Blaze Exclusive: Congressman Presses Holder to Investigate ‘Terrorist Plans’ in Bank Plot

The Blaze has obtained an exclusive letter sent from Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) to Attorney General Eric Holder regarding shocking video uncovered by The Blaze on Tuesday.
In the letter, Chaffetz references video, posted yesterday on this site, showing a one-time SEIU official, Stephen Lerner, outlining a plan to collapse the American economy — including crashing the stock market — so that unions can become more powerful. The sinister plan is set to take place in May and includes mass homeowner mortgage strikes.

Chaffetz tells Holder “the escalation of Mr. Lerner’s threats would clearly constitute domestic terrorism and pose substantial harm to the American people and the economy.“ He goes on to request Holder investigate ”Mr. Lerner’s terrorist plans and notify me how the Department of Justice plans to respond to these threats.”
The letter, sent Wednesday, was also distributed to Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), chairman of the House committee on Oversight & Government Reform, and Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD), the ranking minority member.

Dear Attorney General Holder:
Recent media reports suggest that the former director of the Service Employees International Union’s (“SEIU”) banking and finance campaign has threatened to seriously endanger the welfare of the United States. In a forum at Pace University earlier this month, Stephen Lerner, the former SEIU official, revealed a “secret plan” to “cause a new financial crisis . . . destroy J.P. Morgan . . . and weaken Wall Street’s grip on power” by using “civil disobedience” to create “the conditions necessary for a redistribution of wealth and a change in government.”[1]
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.”[2] The escalation of Mr. Lerner’s threats would clearly constitute domestic terrorism and pose substantial harm to the American people and the economy. I am therefore requesting that you investigate Mr. Lerner’s terrorist plans and notify me how the Department of Justice plans to respond to these threats.
The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is the principal oversight committee of the House of Representatives and may at “any time” investigate “any matter” as set forth in House Rule X. An attachment to this letter provides additional information about responding to the Committee’s request.

Then you cut and paste the link to the 500+ comments telling him to do the same thing. (Its not like he could not come in here anyway, it is a public site.)
We need to take our activisim to all levels and support our leaders that are trying to protect America. Take a lesson from the liberals. Activism is a powerful tool if we use it right.
Send Holder a message, and ONLY DO IT THROUGH OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT WEB SITES.
If you go through a web site there is a potential that your information is being fished out, and that the letter never makes it to it’s destination. Rememer the liberals are very good manipulators and I would not put it past them to do something like that. I mean if they can make a plan to topple wall street, they could easily do many other things.
I‘m just sayin’ it is just as easy to find their official communication gov site rather than use a middle man.

