Thanks for the update on search engines! Be good to be shed of google.

Agree on many comments on O’Reilly esp. about how he asks people to come on his show and then will not let them speak…reminds me of Cavuto, sad to say. I quit O‘Reilly when I realized he didn’t have the guts to stand up for AMERICA and wanted to be “fair and balanced” JESUS addresses the “straddling the fence” approach to life and to faith with “I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth…” (Rev.3:15-22)

Good. Beck and Rush sit in their lavish lifestyle, broadcasting their views on important topics without debate. Sure the topics are debated here and in the media, but brothers and sisters, both of these orators need to be debated.

I stopped using Google earlier this week. The basis for my decision is this:
    1. Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google stated in a WSJ interview, “I actually think most people don’t want Google to answer their questions,” he elaborates. “They want Google to tell them what they should be doing next.”
    2. Google’s involvement in the Egypt revolution.
    3. A Google endeavor called “Google Ideas” headed by a former State Department employee named Jared Cohen. This effort by Google aims to resolve some big world issues. This is a strange focus for a business.
    4. Google’s desire to obtain more and more information through their search engine, Android smartphones and most undoubtedly Google Chrome, their new thin-client OS.
    5. Google’s coziness with Government in general and specifically the far-left Obama administration.

I do not want Google or any other company to think that I need or want to be “told what to do next”. I do not want to support a company that thinks they are wise enough to intervene in another nation’s most basic choice, their form of government. I will not support a company that champions leftist causes and philosophy, especially one with as much opportunity as Google has to slant information a particular way. The whole concept of Google Ideas appears to be social engineering. I will not purchase services, goods or use for free the products of a company that I fear will use the information it gathers to champion causes I oppose. In short, I am done with Google.

Try Startpage as an alternate search engine here:

    https://us2.startpage.com/eng/protect-privacy.html

This is the search engine I use. I‘ve been thinking there’s bias in Google for a long time now. This is not new. When I said this to my friends several years ago now they thought I was crazy. Who would have thought a search engine would be biased?

However, with their collusion with our State Department and various other global entities such as the AYM and Maajid Nawaj and Apr 6th Movement and Jared Cohen & Wael Ghonim, and Radical Groups and Unions associated with the Tides Foundation and Dummond Pike & Soros, and even the Muslim Brotherhood, they’ve taken this bias to whole new and treacherous level. They have used their Radical Leftist agenda to overthrow an ally.

I have already brought this to the attention of my representatives in Congress today. I suggest that you do this as well. Here’s a list of all the reps in Congress and their phone numbers and email addresses:

    http://www.conservativeusa.org/mega-cong.htm

    To Leppod,

I understand where you are coming from. Sometimes O’Reilly appears to undermine what Glenn is doing on his TV show. However, I thought this was one of the better interviews by O’Reilly.

You must keep in mind that Glenn is trying to reach a broader audience and he doesn’t have any agenda but to get across the truth. Those of us who watch him on a daily basis know who he is.

If you have a genuine desire to know the truth you can join Glenn here:

    http://beta.glennbeck.com/

Do not join the naysayers in forming your opinion of Beck by the government MSM. See for yourself and give him a chance to show you that he’s way ahead of the MSM. In fact he’s leading.

For a browser, try using SRWare Iron. It is a Chrome spin-off which has none of the Google spyware, and one simple adblocking file to download. I see none of the ads y’all gripe about! Regarding search engines, Alta Vista is still out there, and Iron (Chrome too I guess) have a utility to make that, or any, your default.

I have to mention this because I think Beck is right-

A few days ago I was searching information about the deficit. The top listed link was huffington post- I tried several times and the same would be up top.

I tried to repeat the experiment a few days later, and huffington post was gone from the suggested sites.

    2 questions.

If it were not true would they respond and undo the changes?

Why is Huffington Post (the choice of Obama for news) being pushed to the top?- I did notice the same when I searched weinerfacts and after it was at the top for some time, the actual site never appeared on the first search page.

This was a while ago so this has been happening for a while- be aware people- they are closing on us and keeping information away.

