ve got this guy on the line that gives Beck an excuse to give speeches that cover both of those bases. Hmmm….

      Even if he wasn’t a plant, Beck’s show is obviously trying to get the craziest people possible and then pretend that they are having a relevant debate. Its pointless, but Beck uses it to make himself look good, and apparently you folks just eat it up.

    Here’s the problem with Beck, and I love the guy. He names, names. He’s told us about the spooky dude, Soros. The most dangerous man in America, Sunstein. Ayers and his revolutionary, terrorist wife, Dohrn. The man who wants to bring down capitalism, Stephen Lerner. Then, there are Emanuel, Stern, Alinsky, Marx, Piven, Axelrod, Bernanke, Bloom, Berwick, Orszag, Lew… on and on.
    These are the people named by Beck as being detrimental to America, and our American way of life.
    Every single one of the above are Jews. These are the ones per Beck. How can anyone now say that Jews are not a major part of the problem?
    Beck brings in Rabbi Lapin. The Rabbi speaks of Jews as being a large part of the problem in his book “America’s Real War.” This is Beck’s guest.
    Fact is, not opinion, Jews are a problem. Fact is, not opinion, Jews do have major, and hugely disproportionate, control of our economy. Fact is, not opinion, a Jew has been Chair of the Fed my entire life… not even close to being possible per the laws of probability, which means more is at play… an ethnic nepotism not too unlike that practiced by the mob. They are an ethnic mob that diverts criticism with cries of antisemitism. The truth is coming out.

      It is not about the Jewish faith. It is about the ethnic Jew. I wish people would educate themselves about the difference. One can be an ethnic Jew practicing the faith of Christianity.
      The diaspora formed an ethnic Jewish nation without borders. A Jew living in Russia had more in common with a Jew living in France than either had with their native hosts. Read Herzl. Read Einstein. I’m not saying anything new here.
      This is also why Jews historically have failed to assimilate into the host nations. Look at history. Why have different peoples, from many different cultures, in many different generations and time periods, all come to the same conclusions? Jews have been restricted, ostracized, removed, from everywhere in the world at one time or another. The reasons given are always the same.
      I ask, is the problem with the Jewish culture, or is it with the entire rest of the world throughout many generations? If a child gets expelled from school after school, is the problem with the schools, or is it the child? Are the schools anti-children, or is anti-children nothing more than a weapon used to deflect criticism, and hide blame?

      The problem with your analysis is a logical fallacy called a “hasty generalization” or “the fallacy of insufficient statistics”.

      For example: Both World Wars have been started by Germany. Employing your flawed reasoning, one could conclude that World Wars can only be started by Germany. The solution, therefore, to achieving global peace is to eliminate Germans.

      You have only mentioned those whom Beck has named which have Jewish names. If you start by reducing your sample size to a group which has some arbitrary characteristic, it doesn’t matter what that characteristic is… such as left-handedness, what side they part their hair on or yes, even race, creed or color… even though each individual case cited may in fact be true, the overall conclusions reached due to the insufficient sampling will be false.

      The issue is compounded when you begin by assuming that some characteristic is to blame for something. You then examine only those which have that characteristic. You wind up confirming your own bias.

      And it is fair to criticize Jews as a group in our media and government and society where they do seem to exert an unusually high influence, but it is tricky and always devolves into claims of anti-Semitism. Same thing goes for blacks but there the attack is of someone being a racist. Blacks, Jews, Mexicans, all are fair game, as groups, for criticism, where they are having a detrimental effect on our society. People like to have it both ways, they want the collective when it suits them but not when it is used to point out problems.

      Thorloser, your logic is based on flawed facts. Germany did not start WWI. Though many causes led to the war, Austria-Hungary competed with Serbia and Russia over territory in the Balkans. Germany was drawn into the war. Russia mobilized before Germany, thus forcing Germany’s hand to mobilize. Serbia and Austria also mobilized before Germany.
      This kind of reminds me of the ill-written history about the start of WWII and the German boycott of Jewish businesses. Jews called for war on Germany in March of 1933, before Hitler consolidated his power. Jews began a world-wide economic attack to bring Germany to its knees, knowing full well that Germany was suffering the worst in a world-wide depression. Germany responded in April.

