Bestselling Author Brad Thor Endorses Rick Santorum

Brad Thor Endorses Rick Santorum

New York Times #1 bestselling novelist Brad Thor announced Monday his endorsement of former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum for President.

“There is one presidential candidate who understands and can swiftly address the threats facing our nation – and that candidate is Rick Santorum,” Thor said in a statement.

“Rick Santorum has stood strong against radical dictators in Syria and Iran, the gravest threat to our national security.  Rick knows that the world would be forever changed by Iran getting a nuclear weapon, and he has sworn to keep this from happening,” he continued. “I am excited to add my endorsement to the growing list of prominent supporters who understand that Rick Santorum is the right man, at the right time to lead our nation.”

A senior Santorum advisor tells POLITICO that the Santorum campaign is talking to Thor about a prominent role on the campaign trail.

Thor is the author of The Lions of Lucerne, Path of the Assassin, State of the Union, Blowback, Takedown, The First Commandment, and The Last Patriot. Thor has expressed conservative viewpoints as a commentator on the “Glenn Beck Program” and shows on several cable news networks. He has also been a guest speaker at events for The Heritage Foundation.

we will vote for ”ANYONE BUT obama 2012” only to remove that vile communist obama from office. no one will ever be as anti-American and anti-semitic as obama is,

and all of the GOP candidates are all 100% AMERICAN, something obama can NEVER spin, lie, or try to claim to be.

I agree with the sentiments spoken by a few here. Vote for your preference in the primaries, but support the eventual nominee to evict Obama.
Don’t drop out because of disappointment and let Obama win.
Me? I would prefer Allen West, but could vote for Santorum or Backmann. I WILL support whoever the eventual nominee is.

I agree. There are only two tried and true conservatives in this race: Santorum and Bachman. Both have been consistently so for decades.

The establishment Republicans and the media are doing the same thing to them they did with Reagan in 1980 with the term “electable”. Neither liked Reagan and did not want him in the White House.

Funny how the “Un-electable Actor” won a Landslide victory.

Listen, I too like Rick Santorum. His conservative views align with my own. Same for Michele Bachmann, she’s great. Here’s the problem: he hasn’t caught fire yet. Maybe he will once the primaries actually start. And like it or not, charisma has a lot to do with winning. Rick has zero in that department and would be going up against a guy with tons of charisma. Michele has it. In a different sort of way, Newt has it. And, as much as I don’t want Romney as our Republican nominee, he has it in spades. Sorry to say it, but Rick Santorum is a nice conservative wet noodle.

I’ve heard that too, but I don’t really see it. When I heard Senator Santorum speak at the Iowa straw poll, I thought he was a very passionate speaker. Perhaps I have a tendency to look past the charisma facade of some candidates to the substance. I agree that the general public doesn’t look at candidates the same as those of us that are interested in politics. Charisma and sound bites will sway their votes from a more qualified candidate. Wish it wasn’t true, but it is. Regardless, I will still vote for Santorum in the caucuses.

    YES!
I’m so glad people are finally seeing Santorum as we all do here at home! I would vote for Bachmann or Santorum in the primary. PERIOD. They are the ONLY two in the current field who don’t cowtow and flip-flop their talking points to placate the current audience du’jour. They both stand by their conservative principals, voting records, morals, and values – unlike Gingrich, et. al.

I agree with Stoic One. Don’t let all this flying bullcrap get in your eyes. Obama has made a short, mysterious career of dirty play. Stay calm, and vote for your favorite candidate in the primaries. If your candidate doesn’t get the nod, then hold your nose and vote for the RINO that the Obamamedia gives us (you know, like we did last time.)
I’m afraid that is the best we can do. But whatever you do…VOTE!!! The worst thing you can do is stay home. The worst thing. If we all put our feet where our hearts are, the best man would win.

There are all those voices out there pushing for Romney, Gingrich and Paul BUT we can see there are others like Santorum and Bachmann shining in the eyes of those who are truly looking for the right person. Remember, there IS still time to help raise the numbers for Santorum/Bachmann. The fight is not over yet! God Bless America! I Stand With Israel! Merry Christmas!!!!

