Posted on February 10, 2011 at 8:44pmIt‘s troubling that the MSM is just repeating the propaganda that the Obama regime want’s them to, when all you have to do is listen to what these muslims are saying! Don’t put words in their mouths, they have said exactly what they think and intend to do. And that makes them dangerous.

Report Post »A good read would be Jeremiah 50 and 51. It speaks of the last days and gives a good reason why we are fighting in Babylon (modern day Iraq, showing we are to be there at this time in our history). Though I realize we may suffer persecution in the last days, I take comfort in what God Almighty says about His Chosen People Israel. Jeremiah 50: 4 – 7 gives me much comfort in regards to what is going to happen to us. We read: “IN THOSE DAYS (after we go against Babylon; Iraq), AT THAT TIME, declares the Lord, THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL (meaning, those of the Northern Kingdom of Israel that went into captivity to Assyria and never returned to the Promised Land; the United States is included in that passage) and THE PEOPLE OF JUDAH ( the Southern Kingdom of Judah that went to Babylon as captives, but later returned to the Promised Land) TOGETHER will go in tears to seek the Lord their God. They will ask the way to Zion (Jerusalem; Modern Day Israel) and turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten. My People (meaning, Israelites; see 2 Samuel 7: 23 – 24) have been LOST SHEEP; their shepherds (leaders/educators, rulers, and religious leaders) have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains (meaning nations in Scripture). They wandered over mountain (nation) and hill (countries) and FORGOT THEIR OWN RESTING PLACE. WHOEVER FOUND THEM DEVOURED THEM; their enemies said, ‘We are not guilty, for they sinned against the Lord, THEIR TRUE PASTURE, the Lord (the God of Israel), THE HOPE OF THEIR FATHERS (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob).” Isn’t that what we heard the head of the Muslim Brotherhood say on a tape this week? That he thought we were guilty and deserved what we were getting, in regards to the Jews in his reference to Hitler!? Their thinking is so warped!
God will not forget us, and one day we and our brothers of the Northern Tribes of Israel will go to Modern Day Israel and worship Him with our brothers of the tribe of Judah. Can’t emphasize that enough! :)

What gets me is how our administration has alienated the United States from every one of our Allies in the Middle East. The United States should NOT turn their backs on Israel. But, doesn’t look like they value anything but their left wing arrogance. Seems like everyone in the Administration has not taken the time to truly understand what is going on and they certainly do not respect their history or culture (Middle East). Look where it has gotten us, left out in the cold with little or no respect. Thank you Hillary for doing a lousy job, thank you Obama for the lousy intelligence in place. You can always tell when Glenn hits a bulls eye the Left goes crazy come’s after him. I suspect that Beck will have to increase his security as time goes on because I think the more he exposes what’s happening the more agressive the Left will get. Beck is not the first one to shed light on the alliance of the Left and radical Islam, David Horowitz and Jaime Glazov have written books about it. But Beck is the first to do it on TV and radio, also remember the White House is in on this Muslim Brotherhood deal in Egypt that is why the Left is going after Beck.

As LtGen Boykin said, Egypt’s Military is US trained with US armaments. I too fear for who will fill the void, and if it is the Islamic Brotherhood, then there will be another Islamic state. Isreal will be in great danger when that happens.
But in the immediate future, gas prices will sky rocket because of this. Workers are already striking in Egypt who work in the Suez canal. The people who are not paying attention to how serious this crisis is, will be soon when they go to the fuel pump and the grocery store.

Posted on February 10, 2011 at 9:13pmYou realize that Glenn is a Mormon right?
Americans need to wake up the fact that Beck is simply another opinion pushing charlatan who is a product of mormon cult theology and he mixes this with his personal make up as a dry alcoholic.
And for the record, he is a Mormon and not a Christian.
Mormonism fits all parameters of a cult and has none of the parameters of a religion. A cult is any group (regardless of its size) that interprets the doctrines of a religion in an unorthodox fashion.
The problem here is the fact the most Christians do not understand the difference and they easily fall for the lies of Mormon missionaries when they come to one’s door.
On Beck’s radio show and Fox Network program he consistent demonstrates all the unstable behaviors of a dry alcoholic which include grandiosity, judgmentalism, intolerance, impulsivity, ADD and indecisiveness.
Alongside that reality, Glenn Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, has no college degree, has no qualifications and he is definitely not a true conservative.
But then, what can anyone expect from someone who can’t find anything filthier than their own personal reflection.
Since people like Beck cannot survive on the basis of any personal merits, they survive by putting others down with lies and half truths in order to feel good about themselves.
Beck is a Mormon in active standing with the mormon church and is not a Christian.
Mormonism teaches many gods, that the god of the earth was once a man who attained godhood status, there is no trinity, the cross of Christ means nothing and that Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers.
The people who love what Beck says are no different than the impressionable sheep who loved every speech made by Adolph Hitler in his early years when he brought Germany into an era of economic prosperity

