Black Caucus Chair: Romney Shouldn’t Have Bashed Obamacare in Front of NAACP Audience

Emanuel Cleaver Romney NAACP

AP

Mitt Romney had no business bashing President Barack Obama’s health care law to the NAACP, the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus said Wednesday.

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) said it was “inappropriate but predictable” that NAACP members booed Romney after he vowed to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

“I don‘t know who’s advising Governor Romney from the African-American perspective, but I would give him an F-minus on talking about Obamacare terms of repealing it. Not to this audience,” Cleaver said on MSNBC moments after Romney’s speech ended.

“If you want to talk about, you know, we’ve got to find a long-last solution to the rising cost of health care, OK,” he said.

Cleaver said he “didn’t support” the booing of Obama’s presumptive opponent, but wasn’t surprised by it.

“I think that was inappropriate, but predictable, when you start saying I’m going to eliminate something that the African-American community has embraced in numbers larger than any other component of the American society,” Cleaver said. “He should never have gone there in the first place.”

It was a waste of time for him to go. This organization is as far left as the CPUSA. He might as well have tried to give a speech to the DNC. Blacks will vote for Obama in a 95% rate. Obama could ask that the 13th and 14th amendments be repealed and they would still vote for him. He could murder a small child on camera on the white house lawn and they would still have a 95% vote rate. Romeny was wasting his time.

Yeah…you can’t be straight with black people..apparently you have to coddle them and tell them what they want to hear rather than the truth. And promise them “free stuff” too, that should do it.

I applaud Mitt Romney for having bigger b@lls than Obama ever could wish for. He went into a pit of racist vipers and told them the truth, he wasnt’ ashamed to be white or successful and he succeeded in highlighting just how black people have been made dependent on government welfare by bodies like the NAACP. Big Props to Romney..a waste of time as far as the NAACP is concerned but believe me..independents will notice..and approve.

The black civil rights movement started in the churches. Once it started gaining momentum, the marxist left and big government hijacked the movement.

When the center of gravity was in the black churches, family and faith were at the center. Once leftists and big government took over, God was kicked out. Out of wedlock births skyrocketed and education levels amongst blacks plummeted.

You could not devise a better plan to ruin black folks than to divorce them from Christian faith and get them addicted to government programs. If blacks ever wake up, they will realize that they have been sold from one slave owner to the grand-daddy slave owner, the federal government.

“The truth? You can’t handle the truth”! This man needs to realize that the reason blacks want Obamacare is because they think they’ll get it for free. And, most of them will, because so many are welfare state mentality non-workers. Is that something to be proud of sir? I disagree completely. Go before crowds like this and speak the truth. Have the courage to shine a light on what is really happening to the so-called black community. Don’t hide from it. By the same token go to university campuses and tell the students that their future is less bright because of the course our nation is on. Go to rural and urban parts of our country and expose what the choices made to rely on Gov‘t assistance do to a person’s life. Don’t just speak truth to power but also speak truth to the people.

IMHO, Romney treated them equally and like adults. I’m getting really tired of black people thinking they need to be treated differently. Every human being has had struggles and lay claim to how their ancestors struggled. Why can’t we all simply call ourselves Americans, without the hyphenations? I don’t go aound calling myself a German American. Hmmm . . . maybe I should start. But then again, how far would that go?

I suppose I wouldn‘t feel the way I do if I hadn’t worked with some blacks who played the race card every chance they got and stupid, weak-willed managers freaking out when someone complained about them not doing their work. I had to finally leave that hostile, double-standard environment. Sometimes I guess we have to shake the dust from our feet and move on.

Mr. Romney, you may have to do the same.

If one bothers to readwhat is being written about obama care. the low income will be on medicaid, along with the no income people and about 25 million people will have no insurance,. That is why huge chunksof money will be given to the states for medicaid but later the govt. will probably make the state pay all of it..( if they can) The illegals are on what they call emergency care. So who is going to pay all this money for the increased medicaids, the obama plan will be raiding medicare especially the medicare advantage policy and the people keep fiddling while Rome burns. wonder how China feels about loaning us more to give away. For some reason the NAACP thinks that ObamaCare will be all sunshine and roses for them. But that is not the way it will work. ObamaCare takes from medicare to fund other parts of ObamaCare. There is a little rule of life, if you are lucky you get old, if you are not you get dead. So those lucky blacks that get old, they will be forced to have their healthcare decisions made not by them or their doctor but by an Obama sanctioned board. It is then after it happens to them will they find out the hard way that it is cheaper for them to die than to be allowed medical care, even though they may have worked hard all their life and paid into the system without making any claims. That is exactly what is going to happen even to them. So not much sunshine and roses after all.

What does this guy want Romney to lie to sections of the voters?

Come on, one of Obama’s biggest faults is that he lies to each group he speaks to. He gives a different conflicting story for each different culture. Seriously back in 2008, I could go to each station and listen different speech Obama had with say white communities, and then hispanic communities, and then the african-american communities, and he was like a chameleon. He was multifaced, with a different message often conflicting with the others each time.

At least with Romney its refreshing to have a politician who remains consistent on his talking points and tells the same thing to every group on what he plans to do… It keeps him ‘more’ honest and less schizophrenic… Can he still be trusted as a politician? Maybe not… But at least he isn’t trying to be a different person to each different group…
