Biden on the Wealthy: ‘Nothing’s Been Asked Of Them’

 

Is it a gaffe or just good ol’ fashioned campaign rhetoric? No one really knows anymore.

Joe Biden, speaking to an audience of around 1,500 in Minneapolis Minnesota yesterday made an odd comment on what he describes as the patriotic wealthy.

“Now I come from a wealthy little state.   I found that wealthy people and very wealthy people are just as patriotic as poor people. But nothing’s been asked of them.  And they haven’t asked for” the Bush tax cuts.

Biden is from the state of Delaware, where the unemployment rate is nearly 7%.  The Obama Administration is currently trying to raise taxes on families making over $250,000.

      Yes asking the 20% to not only provide food,shelter,education,healthcare,cell phone and internet for 47% of the population,provide food,shelter,security,medical,education,internet,exercise equipment,everything lese for murdersmrapist,robbers,drug dealers and pediphile,and then supply teachers,firefighters,police,and governement agents with salaries and benefits packages no one in the private sector can get in those same positions,and then fund every government agencies,and loan program…..EQUAL NOTHING TO LIBERALS LIKE BIDEN

      A look at the tax records of Biden and obama shows:
      Obama paid only $500 to charity before he was running for President.
      Biden paid $0 to charity before he ran for VP.
      These are not men who were charitable with their own money until they were running for Pres. & VP.
      They want to spend the taxpayers dollars freely and carelessly – not their own.

    This guy is completely out of touch with reality. The rich pay for EVERYTHING, the top 10% pay nearly 70% of the tax revenue including money be given in the form of tax welfare ( earned income credit) tax refunds of money from the rich!

    I have a cousin who, every month, receives two checks from the government. One from SSI and I forget where the other comes from. But he is considered 100% disabled because he has HIV. 100% disabled my A$$. It does not stop him from going out for drinks on the weekend. It doesn’t stop him from smoking like a chimney.

    Oh yeah, he pays no taxes (gets a complete refund).

    This is but a part of the problem. Someone determines he is 100% disabled and he’s not even close. Doesn’t want to work is the problem. Would rather be dirt poor than have some self respect.

    Back to the topic. Joe, shut your mouth. Quit with the class warfare thing. It is going to backfire on you. Can’t you comprehend that? I forgot – you are Joe. Can’t wait for the VP debate. Sarah beat him last time. Ryan will use him like a tattered sock.

      In so many instances, SSI and medical disability is such a joke. Recently the number of people whose 99 weeks of unemployment ran out have been rolled over into the disability roles–so being unable to find a job is now considered a disability. Or the case locally where a fireman was granted a full medical disability retirement–knee problems. Since his retirement was based on a medical diability that income is non-taxable. He now has a part time job–winter only–was a ski instructor. And another fireman who got a full medical diability for knee problems(again!) and now works as a fireman in a neighboring county.

    Maybe he should realize that America has asked EVERYTHING of Biden and Obama, but America has received nothing from them, other than a $16 trillion debt, an even worse educational system than we had before, a weakened and demoralized military, and destroyed economy, and nothing but hatred between classes and races.

    Of course wealthy people didn’t ask the government for help, or anything, they did it on their own.

    Let’s see, you and your boss want to cut payments to physicians as the way to ‘save’ millions from medicare and medicaid… so docs have to work harder.
    And oh, after a minimum of 11 years post high school education because most of them earn at least $100,000 they‘re the ’wealthy’ you speak of, so they will have to pay more taxes…
    And, oh, we cannot put limitations on malpractice lawsuits, which could reduce the overtesting and overmedication that contribute to the increase in medical costs…

    you’re right, Joe, you’re not asking at least the medical community anything… or you‘re not listening to what they’re saying, because it’s not what you want to hear… i hope the educated remember what happened when Mao and Pol Pot decided to make their contries ‘enlightened’ communes, The only difference i see is Joe & BHO are trying to play the majority who don’t pay taxes into doing their dirty work for us…

    If I were a wealthy person, I would have a few things to ask/tell of the poor people.

    1 – I pay taxes for schools and libraries, GO TO SCHOOL! Read something!
    2 – learn to read, write, speak English.
    3 – don’t spend your student loan on drugs and a car.
    4 – get married before you breed, then stay married.
    5 – race, gender, religion is not a disability and should not make you the auto-victim.

    Biden, you might want to quit poking the people who pay for your constituents.

      You are so right…to see those who are on the dole that eat better than I do is incredible…those who pay their own way, struggle, budget for gas that is more than your mortgage, pay for their healthcare AND for those who are laying around on their butts doing nothing is getting old quick.     Well Joe, you are kind of rght – nothing has been asked of them – it is being taken from them by the force of the Federal Gov’t.

    Perhaps the takers in the lower 47% of the population should be expected to contribute…

    I am sick to death of working 2 1/2 days each week to pay “my fair share” to the gov’t so others who are capable to work can sit on their lazy behinds and steal from me

    So wait, last I checked there wasn’t a law of giving more. Your tax bill could be 10K but there is nothing to stop you from sending 15K. If Biden is right, then why change the law. Why not just ask them to send more?

    The wealthy didn’t get that way by having the government wipe their asses. These are the people whom have driven our economy for decades. Now our government that gave us gems such as social security, medicade, and medicare want to take complete conrol of everything by creating social unrest, pitting rich against poor, black against white and lets not forget the radical environmentalists. barack’s socialistic ass needs to go!

      Gonzo, he considers himself wealthy, and no one has come by and knocked his door to ask him to do anything. Therefore in his little world, no one has asked the rich to do anything. But then again, he also doesn’t think anyone ever has parties, get togethers, no one goes to dinner, or in general do anything outside of work. Because he is never invited, in Biden’s world, everyone just stays home and washed their hair.
