‘Big Man’ Viral Video: Scottish Rail Passenger Literally Throws Fare Dodger Off Train

We’ve featured a couple viral videos recently of European train passengers going on racist rants. They’re not necessarily “feel-good” videos. But the latest viral video to come from across the pond might give you a different sense. That’s because it shows a bystander (dubbed the “Big Man) stepping in to literally throw a fare-dodger off a train after he (the fare-dodger) gets into an argument with the elderly conductor.
Scottish news site Stv.tv explains:
The video shows the young man arguing with a ticket collector at Linlithgow Train Station for not having a valid ticket.
He swears at the ScotRail ticket collector who repeatedly tells the man to “get off” the Perth to Edinburgh train as he has not paid for his journey.
During the two and a half minute clip, the collector tells the passenger that he “can sit here all night” as he is getting paid for it, but the rest of the people travelling on the train will not stand for it.
The train worker’s warning turns into reality for the non-paying traveller when another passenger, dubbed the Big Man by social media users, asks the collector “Do you want me to get him off for you?”
He then grabs the unruly passenger and abruptly ejects him from the train at Linlithgow, before the Big Man receives a round of applause from his fellow travellers on returning to his seat.
And this is what it looked like (content warning for language):

Then you wonder why the people working for the Transit Authority do not get raises or why the prices of a ticket go up due to freeloaders adding to the wear and tear of the system without giving their fair share based on usage.
The stowaway was asked to leave politely. He refused. He then created a scene. It is within right to have him ejected from the train by force seeing as he was not willing to leave via freewill. So long as the force was reasonable. The stowaway was not beaten and dragged off. he was simply dragged off do to his unwillingness to pick his ass up and walk off after being caught. Personally, they should have called the Bobbies and have them pick him up at the next station. The stowaway may got a nice night in jail and a hefty fine for his indiscretion.

Posted on December 12, 2011 at 12:33pmThere is one thing a professor can be absolutely certain of: almost every student entering the university believes, or says he believes, that truth is relative. If this belief is put to the test, one can count on the students’ reaction: they will be uncomprehending. That anyone should regard the proposition as not self-evident astonishes them. … The relativity of truth is … a moral postulate, the condition of a free society, or so they see it. … The danger they have been taught to fear is not error but intolerance. Relativism is necessary to openness; and this is the virtue, the only virtue, which all primary education for more than fifty years has dedicated itself to inculcating. Openness — and the relativism that makes it plausible — is the great insight of our times. … The study of history and of culture teaches that all the world was mad in the past; men always thought they were right, and that led to wars, persecutions, slavery, xenophobia, racism, and chauvinism. The point is not to correct the mistakes and really be right; rather it is not to think you are right at all.

Posted on December 12, 2011 at 10:56amIt’s really pathetic that every little incident showing a vagrant in public acting out is attributed to Occupy protestors, or urban minorities.
Good show by the Big Man, but you might get shot or something trying that in my neighborhood, seeing as how the criminals are usually armed and the cops and politicians constantly fight to disarm everyone else. Just mind your business and let the cops handle it, they’re getting paid your tax dollars to handle this, even though you’re broke, you can’t afford to pay their salaries and pensions, and there ain’t no jobs.
That’s why I avoid public transportation like the plague. Dealing with Nazi TSA VIPR Teams and riffraff is not in my daily itinerary. But alas, they’re coming onto our streets soon. No avoiding them then. Next thing they’ll be doing door-to-door knock-and-talks with your local police, sheriffs, highway patrol, state police, etc.
“How many guns do you own, sir?”
“Are they registered?”
Resist.

We, worldwide, have the escalation in crime BECAUSE people have adopted the “i don’t want to get involved” (lower case “I” was intentional) cowards mentality (coupled with a healthy dose of fear of being sued by some left-wing whacko for doing the right there).
I agree the boy needs to get a clue, but I in no way would suggest the gentleman who assisted was in any way incorrect in his actions. I have done the same kind of thing myself, on NUMEROUS occasions.
