That being said, maybe its time to ship him to Cuba with Mike Moore, Sean Penn, Jane Fonda, etc. etc.etc.
Actually there is no point in arguing with any of them – there is no middle ground to find. There is no win-win.
They certainly aren’t going to change any of our minds – and it‘s clear we won’t be changing theirs either.
You know I have saw this guy on talk shows, listened and turn them off. Who really listens to this douche bag. He puts what into our world geeze this guy is a nut bag.
Hey maybe he could become our next wacko someone call the police quick he might get away.
You would have thought he would be smart enough to understand hyperbole. No lefties don’t talk about violence, guns and killing, they actually go a do it.
My thoughts exactly, but he forgot one thing: He was commenting on how the right loves their guns and they should just come out a state they are addicted to guns, like an alcoholic or gambler, but he forgot to state that the left loves their abortions and can not do without it.
Left wingers don’t talk that way? Francis Fox Pivens talks about revolution so does Van Jones. Someone in high office talks about if ‘they bring a knife we bring a gun’. He also said something about ‘punishing his enemies’. Who was it that was rioting and burning at the world bank meetings? Is it the Right that burns down housing developments and nails trees?
Yeah, a little hypocritical to say the least, when it came to the comments made about Newt.. He actually said the word “ HATE ”.. I can‘t believe that Leno didn’t say something right at that moment, like, ” Aren’t you using hate speech against Newt “? I bet the audience would’ve applauded that response, and would’ve made Bill look stupid.. Not that he didn’t do a good job of that himself… But…
Notice the rousing support that he gets when he makes his stupid statements, all 5 or 6 people This guy is getting desperate and it is obvious from his more more radical statements. Also notice Jay’s responses. He didn’t say a world and in a talk show host, silence can say more then if he was yelling at the top of his lungs. Jay thought the guy was a moron. I bet Maher never makes an appearance on the tonight show again.
Malone. Bill Malone is one of the best playing card magicians to ever live. Look him up on YouTube. A million and one times more entertaining than this other Bill.
Who in their ‘right mind’ cares about ANYTHING Bill Maher sayes anyway? I mean really,….this guy is a pipsqueek with a mouth like a Hippo. No offense meant to Hippo’s!
Oh but here is the thing to consider. You may want to discount him because you disagree with him, but he has his mouth on TV. Just like Rush, Beck, Oberman, Mathews, and Ed. This makes him relevant because he can influence people.
It is freighting to think anyone could take this man seriously. Can anyone name 1 person in the last 5 years that has committed politically motivated violence that was not a leftist or Muslim? This nut in AZ read the Communist Manifesto. I don’t know any right wingers that read and liked this book.
@ Hugh, what I notice has been neglected in his reading list:
George Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm
Ayn Rand’s We The Living
Beck neglected to mention it, as his focus is Mein Kempf and Communist Manifesto. Though, the contradictory views of this guy’s reading choices further reinforces the fact that neither ideology directly influenced the actions of this guy.
I am an avid Beck watcher and trust him more than anyone else in the media. But he is not perfect and has his angle. To have an angle is human and he is not a journalist. I believe in his cause and his motivations (his sincerity) and I heed his call to question with boldness. I live in Miami, FL – PRETTY liberal city – and people approach me all the time when they see me reading a Glenn Beck book and tell me things like… “Why would you read something written by that man? All he does is lie and promote hatred!” I usually smile and ask if they watch his show? The answer ranges from no, to HELL NO. I ask if they have read any of his books. ABSOLUTELY NOT. “So you accuse a man you have never heard speak, whose words you never read, of being a liar. That sounds like irresponsible fear mongring to me. Who TOLD you he was a liar?” Another response I have is to challenge them to cite ONE instance he lied or embelished. I have yet to hear a response. I grin and begin to “debunk” Mr. Beck myself. I highlight things he may have exagerated or takenk some liberties with or neglected to mention and explain that Mr. Beck asks US to do our homework. Asks US not to take his word for it, but to find the answers for ourselves.
To date, Mr. Becks ommissions and exagerations don’t undermine his message.
It’s usually a matter of splitting hairs. Like when he tells us for example that “THE PRESIDENT SAID that our energy prices will necessarily skyrocket under the Cap N Trade plan!” Not true. Mr. Obama specifically said “electricity prices would necessarily skyrocket.” See? Hair splitting. But it’s worth noting and with rise in electricity, it’d be reasonable to construe that other energy prices would also go up.
