Bin Laden Already Buried at Sea — ‘According to Islamic Practice’

WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) — A U.S. official says Osama bin Laden has been buried at sea.

After bin Laden was killed in a raid by U.S. forces in Pakistan, senior administration officials said the body would be handled according to Islamic practice and tradition. That practice calls for the body to be buried within 24 hours, the official said. Finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world’s most wanted terrorist would have been difficult, the official said. So the U.S. decided to bury him at sea.

There are also reports that the U.S. did not want him buried on land so as to prevent the grave from becoming a shrine.

The official, who spoke Monday on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive national security matters, did not immediately say where that occurred.

    We did see pictures of Sadam and his sons bodies when they were killed, i hope we see some pictures of osama, i fear we wont though, this may be a political stunt from obama to take people’s eyes off of gass prices and food prices. Glenn was right in so many ways. If i see pics of Osama, i’ll believe it then. I’m not standing in line like the rest of the Ozombies.

If you are a true Christian, and American, you understand why we showed respect to his religion. As for the sea burial, does radical Islam really need a shrine to gather around as in Mecca?

      We are better than the animals who would parade their dead enemies (us) in the streets. How did you feel when our dead soldiers were drug down the streets of Somalia?       First, I know where I stand with God and that is all that matters. Second, I am not saying he should not be buried, but I am saying that he should not be buried according to Islamic Law. By doing so we honored him. God tells us to love our enemies, but he does not tell us to honor them. Last,I think it is funny that you are worried about the lack of love I am showing about how he is buried, but not to upset about us killing him. I think if we were to extend love it should have been before we sent him to hell.

      Also, it is love for you to call people animals, but it is not love for me to say he should not receive an Islamic burial. I am confused by your reasoning.

      Wow, I am surprise you feel I was advocating dragging the guy through the streets. Jumping to conclusions about my christianity and my wishes. However, you are right we are better than that. He should be buried, but not honored in the burial. There is a difference.

      What really floors me is: If there is an article that brings up abortion or evolution, this commenters on this site are the Holiest of Holy Roller SuperChristians.       So this gave you a right to question my belief in God? Shame on you. Also, if you would have read the first part, I said we should not honor him by burying him according to Islamic law. The reason I believe it is honoring him and not a sign of disrespect is because : He attacked and killed us in the name of his religion, and then we give this religion some credibility by burying him according to this religion. We are honoring a man and recognizing the extreme religion that caused him to KILL our people. Furthermore, I believe we are disrepecting those who died on 9/11 because we are extending him the rights he did not give to our people.       Where in bible does it say that we the Christians should respect Islamic burial ritual? And, you say that we should understand why we showed respect to his religion? I don’t understand. Please help me to understand. You must be reading a different bible than the one I read daily.
      Our bible is clear that we should love our neighbor and pray for our enemies; however, nowhere does it say that we should honor and follow foreign religious practices for our dead enemies. In fact, the bible is clear that our God is a jealous God, and He abhors our bended knees to any and all foreign gods and/or false prophets.
      I understand that we shouldn’t stoop down to those barbaric Islamo-fascist terrorists level of behaviors, but, lighten up. People here are simply venting their emotional anger and exhilaration for the terrible things he did and for his death. Let us not use this occasion to somehow elevate and glorify the practices of this religion (Islam) of false prophet (Mohamed)

      So, if you died in an Islamic country, you would have no problem being buried according to Islamic Law. They have no expectation to follow Christian beliefs. The US is not an exclusively Christian country, we are not required to bury our dead according to Christian rules. OBL was a Muslim, and as Americans we buried him as a Muslim. He died, his debt was paid. There is nothing that this administration does that I agree with, but taking the high road on this issue I do. The way we handled it speaks more for our national character than anything. If we had done anything else it would have stirred up the Islamic hornet’s nest even more than it has been.