He seems like a nice guy, but he can’t beat Obama. His message plays to a specific portion of voters. To beat Billion Dollar Barack he’d have to energize more than hardcore conservatives and have a message that independents as well as disenfranchised democrats believe in.

He’s my pick too!!! Hope he can gain traction..because if romney gets in, nothing will change. The changing of America will only slow down…because of the progressives, ie romney, gingrich, huntsman etc. The only way to save the Republic is to elect Santorum or Bachmann. BUT no matter who gets picked in the primary, I will vote for that person. Because if obuma gets re-elected, its all over for America…We will be marxist/socialist…well on our way to communism.

Polls don’t mean ****. Ron Paul is up in the polls in Iowa – yes – but who is he up in the polls with – republicans that will be at the caucuses – no – with libertarians and young people that won’t be caucusing. All this crap about polls – when I’ve been asked – I always LIE to them – because they are always slanted to give a particular result.

I don’t care if Santorum rises in the polls – I want him to get the vote at the caucus and the primary.

Polls don’t mean crap. Vote for the person that is best equipped to turn this dam thing around or at least buy us some more time to prepare. I’m voting for Santorum in the primary. I believe sincerely that pretty much ANY of them are capable of beating Obama, but beating Obama doesnt save the union. It just removes the bullet from the wound.

Rick is logical, calm, a family man with significant achievements and a true conservative. I don’t see how we could do much better. Newt is much more glib but he throws out pronouncements on every hot button issue and always with a big government theme. Even if you can accept that situation you still have to choke down his baggage.

It’s true, the mainstream Republicans seem to want to keep santorum a secret. He’s being ****-blocked by the likes of Gingrich, but I do think bits of his campaign are seeping into public view here and there. I think it might do us some good to see a little more santorum–spread his message around, let everyone get a taste of what he’s like.

Finally some more people are realizing that Santorum is a great, qualified candidate!

Listen, people–I understand that if we don’t get the nominee we want we may have to hold our nose and vote for “anyone except Obama”. But during the primary, PLEASE vote for the candidate that your heart is choosing. Forget “electability” and all that worthless human reasoning…pray to God for direction and vote intentionally. In the end, God is sovereign and no one will be sitting as president in the White House unless the Lord puts him/her there. And God has His reasons…reasons we cannot see. Forget pragmatism and follow the Lord’s leading!

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Collosians 2:8

After listening to individual interviews with all of them, Rick Santorum is definitely the choice, however, we always seems to get the choice that the RINO Republicans want because deep down they don’t want anything to change in D.C. Power corrupts and in D.C. it corrupts totally otherwise it would change.

I was for Santorum back in 2008 (wishing he was running). This past year, I have expressed support for 3 different candidates (you can guess who they were) based upon “electibility” — maybe a primary is for voting for the candidate that you really think would be the best President from those who are running, though. I know — it is a radical notion. Maybe I’ll be a radical and vote for the best after all — Rick Santorum.

Anybody out there with background info on Brad Thor? What are his qualifications that make him think he should tell people how to vote? One of the biggest problems we have in America, is that voters listen to authors, actors, commedians, ploticians, and other dopes, when trying to decide for whom they should vote.

Santorum? Santorum? How much of our money did Congress spend while Santorum was in office? I’m not sure what the amount was, but it was more than any U.S. Congress had ever spent in the …

      – He endorsed a candidate. It’s his personal opinion. He’s not telling anyone else who they should vote for.

I’ve read several of his books and he makes some very accurate points.

I have heard that Rick Santorum’s numbers are rising and that he is beginning to surge. I for one hope that’s the case, and why not? He’s young, articulate, conservative, handsome, experienced in government (Much more than the current President), fearless when defending his positions, and from what I can tell a well balanced and Gentleman of fine moral standing. He’d get my vote. Of course it should be known that I’m in Nebraska and in deciding the outcome of the Election, we aren’t very influential. Just wanted to put my two bits in.