Yes — I got one too, after which I removed the google toolbar. I’ve know for a long time that searching for conservative Christian information is difficult with Google and I get mostly liberal propaganda. Google is definitely socialist and liberal in its offerings and promotes wikipedia like an obsession. I hate wikipedia because of its extreme liberal favoritism. Both Google and Wikipedia attempt to cover up information conservatives seek. They’re most apt to promote moveon.org, which utterly spins truth out of control. It’s utter vomit that my liberal acquaintances blindly devour and then spew out hatred of conservatives. That is the success of Google and Wikipedia, and they will prostitute themselves for whatever entitlements they can get.

Most of us have known about the bias of Google for a very long time now in the ordering of stories and other insidious things. However, none of us would have even thought that they would be instrumental, along with the State Department and the Obama minions, in overthrowing an ally like Egypt and cause this destructive chaos in the Middle East.

This is very dangerous indeed. They are playing with fire and not at the behest of the American people who most certainly and absolutely oppose their insidious power grab to overthrow our allies and interfere with established American foreign policy in such a backhanded and treacherous way.

We demand that they all be held accountable and an investigation be set up by Congress immediately.

Of course, I have long ago stopped doing business with google because, as I said, I don’t trust them.

This certainly takes it to a whole new level and if I were one of our allies I would immediately stop doing business with Google. Because it seems that the Obama minions are only targeting our allies and not our enemies.

Meanwhile Obama gave absolutely no public support to the very legitimate demands of the Iranians in protesting their own brutal theocratic dictatorship where in the past Christmas they hung 46 Iranians in 20 days. Obama only seems to side with our enemies rather than our allies. His duplicitous and treacherous foreign policy is endangering America and alienating all our allies, including Britain and Israel.

I would demand that the Congress do something about it, because we the people are going to hold these traitors to account before they destroy America and run it down into the ground, as they are doing now.

We should demand that the government stay out of anything that the Constitution does not specifically authorize them to be involved with. When we ask them to check into, or regulate something it usually just opens the door for further intrusions or regulations. I believe we have enough of both already.

@Lam2 – I work during the day so I don’t always get a chance to hear it. If Glenn truly had a beef against Google, then shouldn’t he do whatever he can to end his contract with them? At least that is what I would do because I want my actions to support my words. Yes, he may have to pay Google for breaking the contract, but I think it would be worth it to be free of them. At this point, since Glenn does not appear to be taking any action to end his relationship with Google, in my eyes he is either a) enjoying the income they generate for him too much to leave them or b) is too weak to back up his words and take action against Google. When the Google Ads no longer appear on his websites, I will take his argument against Google more seriously.

Next up: Beck sees the image of a caliph in peanut butter made by a Soros-owned company.

As has been noted, Beck may have left one stone unturned: Liz Cheney, once a State Department official, is now a Fox New Contributor; thus, Beck, too, may be in the service of the State Department. Ergo.

Food for thought. I bought a tomtom had issues with it. Contacted the company by email and I was told to enter an email address (not mine) that was an “@gmail.com” address (Google) Odd? I think so. They wanted me to enter my security code along with this gmail address and then download into my GPS the new updated maps into my GPS system. Now that sounded a little fishy to me and when I balked, they emailed me back and said oops…our bad! Now I don’t know about the rest of you but I have a tendency to do my homework on information that comes off this site and that includes surfing on sites such as the world socialist network, kilapha, world communist networks, etc. I had a sick feeling that I was being set up for something…perhaps too much paranoia is not a good thing but a healthy bit is a good thing. Listen to the Beckster. Use the best one for your needs. Google is a fine product. It climbed on top and stayed on top of the search engine market. It’s not the be-all end-all, but it DOES work great, and gets relevant results. Just take a little care when checking facts, check Google‘s work by using a different search engine for the same info and see if there’s a difference in what info gets top relevancy ratings. Google as a search engine is not going to succeed if it starts bringing up irrelevant or totally biased results. But Google as a company can be involved in things it shouldn’t be–that’s where to take care with them.

If Fox had any intellectual honesty they would not be engaged in a smear campaign against RON PAUL. The American People are waking up and their underhanded treatment of Rep. Paul will come back to bite them on the ass.