      I agree with you that this country is not an exclusively a Christian nation, etc., and I certainly didn’t expect a Christian burial for this evil incarnate; however, I did expect a simple burial, not a Christian burial or a Islamic burial. A simple burial would have sufficed. Let us suppose that this person was a Buddhist, would we have afforded him an elaborate Buddhist burial ritual? I doubt that. Let’s be honest, ever since the Sept. 11, there is a pervasive culture of Islamic apologetics and Islamic ass kissing (excuse my vulgarity) in this country particular and western countries in general. Do we not realize that each time that we elevate and glorify Islam during our conflict with the Islamo-fascists under the guise of ‘taking the high roads’, ‘out of respect’, and under whatever else excuses, we are helping them achieve their objectives and goals?
      So, let me clarify. My problem with your comment was that you were questioning Loveyourneighbor’s fidelity to Christian teachings, and in the process you were insinuating (at least IMHO) that the Christians should somehow honor and respect Islamic rituals and beliefs. And, of course, that is far from the truth.

      As for tonydarrington. My understanding was the burial was to take place within 24 hours was the Islamic Law that the administration was fulfilling, not the burial at sea (at least that is how I understand it). The burial at sea is a good idea, it is furtherance of an Compelling Governmental Interest. As for not inciting more violence, too late for that. We did nothing wrong before and it incited them against us. Giving OBL an Islamic burial is not going to change their mindset. They are going to want to kill us no matter what we do. They are already incited against us to the fullest extent (DEATH TO THE INFIDELS). What more could they want?

      Furthermore, you example about being buried over there according to Islamic Law, I could really care less. Honestly. Once I am dead I will be in Heaven. They can do to my body what they wish.

      Again you are putting words into my mouth. I never once said to give him a christian burial. I do not think they should give him the time of day for any ceremonial burial. He should just have been dropped into the sea without a second thought. Not to appease the muslim. It is ridiculous that it was even a consideration much less an action.

      However, in the hopes of a truce. We should agree to disagree. I am comfortable with my belief as I feel you are. I do not think either opinion is going to damn us to hell or should it bring into question our faith.

      Bushie I agree something stinks and it isn’t rotting fish. When Sadaam was captured and his sons were killed we had pictures and dna to prove these things. Now we the people have to trust that a lying administration has killed OBL and dna confirms this, but there are no pictures to also prove this fact. Oh how convienient how this happened so close to elections.

      I have always believed that OBL died during that major bombing raid we did in the mountains but never found a body. And if he wasn’t killed then how is a man that needs dialysis getting this in caves throughout Afganistan and Pakistan getting the much needed dialysis? Nothing is adding up here and if this was under Bush and we buried the body with no pics so soon after the claims of his death I would be saying the same things.

      I find it difficult to believe that if they killed him a “week” ago, this is the first anyone…anyone…has heard of it.
      ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC LAW…hmmm…WHO IN HELL CARES??? The middle east will errupt in a fury that we have never seen anyway. We will be hit here at home.
      Also, in a mansion in Pakistan.??? …Pakistan knew where he was and was protecting him.

      Thats exactly what ive been thinking! After the Hussains were killed we had pics as soon as they told us they got them! Now all of a sudden we got Bin laden dumped his body at sea? Supposedly! And no pics of the dead body? Come on people this is a total scam by this Admin!

      We, as Americans, should and will rise above such behavior. If the story is true, and I’m not saying yea or nay, we acted corretly. Yes, the gut feeling that we should bring the body of Bin Laden to New York and drag it 3 times around ground zero and then to Washington and drag it from the White House to the halls of Congress is in the minds of many.

      America is a Christian nation and as such, whether we agree with the tenents and beliefs of other religions or not, we should honor their beliefs.

      It is the barbarians, such as Hezbolla, Fatah Somalis and the Palestinians, who drag the bodies of enemies through through the streets. Go back in history. The Babylonians, Assyrians, Romans and the Huns all practiced this. As Americans,we are better than that. Leave it up to the barbaric, turbaned, camel dung smelling members of the extremeist members of Islam to act like that. They take great pleasure in acting like uncivilized animals hoping that it will strike fear into the people of the world. Well, it won’t.!