RUG
In the early days Ayn Rands book We the living was thought to be a pro-communist story, a movie was even produced by the party in Italy, was later pulled down when they figured out it was pro individualism.
AWWW, it’s the head monkey himself, imagine that, monkeys talk? although it is a bunch of gibberish, they do communicate with each other pretty well, LOL, bunch of evolutionist apes!
Bill, if you hate our constitution so much, why not collect up all of your stuff and move to Cuba, you’ll love it there, I’ll love you being there, freakin’ monkey, pig, oink oink
Im guessing he has had to sell his Grandmother soul at this point to get a reset on his fifteen minutes and he is working through his entire family tree.
He seems like a very sad, angry and bitter little man. I really don’t understand why he continues to live here since he obviously hates anything resembling liberty so much. Not saying “love it or leave it!” here, just wondering what compels a person to stick around in a place that obviously makes him so miserable.
This is of course crediting poor Bill with a normal sense of right and wrong. I suspect that he‘s the small type of person who cannot abide doing anything he doesn’t like and will be miserable no matter where he goes. His mission seems to be to ensure that everybody else is as petulant, angry and scornful as he is. What a pathetic person.
AND I really dont see any difference in what this sad LITTLE clown Maher is doing with his remarks
than what Jared Loughner use to do when he disrupted his college class.
You want to stop the “hate”? … Maher is one of the leading voices of HATE. Let him keep it up … he is showing what they are! Violence comes from the left and he is perpetuating it … it will come back to bite him.
This is the tone of discussion is our country these days and it is not a good thing. “Douchebag” name calling on national TV, extreme statements, inflammatory words. All of this nonsense is creating a climate of anger and fear. Beck is guilty of it too. Everyone needs to dial it back and grow the hell up.
“This is the tone of discussion is our country these days and it is not a good thing. “Douchebag” name calling on national TV, extreme statements, inflammatory words. All of this nonsense is creating a climate of anger and fear. Beck is guilty of it too. Everyone needs to dial it back and grow the hell up.”
This is due to the natural conflict between collectivism and individualism. I mean those terms in a philosophical sense, not a “gosh, a company is a group of people” sense. Both philosophical concepts cannot exist as “founding principles” in any nation, one has to prevail. Because we’ve had the alien concept of collectivism shoved on us wholesale since at least World War 2, the dialogue has become progressively coarser and coarser. Go back to the 1950′s and read what Bing Crosby and others wrote in defense of individualism, tell me that (for his day) he didn’t come off as rather fired up, the same for the hater type collectivists. I‘m not claiming that they’re as bad as we are now, rather, that the discourse is degrading more and more, the more we’re forced to co-exist together.
Philosophical collectivism is alien to our founding, general culture and overall mindset. It‘s being pushed so hard since at least George I that it’s no surprise that people are chaffing on the individualist side. On the collectivist side, they smell blood in the water and are in a frenzy, striking out at anything and everything.
Lacking some type of galvanizing event, it’s only going to get worse you know.
There is nobody more despicable than Maher. It‘s shocking to think that he’s a ‘celebrity’ in this country. If he had his way we would be a Stalinist dictatorship, run by the “intelligentsia” who think in lockstep with him. He makes my skin crawl.
Yes, the guys hanging out in ‘the backwoods’ are probably Conservatives with guns and they would probably like to use them on scum like Mahr. They don’t though unless the left try to remove our rights as given to us in the Constitution, which used to be the law of this land. Not likely the left? No, he’s right, they would be the ones we see looting and burning the cities, punching their opposition at rallies and calling for the Communists to tear down our great country. It‘s coming to the point very quickly when we will need to choose up sides and Mahr isn’t on mine!
He says there are crazies on the Left after spending most of his time demonizing the Right,. as a sidenote ,but he doesn`t realize he is one of them! Is it any wonder TV audiences are leaving NBC in droves.
This is why I go to bed at 11:35….so I don’t watch Leno or Letterman. It‘s all part of the 3 L’s – Letterman, Leno and Liberalism.
A wise person told me long ago when you point a finger at one person or group, you have 3 more pointing back at you. They are the ones that are ramping up the vitriolic rhetoric. Maher makes me want to puke.
