    If we have “komrade Trumpka” acting as proxy for Secretary Clinton on foreign policy for Egypt, what do we need her for? As a matter of fact, hey Bob Woodward, if you have another book in you, could you get on this please? Like to know why we have two Greyhound busses full of czars in the administration, and our President hasn’t been introduced to all of those in the “line of succession”. I’m not going to have time to read all these books! What are we going to have left to fight over for the 2012 campaign?

    Trumka is arrogant and a flaming egotist. The oldsaying is “give emenough ropeand they’ll hang themselves with it” is going to hold true with this guy. He’s way to comfortable in his skin which is setting him up for a hard fall. The mid term elections were hard proof of how the voting public pushed back fromunchecked aggogance and power. The good thing is these characters like BO,Reid,Pelosi, and Trumka are so punch drunk with power they still haven’t realized they were voted against by the citizens. This will be their demise in 2012. The proof rears it’s head everyday.
    Trumka is an idiot outside of collecting union dues (extortion) from his “worker plantations”. It’s going to get nasty before it gets better. Violence from the left is percutating just below the surface.
    As I mentioned in an earlier post …Liberal / progressive/ democrat/ are followers by nature and as a whole aren’t capable of original thought orindividual initiative. The unions take advantage of this through intimidation, forced membership, and instilling the feeling of powerlessness “without” someonetolead the way. Some members no of no other life than unionism as its passed through generations. Government unions are the democrats honeypot forfunding. They will protect it to extremes yet to be seen and beyond belief. Issa will be very busy long before it’sover. States will attempt to draft legislation or write into their state constitutions recall language to protect it’s citizens from AWOL representatives.
    Enjoy BO and Trumka’s behaviour with a huge smile as they commit political suicide.. Give em all the rope they want and we the people will get what we need as a nation… FREEDOM fromTyranny

    I was raised in a strong UAW household and strongdemocratic party loyalists.Lib/progs can smirkall they want because it‘s been said in my familythey will NEVER vote for a party that supports what they’ve witnessed of the democratic party the past 4 years and view GOVERNMENT UNIONS as a relationshipwith a severe conflict of interest. Obama is LOSING the loyalty of the democratic party leaving only the hard left as his base.

    The fun part of this is that when I agree with Glenn his detractors will imply that I’m simply parroting him. Truth be told, I’ve been hacked at the unions for my entire working life and doubly torqued at the dems for being in bed with them. Talk about creating inequality in the workplace and adopting a complicit posture in our legislature… sheesh.

    Obama’s suspect interaction with certain non-governmental parties while making no contact with his cabinet members is interesting. It’s almost like your dear president is pretending to be president while establishing something else. Whoever dreamed of enacting a coup from the office of president was definitely inspired. The question is will America permit a tyrant to take her down from the highest office of the land…or will they put such overwhelming pressure that the other members of government will be forced to remove the tyrant and punish him for treason.

    The advocate for the common working man only makes about $239,000 per year. I wonder how he gets to the White House? private jet, & limo, limo, union built electric car, bicycle? It takes that many trips per week to haul over all the bags of cash from the union dues that are confiscated from the average worker. Unions should not be allowed to make political donations. All of the money collected should be used only for the direct support of the union members themselves. I wonder if how may of the union people could opt out what would they do?

And the head of the AFL-CIO talks to the White House every day? Curious…just sayin. And there is no history of corruption in the AFL-CIO??

      Because they help to do voter registration, and pay to encourage the dead and convicted felons to vote, when all else fails, they supply trunk keys, and light darkened closets, so that more uncounted ballots are found during recounts.

      Pastor Snowleapord, I have to challenge you and your congregation. Your every post supports the rich becoming ever richer, and the less fortunate becoming ever poorer. You blame the poor for their situation, and credit the rich for their hard work.

      I notice that you, as a Pastor, as a leader of a Church of Christ, as a follower of Christ and a servant of the Lord God, never quote the Bible to support your opinions. Do you not know the Word of God? Do you not base your thoughts on the Word of God? Why are you afraid to quote His Words in support of your opinions Pastor?

      I think that is because you can’t find a single word in the Bible, a single word spoken by Jesus to support your opinions that the rich are deserving of disproportionate wealth, that the government of the United States should make every law based on enlarging the pockets of the millionaires and billionaires, and that any organization supporting the working man, the poor, the meek and the helpless is ungodly and deserving of scorn.

      Snow, I‘d just ignore you like most on this site if you didn’t proclaim to be a Pastor and follower of Christ. Presumably you’ve read some of the Bible. Please Pastor Snow, bring some of your biblical knowledge to current events and quote some Biblical passages in support of your ideas about Christ’s teachings and how they bear on the current situation in America.

