Beck‘s Very Epic Analysis of Obama’s ‘New Nationalism’ Speech — ‘He Is Lying’

President Barack Obama has gone on record numerous times denying the innovation and success of the free market. During Wednesday’s episode of the Glenn Beck Program on GBTV, Glenn noted that while at the Fox News network, he was advised to never call the president a “liar” under any circumstances. The logic being that the public would prefer to hear that the president “misspoke” rather than be lead to believe he could lie.
Well, tonight, on his own network, Glenn did just that — call Obama a liar — and he backed up the assertion with historical facts and figures.
Airing a clip in which the president repeatedly tells an audience, and the greater American public, that capitalism has “never worked” — not in 1920′s, the 1950‘s and 60’s, nor in the 1980′s — Glenn took major issue with Obama’s “fairy tales about history” and proved the president wrong by pointing to the historical instances that made each of those decades Obama smeared as a “failure of the free market,” an actual success.
Citing presidents Calvin Coolidge and Warren Harding‘s efforts to undo the Depression caused by Woodrow Wilson’s progressive policies as a launchpad, Glenn explained how tax cuts and dramatic reduction in the size of government implemented post-Wilson, gave way to the auto-industry boom of the 1920′s.
“Auto production went through roof,” Glenn said, and increased by “191 percent.”
Driving opened the door to entirely new opportunities for Americans. With transportation more widely accessible, people could travel farther for their jobs, thus expanding their options. And, with increased auto production came demands for related goods and services such as rubber, steel, leather, paint, gasoline, and road and highway construction. “Companies had to be created to meet the demand of just one product,” Glenn marveled.
In other words, the ripple effect of the auto industry continued to grow exponentially. With cars came new innovations and more widespread adoption of existing inventions like the telephone. By 1930, Glenn pointed out that “70 times” the number of people had flown on an airplane than they had in the previous decade.
With radio came advertising, and while films had been around for some time prior, it wasn‘t until the 1920’s that iconic film director and producer Cecil B. DeMille made movies both famous, and lucrative.
Glenn went back to the 1920′s, when he cited that the average salary went up 37 percent between 1920 and 1929.
“But it did not work?” Glenn mocked.
“He is lying.”
“Everyone benefited from the bottom up.”
When speaking of the “cancer of progressivism,” Glenn, addressing Obama, challenged him or anyone to “name the Communist country that is, in its heart, better than America.”
Name the Communist country “that has done more,” Glenn pressed. Such a country cannot be named because it does not exist, “because Marxists go dead inside.”
Glenn maintained that most Capitalists do want to help, but that Obama “doesn’t think so.”
If a doctor makes more money than most, “he must be cutting off people’s feet for cash,” according to the president’s logic.“That’s what I like to call a lie,” Glenn said emphatically.
At one point during the segment, Glenn asked if the audience needed “evidence.”
Delivering the coup de grace to Obama’s unyielding assertion that capitalism has always and forever been a complete failure, Glenn brought up a curious letter written by a foreigner living in the U.S. in 1917. The impressed man wrote:
“We rented an apartment in a worker’s district. That apartment, at $18 a month, is equipped with all sorts of conveniences that we Europeans were quite un-used to: Electric lights, gas cooking-range, bath, telephone, automatic service-elevator, and even a chute for the garbage.”
The author was devout Marxist Leon Trotsky.

One thing I find interesting, is that REPEATEDLY, he states that although he does not agree with abortion, we will “fight to protect a woman’s right to choose” WHY !?!?!?!?! Because he is the governor. He has to protect the laws that the idiots in Masachussetts voted in. Yes he could attempt to influence those laws, but based on the statement above, NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING that he said is supportive of abortion. Notice the words, even though “I disagree with abortion”. At the end of the day the Mormons are staunch anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage (ever heard of Prop 8). If you are are a leader as Romney has been, you tow the line – PERIOD! No equivocation, no alteration, no room for error. You either support it, or you are simply not a leader.
The problem is that most people don’t pay attention closely enough. Yes Romney is riding a thin line in some of his statements, but so do ALL politicians. This is why we need to pay attention closely. I am not saying vote for Romney, but I am saying, you need to review the videos and keep in mind the aspects of his life and what he actually said in mind. I think his current stance IS and will CONTINUE TO BE, Anti-abortion, and ABSOLUTELY anti gay-marriage.

Capitalism doesn’t work when you eliminate the risk to business- by allowing the government to bail out companies which made dumb decisions. We can look at what diversity and goevrnment intrusion has done to industry as well. How bad is it here when companies would opt out of building in America to build companies in China. What does that tell American about what government is doing to business. What does it say when companies can‘t build new plants in right to works states that need businesses badly because of the DSL says it’s has to use union workers.
I for one am open to abolishing government’s roles within my state even though we have a lot of military work here. I’m for giving 5% to the government for defense and giving 10% of my income to my state. Cutting out all federal government programs and bueacrats that operate with in my state.

