Glenn Beck took to his show tonight to demonstrate the first phase of his planned headquarters – the American Dream Labs – by showing audience members the brand new set piece he will be using to deliver a series of 3-to-4 minute speeches billed as “the speech the President of the United States should have given.” The speeches will be written by an as-yet unidentified former Presidential speechwriter.
That set piece? A set designed as an exact replica of the Oval Office, originally from the film JFK. Beck also has paid to have an exact replica of the bust of Winston Churchill which President Obama refused to accept placed in exactly the position where that bust would have sat.
Want to see the new set for yourself? Watch the clip below:

Posted on April 9, 2012 at 9:56pmNo Glenn! It would be better in my opinion if you, yourself, didn’t sit behind that desk. It would be better to have another figure (Obama lookalike, George Washington character, etc.) sitting there reading the “speech that should have been given”.
My husband and I reacted the same immediately, and WE LOVE YOU. It is giving a very wrong message for you to position yourself this way, and it will give the left alot of cannon fire. The idea is OK, but it looks too presumptuous for you to do it. It will have the same negative effect on you that Obama had when he stood behind a Presidential seal on a podium BEFORE being elected.

Posted on April 9, 2012 at 10:06pmI had a similar reaction when he said “fireside speeches” would be given. I thought he should use the average citizen or respected citizens like Alveda Kings or Rabbi Lapin for each speech.

Posted on April 9, 2012 at 10:58pmDid you hear what he said? Greedy global corporations!!!
Romney is backed by the same elite world bankers, global corporations, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Credit Suisse Group (based in Switzerland), PriceWaterhouseCoopers (based in the United Kingdom), Morgan Stanley, HIG Capital, Barclays, Kirkland & Ellis, Bank of America, EMC Corp, that backed Obama in 08 and are still backing Obama in 12. Why do you think that is? How is it that people just follow the same old thing, because he promises the same old thing? Now we find out that the company based in Spain (Scytl) that will count all the votes across the U.S. is managed by, guess…, several former Goldman Sachs executives.
Paul’s top contributors are the USAF, US Navy, US Army and individual contributors. I think I, as POTUS, would rather be beholden to individuals and our military over the likes of those elite world bankers and corporations.

Posted on April 10, 2012 at 1:42amldaopines – I politely totally disagree. The Liberal Media will hardly mention anything Glenn and GBTV does – everything they do they loose viewership on their network and Glenn gains them.
They are paying a very close attention to what Glenn is doing and they are scared to death. Beck purchasing Las Colinas studios was monumentally Brillaiant and there hardly was a peep out of the Media – not even Fox can afford to have Glenn on their air.
Everyone needs to leave Glenn alone and let God guide him – we are witnessing a Tomas Edison type of American emerging right before our very eyes – and Glenn is giving us as individuals the power to change America.
Glenns news program after his TV show is making a great deal of noise – There are a couple of people on the News that are becoming Superstars. The liberal News Media is getting slathered by the Whole GBTV and Blaze Combinations and he has hardly even begun.
Just look at what happen to Current TV. The Libs are mad and all of us Conservative Patriots are Glad.
Thank you Glenn – keep doing what your doing! God Bless.

Posted on April 10, 2012 at 2:00amWell, thinking about my own post a bit more…
What’s the difference between Glenn starring on his own movie set as POTUS and Jane Fonda starring on a different movie set as Nancy Reagan? Or Meryl playing Margaret Thatcher? The difference is that you seldom see a libertarian/conservative playing a Progressive to make a political point and change the way we think about things. Glenn‘s replica is a movie set and he’s writing the script. Now I’m sort of intrigued. Hollywood may be being reborn, and it could be informative and amusing at the same time.

Posted on April 10, 2012 at 3:32amWOW, no word on The Blaze yet that Santorum has decided to continue running his campaign. You would think that Glenn, being a Santorum endorsee, would have that on quick. Well, I think he may be a closet Romney supporter, but does not want anyone to know it as it could hurt his ratings. Does not matter. If you want to know the truth, listen to this radio show with guest Ben Swan, a Fox affiliate rising star, and listen to the truth. Can you say brokered convention?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyAHBtnTFSM&feature=youtu.be
You have to listen to the whole spot to understand everything they are talking about. You can skip the ad in just a few seconds. Paul is going to win this and I do not believe that the GOP can stop it at this point. They never expected this from Paul supporters. They changed the rules in the beginning, thinking it would help the candidate that they promised the coverage and support to win the nomination, but did not know that Paul supporters would use it against him. WOW!
Ron Paul is winning but the media will not tell you. Do yourself a favor and find out youself by listening.

Soros, GE, and Arab Brotherhood did.
Did anyone ever tell Obama that that JFK desk he uses in the Oval Office was a gift from Queen Victoria to the US President. It was in the Smithsonian Storage until JFK took it out. Now Obama is using a desk from his hated British Empire. Obama’s ancestors in Kenya probably were forced to harvest the wood used to make the desk.

Posted on April 10, 2012 at 2:29pmThe difference is… First, my immediate reaction to this story is “meglomania or dramatic effect. But I digress. The difference between this and a Jane Fonda playing Nancy Reagan is that Glenn purports to be giving a speech the President SHOULD HAVE GIVEN. He will be playing Glen Beck standing in a fake oval office speaking passionately about his beliefs.
Jane Fonda will be collecting a paycheck for a job playing a part, what she does for a living, the part of a person whom she is possibly hostile to, and cashing in on the irony of it being her.

Beck just happens to replicate history.
I don’t see how that speaks to his ego. People on the Web are so quick to judge.
You may not approve, or care for it. You may not have the mad money to spend on something so extravagant. Maybe you don’t have any interest in historical things. Frankly it’s not for me. But I see his passion. I admire his enthusiasm for this country.

Well, Beck is building a network, complete with stage sets, writers, researchers and intellects that can build their own megaphone that can be heard far and wide. While losing an affiliate in Dallas might seem odd, it is merely a minor setback. I’m sure that another station will eventually pick the radio show in the near future. But his financing comes from mainly GBTV. This snowball rolling downhill is getting larger and gaining momentum. It is the future, and Beck knows it.

Benjamin Netanyahu said “Isreal does not need the U.S. to help Isreal, Isreal can defend itself,” and he is right. So what does Glenn do? Turns his back on the only candidate that is like one of our Founding Fathers because he thinks he will not help Isreal? Give me a break.
I still think that Glenn does a lot of good, don’t get me wrong, I just think he is helping us to get four more years of Obama or Obama Lite by endorsing Santorum who said, “One of the criticisms I make is to what I refer to as more of a Libertarianish right. They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues. That is not how traditional conservatives view the world. There is no such society that I am aware of, where we’ve had radical individualism and that it succeeds as a culture.”

My instincts tell me that is a photo-shopped photo because: 1) it came from mediamaters; 2) Bush ALSO did it; 3) it looks phony with the his heels barely on the very edge of the desk ~ great flexibility for a man his age 4) EVERYONE is staring at Obama (probably in disbelievement) and NO ONE is looking at Bush (probably because it was spliced from another photo). But if you have sweet dreams over this photo, have at it.

Posted on April 9, 2012 at 10:58pmBush was a progressive rino himself… Just not near as progressive as Obama is… Ford was a one term president, that’s largely because he pardoned Nixon…
They all showed disrespect to the desk, one of America’s most iconic historic artifacts…
Unfortunately I wouldn’t be surprised if other presidents did it as well, when they thought no one was looking…
Guess no ever told them when they were kids, to ‘keep your feet off the furnature”.