Nope…I think it’s just that WE THE PEOPLE know the TRUTH when we hear it! God blesses Glenn because he’s not “spinning” the truth! Everything of substance has to begin with the truth…Bill over thinks EVERYTHING and has lost (if he ever had it) his ability to use common sense…

Being an avid fan of Fox news, Glenn Beck et al; I am deeply concerned over the SHAM that fox news recently perpetrated against Ron Paul CPAC straw poll, in which Ron Paul WON the CPAC straw poll for president. Fox news aired the CPAC response from 2010 rather than the CPAC response from 2011 where the crowd breaks into cheers over the news that Ron Paul won the poll.
Are we being played by Fox news as well???
Yes I used the have a tip box at the bottom of all of the Blazes pages asking if they had the testicular fortitude to report THE TRUTH of what FOX NEWS DID.. their BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS RESPONSE, SAY NOTHING AND HOPE IT WILL GO AWAY, a page from obama’s play book. I am saddened by this travesty. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwo0Iyrh1Zk&feature=player_embedded

Well, I’m not a computer programmer either but I do know some really sharp computer scientists with 30+ years of experience each and they aren‘t all that worried about their seeding of the Google Empire’s data mine. That being said, if you are worried, or are just don‘t want to play in Google’s games anymore then uses this guide (put together by my CS teammates) to Unoogle yourself: http://bit.ly/ibXjCk

Flashmobs have been utlized successfully in America. The New World Order how has an effective tool to gather fringe groups en masse. Who can doubt any search engine’s power to do it?

O‘Reilly, I’m convinced more and more, is a moron. His insistence on ‘appearing’ to be objective while calling himself an “opinion and analysis” show host means he really isn‘t an ’opinion’ guy that says what he thinks. He tries to be self censoring. PC has him right where it originally was intended to grab all of us, at the root of our thought.

FATSOMANN, I agree with you 100%

Hahaha, he flat out LIES about Google working to get the revolution going.

No, that’s not true AT ALL and has 0 evidence to back it up. 2 EMPLOYEES were involved, NOT the company. It was NOT a company directive, goal, whatever to get it going. Period.

Pathetic. This wasn’t a grill. This was Bill throwing Glenn some incredibly uncritical softballs.

I’ve lost some respect for Bill after his Obama interview and have really backed off watching him. I really wouldn‘t call this O’Reilly appearance a grilling, Bill has been much harder on Glenn in the past.

I also agree that Google has been “watch list worthy” for a long time, well before Glenn mentioned it. I spend a great deal of time on the internet for my work and mainly use 3 different browsers and multiple search engines for research. I prefer Fire Fox but I also like Google Chrome. Some websites are better viewed in Explorer. I just keep my options open, and try not to get overly dependent on any one system. Each one has its own benefits and quirks.

Google has some free photo editing software called Picasa. The latest update really sent up some red flags for me. What the software does for you is scan every photo on your computer and uses its own “facial recognition’ system to find every face in every picture on your system and asks you to put a name to the face. Knowing Google has a phobia for collecting data just imagine if millions of people identified for Google millions of faces, in billions of photos… If they were to collect all that data and use it for government identification purposes they could piece together a pretty rock solid lifetime photographic history/identity trail on just about everyone. Photos with nick names, screen names, pet names, multiple birthdays all in one massive facial recognition data base. Just think… Google would know that “It is an 86.5% probability that Jane Doe also known as ‘Kibbles” was seen with John Kerry at Safeway Grocery (security footage) in Stockton Georgia buying wine at 1am… Jane is not his wife”

Scary stuff… Do not name the photos in your Google Picasa photo album… just in case!

Facebook announced the SAME software, except that based on your previous tagging of people on your pics, they will then AUTOMATICALLY recognise the person and tag them in any new pics.

“I like Beck but something happens to him when he goes on O’Reilly. He becomes a fool…the man we see on his own show is no where to be found.”

Well spotted! It simply because with Bill Beck is off-script. He doesnt have a teleprompter to help finesse his words and when he ad-libs (now genuinely) sounds like the hollow idiot he is. Besides, his script is written by someone else behind the scenes with an agenda — Beck is merely the mouthpiece.

Its why you NEVER see serious debates on Becks show like you do with Bill — Beck’s intellectual shallowness (without his teleprompter) would be exposed, as it is on softball interviews with Bill.
