Beck TV: Glenn Describes the ‘Courage and Compassion’ of SEAL Hero Michael Murphy

Yesterday we brought you the inspiring story of Navy Lt. Michael Murphy, the SEAL commander who died in Afghanistan while heroically saving his fellow team members. You can read about it here.

The story has always struck a chord with Glenn Beck, who has forged a strong friendship with the only surviving member of that team, Marcus Luttrell. On TV yesterday, Beck described Murphy‘s ’courage and compassion:’

Michael Murphy’s parents must be very proud of their son. I know I would be. What a great man he must have been.

Go away with your propaganda, Beck.

You can stroke the SEALs scrotum all day long, and I still don’t buy the official story.

SEALs are awesome, but seriously. Stop the saturation propaganda.

But I’m not so glad that I wish to be reincarnated as a virus to kill off people for population control.

Too bad you can’t shut me up or intimidate me over the internet, isn’t it.

Wow! So very brave of you to attack from behind the complete anonymity of a dark and brooding sounding avatar… “sinista mace” (sic; too bad you can’t spell, either), whoa, even sounds “evil” (in only a comic book sort of way; which I imagine is where you live your pathetic life!).

Had you a human brain, you’d quite easily realize that Glenn Beck was merely attempting to educate the captivated public (hence, the record-setting traffic on this site!), and even “worms” like you… as to the truly heroic efforts put forth on a DAILY basis by these SEALS, and men just like them, including my very own father(..!); to afford you the opportunity (we call it “freedom”) to act like an idiot…!

None of us on this site could care any less if you “buy the official story”… we‘re just wondering WHEN you will disappear back into your grandmother’s basement with your “dungeon‘s and dragon’s” playmates…!

Attack me with your misguided words, fine. But don’t you DARE attack those who defend my very freedoms…! (There, I feel much better now.)

      You’re a joke.

You and your neocon buddies are the joke of the century.

You‘re so out of touch that you don’t recognize ebonics, and your argument is so weak that you have to attack pseudonymous names in a realtime forum.

      Kick rocks, troll.

Beck has been carrying Obummer’s water for quite a while now, and people don’t buy the bullcrap. Calling those who seek the truth about his birth certs “birthers” and those who don’t buy the official story “deathers”, and “9-11 truthers” and all that disinformationist garbage…I wonder what we would call Mr Beck…how about…just “Lamer”.

That’s why his stupid fake-crying arse is out of here, saying how he hates 9-11 victims’ families, but he hates Katrina victims even more… he‘s a horse’s posterior.

“None of us on this site could care any less if you “buy the official story”…

You don’t speak for everyone on this site, trolly, even though you feel like you can claim some possession to it because you spend your lifetime on it. Get a life.

“We on this site…” what a pathetic loser. Then you come with the old-as-the-internet-itself lame insults, “mother’s basement“ and ”dungeons and dragons” garbage.

Catch up. It’s 2011. At least make an ATTEMPT to be original, lemming.

Read the book Lone Survivor and you will know what real hero’s are. These guys rock and they are a great replacement for the new global superman in DC comics. I know the seals do not have a recruiting problem but I suspect they are about to have a big jump in people interested in joining their very elite club. Obama is not worthy to clean these guys boots. They are true American protectors.

The book should have never been written. The sheepherder and the kid should have been killed. There was no righteousness in not killing them. It cost lots of soldiers their lives by not taking them out. Sad story.

We will never know the reason for why the sheepherders were spared. part of the discusion was the backlash from the liberal media. We’re not in any possition to judge their decision. I don’t beliefe that it was clarified whether they were spared out of compassion, righteousness, or the media and rules of engagement. I don’t know that Marcus Luttrell is at liberty or has any desire to clearify this.
I certainly DO NOT expect him to.
Bottom line. It happened! Now the book has to be written to let everyone know that these bastards take advantage of the rules of engagement by shielding themselves and using civilians as tools of war.
There should be a clause that says if you use civilians as part of war strategy, these civilians have been enlisted and are therefore “Fair Game”

Great story. So many of our troops have suffered similar situations and not been remembered. Glad to hear of this story of compassion. Let us get Obama out of office before we, as Americans lose all compassion for anyone!

      @blazers-
sorry for cutting in line (normally i would have posted below) but,IMHO,this book is more than a must read.i won’t go into all the details of the book-you need to read it for yourself.but,i will say this, operation redwing was NOT a recon mission.it was an extraction mission.Marcus and his team’s objective was to locate and capture a very high level taliban commander.
FOUR extraordinary men dropped behind enemy lines and given an extraordinary,if not impossible, mission.
along with telling the story of said mission, the book details what it takes to become a Navy Seal.i read it twice and couldn’t put it down either time.