No. He is an American just like you. He cares about his country just like you. He makes mistakes just like you. He talks for a living just like Rush,Hannity, Beck, and Mathews and Ed. He is funny sometimes. He is over the top sometimes. He is American. He is not the enemy. He is not a Nazi, Socialist, or a Communist.
Oh, and his tirades aren’t ever hysterical and irrational – no, just absurd and slanderous. All these talking heads that dish the Constitution really ought to go get a talk show in Iran, Venzuela, or Cuba. I’m sure they would be much happier without a constitution to give them the right to dish the Constitution and the folks who support and care deeply it.
Jay what is wrong with you? Giving the left these platforms to TRY and tear down the majority of Americans. yopu must feel the same way. I thought your show was suppose to be funny.
I’m with HIGHCARRY on this one, wow! This freak is losing it and looks nervous and it’s incredible how he says exactly what he is complaining about, that’s insanity.
When I was little, one of my younger cousins, would say cuss words and make me laugh. Which would upset my parents and his parents. They would always say “Stop laughing. Laughing only ecourages him to do it more.” I couldn’t help it. Which brings me to Maher. Why does HE keep doing it? Nobody’s laughing.
I don‘t know why we don’t use good old fashioned American Capitalism to “vote” Bill out. You know, contact HBO and say we are dropping them or call our cable company and tell them why we are dropping HBO. Maybe a facebook page would work too…
I would like to punch Bill in his ugly, disgusting, weird nose. Oh, wait, sorry, this is hate speech. I guess we should ban people from saying, or believing certain things. But then again, if we do that, aren’t we losing are freedom in the good old U.S.A.?
Dangerous territory, we as a country, are emmersing ourselves into. “can’t offend anyone”, “guns are to blame, ban them”, “talk radio is the culprit, take it off the air”.
Here is more of you progressive politeness and civility. It is also more of your progressive intelligence (zero) when it comes to understanding the framework of this great country.
Ghost of jeff, I tend to agree with your observations. Add in the coarsening of our society in general, even among the people here on The Blaze that think of themselves as religious, and we have a recipe for turmoil. That’s all the morwe reason we need poeple in the spotlight to tone down their rhetoric and use intelligent communication instead of emotional rants. Beck fears his ratings will slump more if he doesn’t feed his audience red meat however. Same thing with the rest of them on talk radio. It’s pretty disgusting that they all, on both sides in talk radio, put making a dollar ahead of their country.
@beckisnuts – I find it humorous that you advise, “Everyone needs to dial it back and grow the hell up”, after you specifically poke at another poster, “Dashripro sounds angrier”, please practice what you preach. If you want to discuss issues and debate, the great majority on this site will respect you if you respect them in the process. I have not seen that from you so far. So far, you come on here and act the opposite of what you are asking other to do, “grow the hell up”.
I have heard of sore losers…now bear witness to them. We don’t think like you, do you get it? We voted your loons out of office in 2010 and getting for the big dance in 2012. This whole story is nothing more than airtime to an airhead. Oh, he forgot to blame Bush….now that is in his liberal creed…you always blame Bush. Of course, nowadays, blame Palin, Rush and Beck….
As much as I can’t stand this little punk, he has every right to say what he says. But there is a double standard cause so many libs are saying we must be careful what we say, “words can hurt”. Of course that only goes for us conservatives, the progressive ******** can say whatever they want to because they are so enlightened, and according to them, us conservatives are now just getting out of the Stone Age. Maher wouldn’t last a week out of Hollywood, especially if he had to get a real job.
GHOSTOFJEFFERSON
Great post @9:53
This from CG Jung
All mass movements, as one might expect, slip with the greatest of ease down an inclined plane made up of large numbers. Where the many are, there is security; what the many believe must of course be true; what the many want must be worth striving for, and necessary, and therefore good. In the clamour of the many resides the power to snatch wish-fulfilments by force; sweetest of all, however, is that gentle and painless slipping back into the kingdom of childhood, into the paradise of parental care, into happy-go-luckiness and irresponsibility. All the thinking and looking after are done from the top; to all questions there is an answer, and for all needs the necessary provision is made. The infantile dream-state of the mass man is so unrealistic that he never thinks to ask who is paying for this paradise. The balancing of accounts is left to a higher political or social authority, which welcomes the task, for its power is thereby increased; and the more power it has, the weaker and more helpless the individual becomes.
