Beck‘s Emotional Reaction to ’Dark Knight’ Shooting: ‘There Is a Hole in the Soul of America’

Glenn Beck had an emotional reaction to the news of Friday’s mass shooting in Aurora, Colo. at the opening of “The Dark Knight Rises,“ saying there is a ”hole in the soul of America.”

“Let’s be very clear, I don’t know if this guy had any political motivation, I do know this: He’s a monster,” Beck said. “I don’t know who will be the first to politicize this, I don‘t know who will be the first to say it’s a problem with guns and on the other side, I don‘t know who will be the first to say it’s a problem with Hollywood. Let me be the first to say there is a hole in the soul of America.”

Beck also ended his show by encouraging people to see the movie so as not to let the “terrorists” win, and he reiterated that the suspect in this shooting is, in fact, a “terrorist”:

The Church, specifically Christian, and her followers have contributed: primary and secondary education, health care and hospitals, protecting valuable art and literature from Muslim invaders in the dark ages, social services such as feeding, clothing, housing the poor, i.e. Catholic Charities.       Not really. Religion as a whole, but particularly Xtianity, is on life support. That makes me a happy Fox. It’s only a matter of time before believers are in the minority.     When Obama had to interrupt his speech to Native Americans to speak of the killings at Fort Hood, he was visibily annoyed. This may have been because the killer was a fellow Muslim
    Now, with a gun control measure in the UN, and Hillary Clinton, among others, pushing for taking away weapons from the people, it is very suspicious when Obama speaks solemnly of the deaths of those in the Colorado theater shooting, going so far as to speak of prayer for the victims.
    Why no emotion or prayer for the Fort Hood victims?
    Mayor Bloomberg, of New York City, who is obviously one of the “intellectual elite and world bankers, was on his radio show, demanding more gun control.
    This 24 year old shooter should be thoroughly investigated, although with a radical leftist as attorney general, we can’t expect much.
    Now is the time, more than ever, to hang onto our 2nd amendment rights. The elitists who got Obama into the White House are pushing to disarm us, as a helpless, unarmed population is much easier to control.

    Glenn, Rush, Hannity, and the others need to call out Hollywood and the “Oby loving media” on this.

    (With respect to families and neighborhood) One small shooting and it’s an all media and Oby blitz. “Get rid of all guns!” But Nancy hales OWS while saying she doesn’t know much about them, and Oby simply doesn‘t look twice when OWS riots and chant ’kill the police’. This is a full out Liar VS Liar war against America, and you can bet your butt that Progressives will win. We are STILL saying “let’s pray”, while at the mean time Francis, Jones, Pelosi, and Ayers have been planning this down to the second for over 30 years!       You are correct. Wait until there’s not enough food … or water … or electricity. Very few will then be able to get out of the city. For those living in the city with no possibility of getting out, you had better begin making plans with your neighbors as when this time comes, those not aligned with others simply will not survive. If nothing happens, making plans with neighbors will still be a positive point in your lives. If something does happen (as I believe it will shortly), those alliances and plans will very possibly be THE thing that saves the lives of you and your families.

    9/11 was the turning point when we could see that God was no longer blessing this country. Psalm 33:12 ~ Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.~ We have pulled away from him, we promote Gay Marriage, (sodomy) abortion, (taking innocent life) we have idols of money, corruption, and selfishness, infidelity, greed, lying, false religion, and hypocrisy, murder, drunkeness, and alcohol abuse, and child molestation. Is it any wonder the almighty is very angry with us! This tragedy is yet another reminder that lives are precious and we can be snuffed out in a second…its time to realize where our blessings come from…and acknowledge him, pray to him for forgiveness to heal this nation.

      First of all, God does not punish anyone for not being a good enough worshipper. He punishes to correct us, to get us to turn back to him. For in his presence there is mercy and comfort, something that a scoffer will never experience. And this is just a symptom of the disease of turning away from Him, it is not His punishment, but the natural outcome of turning away from Him. I for one, am grateful that He is and forever will be there for those who turn to Him and seek after Him, those families that will seek His comfort for the pain they are experiencing today. A man did this, not God, but the man did this only because He did not have the light of the Lord guiding him in love, in mercy, in lovingkindness; turning away from God leads to darkness, for He is the light of the world, and the light does not coexist with darkness, but dispels it.

Go back and look at why we declared Independence from the totalitarian government of England. The reasons are listed in the Declaration of Independence. Jesus once said, I set before you life and death; choose life. Do you really think this kid had ever been exposed to that kind of teaching?       Me and a friend were joking around and throwing around ideas for good SNL skits we’d like to see. I thought of one where we see Beck and John Boehner hanging out together. Every time there’s even something mildly upsetting (someone cuts them off in traffic, Baskin Robbins ran out sprinkles for ice cream cones, etc.) they start to blubber. Then they see a worried looking woman and ask her what’s wrong. She goes into a story about how she and her husband lost their jobs, and they don’t have health insurance, and her daughter is sick and they can’t afford medicine, and then they cut back to Beck and Boehner, and they’re completely dry-eyed.
