Belafonte Tells ‘One Nation’: ‘Insidious’ Tea Party Is ‘Perilously Close’ to Achieving ‘Villainous Ends’

“Abraham Lincoln knew the evil of slavery and in abolishing that evil saved America. Although slavery may have been abolished, crippling poison, racism, still persists. And the struggle still continues… Perhaps the greatest threat of all is the undermining of our Constitution and the systematic attacks against the inalienable rights of the citizens of this nation. Rights that are guaranteed by our Constitution. At the vanguard of this insidious attack is the Tea Party. This band of misguided citizens is moving perilously close to achieving villainous ends.”

Well after all, Barack Obama, he’s an ordinary fascist socialist man
Who desires nothing more than an ordinary chance
To make all people live exactly as he likes, and do precisely what he wants…
An average fascist socialist man is he, of no especially clever whim
Who likes to control everyone’s life, free of strife
With everyone supinely doing whatever he thinks is best … … for him
Well… just an ordinary fascist socialistic man…

    BUT!

Let some protesters be allowed to speak out against his grand controlling schemes and his serenity will be through
They’ll protest his grand controlling plans, from the cellar to the dome
And then go on to the enthralling fun of piece by piece eviscerating him…

I think the majority of people with a pulpit to speak, believe the untruths about the Tea Party broadcast by main stream leftist media. Why would they think the Tea Party movement is a good thing if they are led to believe that they represent the agenda that “they” the progressives actually represent. Control of every aspect of your life, and removal of liberty and freedom. If only more of them could get their heads out of the sand.

It is like something out of a comic stip. “Villainous ends.“ He is right in that ”Perhaps the greatest threat of all is the undermining of our Consititution and the systematic attacks against the inalienable rights of the citizens of this nation.” The problem is I am pretty sure he and I do not agree on what inalienable rights are afforded by the constitution. The sad truth is, by using the same lingo conservatives use regarding our rights and consitution, it can confuse the messege to those who are less informed.

Belafonte has confused the intent of reform I.e., to reshape, with love of the Constitution. The Tea Party wants to restore our Constitution, because we love it and honor it. We donlt want to reshape it into something different. This kind of doublespeak is typical of these Orwellian inspired socialists.

It is so sad to see entertainers try to entertain without a script or preparation. Liberals have absolutely no idea what the stakes are if Obama and his administration have their way with all those creepy policies of freebies, entitlements, and taking over businesses. They really don’t have a clue, like I didn’t have a clue until someone showed me by taking the time. First, they asked me if I ever read the Constitution and I said yes, which was the first lie. So, they asked me what was in it. I fell all over myself, but they never once put me down. They were kind and patient and told me what it said. Then, they handed me a pocket constitution and told me there would be a test (kidding). They challenged me to a debate about it. This went on for over 6 months. I learned so much from them, I cannot begin to tell you here. All I can think of is that God must have led them to me, to open my heart, eyes, and mind to truth about socialism and communism and all liberal policies. I am still learning, but we need to be patient with these people – loving them while knowing that they just don’t know or understand what is at stake.

This is what gets me the most….You see the immigration groups and the Cogressmen who push immigration reform at protests with Progressives….Do they not understand the only reason immigration here is so strict is due to Progressives…Progressives created the income tax law which is why the U.S. became so strict….All about money…It isn‘t security it’s money….These immigration groups march with the people who enslaved them and restricted them to a God blessing..