Whenever social conditions of this type develop on a large scale, the road to tyranny lies open and the freedom of the individual turns into spiritual and physical slavery.
Consider this if any of what he said was true he would be dead now. A marksman could take this guy out from 1000 yards away. So if the people he is talking about were really about what he says they are then he would no longer be walking the earth in a physical form. Thank God for all the right thinking people that own firearms and protect their families and all of us, many of the NRA members are Law Enforcement officers local, city, state, federal and/or ex military. This guy lives in a delusional word of make believe.
You have to love idiot’s like this, they can’t keep there mouth shut for one minute, they have to continue to show the world and country how full of hate they are because thing’s are not going there way anymore.
No doubt Obama will call Maher and thank him to This has to be the first president that aline‘s himself with what most people see as street scum and nutjob’s.
Campaign on Obama no doubt you will be relected………………………in your world.
the left are a bunch of idiots. If we don’t have the constitution, we don’t have a country. There is no way in hell that texas and the other conservative states will ever join a union with the dumb liberal states. If the left gets rid of the constitution like they want to, there would be no country left. The conservatives can form there own country with each other or just seperately.
Wait, I’m sorry. Isn’t this the piece of human garbage that said we DESERVED 911?!!!! Bill, the Constitution gave you the right to go on TV and be such a fool. You of all people must understand that. If not, please go to Iran or Afghanistan and live there. I’m sure if you speak like that about the majority of the people in one of THOSE countries, it will go fine.
@beckisnuts – “Pajamama, you are confusing humor with acrimony. I could expand on that statement, but in the interest of civility, I’ll leave it there.”
Ah yes, the Bill Maher defense. And you still don’t get it! You point the fingers at others but play the same game you rail against. The moniker is Pajamash yet you purposely change it to incite. You talk civility but the undercurrent is “I’m going to push your buttons”. We see your true self! Even your moniker shows your true intentions.
listen to all the Kalifornicators clapping, isn’t that special? this evoultionist monkey needs to go away to a communist country, then try to open his blasphemous mouth there, LOL, what a ******* retread!
I think I am disfunctional… I know better than to ever watch anything this man is on, but like a train wreck, I do not turn my head and go on.. Oh no! I have to go and waste another couple minutes of my life to see the crackhead one more time.
The right is the violent loving side…..this out of one side of his mouth as he can barely contain his anger as he states he has a most hated list…..And the right has the kooks and loonies….yeah right, gotcha there Bill…..Hypocrisy makes you look so ridiculous and and so easily dismissed from any real discussion it honestly isn’t even any effort to PROVE all the errors and falsehoods in your little sermon. All I saw was arrogance, pride, and hatred for anyone that doesn’t fall in line with his beliefs.
People, you have to realize there is a group of individuals worldwide that promote evil. You will know who they are because they use the hand sign called the DEVIL’S HAND. A known gang called MS13 have this sign tatooed on their body and they tell you it means the DEVIL’S HAND. The church of satan uses this sign and they say the same thing. You will see this sign everywhere used by people that promote evil or are told to do so. This is no joke! Any person in the music, film, political, and sports industry that are famous use this sign. The Clintons, Bushs, Arafat, Lebron james, Kobe Bryant, Bill Maher, the Pope, Jay Z, Obama, Michelle Obama, Tom Cruise, Kanye West, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Eminem, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, The Royal Family, and many many more. Don’t take my word, do your own research and you will see for yourself. These people use other signs like the all seeing eye (the eye of Horus or showing one eye) and the triple 6 (pointer finger meets with thumb and other fingers extend out to form 3 6′s) and the triangle (pointer fingers from both hands meet and so do thumbs to form triangle). All of these signs support the devil.
So sad how people agree with him. Guns are not a vice. People have a right to protect themselves. Would he rather guns only be in the hands of criminals? With good citizens given the right to bare arms we have a safer country. Just like a strong United States defense helps to make us safer. It‘s an no brainer that these far left bleeding heart liberals can’t seem to get. This guy needs to leave the country…this place is just not for him.
We are making progress. Five years ago Jay’s audience would be rolling in the aisles laughing at this idiot. Now I hear no laughter, now I hear boos, and now the audience is uncomfortable.