      If we KNOW that the crimes are high enough, why didn’t the Democratic House of the 111th Congress start the impeachment process? Oh, Nooooooooo! Couldn’[t do that to the Halo-in-Charge! The House writes the Articles of Impeachment; the Senate tries the case. As evidenced by their behavior in the 111th Congress, do you REALLY expect a Democrat to vote for Obama’s impeachment? After what they have allowed him to do to this country already? No, it will take a 2/3 majority of Republicans to take the putative president out from behind the Resolute Desk.

      The Constitution, Article I, Section 2, Clause 5: The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

      The Constitution, Article 1, Section 3:
      The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

      Thank you Mr. Sotero or whatever your name is for the inspiration you have given me over the las few years. You have changed many things in my life that i used to think werent important. I never felt the need to own a firearm or learn what the Second Ammendment was really about. I am proud to say that I now own 3 assault rifles, 3 handguns and a bunch of ammo because of your leadership. I used to put my money in the bank and in a savings account, but thanks to your fiscal proposals and keen eye for business i have abandoned the banks. I now put my money into precious metals that I can keep in a safe place. They have more than tripled in value and the best part is, I dont have to pay a cent in tax for my profits. I have become very self sufficient and dont need alot of the stuff i used to think was important, ie movies, vacations, christmas, birthdays,. So thank you once again!!!!!!

      @jzs -my guess is that you watch a lot of msnbc,CNN & are one of those brilliant individuals who think that Jon stewart is a secretly legit newssource. If this is in fact the case, my thought is that youought to branch out & truly look at your opponents argument through unbiased eyes- the assertion that you‘ve made is that the consevative view on this is ’up with the rich& down with thepoor’ please try to realize that view holds no water in reality- our country was founded on individual liberty- and with a firm reliance on the hand of God. The position is not saying let the rich get richer, rather let the rich decide what to do with their wealth- this also holds accountability- if the rich man becomes greedy he will answer toGod for his greed- if his wealth is taken from him by the gov’t he looses the chance to do what is right- the beauty of our founding is that if a poor man should decide he wants to add to society financially, all he need do is try, if someone actively seeks to make more of themselves & seeks to achieve the 4 e‘s inGb’s e4 there‘s nothing they can’t do-

      another concern> the jackson place secret union meetings. president obama has used rental space at Jackson place to subverrt recordings of meetings from public record. jackson place has been used daily by whitehouse, secret lim entrances and no records. wake up people.

It’s called right to work. Teachers will have a right to work whether they join the union or not. Stop LYING about the bill. Union bosses know, people will choose NOT to pay dues to an organization that does not reflect their values. Every teacher does not share the same political ideology. You lefties are used to making conservatives pay union dues and giving that money to the Democrat party. That’s Becks point. He MUST pay dues to an organization that he disagrees with.       Me thinks BUSH and Obama love the Banksters

      When Hank Paulson agreed to become Treasury Secretary in May of 2006, he found himself in a bit of a pickle. You see, he owned about $500 million in Goldman Sachs stock, from his days as CEO of the firm.

      So to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest, government rules forced Mr. Paulson to sell all that stock. Phew, looks like we dodged a bullet there…

      Mr. Paulson’s conflict of interest also brought a very unique benefit: He didn’t have to pay any capital gains taxes on the sale of that stock — zero. The Economist estimated his tax savings to be $200m. That’s not bad compensation for less than 3 years of work at a “public service” gig. He also got a nice salary and generous benefits. For more on the intimate relationship between Goldman and Government, see this post.

      The ethics rules that forced Paulson to sell his GS shares were designed so that rich executives aren’t dissuaded from entering public service due to tax issues. But they seem to have the opposite effect. It encourages these guys to move to Washington after they’ve made their fortunes. Getting a government job with conflicted interest turns out to be a fantastic tax dodge. Not to mention all the good you can do while in office (for your buddies, high-five!). Sorry, I’ve been watching too much Borat/Ali-G lately.

      As most people know, Paulson went on to orchestrate the largest corporate bailout in history. Some banks failed, some will prosper in a thinned field of competitors. One of the major beneficiaries was the firm he formerly headed, Goldman Sachs. They received $10b in direct aid, plus another $12b indirectly, via the AIG bailout. Goldman argues that even if AIG wasn’t bailed out, they would have collected most of their $12b. They may be correct, but I am skeptical. To be clear, I am not accusing Goldman or anyone else of illegal activity or fraud. But things seem very fishy.

      Goldman is also a major government contractor, which means the Treasury Department pays Goldman millions for their expert advice on financial matters. And Edward Liddy, who was appointed by Paulson to head up AIG, is a former director at Goldman. How much more conflicted can the entire situation get? Mr. Liddy was officially only paid a $1 salary for his time at AIG, but he still owned roughly $3 million in Goldman Sachs stock.
