‘Birther’ Army Doctor Who Refused to Deploy Will Serve Six Months in Military Prison

FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) — An Army doctor who disobeyed orders to deploy to Afghanistan because he questioned President Barack Obama’s eligibility to be commander in chief has been sentenced to six months in a military prison and will be dismissed from the Army.

A military jury sentenced Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin on Thursday after three days of court-martial proceedings at Fort Meade in Maryland.

Before sentencing, Lakin had been found guilty of missing a flight that would have gotten him to his eventual deployment.

He also pleaded guilty to disobeying orders to meet with a superior and to report to Fort Campbell in Kentucky, the base from which he would have deployed to Afghanistan.

      Let’s see, he has almost spent $2 million in legal fees to keep his records from becoming public. And why? Apparently because the information would prove EMBARASSING to the President, according to his lawyers and the judges that have thus far ruled that no one has standing to have access to these records. So you tell me, what could be so embarrasing other than his mommy’s daddy was not his biological daddy thereby having committed fraud with a bogus life narrative and in so doing defrauded people of their money (campain donations + buying his 2 autobiographies) and their votes.

    I don’t know if Obama was born in Hawaii or not, I assume he was. That being said, my son had to produce a certified birth certificate to attend the North Carolina State University. I had to provide my city of birth to the TSA last week to be included in an airline crew data base, even though the Feds have my birth certificate and passport (so much for talking to each other). I have a problem that you can be President of the United States and you don’t have to produce proof of birth, yet to attend college or to fly airplanes you do. Having been an Air Force pilot as well, I am pretty sure I had to produce my birth cetificate to get my commission. It is ironic that this LTC had to produce his birth certificate, however, his Commander-In-Cheif did not. We all know there are now two standards in the USA, the elites and everyone else (pleebs).

      The certificate he produced IS proof of birth. It will get you a driver’s license or passport. It’s what they give anybody in his state of birth who requests a birth certificate. It proves he was born in the United States. That makes him a citizen by birth. That is what is meant by the phrase “natural born citizen” according to every judge and legal authority who has written on the subject. Having one parent who was not a citizen does not affect his status as a natural born citizen. No judge has ever said that it does. He was fully eligible to run for President. He is the President. His orders are legal and Constitutional. Anyone who can still convince themselves that there is any logical or factual basis to deny the truth of these statements is ignorant, gullible or delusional.

    The correct response to this situation would have been for Obummer to prove he was born in the U.S.A. You cannot get a drivers license in Oregon with what he uses as his proof of citizenship, they make you get the certified long form here…

      Clearly it is not proved. It has not been addressed. Millions have been spent NOT addressing it, NOT allowing the argument or discovery.

      Don’t you realize when you are being gagged?

      If all the “rumors” were true, wouldn’t that concern you?

      So far there has been NO answer to these questions except a non qualifying document and a lot of “trust me”s.

      Until there is some kind of real proof one way or the other. You are only speculating.

There is absolutely no hard evidence that he was born anywhere but America. And all of the circumstantial evidence combined can at best give an extremely remote chance he isn’t American.

      There may not be any proof that this creep wasn’t born here, but you can bet your last nickle he committed a felony when he applied for scholarships as a foreigner stealing thousands from taxpayers, and would have never been elected president if that information had been allowed to be public. I bet he’s scared even today that they would impeach him if the truth comes out. For the life of me, I can‘t figure out why his grandmother insisted he wasn’t born in the US, also looks a little strange that she was the picture of health until she wouldn‘t stop saying he wasn’t born here, then was suddenly dead.

    An OFFICER’S (not Enlisted’s) oath is as follows:
    The Oath of Office (for officers):

    “I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.”

    Under the officer’s oath, he follows the Constitution, not the President. If he gets an order that is unconstitutional, or from an unconstitutional source, he is required to not follow it.

Whether Obama was born here or not- he did not produce proof of it therefore it is the Col.s solemn duty to call him on it.       Col Lakin was committed to follow and support the Constitution. He is going to pay a price, but I respect his sacrifice. He has done all of us a favor by bringing this to light for all to know about. The main stream media kept this from the public (including Fox).       While my concern is why he did serve one tour of duty and did not bring this up? I assume he got to thinking about it and just decided to take a stand.