It seems it is important to remember that it had to be amended to end slavery and to give women the right to vote. So although the founding fathers provided an excellent framework, it cannot be seen as a perfect document that must be followed blindly. . It seems that pretty much everyone can agree on two things. The economy is a mess and we are angry with Congress. We may disagree on how we got here and how to fix the economy, but please consider checking out FAIRELECTIONSNOW.ORG to see a start at how to fix Congress. Right now, it takes an extreme amount of money for anyone to run for office. So if a person does not have millions of their own, they have to get money from big donors or corporations, which places even the most ethical person in a compromising situation. Without campaign finance changes, elections and legislation will continue to be influence unfairly. As far as jobs being shipped overseas, I really don’t know much about the trade agreements, but I will definitely look into it. However, where is the outrage at the corporations who only outsourced so they could increase their profits and their CEO pay? Unfortunately, we own stocks of these companies in our mutual funds and the fund managers will drop a company from the portfolio if it is not showing a profit, because we will sell the fund if we are not making money for our retirement. This interconnectedness also seems to be effecting unemployment, because CEOs and Boards have told shareholders that even though they are back up to pre-recession profits, they are not going to hire back those they laid off, because that would cut into profits. When a company lowers its bottom line, it means they laid people off, not that the CEO took a pay cut or became more frugal in other expenses. These are also the practices that make people look into organizing labor unions. What else can they do? Our investments in stocks is actually how the TARP money eventually got approved. The HOUSE originally voted AGAINST it, but immediately the stock market started diving, and they were told that they were destroying people’s retirements, etc. and that the economy was going to crash, and so they passed it. As far as those who did not pay taxes last year, the owners of the Dodgers didn’t and neither did GE and Exxon even though they made unbelievable profits last year. They have found offshore tax shelters, and many other corporations do the same thing, which makes their claims false that taxes are threatening their business. However, they do send lots of other money to DC in the form of lobbyists. FAIRELECTIONSNOW.ORG would help the situation somewhat, but those in Congress should not be allowed to be a lobbyists for at least 5 years after they leave (10 would be better) and anyone who worked as a lobbyist, should not be allowed to run for Congress for at least 5 years (never would be better). As far as others who didn’t pay income tax, many are full time working people, but who were paid so little that they can barely live on it to begin with. It is also important for us to recognize that those of us in the top bracket have many more right offs than those making much less, so we don’t really pay the actual rate. Warren Buffet the billionaire said that he actually paid a far less rate of taxes than his secretary did because of right offs. Doesn’t the amount of money we have left after we pay our taxes really have more impact on our lives than the actual percentage? A million dollars after taxes even if the rate was 99% would be much easier to live on, than $20,000 without paying any taxes. AGAIN, the amount of money people are paid for different jobs has been determined by a completely arbitrary system. There are official tax tables online which show the percentage rates for top earners historically. Since the 40s there have been very few years where the rate was less than 50% and then the salary amount was much lower, so more of the person’s money was taxed at the higher rate, so it seems they may not have paid less, and the economy was none the worse for it. Although I do not want to bring religion into the discussion, others seem to correlate it with things that don’t seem compatible. In regard to security, I am not at all an expert, but I could not find anything in the New Testament where Jesus condoned ANY kind of violence and in fact he even said that if we are unjustly enslaved, we should not resist, but instead try to .So it seems he would be very much against pretty much any war, although he would probably understand our involvement in WWII. It also seems confusing that people seem to correlate Capitalism with Christianity, since Capitalism is based on everyone for them self and Jesus said whatever you do to the least of my brothers you do unto me. It is ok for us to disagree on how things should be run, but to make correlations between economic systems (capitalism, socialism, communism) and good vs evil, does nothing to solve the problems we face and actually does damage in the tension it produces between people and the stress it brings personally. Socialism and Nazi Germany are said as if they are the same thing. We did not get involved in WWII, because of Hitler’s economic policies, it was because he was exterminating people. Also, a country’s economic system is separate from its political system, but that is a whole other discussion. Even those countries that are considered to have Democratic Socialism, do not resemble Nazi Germany in any way, such as Sweden, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom. Somehow we have lost the ability to see things from other people’s perspectives. We should be wary of those on either side of the issue that say things that pit us against each other. Both sides use exaggeration and fear tactics to try to accomplish their goals, however, it not only keeps us from finding real solutions, but also affects our individual lives very negatively. So any time anyone in ANY organization talks in ways that divide people, we should be wary of what their motivations are. I hope both sides will start to realize that divided we ALL fail.

Ya, less Gov. spending, a balanced budget, honesty, belief in God, and self reliance are SOOO villainous and insidious. I know I myself am awakened by The Emperors theme from Star Wars every morning.
