Berlusconi to Young Women: Seek Rich Guys Like Me

(AP) — Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi is advising young women to follow the money when looking for a partner, saying women like him and “I’m loaded.”

Berlusconi, who was embroiled in a sex scandal last year and is known for his gaffes, also raised eyebrows with a joke about Hitler.

The billionaire businessman appeared at a convention Sunday of the youth wing of his People of Freedom party. When questioned by one of his Cabinet ministers — a woman — he joked about marriages of convenience, saying women were lining up for him because “I’m a nice guy“ and ”I’m loaded.”

He also recalled a much criticized TV interview he once gave, when “I said to a girl to look for a wealthy boyfriend. This suggestion is not unrealistic.”

He also claimed women favor older men, thinking that “he’s old. He dies and I inherit.”

The 73-year-old Berlusconi was engulfed in a sex scandal last year centering on his purported dalliances with young women, including an escort. Berlusconi’s wife Veronica Lario said last year she was seeking a divorce. They are now separated.

The media baron has said he is “no saint” but denied ever paying for sex.

Money can’t buy you love, but it can finance a lot of enjoyable attempts at it.

He’s a flirt just like every healthy Italian male. He also is on record of telling some young beautiful women that he had a very wealthy son who was available. I will always respect him for the way he stood by W when every one dissed him. I also loved what he said about the Islamic terrorists. But then, I have dual citizenship in Italy. And, I also can’t stand beta males, very B-O-R-I-N-G. I have my own business, am successful and like successful men. If I had to choose between this old man and 0-zero, there’s no contest.

Do a little research on Berlusconi — not hard on a quick google. Try things like Berlusconi and the words arrogant pompous etc. Or since he has compared himself to Napoleon and to Jesus Christ, those are also eye opening googles. He is quite a piece of work.

This is the epitome of shallowness…. and if shared by the people, the degradation of a society. Not that we have any room to talk, lol.

All you sheep flock and gather before the rich. Sell your lives and souls for the almighty dollar, which is about to collapse. Make sure you seduce into gold as it may melt and harbor you for eternity. These are great and wealthy men some of whom will Andrew Luster you while you sleep!

when did this become Silvio Berlusconi’s version of e-harmony?—but as long as we’re on the subject of unsolicited needless advice, I recommend Mr. Berlusconi ask GW Bush about the proper technique for ducking out of the way of thrown objects.

Unfortunately there are not as many “rich guys” as their are poor women. Good luck finding a rich guy!

And this is an important story why? This seems more like something I would see at the grocery store checkout line…. Not really up to the standards I usually expect here…..

Freelancer, I‘ve noticed a variety of ’types’ of stories here and I like the diversity. Some are light, some are heavy. Virtually all are relevant in one way or another.

I believe in love. With that said, if you hang out with wealthy people, you’ll fall in love with someone with money. Sounds like a plan.

The opening line to Pride & Prejudice: A man in possession of a large fortune must be in want of a wife.
That being said: I’ll make my own damn fortune. I don’t need a man to do it for me. [But if there is a good one out there willing to work with me on that, all the better.]

      @gzpanic
Whether you believe me or not, most women are not gold diggers looking to hook up with
a man for his money. Women just want someone who can take care of them, love them, respect
them and be reliable. I work at a daycare and I think that many women today are single mothers who struggle financially because she is the one who has to take care of the children as soon as the dad walks out. A loyal hard-working young man is VERY HARD to find ! ( btw, these are just my observations- I’m not with an older man my dad would kill me ! )
