Bill Maher Starts Fake Mitt Romney Wifer Movement to Counter Birtherism | Wiferism

Bill Maher, always quick with a joke at the expense of the Mormon faith, announced a new movement Friday to counter the “birthers” who question President Barack Obama’s birth certificate: “wiferism.”

“Wifers,” according to Maher, are those who question whether presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has more than one wife.

“The media can keep giving this [birther] story oxygen, but I think they are neglecting a much bigger scandal which is wiferism,” Maher said on his HBO show, “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

He continued, “Mitt Romney comes from a Mormon background, I don’t know how many wives he has — I’m not saying I believe in that, I’m just saying, he was born on a Mormon  compound….Again, I’m not a wifer, I’m just saying he has the blood of a nomadic polygamist tribesman, and I think that has shaped his world view.”

Showing a copy of the Romneys’ marriage license, Maher said he tried to get the original but could only get a copy — and questioned why it was only the “short-form license.”

“And why, why next to Ann Romney does it say ‘spouse’ and not ‘only spouse’?” he wondered.

Showing a picture of Romney with a “strained look on his face,” Maher observed: “That‘s the look of a man who hasn’t been able to get into the bathroom since 1988.”

With another photo of Romney during the 2002 Olympics with the Olympic rings in the background, Maher asked: “What is Mitt pointing to here? Five rings, what else has five rings? Five wives.”

“And why did Mitt Romney strap his dog to the roof of his car? Could it have been because the station wagon was full of wives?” Maher asked.

    You know………when I was a kid ….one out of 8 children, my dad lost his job and we had no food. Yea, no food……..so what we did have, we ate. I remember going to bed hungry many times and how we lived on white bread…….or raw oatmeal with can of milk. My brothers would set traps and we‘d eat rabbits sometimes but I wouldn’t eat it as hungry as I was. But I can also tell you we NEVER ate a dog! Not one of us age a dog! I imagine there were more critters to trap where Obama grew up than where we lived! Yet, we still did not eat a dog! Now remember, my brothers trapped rabbits and they ate them but I WOULD NOT eat the bunny! I ate bread with mustard or ketchup on it. But no bunnies. SO I do not want to hear Obama’s excuses for eating doggy. Sorry, I’m not that damn stupid or moronic.

      GRACE: I know what you’re saying. I wouldn’t eat chicken until I was nearly adult, Would not eat rabbit or squirrel, and never hot dogs. If we passed a cattle truck on the street, I couldn’t eat beef for weeks until I got the image out of my mind.
      However, you’d be surprised how many countries eat cats and dogs. I’ve even used to hear you might be eating it from some local Chinese restaurants. who knows?
      Bil Maher is a PIG, wallows around in the mire, but with all his wealth, he’s very unhappy.

      Why has a talented Photoshop artist not put Obama‘s face on the dog that’s on top of the alleged Romney car? Maybe a sign could also be put on the side of the Obama/doggy carrier, “Next stop Chicago!” or, “At least I don’t have to Wok!! :-)

      I remember someone saying… No one ever went hungry during the Depression. From WWII, I remember… Potato Soup, Potato Pancakes, Potato Bread, Baked, Fried & Mashed Potatoes… where Lard was Old Butter… & Water was the Milk… and there was usually at least one Meal a day.

      I agree I grew up in the 50′s in a similar way. We never ate a dog as when we had one it was a family member and we were not cannibals!

      Simply due to the fact that you would not fit in the carrier Bill Maher, and none of the family could have withstood the stench. I do not remember hearing you complain about the chickens you eat which are trucked to your favorite slaughterhouse in cages right out in the wind. Jokes about the marriage license? He did not create the form bureaucrats did and at least it is to a female which makes our creator most happy.

      Well to begin – I don’t subscribe. I have seen a bit of his shtick while traveling – enough to know I don’t care for him. General comedy is fine.       Obama changes names, nationalities, religion, etc. to suit his goal at the time. A very dishonest person with multiple loyalties. And America is not high on his list. Always has his nose in the air gazing at the greener grass on distant shores. Bankrupting American to pursue his fantasies.