One had better see what the ‘Verein’ (Germany’s Jewish Central Association) had to say about the world-wide call to declare war on Germany. It was the Jewish propenent Glenn Beck who came up with 9 people who he thought had the most detrimental influence on America during the 20th century. Coincidentally or not 8 of the 9 were Jewish so I believe that it is very easy to conclude that the Jewish people have a very disproportionally negative influence upon society by observing Beck’s sample..       Unfortunately, you don’t mention the number of non-Jews that he criticizes on a daily basis. I’m a Jew, and I, too, have a real problem with Soros (he totally renounced his religion when he was a teenager), Lerner, Andy Stern, etc. I had a problem with their irrational and strange beliefs long before I ever heard of Glenn Beck. By the way, I have a very, very recent e-mail from a prominent Orthodox Jewish senator, which I haven’t shared with Glenn as of yet, mentioning that although he disagrees with Glenn on some issues, he admires him and admires his committment to the state of Israel. Do you honestly think that he’d put that statement in writing, if there was a belief that Glenn was anti-semitic?

      The *vast* majority of those humans are males, so maybe it’s a human male problem?
      Of those human males, the vast majority have historically espoused some form of religious belief, so maybe it’s religious male humans?
      Of those, the veast majority have believed in monotheism, have had the letter e somewhere in their name, have worn facial hair, favor a specific color, have a favorite number, write with one hand or the other and on and on.

      The point is, just because you *think* you have found a pattern does not mean that the pattern you see is anything other than coincidence or the result of other benign factors. For instance, it’s not like arabs got together in some secret meeting and decided to corner the taxicab and corner gas station markets… but if you used faulty logic, the proof would be *cough* undeniable *cough*. Did women decide to corner the market on being nurses? How about men deciding to corner the market on dentistry? How about 25 to 45 year old fat white men who drink coffee, play video games and eat donuts cornering the US market on computer programming?

      Arguments of “well that’s statistically improbable“ or ”this group having x, y or z characteristic is way outside of the standard deviation of the general populace” are invalid because it relies on the assumption that all outcomes are or should be equal… IE: confirmation of a socialistic bias

      You take this long laundry list of names that Beck has fed you folks for years now, and realize they are all Jews. Suddenly, it seems perfectly logical to you to say that Jews are the problem. Yet, you are missing the point here. Beck CHOSE those names, and many of them are fairly obscure.

      Beck CHOSE to focus show after show on Soros, a self-made financier who did more to dismantle Communism and liberalize the former Soviet states in central and eastern Europe than any American president. He CHOSE to focus on Fox Piven, an aging academic who is no closer to toppling the American government than Beck is. He CHOSE to devote time and energy to making sure everyone know the name Alinsky.

      Beck choses his targets carefully, and the fact that so many of them are Jews points to a problem not with Jews, but with Beck.

      The Jews are NOT promoting brain washing children in military training camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum deaths of Jews and other non Muslims. The Jews don’t hijack planes, nor kill athletes at the Olympics, or blow themselves up in German restaurants. There is NOT one single Jew who has destroyed a church. There is NOT a single Jew who protests by killing people.

      The Jews don’t traffic slaves, nor have leaders calling for Jihad and death to all the Infidels.

      Perhaps the world’s Muslims should consider investing more in standard education and less in blaming the Jews for all their problems.

      Muslims must ask ‘what can they do for humankind’ before they demand that humankind respects them.

    I heard this exchange on the radio today. This man hates the Jews because he lost an investment of a little over $190,000 In Lehman bros.
    So because he lost lost money, now he hates the Jews. I could not believe what I was hearing. He told Glenn he wanted them all out of the USA.
    This nutcase wants them all gone because he lost MONEY. How shallow can a person be.

      ROSE ELLEN, you poor misguided propogandist, put down that glass of Kool-Aid and realise that the very definition of barbaric is Muslim.Yeh they stood up and thanked America in Libya as they did in Egypt. Now they will move the “BARBARIC” Muslim Brotherhood in to implement Shiria Law. As for Muslims in the USA they are just the beginning of the softening process to test our laws and to change what they can by peaceful means, get their foot in the door so to speak. In fact they depend on people like you in order to become more accepted. I suggest you get your facts in the future from the Bible instead of the UN. But if you can;t do that then just take a little time to read the Koran and you will see that the poor poor Muslims have a hidden agenda which is World Domination by any means neccesary, in fact, it is even allowed to lie to the infidels as long as they accomplish their goals. Oh yeah, if you refuse to assimilate, those poor peaceful Muslims will cut your head off but I am sure they will do it in a civilized manner.

      They came for the unionists only because they stood in the way of the nationalization of industry, something today‘s unionists wouldn’t do. They came for the communists because the communists wanted to hold them back from socialism until the whole world could be forced into that mold.
