Fox News Host Bill O’Reilly was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno Friday, where the commentator discussed his opinion on the upcoming Iowa Caucus, a Rick Perry ad, and gave some interesting comments about former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.
O’Reilly told Leno that Cain was never a serious candidate, pointing to Cain’s campaign staff structure in Iowa and New Hampshire, as well as his inability to effectively answer foreign policy questions during interviews. Additionally, O‘Reilly predicted that Cain’s endorsement will mean nothing.
While he is no longer a candidate, O’Reilly told Leno that Cain may pick up some votes next year on Dancing with the Stars:
Later on in the interview O’Reilly said that GOP presidential candidates skipping out on the Newsmax debate hosted by Donald Trump, were missing out on an opportunity to connect with voters who do not usually watch debates.

However, it has gotten tiring to watch his ego get out of hand all the time, his talking over guests and in general trying to impress us with his lack of wisdom. He and Doocy are twins separated at birth.

Posted on December 11, 2011 at 9:17amEvery time he mentions Cain, he mentions DWTS. I think he wants a shot at DWTS. Cain may have been rusty on some of the foreign involvements, especially when he allowed himself to be interviewed having 4 hours sleep – stupid move. But at least he knows there are 50 US states, Hawaii is not part of Asia, and on and on (you’ve all seen the film clips) unlike BHO.
Also from the attempt to interview O’Rielly on his walk to the WH – you can see he uses cheap umbrellas – quality umbrellas don’t fall apart the first time they are flipped inside out in the wind. O’Rielly probably buys his suits off the rack at Walmart too! I wish the women/men in his closet would start coming out – he has to big of an ego to stay around.

Posted on December 10, 2011 at 10:13pmDemocrats have been saying for some time that the Fox Evening Edition is not news but an entertainment type of news with only opinions being told but no facts. I didnt believe it but caught Rupert Murdoch on The Kaleb Report the other night 1am and he actually said that it was the truth when questioned. He said that they reporters should not be cinsidered journalists but “Commentators” and for the best part they are aonly giving their own opinions “not facts”. When questioned if this was the right thing to do he said “The American people want Entertainment”, “If they know that it is only the commentators opinion, then I think it is fine, we have to give the American Public what they want and they want entertainment”. I was very surprised and wont watch Fox News Evening Addition anymore. I want facts not opinions of commentators. Shame on Rupert Murdock for allowing this to happen and for allowing the Commentators to present their opinions as fact. Now I have to eat crow with my Democrat friends. Im not real happy about that. It was on OPB/PBS “Kaleb Report” I think it was either Dev 5th or 7th. Were any of you aware of this?

Report Post »Fly on the Wall
Posted on December 11, 2011 at 1:50amFUGMAN…Then I’ll say it, too. It’s been obvious for a long time that most of what FOX doles out is opinion. Sometimes it‘s the host’s opinion but many times they get memos to push a point of view or rephrase wording in a calculated and devious way to sway people. Yes, there are a couple that attempt to give some more factual information (Shep comes to mind) but most are just regurgitating the political lines fed them. I especially love their “fair and balanced” baloney. Makes me laugh every time I hear it. And when Bill O. claims there is no room on his show for lies or swaying of the facts, it’s almost too much to bear! He’s only second to, and sometimes tied with Hannity. And to be given the honor by several studies to have the least informed and the most incorrectly informed viewers must warm their hearts. I think most people who watch FOX for their “news” have no idea that the majority of their programs are commentaries and not straight news. Yes, other networks have some of the same but FOX has the least number of semi-news programs.

Posted on December 10, 2011 at 9:33pmO’Reilly is a pompous ass. Has been for some time. Portrays himself as a know-it-all, and there are obviously many things he knows little about, or is definitely wrong headed in his thinking. His arrogance and haughtiness may well be part of what contributes to his downfall. his ratings have been at the top for a long time, but he could well be being prepared for a precipitous downfall much quicker than one of his nature and ilk could believe would happen.

Posted on December 11, 2011 at 9:05amSo carbon, what is it actually, you object to? O‘reilly’s stand on Israel? Or would it be his opinion on the massive failings of the current president? Or maybe his belief that the OWS crowd really has no direction? Or that the mainstream media could well be called Obama’s press corp? Or is it that this president believes in redistribution of wealth? Oh, I get it. It’s none of the above. It‘s Bill’s ego! That‘s what’s bothering you. Forget that everything he says obviously resounds with a vast majority of Americans (I.e. Highest poll numbers of any cable news show year after year), let’s just forget all that. It’s his ego. Well, you know what? Everyone has an ego. What, Jon Stewart is docile? You have to have an ego to do what they do. It’s really not about that is it? It’s about is the guy right on the isses of the day. And most Americans including myself, believe he is.

Also, I think O’Reilly has been more generous towards Newt than Romney.. he’s fair-minded instead of an ideologue (so he’s not throwing Romney under a bus) but certainly not shilling for Romney.

Posted on December 10, 2011 at 6:35pmO’Reilly likes Moderates because he believes they will capture a wider circle of voters, and he wants Obama to lose. The fallacy of this kind of thinking is evident right here in this thread of comments. O‘Reilly says he doesn’t take sides. He’s not ideological about politics. Historically, what happens to people who chose to sit on the fence is that both sides end up distrusting you. Look at all the negative comments O’Reilly always garners when his name appears on this site. A lot of people here are very strongly Conservative so O’Reilly offends them. A lot of others are Left leaning and O’Reilly offends them too. So why do RINOs always want to trot out a Moderate Republican? What’s so good about a candidate who will sell out both sides? I think I know the answer and it doesn’t speak well for the Republicans in DC. Or…would a better name for them be Democrat lite?