It doesn‘t have to be a public spectacle but I’m imagining a hush-hush midnight “ceremony” with a 55 gal drum, a pit, and leftovers from the local butcher shop.

      I think it was a smart thing to do, and I don’t believe for a second that anyone involved decided to do it out of respect. At the same time Obama gets his little joke in that we “respected Muslim tradition” right after we killed the international symbol for terrorism. Obama smoooth.

      Because of the constant repeating of these absurd lies, I almost couldn’t continue to listen to any more of it, or to wait for “Obama bin ‘al-CIA-duh(!)’” to finally come on and listen to his speech. It’s truly nauseating to hear these patent lies again and again, and that most of the “American” people buy the lies.
      It’s also nauseating that it’s all been going on for so long. Enough already! Those of us who are awake and face all of this fraud knowing full-well that that’s all it is, are sick and tired of all of the liars’ machinations, manipulations, lies and “smoke and mirrors”. But they’ve got to keep it up to fool the majority of the masses who haven’t woken up, won’t wake up, and who ignorantly aid and abet the madness and evil, helping to bring about the goal of worldwide enslavement that the evil Machiavellian manipulators are bringing to fruition. It’s extremely painful to have to watch all of this and be able to do so relatively little about any of it because most of the automatons can’t be reasoned with and shown what’s really going on without literally seeking our heads on a spike for speaking nothing but truth that is to them the “treason”.
      The extremely evil sickos at the top absolutely love scamming and deceiving “us”, and laughing at the fools “at the bottom” who are sucking up all of their fraud like it’s the gospel truth, and who are helping the elitists who want them all dead to bring about their own demise. Yep, it’s gonna take miracles of God to give everyone a chance to wake up to what’s really going on, completely face it and stand up for the truth; and God IS going to perform those miracles and wake up many people that you never would have thought could possibly wake up. We’re in that time right now; it’s begun; and as the madness increases, so too is the awakening going to increase to at least the same rate as the level of the madness. From there it will be exponentially greater than the madness until all those who could possibly wake up, will have, and then the final end will come, thank God (Revelation 22:20.)! Then the Angel showed me Water-of-Life River, crystal bright. It flowed from the Throne of God and the Lamb, right down the middle of the street. The Tree of Life was planted on each side of the River, producing twelve kinds of fruit, a ripe fruit each month. The leaves of the Tree are for healing the nations.       Buried at sea or in a meat locker…if buried at sea, the enemy will say UBL still lives and we should be killed. We have a pathological liar of a president, who comes out and claims he has just killed Osama Bin Laden, immediately ditched the body in the ocean, and we’re all supposed to believe it, with no proof? HAVE WE LOST OUT EFFING MINDS?? Sorry, photos can be photoshopped (if we even get to see them) We need video proof since you had to ditch the body right away. Show us VIDEO of Osama’s body dammit.

      This story stinks from beginning to end. I find it odd that Obama is claiming we’ve suspected where he was since August. We confirmed it last week and, it took until yesterday to kill him? Then we discover the body was “buried at sea” before Obama spoke last night?

      The stink in this story is so bad I’m climbing up on my desk to keep from standing in it! I don’t believe a word that came out of Obamas mouth last night.

      The question is, as Obama presents this lie with one hand…whats he hiding in the other?

      I just looked at a map of the region.
      If we believe Obama (and that’s a big if), the shootout went down about 10PM.
      Then they secured the area, got the body on a chopper back to Afghanistan, did whatever tests they do,
      Got the body to an airplane, flew to ????, transferred the body to a ship, sailed into deep water, and dumped the body. I heard it on the news by 3am. I don‘t think that’s possible.
      Did they have a ship standing by to take the body? Did everyone know Bin Laden was to be shot dead? If this was all arranged, why didn’t Obama mention it at his presser? He stated we “Took possession of the body”. Period.
      Something is fishy, and it ain’t Bin Laden.

      Leon Panetta was a Clinton staffer ………………Hmmmm.