Holder refused to acknowledge that The New Black Panthers were at fault for their actions during the voting in 2008; he won’t allow African Americans to be “brought down”…if he can help it! This in itself is worthy of treason but he won’t be charged — too many people afraid of him, for whatever reason. Obama IS tied to all of this and the sooner everyone acknowledges this (media and non-media), the better off we’ll be. But also why don’t we as individuals write our congress persons and our senator persons (yeah I know) and the speaker of the house and Mr. Holder as well and Demand a full investigation of this matter? Sounds like a plan to me. I have a curfew where I reside, but first thing in the AM I’ll be pounding these keys again. with enough of a pile of mail, something MIGHT be done. Keep writing until they are sick and tired of hearing about it. Two or three form letters ea to start and then swap ‘em out with friends. 2 or 3 million cubed is a lot of mail traffic. Seriously?!!! Nothing on the website about the Stephen Lerner story which Glenn Beck broke yesterday? Your producer said you “had not heard”. You check Drudge. But the fact that you don‘t follow Glenn’s army of research is very suspect.
I can understand the deafening silence about Lerner in the MSM…but you too??? My stomach turns to think that you because of competition would not pick up this HUGE story!!!! Please don‘t be like Michael Savage who is so worried about competing with Glenn Beck that he can’t support him when he often single-handedly fights and exposes “the enemy within”. You guys know Michael. You could be very convincing in getting him to stop maligning Glenn Beck and instead help further expose the salient issues Glenn tries to expose (often with no support from you or Michael…i.e. Stephen Lerner). Our govt has not ensured that it won‘t happen again and has done little to stop the ’too big to fail’ model that exists today. If you read his transcript it is intended to hold the banks accountable. I agree to some extent that those stories aren’t important, but I do believe they show how the character and morals of our country are going down the drain, which was also part of the progressive agenda. Other then that, yeah, they are non stories and this is what really needs to be focused on.
However I would hardly say the Blaze and Beck are becoming irrelevant, they are being noticed. While most will still smear Beck and try to ignore him thats only because they know that he is exposing them and that threatens them. This outlet is getting peoples attention because the truth really does have no agenda. There are also MANY people that were lied to, committed fraud upon, and pushed into loans they could not afford.
In order to get out of a bad loan, many home owners had to take out further loans, compounding the issue. Everyone in the chain of mortgage origination was guilty of something…everyone from the person needing the loan to the originator who got the docs together, to the funder who offers up the cash (warehouse loans) to the investment banks that establised the securitization process to the ratings agencies that rated the securities (AAA mostly) to the investors to the various govt agencies that were supposed to be watching the process. The only people to be held accountable for this in a meaningful way is the homeowner…why is that??

If they didn’t qualify through conventional programs they were sent to ACORN and came back a loan approval.
Many of these people were so under-qualified that the purchase of a washer and dryer before closing would damage their credit rating to the extent that they couldn’t close. I even had the pleasure of seeing one upstanding buyer who rented spinners (on the weekends and on credit) for his Tahoe which disqualified him until ACORN straightened things out.
There is no doubt that builders and mortgage companies were greedy but if you want someone to blame you might try Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barney Frank. They are the ones who thought the gang bangers and welfare queens deserved 150K homes.

I challenge those newly elected Freshmen that promised to clean things up when they got to Washington. They should be pushing loudly for an investigation and not relenting until one is initiated. Holder and his bunch are not in search of truth and justice, and that is a disgrace.

I just read the transcript on the Blaze, but there was nothing about “force or violence” in the speech. And note also the reference to an “escalation of Lerner’s threats“ which did not include ”force or violence.”
Okay, whatever, here are the facts. Some kook, some single individual, associated no longer with any organization, lays out a meglomaniacle plan to collapse the economy. You can watch right wing plans to take over the government all day long on youtube. Why in the world would the Attorney General spend your tax dollars investigating a claim, by some single individual, of a grandiose plan to collapse the economy? Even the Blaze doesn‘t claim he’s actually tried to advance his plan.
Wasn’t Piven going to collapse the economy? Wasn’t Van Jones going to collapse the economy?
Are you really so fearful that you think that some utterly unknown person – unknown until Beck talks about them – is going to come forth, rally millions of people into action, and destroy America? And enslave us all?
I guess it’s kind of fun to be paranoid and have your fears justified by an AM radio hosts. But folks, there really isn’t a bogeyman under your bed waiting for you to go to sleep.

I’m not sure of you have noticed, but Glenn is very good at multi-tasking. I say this because I get sick and tired of people trying to lecture Glenn on what he should do. He’s a free man living in a free country (for now) and he can do as he pleases. If you don’t like the direction Glenn is going in, you also have the freedom to listen to someone else.
Glenn has done more good for this country than any 20 modern-day civilian men combined!

His reason, it didn’t compare to the coercion and intimidation blacks suffered from whites before and during the Civil Rights movement in the South. Thus, AG Holder proved himself to be a racist along side his boss President Obama.
Justice is supposed to be blind to race, religion and gender. Mr. Holder investigates and prosecutes cases that may or may not be a threat to the current administration and it’s liberal left & communistic policies. He’s gone as far as to refuse to prosecute cases that HE determined were unconstitutional.