      I will say that we all know he never stood a snowball’s chance of coming out of this any other way other than prison. Hopefully his guards will have sympathy on him and not be too harsh while he is with them. He is going to have a hard time finding main stream employment when he does get out. I would be willing to bet however that there are many persons out there willing to offer employment based on like beliefs………………..VICTORY OR DEATH

      It is reasonable to conclude that he was born outside this country. That’s why he spent a cool million on lawyers to hide his birth certificate. The POTUS has yet to show proof of his birth place, and his family swears they were at his birth in Kenya. I applaud this Army Doctor for standing up and doing what is right, unfortunately he is being punished for it thanks to a corrupt system that protects officials over the constitution. Examples of this corruption: Congressmen who aren’t jailed, or stripped of their titles for evading taxes. A POTUS who has no birth certificate. A POTUS who shoves monstrous bills onto the public despite public outcry against them. A POTUS who makes deals with Russia allowing Russia to mine uranium and have access to our power grids.       Issue of Passport?

      While I’ve little interest in getting in the middle of the Obama birth issue, Paul Hollrah over at FSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question: What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York, Jakarta, and Karachi?

      So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later?

      And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York, Jakarta, and Karachi, what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration?

      The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers. It makes the debate over Obama’s citizenship a rather short and simple one.

      Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
      A : Yes, by his own admission.

      Q: What passport did he travel under?
      A: There are only three possibilities.
      1) He traveled with a U.S. … Passport,
      2) He traveled with a British passport, or
      3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.

      Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
      A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. .. State Department’s “no travel” list in 1981.

      Conclusion: When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport.

      If he were traveling with a British passport that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims. And if he were traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.

      Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a “natural born” American citizen between 1981 and 2008.

      Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

      The military will do exactly what they just did. You cannot refuse a legal order. This is not open to debate, otherwise people die while you are holding your debate, which is why the penalties can be severe. This guy got off fairly easy.
      Refusing an order can also be construed as mutiny. In the British navy (early to mid 1800′s) this could result in as many as 500 lashes with a cat-o-nine whip, a painful death sentence.

      @guyperram, You are right, when you sign up for the military you should know what rules you will be held to. I don’t personally agree with that rule though, just for the fact that it can very easily lead to things like Nazism if the wrong people are in power and giving orders. I think if people are willing to serve in the military, then I can only hope that they have a strong sense of their moral character in order to stand up against things that would other wise destroy them and what they believe in. Like this Lakin fellow.

      If he had raised his concerns prior to his re deployment orders rather than refusing to follow orders he would have had a legitimate complaint. He refused to follow orders and left the military with no alternative other than courtmarshal. Whether Obama is legitimate as President is beside the point. He was sworn in and the military is sworn to follow the commander in chief period. I don’t know what Lt.Col Lakin was thinking.He had to know what the outcome was going to be. He would have gotten much more support if he had gone through the proper channels and a high ranking officer like Laken would have known the proper channels. It leads me to believe he was just looking for a way out of the military which makes no sense to me being so close to full pay retirement. Where is Wikileaks when you need them. I bet they could find out if Obama is legitimate or not. I really think the Clinton machine would have found out that Obama is not legitimate if it were true. Hillary would have done anything to have won the nomination.

      ROYALSTAR: Your arguements don’t hold water. Without orders to proceed to Ashcanistan, his complaint would have no legal standing and could be ignored out of hand. By questioning the legal authority of the chain of command, he had legal standing…or rather would have had standing if the legal process had been observed by the court President. Instead, he was denied every legal right that would be available in a civilian court, told to shut up, and take punishment for asking a pertinent legal question which was his right (and responsibility) as a military officer.

      First of all, the LtCol isn’t priveleged to the civilian courts as he falls under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice. Basically, he violated several articles which will subject him to punishment. Also, he doesn’t take direct orders from the president, rather his commanding general or CO. So in this case, he violated orders from his CO which affords him no safety net from any civilian court. I agree, we need to find the truth and put this to rest, but that LtCol is no hero, just a political statement in uniform. It isn‘t his place to stand out since they aren’t civilians and have no standing with civilian courts. Our military integrity is vastly more important to keep than this tirade since that is why we are still free. For the LtCol’s sake, I hope that Obama is guilty and we run him out, but I must say he is innocent until proven guilty. Remember that tidbit of justice?

