Bill Clinton Blames Israeli PM Netanyahu for Lack of Peace

Bill Clinton had some harsh words for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Thursday. According to Clinton, it‘s Netanyahu’s fault there is no peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
“The Israelis always wanted two things that once it turned out they had, it didn’t seem so appealing to Mr. Netanyahu. They wanted to believe they had a partner for peace in a Palestinian government, and there’s no question — and the Netanyahu government has said — that this is the finest Palestinian government they’ve ever had in the West Bank,” Clinton said during a roundtable with bloggers during the Clinton Global Initiative in New York.
“[Palestinian leaders] have explicitly said on more than one occasion that if [Netanyahu] put up the deal that was offered to them before — my deal — that they would take it,” he added, referring to the 2000 Camp David deal that Yasser Arafat rejected.
The Cable has more:
“For reasons that even after all these years I still don’t know for sure, Arafat turned down the deal I put together that Barak accepted,” he said. “But they also had an Israeli government that was willing to give them East Jerusalem as the capital of the new state of Palestine.”
Israel also wants a normalization of relations with its Arab neighbors to accompany a peace deal. Clinton said that the Saudi-inspired Arab Peace Initiative put forth in 2002 represented an answer to that Israeli demand.

Clinton affirmed that the United States should veto the Palestinian resolution at the U.N. Security Council for member-state status, because the Israelis need security guarantees before agreeing to the creation of a Palestinian state. But the Netanyahu government has moved away from the consensus for peace, making a final status agreement more difficult, Clinton said.
“That’s what happened. Every American needs to know this. That’s how we got to where we are,” Clinton said. “The real cynics believe that the Netanyahu‘s government’s continued call for negotiations over borders and such means that he’s just not going to give up the West Bank.”
This could be the start of a new narrative. Barack Obama made it clear in his speech to the U.N. this week that a Palestinian state can only be achieved after the Israelis and Palestinians negotiation peace. But with the prospect of peace increasingly fading, blame will have to be placed somewhere.
And now we now where Clinton will cast it.

The 1967 war consisted of 5 arab nations lining up and surrounding Israel to annihilate the tiny nation. Israel rightly and justifiably made preemptive attacks on these nations and took parts of Syria, Egypt, and the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza. They should never have given any of this land back to evil arab attackers. The founder of this evil religion, Mohammed, murdered thousands of non-muslims because they would not convert. This is how he took Mecca and Medina. They are still doing the same today. Nothing has changed with these evil people since Mohammed started this tyrannical form of government around 700AD. The Crusades were a defense against this kind forced “religious government” on Christian nations.

The same Mujahideen have been connected to the attacks in London and Madrid.
Not to mention the fact that we had Osama bin Laden in our sights and Clinton refused to give the order to kill him.
Cocaine-addicted philanderer Bill Clinton lost the nuclear codes, had KFOR stand by while the Serbian Orthodox Christian Churches were destroyed, supposedly accidently bombed the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, dropped Tomahawks on the Serbian civilians, and let the al Qaeda attack us eight times with impunity. More people died mysteriously during his administration than any other.
To say PM Netanyahu’s not wanting to give the so-called “Palestinians” a Palestinian Terrorist State is a hindrance to “peace” is abominable.

Also we forget how they got the west bank, I could be wrong but were they not invaded? to the victor goes the spoils! Why should Isreal give the palestines anything? Nobody else in the middle east wants anthing to do with them either?

Posted on September 23, 2011 at 10:50am@SHAMANWORLD: When the people of the nation of Israel finished their 40 year cleansing in the wilderness, Almighty God led them across the river Jordan and told Joshua that everywhere he set his foot and everywhere he looked belonged to Israel – the promised land. ( From then to now, Israelies / Jews, have occupied the promised land. ) Now, fast forward to 1948 and the present: the modern state of Israel was formed and the next day they were attacked by the surrounding Arabs. With this and every battle and no matter how badly the Jews were out numbered, Israel GAINED territory, with God’s blessing. All of that land is their’s “ and then some”. May our heavenly Father God continue to bless Israel, His chosen people.

You need to understand that in islam, once a land has been under muslim governance, it is forever muslim land. Couple that w/the inherent hatred Mohammad had for Jews, and every good muslim must mirror Mohammad in attitude and conduct, and you have a formula for never-ending conflict.
This region above all others is a study in both theology and history. You appear to be woefully ignorant of both.
