Beck’s Viewers Rally, Fill 11 Tractor-Trailers With Food for the Needy in Just One Hour

It all started with a bowl of soup.
On Wednesday evening, Glenn Beck unveiled the third stage of his four-part plan to reclaim America with an emphasis on charitable giving. Beck was inspired by Paulina, a righteous gentile who saved 500 lives during the Holocaust by feeding its victims. Conversely, he was equally disturbed by the fact that perfectly good meals donated to soup kitchens across America are being turned away in droves due to Nanny State regulations. Incredibly, within just one hour of Beck’s broadcast, over 500,000 meals were donated by the GBTV audience, filling 11 tractor-trailers.

Typical response, people need you and you are there. I hope this goes viral. I’m sending an email to friends that don’t subscribe to GBTV but love Glenn and would love to help our citizens. Our gov’t gives millions and millions of our dollars to nations that hate us. STOP IT!!!!! We give because it’s the right thing to do. I never did believe we should help the poor all over the globe while we have homeless people all around us. We’ll help each other. Glenn you truly are an inspiration to us all. Where things went horribly WRONG was when the government decided to take over charitable needs in society and provide one-size-fits-all government PROGRAMS supposedly designed to help people, but in reality designed to enlarge Federal power and foster dependence on these programs. Then the unprincipled politicians figured out how to stay in office forty years by promising ever bigger and better benefits through these programs to society’s have-nots. This is one of the reasons we have the bloated and out-of-control government we have today. In order to trim the size of that government, we MUST create a PRIVATE CITIZEN social safety net for the truly needy in our midst.
You CANNOT dismantle the government bureaucracy without addressing the real needs that were the excuse for creating it in the first place. Also, people have been brainwashed to think the government is the proper place to look for this kind of help for multiple generations spanning three to four DECADES, and it will take time and the willingness to step up to reverse this mindset.
I see this as one of the basic building blocks to rebuilding a just and free society that has virtually disappeared beneath the weight of an oppressive Federal government and its multitude of “programs”.

I think the American People deserve him. I think it‘s going to take the World War and Depression he’s going to cause to wake them up. When I hear young people talking about how evil Government Thugs are and then hear them suggest more govenment as the solution I have no more patience; I want them to learn, one way or another. And history says they’ll have to learn the hard way.
That said, Votes never solve this problem, not for long. The trajectory is set; birth, youth, life, old age, death. Nothing is exempt from this process. Not even America.

Who cares if it’s a black baby (sorry, ‘African-American’ is a dumb-assed term unless they hold dual citizenship!) or a yellow baby or a red baby or a white baby? Poverty demands no color. I’m so sick and tired of hearing bleeding heart brain dead imbeciles like you talk about blacks not having a fair shake yadda yadda yadda. Every town I fly into has black people driving buses at airports, driving cabs, and they’re not crying and complaining … of course, they’re usually speaking in Jamaican or Haitan or African accents and they know all too well how great this country can be for someone who wants to get off their fat-a55 and work for a living!
I am white, anglo-saxon, but was born into lower-class. I didn’t whine about it … I had a job at age 10 mowing lawns, janitored at age 12 every weekend in a machine shop in Kankakee, IL, and as an adult NEVER asked for a handout, but worked my ass off 16 hour days, 7 days weeks, and graduated to upper middle class. All you have to do is want to work and you can make it, no matter what color you are. My father came to this country from war-torn Hungary when he was 16 yrs old and he did well also by the end of his life.
So leave the racist crap in your own circles because we don’t believe in the **** your side likes to espouse!

I do not have official statistics and it would be quite interesting to know what they are if they are in existence…
but every time I’ve seen mention of it, conservatives outgive progressives by a lot. For example, when you hear with Joe Biden gave in charitable giving … my gosh! Talk about a stingy bastard!

So how actually vets to the actual charitable cause. Many churches buy real estate to expand the empire while many have preachers living large and many more give to the tv evangelists who are often considered men of a whole different class.