I don’t promote Beck as a perfect person, but I believe he is honest, sincere and passionate about America and what has and is happening to it.
Beck’s passion and energy and frustration I perceive of him “jumping up and down”, waving his arms to make sure people are paying attention to what is happening to our country. There are other conservative saying some of the same things………but, he gets the word out to those WHO WANT TO HEAR in a clear way.
Good grief, people…………listen to his information and valuable research, read it yourself and decide yourself.
What does he want Egypt to do? There are no simple answers for such a hotbed of issues in that part of the world. His point……….is for US to be awake and aware of what is happening! We need to be prepared and not blind sheep………..”how did this happen?” It’s not just Beck warning about oil prices, food prices, there are others. And what about those liberals/union people in Europe and in America “nudging” and encouraging/calling for similar revolutions? Shouldn’t we be aware that the world situation could change quickly ….like dominos? We can pray for the best but be prepared for the worst. This is a totally different world than it was before WW I and II.

Posted on February 10, 2011 at 9:52pmHe did what I would have done. He has spent his entire life worrying about Egypt. He’s 80+. I doubt if he gives a cookie crumb in hell about power, greed, apartment view, or the pedigree of his dog! By waiting until very late in the evening, he forced the nut jobs into a corner and sent a message to the rational. He has a dozen hate groups eager to rape and kill the other 90+ %. They wont talk to each other, they wont get out of the square, and their hatreds and attacks are the very reason the laws are so repressive, heavy handed, and skewed in the first place. The military has apparently spurned overtures to solve or mediate. But someone understands because women were running from the square after the speech. Turning control to any of the groups, or seizure by any group, means death of the others. So you turn off the lights, you cut off the food and water, you shoot the remaining radicals, and you declare a peace with negotiations open ended. Any counter attack will depend entirely on whether the people realize how crazed most of these groups really are. No question in my mind that most of the moral, rational, Egyptians are about on the same page. The problem is you could end up with a Somalia, Iran, or Saudi Arabia in a heart beat, cut off from 98% of the world by hatred, economics, communism, social turmoil, immorality, religion, or all of the above!

Posted on February 10, 2011 at 8:20pmWell, I think the charlies angle was commenting to me and I just feel a need to clarify my statement.
I am no lib. I consider myself a Christian fundamentalist but I am also a wanna-be libertarian. I just know that in the real world a pure libertarian ideal would not work. There are too many leeches and wolves out there. Anywho…
I love Glenn Beck. I have all his books and agree with 98% of what he says. I routinely watch his show, only missing it if I have no choice. I have watched him for 3 years now, ever since he started on Fox.
But…while I agree with him and find his analysis is spot on, he does bring a sense of urgency that may be a bit much. Tonight was a prime example. His opening segment created tension and anger…why? Because the left wing nuts rag the hell out of him but he is always proven right? Why the anger? And why the urgency? Egypt is going to do what it is going to do, I sure as heck cannot do anything about it! I appreciate his heads-up on the matter, but I refuse to walk around in circles for the next 5 days muttering, “the caliphate is coming, the caliphate is coming…” I mean, really just what the heck are we supposed to do about Egypt, Sorros or Obama being a socialist? I will vote! I am also an organizer for my local tea parties but whatever…I am awake, I know our history, and I will vote…What more does Beck want? You know if you read real close, Broker, baeckisnuts, and several others do sometimes have some good points about Beck. They are all nuts…They are haters…But you know, Beck is NOT God! Patience, common sense, and rational dialogue will win the day, it always has. Fellow Americans are not the enemy, no matter their political beliefs. Some of them are impossible, like the trolls in here. But there are just as many on the right who are impossible to reach. That is why they troll here! Everyone is a rino, every Muslim wants to behead you, Obama is trying to collapse the system…Sorros? Maybe…Obama? No. Obama is just a simple tool.
I have said enough. I am with Beck. I appreciate everything he has done for this country. Just keep in mind though that it is a ratings game. Keep your head, use common sense. Whatever happens in Egypt…We cannot change that. It is one thing to be informed, it is another to be hysterical.