@BeckIsNuts – You have been spewing your opinions around this site for awhile about Beck when it’s not relevant as per this thread/blog. WE get it, you don’t like him…nobody cares. Go about your merry way and make an actual point to bring about intellectual dialogue as we like to engage in. I can’t stand Obama, but I won’t bring that opinion into every discussion whether relevant or not.
Anyways, MY point about this buffoon on the Leno show indicates to me that he loves to hear himself talk. He is strictly an entertainer and has no insight to real society. He signs autographs and makes a good living. He has all the right to do so and I wish him well as nothing he says will ever affect any decision I ever make whether I hear him speak regularly or never at all. Something liberals will have to learn to do is:
– Change the channel if you don’t like the show
– Eat something else if you don’t like the food
– Listen to the music you like and avoid music you don’t like
Funny, I give the misguided liberal community a few days to point out that Target’s insignia is offensive and they should have to remove the bullseye as it would offend Walmart and could incite a riot. Liberals are funny people with loud voices with no substance….kind of like Bill Maher!
In a last-ditch effort to salvage the Democratic majority, President Obama is encouraging Hispanic voters to remain inspired by stalled immigration “reform” to vote against Republicans on Election Day. More importantly, President Obama is inspiring his constituents to “punish our enemies and reward our friends,” Suck it Bill
I hate to agree with becksnuts, but he partially right. How come what the left cries about how bad beck and the others are they never mention piven, rev.wright, rev al, calypso louey and the new black panters? how can the be so selective and ignorant?
The conservatives have again take the high ground on this non political event.
The more the right wing nuts shrill – the bigger the backlash by normal logical thinking Americans.
Let them go!
We are not done yet – Vote in 2012
One night I sat down and watched half of a Bill Maher show. I found it to be childish rant mixed with profanity and turned to something a little more educational, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” I have never tuned in on Bill Maher again. I don’t miss it!
Wrath is horendous
and
ANGER is a turmoil
but
who can stand above Envy?
Proverbs 27:4
Poor Bill Maher is ALWAYS angry and teed off about somebody or something; it’s the way he gains his notorioty and makes a “Job” for himself. If everyone will simply IGNORE Maher, he will not be noticed or quoted; ergo, NO JOB.
Bill Maher is a comedian who has been elevated to a position of someone who is politically credible and relevant. He now believes is own publicity. He actually believes that he is the smartest person in the room and that his fellow citizens are stupid if they don’t agree with him. By the way, many of these anti-Second Amendment entertainers have bodyguards to assure their safety – something many of us cannot afford.
Over A year ago I had HBO turn off thinks to Bill Maher. I say thankyou again Bil I don`t miss anything and safe money too.
I wish everyong would have there HBO turn off and tell them we don`t want to liston to people who HATE America like he(Bill) does, we can allways flip over to MSNBC for that or liston to Mr. barack hussien barry soetoro muslim anti-american if we want to liston to some sick ass hole talk about hating America.
Umm…..democrats have guns too. Democrats join the military. Democrats eat their vegetables. Democrats put their pants on just like Right-Wingers. So is this guy saying that democrats are all nice and right-wingers are blood thirsty mongrels? That’s a very ignorant view of America. I don’t see right-wingers with guns shooting people left and right do you? I mean this guy makes it sound like the streets of America are filled with blood from right-wingers shooting everyone in sight. What an idiot………..
More like a useless idiot. He is a fine example of the esteem in which most liberals hold the constitution. For him its just a list of suggestions like a cake recipe.

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 12:19pm@ Hugh, what I notice has been neglected in his reading list:

This is of course crediting poor Bill with a normal sense of right and wrong. I suspect that he‘s the small type of person who cannot abide doing anything he doesn’t like and will be miserable no matter where he goes.

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 9:27pmOne night I sat down and watched half of a Bill Maher show. I found it to be childish rant mixed with profanity and turned to something a little more educational, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” I have never tuned in on Bill Maher again. I don’t miss it!

Posted on January 13, 2011 at 10:34amBill Maher is a comedian who has been elevated to a position of someone who is politically credible and relevant. He now believes is own publicity. He actually believes that he is the smartest person in the room and that his fellow citizens are stupid if they don’t agree with him. By the way, many of these anti-Second Amendment entertainers have bodyguards to assure their safety – something many of us cannot afford.

Posted on January 13, 2011 at 8:36pmUmm…..democrats have guns too.