That’s what Hawaii gives you when you ask for your birth certificate. The idea that President Obama was not born here has already been challenged in court 10 times at least (and counting) and every single one has been rejected. The governor of Hawaii (a Republican) has stated that he’s seen his original birth certificate. There are copies of local newspaper articles about his birth when he was born.

      No, the idea that President Obama was not born in this country is something that appeals to the same folks who think that covering your window with foil prevents the CIA from spying on them. Give it up. It just makes you look crazy.

She was quick to mention the news articles right after too, but news articles like that are easy to have have printed in any news paper that makes birth announcements, even if the baby was born somewhere else. say, Kenya… Also, Obama’s certificate of live birth, which is state is adequate to get any one a visa, is not proof he has a birth certificate in Hawaii.
      Why has Obama spent millions of dollars in legal fees preventing any one from taking him to court? he could just get a copy of his BC and show us, if he had one.
      The biggest question is, what are they going to do to compensate this man for the time hes spending in prison when we all find out he is right? 6 months of his life in prison, because Obama is unwilling to show his BC and prove his constitutional eligibility to be our president…

The presiding officer FORBID the attorneys request for Discovery, FORBID every single witness that the defense attorney requested, and basically told the defendant that the question of the defacto president’s qualifications to be president cannot be questioned, nor can anything pertaining to the president be entered into the court record.

      In other words, the defendant was UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY DEFENSE BASED ON HIS MORAL QUESTION OF THE PRESIDENT’S ELIGIBILITY. Such a “trial” has taken the United States military back to a policy which was used by the Nazi’s at Nuremberg….Our officers and enlisted members are no longer allowed to question whether an order given them is morally legal or not….THEY MUST OBEY, NO MATTER WHAT THAT ORDER MAY BE….PERIOD! And the presiding officer at the court martial did establish a legal presidence as such.

      Is our military being turned into a modern day Wermacht?

      Lt. Col. Lakin assumed the Constitution still matters.       While the civilian judicial system has so far miserably failed the citizenry by citing lack of standing rather than upholding the Constitution, Lakin mistakenly assumed he could trust the military judicial system. His biggest mistake was to assume I couldn’t arrange for a military progressive socialist democrat to preside over his court martial and prohibit him from presenting any evidence that could prove embarrassing to me or even worse, perhaps send me to Leavenworth instead of him

      Look, each Secretary of State in all 57 states and each member of Congress, had a sworn duty and a legal responsibility to insure I was eligible as a natural born citizen, meaning “those born in the country, of parents who are citizens” with parents being plural. Not one of them said or did anything to honor their oath by obeying the eligibility clause of the Constitution. Until Lakin opened his big mouth the issue had practically gone away, except for those pesky WND billboards Farah is plastering all over the country.

      Unfortunately here at The Blaze with regard to this article vaguely hinting at the unjust persecution of an honorable officer and a gentleman, who bravely refused to obey illegal orders, there’s a curious increase in comments obviously being posted by misguided liberals clumsily defending my eligibility.       I understand his plight, but he is still guilty and deserves to be imprisoned. As a military service member, you don’t have the right to question orders given to you by superior officers NO MATTER WHAT!. The military doesn’t live in a democracy, the just defend it. We must understand that the military is an institution of the utmost diligence and discipline which cannot be unraveled regardless if this LTCOL is right or not. You cannot operate under the premise that speculation should allow you to circumvent authority for your beliefs. I served in the USMC under Clinton and Bush and found Bush to be a much better leader in the fight for freedom while Clinton was closing bases and shrinking our military BUT he was still my Commander in Chief regardless. The institution of the military MUST be preserved over all regardless of speculation of legitimacy of the president. The military is not based on the individual, but rather the unit. I personally get sick when I hear service members spouting off since that is a distraction to the mission and actually derails leadership in place. If we allow this type of behavior to take place in our military ranks, then the young enlistees will see this as status quo and begin questioning authority on a regular basis which will lead to distractions and deaths in training and war.
      For the sake of truth, I hope we find this out and put this to bed. Regardless of your views of the president, our chain of command stops with the president and he happens to be Barack Obama until we can kick his ass out in 2 years.