Posted on February 10, 2011 at 10:53pmonefunr6, I hear what you are saying. There will be many side effects to this also. Food will go up, companies will lay off workers and even fold…I do not think even the best beckies realize just how precarious our day to day situation actually is. And the left is agitating, they have been doing it overtime for a couple months now. It will be hard to start riots here…But once gas prices hit the roof and stores run out of food…
Man, you better be stocked and armed and able to go months without leaving the house and prepared to defend yourself. That is all I can say.
But all that aside…We do not know what tomorrow will bring. You cannot panic and you cannot live your life afraid of the end. There is a fine line between preparing people and driving people into panic. There is also only so much you can do about a world situation. We try and elect the right leaders and we support our families and communities. But posting in an online forum is going to do little for anyone. It is just conversation and means little in the real world.

Posted on February 10, 2011 at 11:04pmThis is awesome. I have a lot of respect for your rationality, TT. Honestly, you have restored my faith in humanity a little bit. I have been coming to this blog for a couple of months and only began posting a couple of weeks and you are one of the first pro-Beck rational humans I have seen. You see Beck for what he really is, which is a ratings hound who preys on fear. He is the epitome of a rabble-rouser. You can certainly agree with his principles and not buy into his hysteria. So, while I will almost certainly be voting the opposite party from you come November, 2012. I very much respect the fact that you have a level head.
I also love that there are rational people with regard to energy policy. The only good that will come from 200$/barrel oil is the increased viability of alternatives like nuclear. If Beck wanted to commit himself to a worthy cause, I would love to see a campaign dispelling myths about nuclear energy launched with his zeal. And for the record, 200$/barrel is LOW. Saudi Arabia is supporting Mubarek because the Sauds are going down soon. Abdullah is 86 and the Crown Prince is at least 82 if not older. Not to mention the fact that they haven’s adjusted their estimated oil reserves for two decades. They have much less left than they want the world to think. Cheap oil is on borrowed time.

How long do you think it would take to build a nuclear power plant if we HAD to? Read MY post again. The reason there is no investment in alternatives like nuclear is the plentiful and cheap nature of fossil fuels. When decreased stability in the Middle East leads to mind-blowingly expensive fossil fuel it will make nuclear, wind and solar more competitive hence more VIABLE.
But I guess you are simply telling people to PANIC because there is nothing that can be done about skyrocketing fuel prices. What is your position? Stock pile food, fuel, guns and gold? I take back what I said earlier.

You might not believe its that critical. thats fine. But in the world of politics by the time the end result is evident it is too late to decide what to do to stop it. Glenn warns about end results. But his goal is to nip it in the but before it is born. This is what trip people like you and the MSM up. This is why people think he is crazy. They are like; what do you mean it is going to rain, it sunny out.
Glenn thinks and speaks in terms of years and generations. The MSM thinks and speak in terms of a news cycle.

“@onefung So you are telling me that even if Americans are paying 10/Gal that it will still take 30 years to build a nuclear plant?”
10, 20 30 years.
“How long do you think it would take to build a nuclear power plant if we HAD to?”
10, 20 30 years. Read MY post again.
“The reason there is no investment in alternatives like nuclear is the plentiful and cheap nature of
fossil fuels.”
NOT. The REASON there is no investment in alternatives like nuclear is that they are either NOT profitable OR are OUT RIGHT PROHIBITED BY GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS.
IF they were PROFITABLE, people would BUILD THEM.
They cannot. They are NOT ‘allowed’ to….. AT ANY COST.
“… wind and solar more competitive hence more VIABLE.”
Wind and Solar will NEVER be “more VIABLE”….

Report Post »EddardStark
Posted on February 11, 2011 at 12:47amAm I talking to a wall? Do you know what makes business more profitable? Selling more goods at higher prices.
Oil is the CHEAPEST type of energy currently and dominates the market. So if oil were to be as expensive or more expensive than an alternative, guess what would happen to that alternative? People would be willing to pay the prices and buy more of them, which means, pay attention here, this is where it gets complicated, those alternatives would be profitable and therefore viable.
Yes, I read your post and I bow down to your amazing and very specific knowledge of nuclear power plants and how they currently take somewhere between one and three decades to build. Despite skepticism, I’ll accept your numbers, because they do not matter. 30 years is worst case scenario IF the status quo is maintained, but as you have been saying, gas and oil will go up to new heights. When that happens, Americans will not be able to afford the way they have been living currently and something will change. More money from the private sector will be invested in alternatives, more money will be poured into lobbying that will be more successful in watering down government regulation and, due to the prohibitive cost of oil, public opinion will also support the loosening of regulation. Besides, as I am sure you know, government regulation is actually not that strict on nuclear power. The biggest problem with nuclear is the disposal of spent nuclear fuel, which is mostly because no locality is willing to store it and that is a product of fear and misinformation.

