Bill Maher Defends Mohammed Remarks, Unapologetically a ‘Proud Westerner’

CNN‘s Wolf Blitzer guesses that Bill Maher’s comments last week created “a buzz” on the internet, but Maher stands by his statement about the ‘alarming’ number of ‘baby Mohammeds’ in England.
During a sit-down interview with Blitzer, Maher said that he felt no need to “apologize for being a proud Westerner” or for worrying about “Muslim people are in these [Western] societies“ having babies ”at a faster clip than non-Muslims.” He went on to clarify his position as a Westerner, or “someone who believes in the values that Western people believe in that a lot of the Muslim world does not, like separation of church and state…”
“I would like to keep those values here,” Maher concluded.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 8:36pmLiberals like Mayer are lukewarm. You just can’t trust anything that comes out of their mouths. One minute, they will say something straight out of the Communist Manifesto, and the next you hear Tea Party-like common sense. Chris Matthews does the same thing all the time.

I am tired of Americans apologizing and kowtowing to everyone from mexico to moscow, its time we get back to being proud, strong, people with morals and standards.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 8:20pmSince when is stating a fact racist or hateful. Some people might not like what the facts are but you can not dispute what is factually correct. You may have a different opinion of a topic or think that things should be a different way but as long as something can be factually verified any arguments are irrelevant.
I still dont like Maher. Never did. Never will. Birth rates do indicate a trend and tend to be correct. Islam is not a religion of peace and someday in the future Britain will have to deal with a muslim majority population. The only thing they can do is limit the amount of immigrants from muslim countries. They arent America. They can do it.

Left-wing media–what a bunch of hypocrites. I have to give it to the slime-ball Bill Maher: he’s right on this one, but of course we‘ve been saying Islam’s attempted takeover of the world was their end-game all along. Nice of him to get up-to-speed. He’s still a slime-ball.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 8:18pmDear Mr. Maher, you are a smart man, some would say smart-ass, but get this straight once and for all: Our U.S. Constitution does not speak of “a separation of church and state,” it states that THE STATE MAY NOT CREATE AN OFFICIAL RELIGION! On the matter of Islam and Muslims having babies by the dozen, you are right, it is an enormous danger to Western Democracies because they INSIST ON the religious state, ONE OF VIOLENCE AND INTOLERANCE. You, Mr. Maher, certainly understand at least one of those concepts………..INTOLERANCE!

Western Customs are Christian founded and that is why people like Maher are not murdered on the spot. As Islam has said, there is no room for Muslims, Jews and Christians in the same place. If they push their pagan religion in America, there will be repercussions of a magnitude they have never perceived.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 7:53pmOne thing I like about Maher, is he is not PC and will speak his mind as he sees it. I hate his elitism, this sense I get that he thinks he is superior to everybody and thinks politicians should tell the stupid proletariat what to do.
However, I believe he does think these things, and straightforwardly says so – and for that he can be admired. Though I also think he is hypocritical, since he will demonize and call names those who have conservative opinions, rather than respecting their point of view and havig an honest discussion with them.
Funny thing is, he is one the most outspoken liberals, and yet saying that he believes in Western values over Islamic values would be called extremely bigoted by most liberals.

Posted on November 1, 2010 at 8:39pmdontbotherme: This is probably the only time I’ve sided with Bill Maher, but I stand by what he said. There is no apology needed. We are AMERICANS FIRST. We apologize to NO ONE. I believe that Bill Maher is Jewish. I can understand why he would be concerned, as we all should be. Why should we worry about being fired for saying anything disparaging about a muslim or anyone else? This is still American; we are not a muslim country. We aren’t fired for saying anything about Buddha, Shinto, the Dalai Lama, etc. We have become so politically correct that it borders on ridiculous. How about being overly politically correct about America and Americans for a change. Wouldn’t that be a novel idea.

Indeed those of America are Americans first, formost, and always. No matter how much this garbage of Politicaly Correct is, I say this, we have freedom of speech in the land for now, despite Progressive attempts to the contrary. So I say, the Politically Correct thing in America is FREE SPEECH.