Mr. Beck‘s main premise is that the President is lying because he doesn’t believe what he is saying. Even if Mr. Beck could “look into his eyes and see his soul” and even if the President didn’t believe his words, although he’s been saying he same things over and over and over for 8 years, the truth of a statement doesn’t depend on personal beliefs. This is a relativist argument that they is no objective truth that can be observed. It’s anti- religious argument in origination, as well as anti scientific.
Mr Beck’s other premise is that the President is lying because Adam Smith wrote more than one book. Truth doesn‘t depend on any one book’s authorship. Anyway, Adam‘s Smith’s books are complimentary. One doesn’t refute the other. And Mr. Beck must be hoping that his audience has not read either Adam Smith book or Hyek’s Road to Serfdom because all three describe what the President described in his speech and all three argue for the need of government regulation.
Mr. Beck invoked Atlas Shugged. In the movie it was business leaders who were using government to attack their competition. The increasing regulation was not ideologically driven, it was a business tactic. It was not Socialism or Communism but firms trying to limit their competition that was the cause of the breakdown of society. It’s out now on DVD.

Yet the bank itself is giving it”s people millions in bonuses..Millions..$$$ Who made this right??? they were one of the banks that got a BIG bailout..
There is something definitely wrong with the way things are done here. The taxpayers are paying a dear price for greed of elected officials, banks etc.
I don’t know how to change this.

In the first 100 years corporations were under the complete control of the States. They could not engage in political activities, could only engage in business activities relating to their corporate charter, could only own property to support their corporate charter and only own stock in their own business. Their charters were for limited periods of time and they could be shut down by the state if they violated their charters. The Officers could be held liable and be prosecuted for crimes committed by the corporation. Now they have been given Corporate Personhood and the protection of the constitution, something the founders were against. What we have today is called Crony Capitalism and is a construct of Progressive policies.

The conservatives will try to manipulate the situation and skew the facts to make a person believe this is a bad thing by only citing the FACTS that the liberal car committed a traffic violation and killed a mom and 2 kids. EVIL IGNORANT CONSERVATIVES!
They completely IGNORE the other FACTS that work was created for the auto body shop, the parts vendors, and the claims adjuster. Lets not forget the work that was created for the funeral parlor, the florists and the grave diggers!
See those FACTS are completely ignored and the whole event is skewed to look like a “baaad” thing. Those bigoted conservatives only give you 1/2 of the story and you would be surprised how many mindless sheep just buy into it. In this speech, in this particular case, Mr. Beck is wrong. His opinion that the President is lying in his speech is unfounded. There is simply no evidence of him doing so.

In the beginning of the movie Moore talks about his childhood when a single parent working could support a family and have a nice house and a car.
Guess what, that was under capitalism. It works.

Mississippi’s sec of state, pulled the absentee ballots form on precinct in one county and over 60% of the total votes in that precinct were absentee, and 2/3rds of them were witnessed by the same person, filled out in the same hand writing. This was rampant nation wide. Millions and millions of college students were coached on voting absentee in their home towns, and voting the day of the election in their college towns. We need to stop the steeling of the next election, conservatives should audit every absentee ballot, photograph every person that walks into every poll, post them online, so facial recongination software can pick out those voting early and often.

The concept of a progressive income tax is straight out of Marx’s Communist Manifesto.
Marx’s form of taxation intends to gradually make all but the elite rulers, dirt poor.
Russia had a progressive tax similar to America’s tax structure until they realized it was destroying people’s natural incentive to improve their wealth resulting in less revenue for the ruling class to remain the ruling elite.

I agree with Glenn on almost everything except when he says the GOP is just as progressive as the democrats. I know some GOP that are but the democrats have caused most of our problems either in a presidential role or a congressional body role just as they are now. Back in the days of Clinton, the only reason things were so prosperous was the nation in 1996 we had the GOP take control of congress. Now he is criticizing that Speaker of the House Newt. We never heard a chirp about Newt being a progressive by name until Newt moved in front of Romney. Beck is not that anti-Newt but pro-Romney,yea I know he claims to be for Backmann but he has got to know Backmann will not be nominated. If anyone leaves Newt, they certainly will not go to Romney but to Backmann which will bring Newt down and Romney up or make them close. Newt is way out in front now. That’s my take. As I said I agree with Beck about 99% of the time, especially on Obama but I see too much pro-Romney or lack of any negative stories on Romney and a chess game being played out to help Romney without it looking like he is!

It could have excerps from the other books already in print from the guests he has had on the show in the past.