Mubarek ruined Muslim Friday;prayers at the mosque. He’s adamant against Arabs stealing Egyptian history. What stuck from the Hyksos in Egypt is that men and women are equal. Ultimately, they will not permit Islam to destroy their country.
Did anyone hear Suleiman’s words? “This is the hour of truth. You know who you are. Ask your conscience.”
When it comes down to it, Israel is Egypt’s only true friend and Egyptians know it. When Suleiman said “I pray to God for my country” you could tell he meant The Creator-Of-The-Universe and not allah-the miserable-pagan-moon-god-of-destruction you hear from the prayers of fervent Muslims.
Also Egyptian born Father Zakaria and his Coptic TV Satellite Show which weekly tears Mohammed lovers to shreds (broadcast from America) is seen weekly by millions in Egypt and the Arab world. He has a HUGE fatwa on his head because he shakes the faith of Mohammed lovers TO THEIR CORE and has been doing this for three years or more
So when Suleimann says “The hour of truth has arrived” — I believe him. — in every good sense.

But, doesn’t look like they value anything but their left wing arrogance. Look back in history and see a comparison of what Beck is warning of, the assassination of one prince set off the chain of madness that led into world war one. This is what Beck constantly has been warning of – one or two small events begin a cascade into national changes, and those in turn lead to major changes in the global disposition of power.
One disruption of Egypt’s government will give the radicals, especially the muslum brotherhood, the ‘excuse’ they can use to forment a full scale uprising, and attempt to seize power for themselves by force of arms. Also in the case of the Egyptian VP assuming some limited power, then Mubarak still retains control of the nation while giving the illusion of compromise to the people.
The potential for a bloodbath to occur and be instigated by one person doing something stupid or deliberately can swiftly ignite the whole region of the middle east.

Posted on February 10, 2011 at 9:21pmMock all you want, but Glenn is right. If you had watched Becks program today you would know just how crazy things are getting. Here’s 4 seperate happenings that beg for some reasonable explanation…
1. The Egyptian government is about to come completely unglued due to the young people of Egypt calling for Mubareks resignation and their daily protests. This has been cheered-on with the help of many on the Left that are in the Revolution business.
2. A self-avowed long-time Revolutionary gleefully tells a crowd in Great Britain that it was an awesome experience to spend that last few days in Cairo hanging out with the protestors. Then she mentions it’s time for them to start doing the same in their own country.
3. The head of our Intelligence agency (Clapper) makes a rediculous claim that the Muslim Brotherhood are sweet and cuddly like little pink bunny rabbits.
4. Obama makes a speech today whereby he congratulates the people of Egypt for what they have accomplished, although a bit pre-mature. He then goes on to take special notice of the youth in Egypt. It almost sounded like he was giving our UN-EMPLOYED youth a green-light to hit the streets and start their own revolution.
So what’s your explanation… all you smart-a**es?

He pokes fun at the White House, but I have seen no solution that President Beck would be implementing. All I can tell see of his message is that EVERYTHING in Egypt is scary, “democratic protests” are really liberal media code for Islamic Radicalism and Marxist/Socialists, and every single member of this administration’s state department and intelligence community is an idiot or a Muslim sympathizer.

Posted on February 10, 2011 at 11:22pm@SNOW LEOPARD, I think I agree with a lot of your post, although I can‘t say I’ve heard Beck’s latest take on this situation in the Middle East. That region is a tinderbox. I believe there could be a cascade if events in the Middle East where the population rebels against the authoritarian regimes in their home countries. That is frightening given our economic dependence on oil from that part of the world.
Your fear seems to be that the “Muslim Brotherhood”, an organization none of us had heard of two weeks ago, will take over the country. Beck says the Muslim Brotherhood is absolute Evil and has no purpose beyond killing Americans and establishing a worldwide caliphate (something else no one else heard of two weeks ago).
Beck has to have bad guys, and he’s thrown in the Muslim Brotherhood with Piven, Soros, Democrats, liberals, communists, Europeans and the rest of the entire world into a vast conspiracy to subjugate the world population and subject Americas to slavery and Sharia law. His evidence? Single quotes from obscure individuals like Piven that he weaves into elaborate, paranoid schemes that even Republicans are beginning to publicly reject
The dynamics in Egypt are complicated but not that complicated.
In my opinion this is only a case of poor, powerless, disenfranchised people rebelling against the few rich and powerful. The many powerless poor against the few extravagantly rich and powerful. The economy of Egypt has benefited the rich and powerful, while the rest are left with nothing.
If the poor in Egypt had only worked harder, they’d all be rich, millionaires. Not. Snow, Egygt is what everything you believe in will lead to: a very small, wealthy class who live in castles surrounded by the poor. No “redistibution of wealth.” The rich get everything. To you, that’s freedom. But not to Egyptians. That’s the problem. That’s the history of the overthrow of governments by “we the people.”
