Bin Laden Documents Show Plan to Target Obama

Documents recovered from the Pakistan compound where Osama bin Laden was killed in May show al Qaeda was planning for the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 later this year, possibly by trying to kill President Barack Obama by shooting down Air Force One.

Officials say the terror group was also targeting Gen. David Petraeus, launching a missile or grenade at his aircraft as well.

CNN reports:

A U.S. official, who was not authorized to speak on the record, described the Bin Laden documents as “him in his brainstorming mode … hey, I have an idea, what if we did this.”

Another U.S. official said the documents showed bin Laden was interested in attacking the United States on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. According to that official, bin Laden wrote about “identifying a team of operatives to attack the homeland.“ But the official said there was nothing specific and ”it’s unclear his discussions about those operatives were more than discussion.”

The first official said overall, the documents indicate “these were ideas, not fully or even partially planned plots.”

    Whoever’s running that loony bin in DC now, should take UBL’s musings to heart.
    Barry, our magnificent empty suit, spends more time in AF1 then he does in his office.

    Now that he’s in full campaign mode, locating him would be easy. All they need is to make a donation and promise to vote for Barry and they can get up close and personal. Nothing means more to Barry then a contribution to his campaign.

    Actually, having barry hussien assassinated would not be a good thing. The libturds would make a matyr out of him. No, I want to see barry hussien arrested for fraud and sentenced to 30 years of hard labor at Levinworth, and then when he gets out he’d be disowned by everyone to the point where he has to live on the street with a stolen grocery cart to hold his nobel peace prize and other such junk. Kids would walk past him and he’d be all “hey I used to be president, gimme a quarter!”

You know the them, the Fed and our head of Treasury? How about the invasion across our southern border? How about cheap imports from china? How about unions driving our production overseas? How about a president giving our money and resources away to foreign interest and big banks? How about the fear mongering democratic party?

    Hey Gonzo, I had 2 generations there so it was they and 26 members of my family fought that war. Some died and some were captured, most lived thank God.

    No one should ever wish ill on the Presidency, nor even the President. I’m pretty sure some of the comments like “taking out Bin Laden too early” are meant in jest, they still not really smart. On the other hand, treason? Please. If someone is a 13th Generation American, and rest on the laurels that their forefathers fought at Bunker Hill, then I would tend to assume that history would be something that is valued by that person. Have you heard of duels? Have you heard about threats early patriots and Founding Fathers made? Please, stupid jokes are not treason. To tell someone to get out of this country based on senseless jokes is more treasoness to the ideals of free speech and America then anything said thus far.

      wishing a tyrant dead is not treason.
      talking, writing, wishing, praying and hoping can never be treason.
      actions are the only thing that can ever be treason. You have to sell/give information/weapons to the enemy or actually attempt to kill the leader, etc…

      by your definition, the german people couldn’t want hitler dead because that is treason? please… rethink your definition of treason.

    It was likely just an attempt by Bin Laden to stay relevant. He was boxed in and needed something big to show he was still powerful. Such a plan would have little chance of success anyway. I’m sure AF1 has the best defensive technology that American ingenuity can supply.

    Listen, no matter how bad Obama is as POTUS, the fact is he is the President of the nation and must be either voted out of office or impeached, if not pressured into resignation first. There are too many enemies of the nation, inside and out, who would love to make him into a martyr, and there are times I have to wonder if that indeed is what he wants.

    Sometimes the way he does stuff I honestly have to wonder.

      Don’t worry 13th, I‘m sure Obama’s Gustapo will handle these treasonous people. This free speech thing is a b–ch. Making innuendos about the prez goes way beyond civility. Words do hurt, not quiet like a bullet ripping through you, like Reagan or Kennedy but it does hurt. I don’t know how the prez can take it,he should have a life coach with him at all times to find closure. Sorry but it’s called being on the a$$ end of a joke, which I‘m sure your used to that’s why this hits so close to home. By the way, I can trace part of my family to the Mayflower and my ancestors have died in American wars also and proud of it but don’t claim their bravery as mine. I believe in what they died for and I will live up to my end of the bargain to make sure my children are free to succeed or fail, that is their choice, not the govt.
